Imogene L. Thompson
Imogene L. Thompson, 80, of South Elgin, formerly of Hampshire, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2001 at Sherman Hospital in Elgin.
She was born June 26, 1920 in Ava, Illinois, the daughter of John and Agnes (Dietz) Doetch.
Imogene married John A. Thompson on December 3, 1938 in Ava. They moved to Hampshire in 1943 where they farmed until 1978. Mrs. Thompson retired from Motorola and had also worked at Automatic Electric in Genoa. She was a member of the Twin Oaks Baptist Church in Elgin.
Surviving are six children, David (Gloria) Thompson of Casa Grande, AZ, Ted (Carolyn) Thompson of Chester, SC, Marjorie (Wendell) Schiesher of Dexter, MN, Daniel (Ann) Thompson of Austin, TX, Roy (Katie) Thompson of Hampshire, and Norman (Kate) Thompson of Elgin; 22 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; six sisters; and two brothers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John in 1990; four infant sons, and three brothers.
Memorial Services will be held at 5 PM Thursday, April 19, at the Twin Oaks Baptist Church on Randall Rd, Elgin with the Rev. Roy Hazelrig officiating.
There will be no visitation.
Burial will be in Pleasant Hill cemetery in Ava, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be directed to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
Fredrick Funeral Home of Hampshire is in charge of arrangements.

Jeffrey J. Weides
Jeffrey J. Weides, 38, of Elgin died Saturday, April 14, 2001 in Elgin.
He was born July 18, 1962 in Springfield, IL.
He had been a resident of Elgin most of his life. He was the bar Manager for J. B.'s Pub in Elgin.
Surviving are a daughter, Delaney Weides of Elgin; a son, Keegan Weides of Elgin; the children's mother, Patty Jones of Elgin; his mother, Susanna Orr of Elgin; his father and step mother, Robert (Sharon) Weides of Bartlett, IL; two sisters, Cyndie (Roy) Eichinger of Roselle, IL and Sue (Bob) Dahl of Hoffman Estates, IL; a brother, Joe (Lisa) Miles of Des Plaines, IL; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 11:30 AM in the Laird Funeral Home in Elgin with Rev. Thomas Severson officiating. Burial will be private.
Friends may call in the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 9 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to a trust fund for the children at Elgin Financial Center, 1695 Larkin Ave, Elgin, IL, 60123.

Doris F. Bailey (nee Furlow)
Doris F. Bailey (nee Furlow), 69, of Streamwood died Saturday, April 14, 2001 at Alexian Brothers Medical Center, Elk Grove Village, IL.
He was born May 12, 1931, the son of the late John W. and Margaret Furlow.
Survivors include her beloved husband, Robert S. Bailey; loving mother of Betty (Joel) Goldentyer of Raleigh, NC, Bob (Linda) Bailey of Olympia Fields and Barbara (Peter) Jongbloed of Madison, CT; dear grandmother of seven; sister of Jane Tallon of Mount Laurel, NJ and Dr. John Furlow of Lancaster, OH.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, April 17, 2001 at 8 PM in the Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral Home, 485 S. Bartlett Road, Streamwood. Cremation will be private.
Memorial visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday.

Franklin E. Crisp, Sr.
Franklin E. Crisp, Sr., 54, of Carpentersville died Friday, April 12, 2002 at his home.
He was born in Chicago on July 28, 1947, the son of Clayton F. and Margaret Crisp.
He was a 30 year resident of the Carpentersville area. He was a machinist by trade, and a United States Army veteran having served with the 101st Airborne Division. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of West Dundee.
He is survived by three children, Jennifer (Kevin) Marlewski of Huntley, Franklin E. Jr (Nikki) of Carpentersville and Jason (Melissa) of Elkhart, IN; nine grandchildren, Ryan, Lindsay, Alyssa, Bubba, Lauren, Frankie, Jordan, Hunter and Tanner; a brother, Clayton Crisp of Carpentersville; two sisters, Linda Saunders of Florida and Pat Clark of Elk Grove Village.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Alice "Cheryl" Crisp on October 14, 2000. They married December 24, 1966.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM in the First Congregational Church of West Dundee. Burial will be private in the Dundee Township East cemetery, East Dundee.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5 to 9 PM in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee and on Wednesday in church from 10 AM until time of Service.
Memorials may be made to the First Congregational Church, West Dundee.

