Darrell Rambo, Age 72, resident of 23 years in Hanover Park, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2004 in West Chicago, IL. He was born June 20, 1931 in Sharon, Tennessee.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia; children, Sharon (Bryon) Singer, Belinda (David) Chapman, David (Jennifer) Rambo, Donna White, Laurie Locke, Michelle (Ron) Toth & Melissa Locke; grandchildren, Sean & Brendan Chapman, Victoria Singer, Ethan & Devin Toth & Dylan Rambo; siblings, Becky Rizzo, Jean (Harry) Dimpfl and Carolyn (Wally) Donat.
Funeral services will be at 10AM on Wednesday April 14, 2004 at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 330 W. Golf Road, Schaumburg, IL. Burial will be at Memory Gardens cemetery, Arlington Heights, IL. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 13, 2004 from 3:00PM to 8:00PM at funeral home.

Evelyn Schultz
Evelyn Schultz, 93, of Elgin passed away Sunday April 11, 2004 in the Heritage Manor, Elgin. She was born on May 28, 1910 in Gilberts, IL and was the daughter of Paul and Mary Kupitz Schultz. Evelyn had worked at D.C. Cook Publishing. Douglas Aircraft as "Rosie the Riveter", Toastmaster, and Motorola for many years prior to her retirement.
Member of the God Shepherd Lutheran Church of Elgin.
Survivors include - many nieces and nephews.

Susan C. Wiemer (Nee Yarde)
Susan C. Wiemer (Nee Yarde), 41, of Algonquin, passed away Saturday April 10, 2004 suddenly in Algonquin. She was born on August 10, 1962 in Monmouth, IL and was the daughter of Robert and Marilyn (Blick) Yarde. She graduated from Bradley University, Peoria, IL. and received a BS in Accounting. Susan had worked as an Accountant in the Chicagoland area for 20 years.
She was a very active Member of the Messiah Lutheran Church of Elgin.
Survived by - Her Parents of Monmouth, IL; Her loving Husband - Robert Wiemer of Algonquin; 1 - Sister - Lynn Yarde of Woodridge, IL; 1 - Brother - Craig (Kelly) Yarde of Galesburg, IL; 1 - Niece and 1 - Nephew.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:30 A.M. in the Messiah Lutheran Church, Elgin, with Rev. Patty Hewitt officiating. Burial will be in Fair View cemetery, Dekalb, IL. Visitation will be held on Wednesday in the Laird Funeral Home. 120 S. Third St., West Dundee, IL., 60118 from 5-8:00 P.M. and on Thursday in the church from 10:30 A.M. until the time of services. William P. Crawford
William P. Crawford, 72, of Elgin, passed away on April 12, 2005 at St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin. He was born January 18, 1933 in New Hope, IL, and was the son of William and Mary Alvey.
He is survived by his wife, Judith of 46 years; four daughters, Ann (Michael) Guetsechow of Sleepy Hollow, Susan (Dennis) Speakes of S. Elgin, Jennifer Crawford of Carpentersville, and Pamela (Joseph) Zarcone of Bartlett; seven grandchildren, Erin (Brian) Ziegenbein of KS, Emily and Jacob Speakes, Grant and Grace Guetsechow, Jessica and Joseph Zarcone; two sisters, Geraldine English of Harrisburg, IL and Verla Ranstrom of Elgin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his adoptive parents, Presley and Mimie Crawford; a grandchild, Dennis Speakes, in infancy; and two brothers, Haskell Alvey and Eugene Crawford.
Funeral Services will be on Friday, April 15, 2005 at 10:00 AM at Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park St., Elgin. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4 until 8 PM at the funeral home. Memorials to the American Heart Association.

Frances L. St. George, 62, of Hampshire, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2005 in her home. She was born April 21, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of Fred and Ethel (Wise) Howard.
She attended St. Charles Barromeo Catholic Church in Hampshire.
Survivors include her husband, Charles whom she married
on June 3, 1961; three daughters, Stephanie (Tom) Munsch, Kathryn St. George and Jennifer Blodgett; three grandchildren, Gabriel Brown, Madison Blodgett, Haily Munsch.

