Richard "Red" S. Josephson
March 13, 1927 - September 14, 2012
WILLIAMSFIELD - Richard “Red” S. Josephson, 85, of Galesburg, formerly of Williamsfield, passed away at 1:55 PM, Friday, September 14, 2012 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 19 at the Williamsfield Methodist Church.
Pastor Jennifer Seder will officiate.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 18 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Rux Funeral Home in Williamsfield.
Burial will be in Williamsfield Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to the Williamsfield Methodist Church.
He was born March 13, 1927 in Kewanee, the son of Sherman and Augusta (Theesfeld) Josephson.
He married Ruth E. Knight on October 17, 1948 in Brimfield, IL.
She preceded him in death on November 11, 2001.
Also preceding him were his parents, three sons, Richard, Jr., Randall and Roderick "Rick" Josephson, a great-grandchild and one sister.
He is survived by a daughter, Robin (Wayne) Helenthal of Normal, IL, two sons, Roger Josephson of Colorado Springs, CO, and Ronald (Chris) Josephson of Williamsfield, thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, a sister, Marian (George) Fidler of Wyoming, IL, and two brothers, Robert and Russell Josephson, both of Galesburg.
Red attended school in Williamsfield, and had worked at Caterpillar for 38-and-a-half years retiring in 1990.
He was a member of the Williamsfield Methodist Church, where he had served on the church board and various committees.
He had also been a member of the Galesburg Noon Lions Club, Farmington Moose Lodge, Local 974 and Caterpillar Retirees.
Janice M. Genslinger
(January 25, 1947 - October 30, 2014)
KEWANEE - Janice M. Genslinger, 67, of Kewanee, died at 1:19 PM, Thursday, October 30, 2014 at her home.
Cremation has been accorded and private services will be held at later date.
Inurnment will be in Evergreen Memory Gardens in rural Kewanee.
Memorials may be directed to the Janice Genslinger Memorial Fund.
Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee, is in charge of arrangements.
She was born January 25, 1947 in Kewanee, the daughter of Frank and Arlene (Doubler) Neufcour.
Survivors include her brother, Charles Neufcour of Kewanee, two sisters, Lorelle (Donald) Burcham of Sheffield, and Marsha Neufcour of Kewanee, three nieces, Lisa, Tammy and Audra and two nephews, Doug and Thomas.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Janice graduated from Western High School in Buda, in 1965 as Co-Valedictorian and then attended Midstate College.
She worked in the office at Harper-Wyman in Princeton, for over 30 years.
She was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed gardening and raising flowers.
Danny "Dan" W. Anderson
(September 9, 1947 - November 9, 2014)
WODDHULL - Danny W. “Dan” Anderson, 67, of Woodhull, died at 6:25 p.m., Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Marigold Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Galesburg.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 13 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Rux Funeral Home in Galva.
Cremation will be accorded following the visitation and private inurnment will be held at a later date at the Galva Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Dan was born September 9, 1947 in Galva, the son of Milford and Goldie (Burnett) Anderson.
He is survived by two sons, Danny Anderson, Jr. and Dustin Anderson, two daughters, Shelby and Katy Miller and two step-sons, Brad and Jeffrey Miller, six grandchildren, a brother, James and two sisters, Vicky and Nancy and several nieces and nephews.
He graduated from Galva High School and had worked as a stockman for several Wal-Mart stores and had retired in early 2000.
Anna J. Kuelper
(October 17, 1940 - November 12, 2014)
WATAGA - Anna J. Kuelper, 74, of Wataga, formerly of Hooppole, died at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Seminary Manor in Galesburg.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 15 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee.
Rev. Martin Gutzmer will officiate.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Evergreen Memory Gardens in rural Kewanee.
Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
She was born October 17, 1940 in Southern Illinois, the daughter of Jeptha “J.W.” and Clara (Garner) Denney.
She was first married to Keith Moon in January of 1961 in Kewanee.
He preceded her in death on August 2, 1973.
She then married Robert Kuelper on August 10, 1974 in Annawan.
He preceded her in death on March 4, 2010.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her children, Brian (Linda) Moon of Atlanta, GA, Brenda (Patrick) Weston of Kewanee, IL, John (Jessica) Kuelper of Rio, IL, Steve (Peggy) Kuelper of Prophetsown, IL, David (Melanie) Kuelper of Texas, Kim (Mike) Ingram of Lyndon, IL, and Debra Kuelper of Morrison, IL, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and one sister, Margaret Goings of Hendersonville, TN.
Anna had been a cook at Casey’s in Atkinson, for a number of years.
She also had operated Ann’s Café in Annawan, and had also worked at the Sauk Trail Inn in Annawan.
She enjoyed sewing, arts and crafts and had recently been active as a seamstress for the Carl Sandburg College Drama Department.
Cheryl M. Brown
September 8, 1933 - September 15, 2012
WILLIAMSFIELD - Cheryl M. Brown, 79, of Williamsfield, died at 4:27 PM Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Marigold Nursing Home in Galesburg.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 19 at the Williamsfield Methodist Church.
Pastor Jennifer Seder will officiate.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
Burial will be in Williamsfield Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to the Williamsfield Methodist Church or the Friends of the Doubet-Benjamin Park.

She was born September 8, 1933 in Williamsfield, the daughter of Harold and Esther Marie (Snare) Mahar.
She married Arlis E. Brown on February 26, 1953 in Williamsfield.
He preceded her in death on May 17, 1994.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, a grandson and a half-sister, Shirley Cook.
She is survived by two sons, Marty (Chris) Brown and David (Sally) Brown, both of Williamsfield, two daughters, Tamra (Gary) Smith of Williamsfield, and Gretchen Brown of Dunlap, eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Cheryl graduated from Williamsfield High School in 1951.
In her early years, she had worked as a switchboard operator for the local telephone company and had also worked as a receptionist and office clerk at the office of Dr. Bronney.
She was a member of the Williamsfield Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.
She especially enjoyed her grandchildren.