Walter Frank Kuck
Walter Frank Kuck, age 75, of McHenry, died Sunday, April 14, 2002 at Northern Illinois Medical Center in McHenry. He was born May 27, 1926 in Chicago, the son of Arthur and Amanda (nee Freund) Kuck. On January 17, 1993 he married the former Louise Hamilton in Zion, Illinois.
Prior to retirement, Mr. Kuck worked as an inspector for International Harvester in Libertyville for 32 years.
Mr. Kuck was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, and served during World War II. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 5040 in Woodstock, and a former member of V.F.W. Post 4600 in McHenry. He also was a member of the American Legion Post 491 in McHenry.
Mr. Kuck held the post of past district commander for the 5th District of the State of Illinois V.F.W. organization, and also was the past commander of the Woodstock V.F.W. Post 5040 after serving as its commander twice.
Survivors include his wife of nine years, Louise Kuck of McHenry; three children, Barbara (Don) Klapperich of Johnsburg, Eugene Kuck of Woodstock and Ernest Kuck of Woodstock; his step-children, Roy Breede of Carol Stream, Ellen (Robert) Zalce of Carpentersville, Penny (Randy) Reynolds of Rockford, Cheryl Cochran of Paducah, Kentucky, Allen (Judy) Smith of Leroy, Wisconsin, Randy (Paula) Smith of Elgin and Dean Smith of Azusa, California; 21 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, William Kuck; his first wife, Eleanor Kuck on February 7, 1968; and his second wife, Gerri Kuck on August 5, 1991.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 17, 2002 at the George R. Justen & Son Funeral Home, 3519 W. Elm Street, McHenry. The visitation will continue on Thursday, April 18, 2002 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at Zion Lutheran Chuch, 4206 W. Elm Street, McHenry, IL.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 18, 2002 at the church, the Rev. Aden Loest will officiate. Interment will be in Woodland cemetery in McHenry.
Memorials would be appreciated by the family to the Zion Lutheran, Attn: Videotape Ministry, 4206 W. Elm Street, McHenry, IL 60050.

Harold J. Schweizer
Harold J. Schweizer, 81, of West Dundee died Sunday, April 14, 2002 at the Provena St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin.
He was born in Chicago on July 2, 1920, the son of Gunther and Agnes (Petersen) Schweizer.
He was a 40 year resident of the area. He was a World War II Army veteran, a recipient of the Purple Heart and a member of VFW Post 2298 of West Dundee.
He is survived by four children, John (Pat) Schweizer of St. Charles, Susan (William) Davidowski of Gilberts, Doris Schweizer of West Dundee and Patty (Mark) Brandt of Fishers, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Michael, Mark and Carol Schweizer, Kathy and Kimberly Farrell, Melinda Davidowski and Alex Brandt.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Juanita on September 15, 1998. They married on December 12, 1943; and a daughter, Alice "Torchy" Farrell.
Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, at 6 PM in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee. Burial will be private. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 3 PM until time of Services in the funeral home.

Margaret L. Ashley
Margaret L. Ashley, 81, of Elgin passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2003 in Provena St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin.
She was born December 25, 1921 in Racine, WI and was the daughter of Otto and Rose (Swamer) Katzensky. Margaret was a Supervisor at Knowles Electronics, Inc. for many years prior to her retirement.
Survivors include three children, Dennis (Pam) Ashley of Elgin, Robert (Penny) Ashley of Denton, TX and Jo Ann (Ralph) Rohrssen of Phoenix, AZ; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a brother, Raymond; three sisters, Dorothy, Evelyn and Elnora; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Ronald Ashley; a sister, Mildred; and a brother, Donald.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 18, 2003 at 10 AM in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:30 to 8:30 PM in the funeral home.

Henry C. Grisham Jr.
Henry C. Grisham Jr., 80, of Elgin passed away Monday, April 14, 2003 at Sherman Hospital, Elgin. He was born November 28, 1922 in Springdale, AR, the son of Henry C. and Rose Beu Grisham Sr. He had been a resident of the Elgin area for most of his life. He had been employed at the Elgin Mental Health Care Center for 30 years before retiring. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy.
He was past commander and a member of VFW Post 1307 of Elgin where he was active with the Golden Diners. He was a member of American Legion Post 57 of Elgin. He was a member of the Izaak Walton League.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Suter Grisham whom he married on September 12, 1948, two daughters, Vicki (Peter) Culver of Elgin and Mary (Bill) Duewel of Elgin, one son, John (Diane) Grisham of Ashville, AL, nine grandchildren, Tyler, Ben (Jennifer) Culver, Abbie, Kyla and Brad Duewel, Michael (Leslie), Miranda, Rocco (Amanda) Caius Grisham, two step grandchildren, Brandy and Caleb Lavender and one sister, Helen (Dick) Thurnau of Seattle, WA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Robert Grisham and one sister, Dorothy Cottingham.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 18, 2003 at 11:30 a.m. at Laird Funeral Home, Elgin. Burial with military honors conducted by VFW Post 1307 and American Legion Post 57 will be in Lakewood Memorial Park, Elgin. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to VFW Post 1307, Elgin or to the charity of one's choice.

Connor James Hitzeroth
Connor James Hitzeroth, born October 6, 2001 and went to heaven on April 14, 2003. He is the son of Rick and Jami (Krultz) Hitzeroth.
Connor is survived by his maternal grandparents, Jim and Phyllis Krultz of Elgin, his paternal grandparents Wesley and Betty Hitzeroth of Marengo, a great grandmother, Ruth Schmidt of Crystal Lake, his aunts and uncles Kiersten and Josh Hartman of South Elgin, Jim and Kelli Hitzeroth of Elgin and Sue Hitzeroth. Also his five cousins Sarah, Joe and Hannah Hitzeroth and Jodi and Nick Krueger. He will also be missed by friends and family including those from Georgia and Pennsylvania and all the staff at Little Angers.
A private funeral and burial will be on April 17, 2003. Memorials may be made in his name to Little Angels, 1435 Summit, Elgin, IL 60120.
