Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Community of Christ (Webb) Church near Tunnel Hill, with High Priest Glenn Webb officiating. Burial will be in Webb Cemetery near Tunnel Hill. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion, with the Rev. Richard G. Mohr officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Santa Monica, Calif. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Parker-Reed Funeral Home in West Frankfort. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in West Frankfort. Mayme Drew
MARION -- Mayme L. Drew, 96, of Marion, passed away at 3:50 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2004, in Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. She was born south of Marion on April 5, 1908, the daughter of Roy and Joanna (Hampton) Pritchett. Mayme was married twice during her lifetime, the first being to William 'Bill' Lautz on Nov. 23, 1932, in Marion. Together they shared over 30 years until his death on May 25, 1962. She later married George Drew in Marion on June 8, 1968. Together they shared seven years of marriage until his death on July 8, 1975. Her working career was as a house keeper for many families of the Marion area, and she also assisted them in caring for their children. Mayme's church membership was with Lone Oak Baptist Church of Energy, and she was also a member of the Heyde-Pillow VFW Post No. 1301 Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Kenneth Tanner of Stonefort; a son-in-law, Harold Lake of Huntley; three grandchildren, Susann and husband Mike Groesser, Joann Schulten, and Herbert and wife Gail Schulten; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Altha Crain of Seattle, Wash. ; and her close friends, Gene and Darcus Miller of Marion, along with other extended family members and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; one daughter, Frieda Lake, on April 28, 2001; one granddaughter, Lou Ann Schulten; three sisters, Lillian Galliher, Betty Pritchett and Katherine Patrick; one half-sister, Jessie Taylor; and four brothers, Erskine, Leonard, George and Earl Pritchett. Arrangements for Mayme L. Drew have been entrusted to Wilson-McReynolds Funeral of Marion. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, 2004, at 1:30 p.m. in Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home of Marion, with the Rev. Bill Schell officiating. Interment will follow in Fountain Cemetery, located south of Marion.
