Eleanor H. Storm
Eleanor H. Storm, Algonquin, passed away on March 22, 2005 at Apostolic Christian Resthaven, Elgin, at the age of 85.
Eleanor was born in Chicago, IL, on January 12, 1920. She married
Glenn R. Storm, Sr. on April 6, 1940. They lived on a farm outside Cary, IL until 1951 when they moved to Algonquin. Eleanor worked at Union Special in Huntley, IL for twenty-six years.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband on March 30, 2000.
She is survived by her son, Glenn Richard (Karen) Storm, Jr. of Dundee; daughters, Leanor Popp of Algonquin, and Caroline (James) Verbeck of Huntley. Eleanor is also survived by ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Eleanor resided at Apostolic Christian Resthaven Nursing Home, Elgin, since May 2004. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Algonquin.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 25, 2005 at 11:00 am at St. John Lutheran Church, Algonquin with Pastor William Stroup officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, March 24 from 5-8pm at Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee and on Friday March 25, 2005 from 10:30 am until time of service. Burial will be at the Algonquin cemetery immediately following the service.

Dorothy L. Swanson
Dorothy L. Swanson, age 83, of St. Charles died Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin, Illinois.
She was born February 7, 1922 in Chicago, Illinois to Earl and Maude Johnson.
She is survived by six children, Ron of Elgin, Margaret Underwood of West Monroe, Louisiana, Elmer Jr. of St. Charles, Christine (Dennis) Sommers of Elgin, Betty (Jack) Studt of Genoa and Russell (Lisa) of St. Charles; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; step-son, Thomas (Mary) Swanson of St. Charles and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; her parents; two sons; a brother and a sister.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M., Friday, March 25th at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 East Main Street, (Corner of Rt. 64 and Rt. 25), St. Charles, Illinois. Burial will be at North cemetery, St. Charles, Illinois. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Rodolfo Alcantara
Rodolfo Alcantara, 63, or Elgin passed away Saturday, March 23, 2002 at Sherman Hospital, Elgin.
He was born March 19, 1939 in the Philippines.
He had been a resident of Elgin since 1994. He was employed at the Elgin Mental Health Center as Security Therapy Aid.
Surviving are his wife, Cristina; three children, Elinor Alcantara (Laurito Sarangaya) of Elgin, Raymundo (Evelyn) Alcantara of the Philippines and Joseph Alcantara (Lissette Guevara) of Elgin; four grandchildren; three sisters; and three brothers.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday at 10 AM in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Elgin with Rev. Andrew Hougan officiating. Burial will be private.
Visitation will be held Monday from 4 to 9 PM in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin.
Jesse Diaz
Jesse Diaz, 72, of Elgin passed away Friday, March 22, 2002 at Sherman Hospital, Elgin.
He was born April 23, 1929 in Weslaco, Texas.
He had been a resident of Elgin for the past 48 years. He had been employed by Elgin Industries before retiring. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Elgin.
Surviving are his wife, Mary; three brothers; two sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 1 PM at Laird Funeral Home, Elgin to St. Joseph Catholic Church for Mass at 1:30 PM with Rev. David Huber officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope cemetery.
Visitation will be held Monday from 4 to 9 PM in the funeral home.
Eleanor D. Kane
Eleanor D. Kane, 80 of Bartlett, IL, passed away Friday, March 22, 2002, in Alexian Brothers Medical Center, Elk Grove Village, IL. She was born June 10, 1921 in Chicago, IL and was the daughter of Walter and Sophie (Fahlbusch) Rosenthal. Eleanor was a loving Wife, Mother, and Grandmother, and will be dearly missed by all.
Survivors are three sons: Frank (Ruth) Kane, Jr., of Elgin, Robert Kane of Hampshire, IL, David Kane of Carpentersville, IL, 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, two sisters: Marion Walters and Frances Gale, both of Scottsdale, AZ, and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded by her parents and her husband, Frank Kane, Sr. in 1983.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin. Burial will be in Ridgewood cemetery, Des Plaines, IL. Visitation will be on Monday from 2-8:00 PM in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hanover Twp. Senior Center, Bartlett, IL.
Lois E. Lange
Lois E. Lange, 84, of Elgin passed away Saturday, March 23, 2002 in her home.
She was born March 24, 1917 in Elgin, the daughter of Herman and Dora Goff Reber.
She had been a resident of Elgin all of her life and was a graduate of Elgin High School. She owned Elgin Beverage Co. and served many years as it's President. She was a member of First Congregational Church of Elgin and was philanthropically active in the local area.
Surviving are two children, Barbara Lamp of Manzanillo, Mexico and John S. (Linda) Nelson of Madison, Wis; a step daughter, Judy (Dan) Koehler of Rockford, IL; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Lois (Jim) Mollitor of Marengo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Virginia Westwood; and a brother, William Reber.
Private Services will be held at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Jayne Shover Rehabilitation Easter Seal Center, Elgin. Laird Funeral Home, Elgin is in charge of arrangements.
Merry Elizabeth Morello (Fishburn)
Merry Elizabeth (Fishburn) Morello, 57, died at her home in Pleasantville, NY on March 6, 2002 following a courageous battle with cancer.
Merry was born in Elgin, IL on December 17, 1944, the daughter of William and Vada Fishburn.
She attended Elgin schools and graduated from Elgin High School. After graduation from the University of Colorado at Boulder, she moved to Washington, D.C. She remained in the east and lived for many years in Chappaqua, NY.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by three daughters, Amy (Patrick) Leahy of Ithica, NY, Elise (Joe) Vinci of Columbine, CO and Kate Morello of Columbine, CO; her three beautiful granddaughters, Grace and Molly Leahy and Sofia Vinci; by her fiance, Sal Amram; her sister, Janice (Clifford) Stoner of Hayward, WI; her brother, Bill (Judy) Fishburn of Elgin, IL; several nieces and nephews; and by many friends.
A Memorial Service was held March 9, 2002 at the Presbyterian Church of Mount Kisco.

