Geraldine M. Heath, 67, of Champaign, IL passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2003 at Provena Covenant Hospital in Urbana, IL. She was born January 2, 1936 in Elgin, IL, the daughter of Russell and Bertha Bird. On May 7, 1956, she married
Leo B. Heath, Jr. in Glen Ellyn, IL. She was a housewife and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Champaign.
She is survived by her husband, Leo Heath, her son, Leo B. Heath III of Champaign, IL, her daughters, Catherine Ratts of Dixon, IL and Millie Kostro of Champaign, IL, and one grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Graveside services will be Thursday, March 27, 2003 at 1 p.m. at Grandview Memorial Gardens with Rev. Mark Elliott officiating. Interment at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be directed to an organization of the donor's choice.

Colleen L. Lester
Colleen L. Lester, 25, of Elgin passed away Tuesday in Provena St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin. She was born July 27, 1977 in Elgin and was the daughter of Gary and Norine (Brown) Lester. Colleen graduated from Larkin High School in 1995, and attended Elgin Community College and Western Illinois University. She was a very talented artist and athlete, and will be sadly missed by all.
Survivors include her mother, Norine Lester of Elgin, her father, Gary Lester of Elgin, her brother, Kevin (Kristen) Lester, her sister, Janet (John) Vandermeer, her special friend, Cheryl Edwards, her grandparents, Lucille (Victor) Rosales and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Lair Funeral Home, Elgin with Rev. Ron Purser officiating. Burial will be in Bluff City cemetery, Elgin. Visitation will be on Friday from 4-8 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Anderson Animal Shelter or a charity of one's choice.
Percy Powell
Percy Powell, 59, of South Elgin passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2003 in Kindred Hospital, Northlake. He was born March 24, 1944 in Earle, AR, the son of Johnnie and Paralee Parks Powell. He had been a resident of the Elgin area since 1965. He was the owner of Powell Dry Wall.
Surviving are six children: Nichelle (Chief Master Sgt. Terry) Gafford stationed in Okinawa, Japan, Percy Powell Jr. of South Elgin, Kevin Powell of DeKalb, Ieisha Dugar of Crystal Lake, Steven Skeate of Elgin, Demitirus Smith of Elgin, 11 grandchildren, two sisters, Johnnie Hare of South Elgin and Rose Williamson of Atlanta, GA, two brothers, Sammie Powell of Atlanta, GA and Robert Powell of Earle, AR.
Visitation will be held Friday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin. Burial will be in New Hope Church cemetery, Earle, AR.
Melvin Raymond "Salty" Salkeld
Melvin Raymond "Salty" Salkeld, 74, of Louisville, KY, formerly of Elgin, IL, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2003 in Parkway Medical Center in Louisville, KY.
He was born August 2, 1928 in New Albany, IN.
He was a graduate of Male High School and an Alumni of University of Louisville, was a veteran of the U.S. Army, 101st Airborn Division, Past President of Kiwanis and a member of Toastmasters International.
Survivors include his wife, Mae (Hawkins) Salkeld; three sons, Melvin (Judy) Salkeld Jr, Mike (Delane) Salkeld and Tim Salkeld; a daughter, Marie (Ron) Ziegler; four grandchildren, Chris, Nick, Samantha and Zach; a sister, Nancy Brumley; six nieces; and four nephews.
Funeral Services will at 10 AM Friday, March 28, 2003 in the Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 to 9 PM Thursday in the funeral home.
Robert Lee Wulff
Robert Lee Wulff, 70, passed away March 26, 2003 in Glendale Heights, IL. He was born February 15, 1933 to the late Herman and Bessie Wulff nee Wells. He loved to golf, car shows and he was loved by friends and family.
He is survived by his children, Mary Beth (Joseph) Shibona of Bartlett and Mike (Sandra) of Bartlett, grandchildren Andrew (Jennie) Trocchio, Aaron Tappan, Ryan Wulff, Alex Shibona, Amanda Wulff.

