Born March 8, 1963, in Des Plaines, the son of John and Lorene Kraus Arnold, he died Friday, April 30, 1999, at home. Burial will be in St. John Nepmucene Cemetery, Fox River Grove. He had been employed as a landscape salesman for Martin and Associates in Vernon Hills. He was also a member of the church. Harry J. `Bucky Dunn' Dunderdale of Buffalo Grove
Private burial for Harry J. `Bucky Dunn' Dunderdale , 92, formerly of Arlington Heights, will be held at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine. Born Feb. 23, 1907, Mr. Dunderdale died Friday, April 30, 1999, at Evanston Hospital in Evanston. He was a retired textile salesman. Harry had a smile and a good word for everyone. He loved the Bulls, Bears and prayed for a Cubs championship in his lifetime. A longtime minor league baseball player, he loved to talk sports with his friends. Harry loved his family. Raymond C. Molitor of South Elgin
Memorial services for Raymond C. Molitor, 77, formerly of Batavia, will be held at 7 p. m. Monday at Yurs-Peterson Funeral Home, 209 South Batavia Ave., Batavia. Born June 10, 1921, in Aurora, the son of Matthew J. and Anna (nee Kaiser) Molitor, he passed away Monday, April 19, 1999, at Sherman Hospital in Elgin. Interment will be private. Ray served in the Army during World War II as a combat infantryman in the European African Middle Theatre where he saw action in the Rhineland and Adrennes Campaigns. He was awarded the Purple Heart in 1945. Ray was a farmer by profession upon his return to civilian life. He will be dearly missed by his family and many special friends. He is survived by his sister, Esther (Vincent) Drendal, and many special nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his three sisters, Bernadine Molitor, Marguerite Collins and Ruth J. Ruth Ott of Lombard

Mrs. Ott was a lifelong resident of Lombard and attended Ardmore School and York High School. She had retired in 1978 from Illinois Bell Telephone after 33 years of service. She was active with the Sacred Heart German Fest, a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, and a former member of the Lombard Seniors and the German Damen Chor in Elmhurst. John Panko, Jr. of Palatine
Services for John Panko, Jr., 62, will begin at 9:30 a. m. Tuesday, at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 Northwest Highway, Palatine, followed by a Divine Liturgy at 10 a. m. ,at Immaculate Conception Ukrainian Catholic Church, 745 Benton St. ,Palatine. Interment will be private. Mr. Panko entered eternal life Saturday morning May 1, 1999, at his home. Born Oct. 1, 1936, in Youngstown, Ohio, to John Sr. and Ann Betts Panko, John Jr. was a 1959 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point where he played baseball and was a member of the Catholic Choir. Upon graduation from West Point, John was commissioned a secondlieutenant to the 82nd Airborne at Fort Bragg, N. C. A retired officer of the United States Army, John spent the past 37 years with DuPont, retiring this April. In his most recent position, John managed Global Sales and Marketing for DuPont Dow Elastomers. He served as parish council president for Immaculate Conception the past seven years. John married the former Joann Marie Miladore on Oct. 1, 1960. Besides his loving wife of 39 years, John leaves his father, John Sr. of Youngstown, Ohio; three sons, John III of Palatine, Michael (Jill) of Palatine and Mark (Diana) ofDallas, Texas; four sisters, Mrs. Ann Stevens of Canfield, Ohio, Mrs. Carole Elias of Austintown, Ohio, Mrs. Peggy Machingo of Boardman, Ohio, and Mrs. Jeanne Kaplan of Chicago; six grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Sarah, Rachel, Isabella and John Peter; seven nieces; and four nephews. A dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother and son, John loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer. He loved coaching baseball and served on the Palatine North Little League Board for many years. A devotee of Jesus, Our Lady of Medjugorje and Padre Pio of Pietrelcina, John's character is exemplified in the following excerpt from his West Point bio: `He was a friend to all, and we who knew him well appreciated the qualities which made us proud to know him. Donald W. Pender of Wheaton

Born in Oak Park, he died Friday, April 30, 1999, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield. Interment will be in Forest Home Cemetery. A 46-year Wheaton resident, he was a 1946 graduate of Proviso Township High School. He served in the Navy for four years just after World War II. He was a member of the Wheaton-Glen Ellyn Elks Club Lodge 2258 from 1969 until the time of his death. Joan K. Roets of Batavia

Born in Belleville, the daughter of Clarence and Gladius (nee Shaw) Kias, she passed away Sunday, April 25, 1999, at her home. Joan was a member of the Batavia Women's Club and its fine arts club. She devoted a great deal of time to volunteer work. On Sept. 24, 1955, she was united in marriage to Francis Walton Roets. Laddie A. Sliva of Waukegan

Formerly a resident of North Chicago, Mr. Sliva had lived in Waukegan for the past 30 years. He retired in 1974 from American Steel and Wire Corporation after 38 years of service. He was a former member of Holy Rosary Church and currently was a member of Queen of Peace Church. Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Ann Sliva (nee Japek); son, Thomas (Patricia) Sliva of Waukegan; daughters, Sandra (Henry) Jasinski of Waukegan and Michaelene Sliva of Grayslake; nine grandchildren; and 16 greatgrandchildren. Services for James W. Weakly, 62, will be held at 10 a. m. Monday, at St. Peter United Church of Christ, 47 Church St., Lake Zurich. Services will also be held at 10 a. m. Wednesday, at Cutler Funeral Home in Council Bluffs, Iowa, with interment to follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery. Born Dec. 13, 1936, in Lincoln, Neb., Mr. Weakly died Thursday, April 29, 1999, in Lake Zurich. He was a 1964 graduate of Creighton University in Omaha, Neb. His pharmaceutical sales career brought him to Lake Zurich in 1986. After retirement, he served as village trustee from 1995 to 1999. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #1089 O. E. S. Chapter #1026 and St. Peter U. C. C. He was the husband of Jan; father of Jennie (Mitchell) Hale of California, and Amy (Troy) Strawn, Mary Jane and Megan, all of Colorado; brother of David (Margaret) of Colorado, Kent (Rachel) of Crystal Lake, Randal of Nebraska, Judith (Melvin) Westlund of Tennessee, Gail (Gene) Lang of Nebraska and Jeanne (Dean) Harrill of Iowa; grandfather of Judson, Dakota, Hunter and Alex; son of Mildred and the late Emanuel; and uncle of 10 nieces and seven nephews. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p. m. today, with Masonic services at 7:45 p. m., at Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Rd., Lake Zurich, and from 9:30 a. m. until the time of the services Monday, at the church. The family of Mr. Weakly would appreciate memorials to Columbine High School in Littleton, Colo.
