Marjorie Belongia
Marjorie Belongia, 83, formerly of Elgin, IL passed away April 3, 2004 in Pike Peak Hospice, Colorado Springs, CO.
Mrs. Belongia was born December 3, 1920 in Janesville, IL. She was the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. C.H. Harwood. She lived in Charleston, IL before moving to Elgin, IL. She lived most of her life in Elgin and worked for Illinois Bell Telephone Co. as a telephone operator. After 30 years of service, she retired and moved to Colorado.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Firmstone of Colorado Springs, CO; her sister, Mary Armer of Clearwater, FL.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Belongia; her sister, Evelyn Fearn; her brother, Hugh Harwood.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 7 at Mountain View Mortuary, 2350 Montebello Square Dr., Colorado Springs, CO 80918. Visitation is April 6, 2004 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Donations may be made in her memory to Pikes Peak Hospice or Leukemia Foundation of Colorado Springs.

Mary Ciaccio, 100, of Elgin, passed away April 1, 2004 in Provena St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin. She was born on April 16, 1903 in Italy and was the daughter of Sam and Frances Sorce.
She attended St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
She is survived by seven children, John Ciaccio of Port St. Lucie, FL, Sam (Marilyn) Ciaccio of Elgin, IL, Frank (Harriet) Ciaccio of Elgin, IL, Joseph (Marietta) Ciaccio of Tuscon, AZ, JoAnne (James) Jochum of Elgin, IL, James (Patti) Ciaccio of Myrtle Beach, SC, Richard (Doris) Ciaccio of Little Rock, AR; 27 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Carm Levey of Los Angeles, CA; one brother, Sam (Frances) Sorce of Sarasota, FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sam in 1982; one son, Peter John Ciaccio in 1977; one grandson, Mark Ciaccio in 1977; a daughter-in-law, Florence Ciaccio in 2003; one brother and two sisters.
Funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Thomas More Catholic Church of Elgin, with Rev. Andrew Hougan officiating. Burial will be in Bluff City cemetery, Elgin. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3-7:00 p.m. in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin and on Monday in the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Memorials may be made to the St. Thomas More Building Fund or a charity of one's choice.

Paul W. Rauschert, Jr.
Paul W. Rauschert, Jr., age 74, of Cary, IL, passed away Sunday, April 4, 2004 at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington. He was born April 9, 1929 in Elgin, IL to Paul W. and Etta (Thoms) Rauschert.
He was a graduate of Dundee High School and St. Joseph College in Kansas. Survivors include two sisters, Joan M. (Roger) Copel of Algonquin and Maryette McLaren of Roanoke, VA; two nieces and three nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
According to his wishes, his remains will be returned to the earth of the Black Canyon at Gunnison, CO. There will be no visitation or services. Janice Wesemann (Tucker)
Janice Wesemann (Tucker), age 66, of Elgin passed away Saturday, April 3, 2004 in her home. She was born February 18, 1938 in Belle Plaine, IA to Daniel and Louise (Behounek) Upah.
Survivors include a daughter, Cynthia Wesemann (Laurence Bailey) of Hanover Park; and her mother of Elgin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth L. Tucker on March 22, 2004 and by her father.
Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 11, 2004 at Wait-Ross-Allanson Funeral and Cremation Services Chapel, 51 Center St., Elgin. Rev. Ralph McFaddin officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will be private.
George D. Elliott, Sr.
George D. Elliott, Sr., 69, of Elgin died Friday, April 4, 2003 at Sherman Hospital in Elgin.
He was born February 13, 1934 in East Dundee to Dallis and Anna (nee Schumacher) Elliott.
He was a member of the John Birch Society. He owned and operated Elliott Plumbing in Elgin for 32 years. He was an avid Bears Fan and loved to spend time cooking and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; children, George (Donna) Elliott Jr. of El Dorado Springs, MO, Kathy (Bill) Werres of St. Charles, John (Linda) Elliott and Paul (Betty) Elliott both of Elgin and Michael (Nancy) Elliott of Sandwich; step daughters, Crystal Dowty of McHenry, Darlene (Kenneth) Zumbek of Lake in the Hills and Brenda (Raymond) Hamacek of Marengo; and 19 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial Funeral Services will be in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee on Monday, April 7, 2003 at 11 AM. Visitation will be from 10 AM until time of service on Monday. Burial will be private.

