Sister Jean Regis Ratoft a resident of St. Pius Convent, Stickney, died Sunday, July 18, at the convent.
A service was Friday followed by a Mass at Academy of Our Lady Convent, Chicago. Interment was Saturday at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Worth.
Sister Ratoft was born in Harvey. She entered the School Sisters of Notre Dame in 1942, serving 57 years; and was a teacher and administrator at elementary and high schools in Illinois, Indiana and Michigan.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Frances Ratoft; a niece, Aurelia Berner; a nephew, William Ratoft; three great-nieces, Marie and Frances Berner, and Gia Ratoft; and a great-nephew, Niko Ratoft.

Leona Williams (nee Jones), a 10-year resident of Hazel Crest, formerly of Harvey, died Thursday, July 22, in Hazel Crest.
A service will be noon Monday at St. Bethel Baptist Church, Chicago Heights, with the Rev. John Rice officiating. Interment will be in Washington Memory Gardens Cemetery, Homewood.
Visitation will be Monday from 11 a.m. until time of service at the church.
The former Leona Jones was born Aug. 17, 1936, in Newbern, Ala. She was retired from Ball-Encon, Riverdale; and was a member of St. Bethel Baptist Church, Chicago Heights.
She is survived by her husband, Joe; a daughter, Shirley Jones-Smith of Chicago; a son, Eric Jones of Harvey; a sister, Bessie Keye of Buffalo, N.Y.; a brother, Jim Jones of Cleveland, Ohio; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Catherine Mary Crowe (nee Bresnahan), a resident of Oak Lawn, died Wednesday, July 21, at her home.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday at St. Linus Catholic Church, Oak Lawn. Interment was in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Worth.
Arrangements were handled by Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, Oak Lawn.
Mrs. Crowe was a former teacher at Queen of Peace High School in Burbank and at Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hills; a real estate agent; graduated from Visitation grammar school and high school in Chicago; and earned a master's degree in business from Lewis University.
She is survived by her husband, James Sr.; two daughters, Katie Crowe and Maggie Sendra, both of Oak Lawn; a son, James Jr. of Oak Lawn; three sisters, Sarah Bresnahan of Oak Lawn, Mary Gesiakowski of Hickory Hills and Peg Wurzberg of Winnetka; three brothers, Frank Bresnahan of Chicago, James Bresnahan of Burbank and Joseph Bresnahan of Chicago; and two grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to CareMed Hospice at the University of Chicago Hospitals.

Jean Ellen Bertling was 47 years old. She was an aerobic's instructor.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; two daughters, Kate and Kelley Brunst; three sons, Michael, Stephani and Matthew Brunst; her parents, Juliette and Louis Berntsen; and a brother, Denis Berntsen.

Virginia "Jean" Fostino (nee Gaeta), a 22-year resident of Palos Heights, formerly of Blue Island, died Tuesday, July 20, at her home.

Mrs. Fostino was born Oct. 9, 1927, in Blue Island. She was retired as an audit clerk from St. Francis Hospital in Blue Island.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph; two daughters, Joanne Malm of Lemont and Janet Fostino of Tinley Park; a son, James (Marie) of Norman, Okla.; three sisters, Elizabeth Jaeger of Blue Island, Yolanda Krawiscz of Joliet and Ann Kramer of Winter Haven, Fla.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Mr. Dykema was born Nov. 16, 1935, in Chicago. He was employed as a customer service representative for Moore Business Forms; a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist, Lake Forest; and a U.S. Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Carole; a daughter, Beth (Kurt) Scherer of Silver Spring, Md.; a son, Eric of Streamwood.

Mrs. Christofer was formerly employed in the blood bank of St. Lukes Hospital, Chicago.

Her husband, Charles, died in 1987.

Mr. Pellino was born Feb. 17, 1919, in Chicago. He was retired as a production planner for Gould National Battery and Remington Chain Saw Mfg., both in Chicago Heights, and Altec-Lansing Corp., Orange, Calif., where he worked until 1986. He worked as a security guard at Prairie State College, Chicago Heights, until 1994; was a 1938 graduate of Bloom Township High School, in the first graduating class; and a former member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge, Chicago Heights.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patricia (nee Meehan); two daughters, Barbara (Al) Travaglini of Chicago Heights and Kathleen (Raymond) Capriotti of Westminster, Calif.; two brothers, Joseph of South Carolina and Fred of Las Vegas, Nev.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Her first husband, Art Ebert, died in 1957. Her second husband, Brian Loftus, died in 1984.

The former Hilda Nietfeldt was born April 15, 1909, in Homewood. She was a homemaker; a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, where she was active in the Ladies Aid Society and taught Sunday School; and a volunteer at Tinley Park Mental Health Center.
She is survived by two daughters, Lucille (Arthur) Hostert of Mokena and Carolyn (Jerald) Fedorenko of New Lenox; two sons, Delmar (Margie) of Monee and Vernon (Peggy) of Beecher; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Her husband, George, died in 1949.
