Susan Kilheeney, nee Kessler, 83, died Tuesday at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn.
A funeral mass will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Lawrence O'Toole Church, 4101 S. Lawrence Ave., Matteson.
Burial will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Worth.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W. 14th St., Chicago Heights.
Mrs. Kilheeney was born Nov. 3, 1918, in Chicago. She was a professional tap and ballet dancer as a young adult. She went on to teach tap dancing during the 1950s at St. Anthony School and Palmer Park, where she and her students performed many recitals at Palmer Park and the Calumet Conservatory. In her later years, she worked for the city of Chicago purchasing office until her retirement in 1982. She was a graduate of St. Louis Academy High School.
Mrs. Kilheeney is survived by two daughters, Valerie Vitek and Maureen Kilheeney; two sons, Martin John Kilheeney Jr. and Daniel Kilheeney; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Meek was an avid pinochle player and was a fan of the Green Bay Packers and the Cubs. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.
Mrs. Meek is survived by a daughter, Maureen Zawisza; two sons, Jack Meek and Kevin Meek; a brother, Donald Doyle; a sister, Sister Gemma; four grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

John P. "Jack" Purdy, 89, of Chicago's Beverly community, died Wednesday at his home.

Mr. Purdy was born Nov. 13, 1912, in Chicago. He attended Mount Carmel High School and the University of Notre Dame. In 1945, he founded the Purdy Co., a scrap steel processing and brokerage company, where he served as president. He was a 50-year member of Beverly Country Club, where he served as president for three years and on the board of directors for 25 years. He was a director of Standard Bank and Trust Co. in Evergreen Park since 1971. Mr. Purdy was a member and resident of Avondale Country Club in Palm Desert, Calif., where he formerly served as president of the homeowners association. Mr. Purdy was a member of Christ the King Church and formerly served as the head of the finance committee. Mr. Purdy was a member of the Western Golf Association and an organizer of many golf tournaments. He was also an animal lover and was a supporter of animal rights causes.
Mr. Purdy is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lorraine V. "Tiny"; two daughters, Ann Boyle and Joy Sullivan; a son, Robin Purdy; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Mr. Venturelli was born July 28, 1922, in Mark, Ill. He lived in Orland Park for 32 years. He was a retired machinist from Litton Industries with 37 years of service. He also worked for the Cook County Highway Department for 10 years. Mr. Venturelli was a longtime member of the Beagle and Bass Hunting and Fishing Club. He was also very active and a dedicated member of Orland Park Reber Tesmond VFW Post 2604 and Tinley Park American Legion Post 615. He served as a precinct captain for the Democratic party. He was a longtime member of Christian Hills Full Gospel Church.
Mr. Venturelli is survived by his wife of 58 years, Betsey L.; three sons, Gary Venturelli, Brad Venturelli and Mark Venturlli; a daughter, Paulette Weiss; a sister, Lena Cadegiani; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Heartland Hospice.

Genevieve Wendolyn Johnson Nelson, 84, of Chicago, died Sunday at her home.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. today at Elim Baptist Church, 10835 S. Pulaski Road, Chicago.
Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Chicago.
Mrs. Nelson was born on Oct. 11, 1916, in Chicago. She was given a scholarship by the Chicago Art Institute. During high school, and did all the artwork for her yearbook. In later years, she continued her artwork by painting traditional Swedish keepsake plates.
As a young teen, Mrs. Nelson volunteered to help with youth activities at Bethany Beach. She enjoyed swimming throughout her life. She attended Wheaton College and worked as an interim comptroller at Westmont College.
Mrs. Nelson married Delbrut Nelson in 1941 and was an active member in women's and children's programs at Elim. Mrs. Nelson also spoke at numerous churches and helped start the Beverly South Christian Women's Club. She spoke at clubs nationwide and was an administrative leader for Stonecroft Ministries in local and state areas. In the course of this ministry, she also addressed clubs in Europe and Asia.
Mrs. Nelson is survived by her husband, Delburt Nelson; a daughter, Barbara Hill; two sons, Richard Nelson and Stephen Nelson; a sister, Evelyn Walberg; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