Charles Edmund Meier
Charles Edmund Meier, 74, of Chatham, IL since 1993, formerly of Elgin died Saturday, April 5, 2003 at his residence. He was born July 18, 1928 in Elgin, IL, the son of Edmund and Clara Tienker Meier. He married
Phyllis L. Stevens on February 3, 1951.
Mr. Meier served his country during the Korean War in the Army Air Corps. He was a member of the VFW Post #4763 in Chatham. He served his community as a fire fighter on the Elgin Fire Department for 24 years, retiring in 1982.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife: Phyllis Meier of Chatham, three sons: Robert C. (wife Kathleen) Meier of Elgin, Richard Paul (wife Kathleen) Meier of McHenry, Karl Edmund (wife Lisa Marie) Meier of Fox Lake, IL and six grandchildren.
Private family services were held. Burial will be in Dundee Township cemetery East. Memorials to Elgin Fire Department Museum Station 5.

Rose M. Morton
Rose M. Morton, 81, of Elgin passed away Friday in Sherman Hospital, Elgin. She was born February 19, 1922 in Roselle, IL and was the daughter of Conrad and Marie (Gerber) Rechsteiner. Rose had worked at the Elgin National Watch Factory and Shedds/Bartush Lipton Foods for many years prior to her retirement. She will be fondly remembered for her baking, and always brought a smile to your face with a "Yodel." Member of the Teamsters Union Local #330. Member of the Swiss Club.
Survivors include three children, Darlene Erboe, Dennis Schultz and Bonnie Frederickson, six grandchildren, Teresa, Brian (Rebecca) and Rick Erboe; Jacob and Heather Schultz and Chad Frederickson, three great grandchildren, Cory, Tami and Kaitlin; her sister, Alice Stading of Florida.
Preceded by her parents, her husband Isom "Ike" Morton in 1983, one grandson, Mark Erboe and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin with Rev. Richard Sanders officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. in the funeral home. Omission of flowers is requested, with memorials made to the family.
Carl Richard Runge
Carl Richard Runge, age 73, of Sugar Grove, IL, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2003 at the Loyola Medical Center in Maywood, IL. He was born on August 1, 1929 in Elgin, IL, the son of Carl Christian and Ruth (Rosenthal) Runge.
Carl was united in marriage on July 18, 1953 in Elgin, IL to the former Helen Johnson, and they have spent the next 50 happy years of their lives together. Mr. Runge was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Plano, IL.
Carl was an electrician for 37 years until his retirement. He had also farmed in this area throughout his entire life.
Carl served his country and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. His love of flying continued throughout his life and he was still proud to possess his pilot's license. Carl was a member of the IBEW Local #461, the Kendall County Farm Bureau, the Missouri Cattleman's Association, and the Sugar Grove American Legion Post #1271. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Carl especially enjoyed the many happy times spent with his grandson, Alexander John.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Runge of Sugar Grove, his mother, Ruth J. Runge of Clinton, WI, his son, Erick (Michele) Runge of Sugar Grove, his grandson, Alexander John Runge of Sugar Grove, three sisters, Diane Koch of Washington, IL, Judith (Herman) Krunfus of Cherry Valley, IL, Linda (Jerry) Studt of Edgerton, WI, his sister-in-law, Mary Runge of Elgin, IL, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Carl was preceded in death by his father, Carl C. Runge, and his brother, John Runge.
Funeral services for Carl Runge will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2003 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 E. Countryside Parkway, Yorkville, IL with the Reverend James Reents officiating.
Interment will follow at the Jericho cemetery in Sugar Grove, IL.

Charles F. Imbrogno, Jr., 70, of Elgin passed away on April 5, 2004 in Sycamore. He was born on September 9, 1933 in Chicago, the son of Charles and Christine (Parr) Imbrogno
He was a participating member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Elgin. He was also an active union leader of Local 246 in Fresno, CA. He also enjoyed being a pilot.
He is survived by three children, Petrina Imbrogno of Bartlett, Toni (Nick) Kerene of St. Charles, and Dennis (Paula) Springer of CA; a son-in-law, Miro Skrodzki of Algonquin; ten grandchildren; and a sister, Therese Garcia of AZ.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Linda in 1987; one daughter, Etheena "Tina" Skrodzki.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park St. The funeral will be in Fresno, CA with burial at Belmont Memorial cemetery, also in Fresno, CA.

Lorraine Nordbrock
Lorraine Nordbrock, 83, of the Hanover Park area, passed away Monday in the Rockford Memorial Hospital, Rockford, IL. She was born on March 22, 1921 in Chicago, IL and was the daughter of Oscar and Sima Teale.
Survivors include one son, Phillip Nordbrock of Machensney Park, IL; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, August Nordbrock in 1993; two children, Charles Nordbrock in 1990, Suzanne Bale in 1997; her son-in-law, Joe Bale in 1997.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the River Valley Memorial Gardens, West Dundee. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to the family. Laird Funeral Homes, West Dundee and Elgin are in charge of arrangements.
