He married his wife, Rose, on Feb. 2, 1952, at Holy Rosary Church in Chicago's Roseland community.
Mr. Geremia is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rose; two daughters, Gail Rangel and Valerie Berglund; a son, Glen Geremia; his mother, Silvia Geremia; three sisters, Angeline Geremia, Elaine Kurzeja and Sonya Phillips; two brothers, Max Geremia and Ray Geremia; and seven grandchildren.

Mrs. Arianna was born Oct. 25, 1920, in Garwing, Iowa. She was a former resident of Blue Island. She and her husband moved to Lake Havasu City in 1972. Mrs. Arianna enjoyed cooking and painting. She was a long-time member of Havasu Regional Medical Center Auxiliary and spent many hours knitting baby items for the organization's gift shop. For many years she enjoyed regular golf games with her friends and loved to watch the sunset on Lake Havasu.
Mrs. Arianna is survived by her husband, Albert; two daughters, JoLynn Fox and Leslie Dearing; two sons, Frank Travis and Jeff Travis; her mother, Dorothy Halvig; two brothers, Ronald Steinhart and David Steinhart; three sisters, Ardith Stelter, Donna Moore and Diane Dean; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a niece; and long-time friend, Vera Herrly.

Mr. Peltz is survived by his wife, LaVonne; a daughter, Bette Jeanne Baron; three daughters, John Peltz, Ronald Peltz and Arthur Baron; three sisters, Josephine Wilsak, Ann Kalaski and Arlene Dudek; and seven grandchildren.

Lorraine A. Shane, 70, of Marion, Ky., formerly of Steger, died Aug. 29 in Kentucky.
Ms. Shane was born Sept. 25, 1930, in Chicago Heights.
Ms. Shane is survived by a sister-in-law, Margaret Shane.
Funeral arrangements were made by Steger Memorial Chapel.

Hazel P. Sullivan

Hazel P. Sullivan, 79, of Oak Lawn, died Tuesday at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn.
A funeral mass will be said at 9:45 a.m. Friday at St. Catherine of Alexandria Church, 4100 107th St., Oak Lawn.
Burial will be at St. Casimir Cemetery in Chicago.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 103rd St., Oak Lawn.
Mrs. Sullivan was born April 21, 1922, in Orient, Ill. She was a group manager for Illinois Bell Telephone Co. She was a member of telephone pioneers of America. She enjoyed arts and crafts, especially painting. She also worked as an election judge for the Republican Party. Mrs. Sullivan was a member of St. Catherine of Alexandria Altar and Rosary Society.
Mrs. Sullivan is survived by a son, William J. Sullivan; and a sister, Anne Cebat.

Elbert F. "Al" Appleberry, 83, of Chicago Heights, died Saturday at Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 330 Highland Drive, Chicago Heights.
Burial will be at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Chicago Heights.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Panozzo Brothers Funeral Home, 530 14th St., Chicago Heights.
Mr. Appleberry was born March 15, 1918, in Gerard, Kan. He came to the Chicago Heights area and worked at Columbia Took Steel Co. in Chicago Heights until 1948. In 1983, he retired after 35 years as an electrician at Bloom High School in Chicago Heights. He was a member of St. Paul's Darts Men's Club.
Mr. Appleberry is survived by his wife of 21 years, Josephine; a son, Keith; a stepdaughter, Mary Satarelli; two stepsons, Stan Kamanskis and "Red" Ruthenbeck; two brothers, Evertt Appleberry and Reynolds McFall; and 11 grandchildren.

Elin Hartman (nee Jonsson), 104, of Park Forest, died Saturday at Prairie Manor Nursing Home.

Burial will be at Skyline Memorial Park in Monee.
Visitation will be from 8 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hartman was born on March 17, 1897, in Sweden. She was a homemaker and a member of the Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Homewood.
Mrs. Hartman is survived by a daughter, Ruth Cross; a son, Ernst Hartman; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