Henry "Hank" A. Richardson III
Henry "Hank" A. Richardson III, age 57, of Elgin, died Sunday, March 24, 2002 at his home in Elgin following a long battle with lung cancer. Born March 29, 1944 in Phoenix, AZ to Henry A. and Dorothy Alta (Thomas) Richardson, Jr.
He was a truck driver for Casco Industries in South Elgin. He was a very active volunteer for Easter Seals Jayne Shover Center in Elgin. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose-Elgin Lodge #799.
He is survived by his wife, Judith (Kawa) Richardson, whom he married
on August 16, 1963; his son, David A. (Julie) Richardson of Elgin; two daughters, Beth A. (Dave) Wickstrom of Cortland, IL and Patricia L. Richardson of Elgin; a brother, John Richardson of North Dakota; his grandchildren, Jacquelynn and Joseph "Joey" Richardson of Elgin, Matthew Mish of Cortland, IL and Steven and Jennifer Styburski of Cortland, IL, Ben, Cory and Jason Murphy of Elgin, and Tesa, Michael and Dean Wickstrom of Cortland, IL; his aunt, Alta Wisbar of Elgin; his father and mother-in-law, George and Betty Kawa of Elgin; sisters-in-law, Luella Kawa of DeKalb, IL and Barbara Richardson of Elgin; also his niece and nephew, Joanna and Jason Richardson of Elgin, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Joan Richardson in 1999; his brother, Bruce A. Richardson in 1995 and his brother-in-law, Gregory Kawa in 1990.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 29, 2002 at 12 Noon at the Wait Ross Allanson Elgin Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Martha Nelson of Hosana Lutheran Church in St. Charles officiating. Miriam L. Walsh
Miriam L. Walsh, 81, of Crystal Lake, died on Friday, March 22, 2002 at Crystal Pines Nursing Home in Crystal Lake. She was born on May 10, 1920 in Rock Island, IL to Lester and Lillian (Bivens) Starner. On May 3, 1968 she married
her second husband, Donald W. Walsh, who passed away on December 5, 1991. In November of 2000 her first husband, Harold DeFraties passed away. Miriam enjoyed camping, water aerobics, walking and square dancing. She was an avid reader and belonged to the womens lodge as a young woman.
She is survived by three children, Joyce (Larry) Ames of CA, Joan (Donald) Chinlund of Cary and Jeffrey DeFraties of Lisle, IL; three step-children, Carol Humbracht of IN, Doug (Nola) Walsh of St. Charles and David (Jan) Walsh of Illinois; 17 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Vernon Starner of Missouri and Roger (Margaret) Starner of Miami, FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first and second husbands, and two sisters.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2002 at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Arn Schaper will officiate. Interment if private. Terry Ronald Harrell
Terry Ronald Harrell, 47, of Carterville, IL, formerly of Elgin, IL died Wednesday, March 26, 2003 at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale, IL.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 29, 2003 at Kernodle Funeral Home in Wynne, Arkansas with the Rev. Ralph Leonard officiating. Burial will be at Harris Chapel cemetery in Wynne. Friends may call Friday evening at the funeral home.
Terry was born January 15, 1956 in Wynne, AR to Billy Jack and Ina Mae (Price) Harrell.
He owned and operated Heartland Drain Company in Carterville. He was an avid deer hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed going boating.
He is survived by his son, Terry Jason Harrell of Batavia; a daughter, Stacie Ellen Harrell of Batavia; a sister, Melissa Dee Milowski of Carterville; four brothers, Steve and Scott Harrell both of Elgin, Roger and Jeff Harrell both of Carterville; his wife, Pam Callahan of Batavia; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Mike Harrell; and a niece, Mariah Milowski.

Eva Elaine Hennesy
Eva Elaine Hennesy, 81 of Elgin, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2003 at Heritage Manor, Elgin. She was born January 23, 1922 in Cadott, Wisconsin the daughter of Ernest and Martha Witt Troupe. She had been a resident of Elgin for over 50 years.
Surviving are her son, Ronald W. (Peggy) Geske of Woodland Park, Co.; daughter, Margaret Bradshaw of Gurnee, Ill.; three grandchildren, Katrina Schroeder of Elgin, Elizabeth Geske of Woodland Park and Michelle Payne of Colorado Springs; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Everett Hennesy; daughter, Carol Geske; brother, Leo Troupe; and sister, Eunice Thom.
Private funeral services were held at Laird Funeral Home, Elgin. Burial was private in Bluff City cemetery, Elgin. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
Shirley A. Wasner
Shirley A. Wasner, 73, of Elgin passed away Friday, March 28, 2003 in Hertiage Manor, Elgin. She was born May 31, 1929 in Owatonna, Minnesota the daughter of Frank and Hattie (Johnson) Bedney.
She did volunteer work in the Elgin area for the past four years.
She is survived by a sister, Phyllis Miller of South Elgin and a brother, Dave Bedney of Lake City, MN., and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Aaron Wasner and a brother LaVerne Wasner.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, March 31, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin. Private burial will be in Mt. Hope cemetery.
Margaret J. Dwiel
Margaret J. Dwiel (nee Kalman), 81, of Wheeling passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2001 in the Rosewood Care Center, Elgin.
Survivors include her two children, Marti (Jack) Moorman of Elgin andRichard (Kathlene) Dwiel of Palatine; four grandchildren, Christopher and Beverly Shadel, formerly of Elgin and Brianna and Brandon Dwiel of Palatine; a great-grandson, John Shadel of Wheeling; and a brother, William (Joyce) Kalman.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, a sister and many brothers.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Monday in the Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 S. Milwaukee Ave. (2 blocks S. of Dundee Rd.), Wheeling. Interment will be in Randhill Park cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-8 p.m., Sunday in the funeral home.