Donald A. Grams
Donald A. Grams, 89, of South Range, WI died Monday, April 11, 2005 at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth. Donald was born on October 25, 1915 in Dundee, IL to Anna (Schmidt) and Henry Grams.
Donald was a Navy veteran and a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, U.T.C., Teamsters and was also a member of Peace United Church of Christ in Duluth.
Donald is survived by his wife, Louise; a daughter, Floanne (Paul) Neumann of Cedar, MN; two step daughters, Jeannette (Dale) Olson of Duluth and Roberta Chellew of Superior; sister, Verna Egland of Wisconsin Dells; brother-in-law, Jim Korhonen of Wright, MN; sister-in-law, Marie (Lawrence) Newton of Wright, MN; grandchildren; great grandchildren; and his cat, Kitty-Kitty. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Margaret; a son, Dennis; two step sons, Mark and Dale Chellew; and a sister, Vera Sweet.
A Funeral service will be held on Thursday at The Downs Funeral Home, corner of 19th and Ogden at 2 PM, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Kathryn Nelson of Peace United Church of Christ will officiate the service. Committal prayers will immediately follow at the Poplar cemetery. Military Honors will be accorded at the cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Dietzsch, Tom McCallum, Scott Neumann, Robert Chellew, Dale Olson and Paul Neumann.
Franklin H. Hupe
Franklin H. Hupe, 72, of St. Charles, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2005 in Delnor Community Hospital, Geneva, IL. He was born on March 26, 1933 in Algonquin, IL. Frank was a Veteran and served in the US Army. He was the Owner and Operator of the Hupe and Sons Construction Co., building many bridges in the area, for 30 years prior to his retirement.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Mitzel-Hupe of St. Charles, IL; four children, Shauna (William) Kohler of Chicago, IL, Sheila Schwartz of Colorado, David Hupe of Nevada, Jennifer Edler of Naperville, IL; step-son, Michael (Jana) Mitzel of West Brooklyn, IL; his daughter-in-law, Anna Castoro Hupe of Algonquin, IL; his brother, Robert Hupe of Nevada; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his previous wife, Barbara Hupe; his parents, Walter and Hermina Hupe; his son, Daniel Hupe in 2002; his daughter, Tamara Mitzel Smith; his sister, Rosemarie Bauer.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin. Burial will follow in Prairie cemetery, St. Charles, IL. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
Harold F. "Hal" Thurnau
Harold F. "Hal" Thurnau, 94, Bickford Cottage, Macomb, formerly of Boca Raton, FL, died April 3, 2005 in McDonough District Hospital, Macomb, IL. He was born September 18, 1910 in Elgin, IL to William and Martha Dierker Thurnau. He married
Margaret "Polly" Gray in 1933; she died in 1965. He married
Frances Spinker in 1966; she died in 2004.
He is survived by his daughter, Sally (David) Egler of Macomb; his son, Thomas (Barbara) of Elgin; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Hal spent much of his life in the Elgin area as a club and restaurant manager. He worked for many years as the manager of the Elgin Elks Club, then managed the food service and restaurants at the Baker Hotel in St. Charles. He took over his own restaurant in Dundee, the former Swiss Chalet, now the Village Squire.
In Elgin, Hal was President of the Elgin Civic Association and attained the chair of Grand Exalted Ruler of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.
He moved to Boca Raton, Florida in 1976 where he managed condominiums and apartment complexes until his retirement at age 80. He was President of the Boca Managers Association. In 2003, he moved to Macomb.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Laird Funeral Home in Elgin with burial in Lake Street Memorial Park. Cremation Rites have been accorded. Memorials may be made to Fox Valley Hospice.
Maurice M. Umbdenstock
Maurice M. Umbdenstock, age 87 of Bartlett. Loving husband of Marion, nee Schramer. Caring dad of Linda (Fred Dunn) Umbdenstock, Maurice J. (Opal), Don (Debbie), Ron (Sue), Randy (Nancy) and Sandy (Bob) Marinier. Cherished grandpa of ten and great-grandpa of two. Brother of Bertha Gorenz. Many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Maurice was a professed member of the Secular Franciscan Order for over 40 years. He was a medic in the Army during WWII in the Pacific Theater. Active parishioner at St. Isidore Catholic Church for 20 years and worked with their PADS projects. He helped serve in the soup kitchen in the Franciscan Outreach Program. He loved his family, farming and nature. Memorials may be made to Franciscan Outreach Association for the Homeless, St. Isidore Catholic Church "We Care" program or the St. Bernadine's Mission Fund. Clifford J. Thiel
Clifford J. Thiel, 96, formerly of Elgin, died April 12, 2001 in Zephrhills, FL.
He owned and operated Thiel's Drug Store.
Survivors include his wife, Geneva (Sally) Thiel; sons, Phillip and Robert Thiel; 7 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; and brother, Dr. Charles W. Thiel.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Dr. Bernard J. Thiel.
Edgar E. Ruiz
Edgar E. Ruiz, 42, of Elgin died Wednesday, April 11, 2001 in an auto accident on Route 20, Elgin.
He was born Dec. 26, 1958 in Guatemala, the son of Juan and Roselia (nee Enamorado) Ruiz.
He was a machine operator for Sunstar Pharmaceutical and a member of Templo Calvario Church, Elgin.
Survivors include his mother; two sons, Edgar Orlando Ruiz of Iowa and Renato Ruiz of California; a daughter, LeydaLeonardo of California; his brother, Juan (Zoila) Ruiz of California; his sister,Miriam (Rafael) Hernandez of Elgin; two grandchildren; and his very special friend, Joyce Levine of Itasca.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be 12 noon,Monday, April 16, 2001 in the Wait Ross Allanson Elgin Chapel, 51 Center St.,Elgin, the Rev. Margaret Alarcon of Templo Calvario officiating. Burial will be in Bluff City cemetery.
Visitation will be 9 a.m., Monday until the time of services in the funeral home.
Mary Balch Krambeer
Mary Balch Krambeer, 77, of Elgin passed away Friday, April 12, 2002 at Sherman Hospital, Elgin after a long battle with cancer. She was born August 2, 1924 in Elgin, the daughter of A. Earl and Winna Louise Newman Coleman. She had been a resident of Elgin all of her life and was a graduate of Elgin High School. A former buyer for Joseph Spiess Co., she along with her husband were owners of Pied Piper Tobacco Shop until retiring in 1979.
She was an active member of First United Methodist Church of Elgin. She belonged to the Every Wednesday Literary Club, The Elgin Junior Service Board, The Elgin Area Historical Society and was a volunteer for the United Way of Elgin.
Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Arthur L. Krambeer; children, Nancy (Ronald) Martin of Elgin, Mary Lou (Stephen Huntington) of Bethlehem, NH, James (Janet) Krambeer of Elgin and Carol (Patrick) Gieske of Elgin; grandchildren, Andrew, Edward and Brian Martin, Daniel and Eliza Huntington, William and John Gieske and Coleman Krambeer; a brother, Tom (Mary) Coleman of Sylvania, OH; also many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, April 16, 2002 at 11:00 A.M. at Laird Funeral Home, Elgin with Dr. Larry D. Pickens officiating. Burial will be in Bluff City cemetery, Elgin.