Mary L. Olson, 82, of South Elgin passed away Thursday, March 21, 2002 in her home.
She was born July 29, 1919 in Anna, Illinois, the daughter of Willie and Elsie Barringer Theis.
She had been a resident of the Elgin and South Elgin area since 1965. She was employed by the Elgin Mental Health Center as a Licensed Practical Nurse before retiring. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Elgin and the L.P.N. Association at the Elgin Mental Health Center.
Surviving are three daughters, Carole (Lyle) Anderson of Duluth, Minn, Linda (Ronal) Jackson of South Elgin and Jennie (Tom) Tillman of Woodstock, Ill; two sons, Ronald Olson of Spring Grove, Ill and Paul (Judy) Olson of Vienna, Ill; 14 grandchildren, Ronal (Jean) Jackson Jr, Randy (Peggy) Jackson, Brian Anderson, Lisa (Eric) Norland, Laura (Mike) Blake, Diane Kokon, Tracy (Mohammed) Ben Rhouma, Erika (Eric) Loch, Thomas Tillman III (Kyra), Terry, Travis, Troy, Trevor and Tiffany Tillman; 15 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; six brothers, Otto (Bonnie) Theis of Millstadt, Ill, Gilbert (Mary) Theis of Vienna, Ill, Howard (Jean) Theis of Ullin, Ill, Charlie (Carolyn) Theis of Millstadt, Ill, Raymond (Georgene) Theis of Anna, Ill and Norman (Judy) Theis of Balcom, Ill; and three sisters, Wilhelmina (Lloyd) Menees of Millstadt, Ill, Emma (Lowell) Richardson of Millstadt, Ill and Marie Cupp of Elizabeth City, NC.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond Olson; step mother, Molly Theis; two sisters, Elsie (Bud) Davis and Lena Rosena Theis; three brothers, Edwin, Carl and Alvin Theis; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Cliff Olson, Ollie Olson, Susan Olson, Russell Olson, Joan Theis and Opal Theis; and daughters-in-law, Pam and Pat Olson.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 2 PM at Laird Funeral Home, Elgin with Rev. Steve Kottke officiating. Burial will be private.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5 to 9 PM in the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association.

Gene Wishe, 72, of Carpentersville died Friday, March 22, 2002.
He is survived by a son, Joe Wyszynski; two daughters, Alona (Arthur) Klinicki and Jan Schmidt; a brother, Arthur (Helen) Wyszynski; two sisters, Adeline (Joseph) Bradtke and Irene Sochacki; grandfather of six; great grandfather of six.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly; and a grandson, Nicholas.
Funeral Services Wednesday at 10:30 AM at Community Funeral Home located on Rt. 25, between Rts. 72 and 68, East Dundee. Burial Memory Gardens cemetery.

Melba M. Elliott
Melba M. Elliott, 82, of Elgin, IL died Tuesday, March 25, at Sherman West Court, Elgin. She was born May 11, 1920 in Burlington, IL to August and Marie (VanDusen) Petersen.
Before she retired she was employed at Elgin Watch Co. and Brody Coat for many years and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Elgin.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Richard) Campbell of Plato Center, IL; her grandchildren, Jenna (Todd) Coss of Crystal Lake, Adrienne Campbell of Elburn, Ryan and Scott Campbell of Plato Center, IL, her great- grandchildren, Cheyenne Coss, Sabrina Finlinson and Tanna Coss and Emily Finlinson.
preceded in death by her parents and her husband Alvin Elliott.
