Karl L. Reinke, Jr.
Karl L. Reinke, Jr., 77 of Sleepy Hollow died Wednesday, April 13, 2005 at Sherman Hospital in Elgin.
He was born in Oak Park on April 13, 1928. He was the son of Karl L. and Vivian Reinke, Sr. He was a long time resident and businessman in the Dundee area and a member of the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in East Dundee.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, LaVonne E. "Vonnie"; their children, William (Beth), Richard (Deanna) Debra and Timothy (Daneen); six grandchildren; and his brother, Henry (Marcy). Many nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial Services and Interment will be private. Please omit flowers, memorials may be made to the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church "Faithfulness Fund", The Immanuel Lutheran Church Music Ministry, or the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran School, 310 E. Susan T. Stansbury
Susan T. Stansbury, 84, of Genoa died peacefully Thursday, April 14, 2005, surrounded by her family.
She was orn November 27, 1920 in Chicago, the daughter of Michael and Elizabeth Meravy. She married
Robert R. Stansbury on September 24, 1949 in Chicago.
She was a waitress at the Golden Bear in Elgin and then worked as a hairdresser for the nuns in the infirmary at the Sisters of St. Joseph Immaculate Convent of Bartlett. She served them with much tenderness and care.
She was a former member of the Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Elgin, being active in the Altar Guild, Ladies Aide and Bell Ringer. She was currently a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Genoa.
Susan loved to bake, entertain, sew, do crafts, go bowling, play games and cards and especially enjoyed gardening and growing roses. She helped those in need and people that were ill with meals. She had many good friendships that have lasted through the years.
Susan was a loving wife and mother, being survived by two daughters, Karen (Vance) Zimmerman and Diane (John) Beisner, both of Genoa; three grandchildren, Rob Legoo, Dan and Shawn Beisner; three brothers, Mike (Marie) Meravy and William (Arlene) Obert, both of Chicago and Joey (Frances) Obert of WI; one special sister, Katherin Brennan of Hebron; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 2001; two brothers, Steve and Jimmy Tallo; and two sisters, Mary Ochodnicky and Betty Niemi.
Her Funeral Service will be on Monday, April 18 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Genoa, with Rev. Harold W. Schmist officiating. Burial will be at the Genoa cemetery.

Bonnie Jo "Mickey" Duncan
Bonnie Jo "Mickey" Michelle (nee Pflaum) Duncan, 50, died Sunday, April 15, 2001 in her home.
She was born Dec. 1, 1950 in Grand Forks, N.D. and was a 31 year resident of Carpentersville.
Mickey is survived by her cherished husband, Jerry; two sons, Richard of St. Charles and Donovan (Angela) of Nashua, N.H.; a daughter, Rhonda of Hampshire; a step-daughter, Tanya of Bartlett; nine grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard W. and Mary Lou Pflaum.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Thursday in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee with Rev. Marla Parker officiating. Burial will follow at Dundee Township East cemetery, East Dundee.
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m., Wednesday in the funeral home.
Nancy M. LaPonte
Nancy M. LaPonte, 77, of Elgin, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2001 in her home.
She was born June 25, 1923 in Chicago, the daughter of Raymond and Grace Casciato Costello.
She had been a resident of Hoffman Estates for 18 years and had lived in Elgin since 1978. She had been employed by J.C. Penney in Schaumburg for 14 years before retiring in 1986. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Elgin.
Survivors include her husband, Louis A. LaPonte, whom she married
on June 2, 1951; a daughter, Maribeth LaPonte of Elgin; two sons, Mark (Annette) LaPonte and Jude (Michelle) LaPonte, both of Elgin; three grandchildren, ChristopherLaPonte, Luke LaPonte and Ryan Wuilleumier; two sisters, Carmel (Frank) Guido of Boca Raton, Fla. and Rita Naughton of Fairfax, Va.; a brother, Joseph Costello of Downers Grove; four sisters-in-law, Juliet Inendino of Addison, Theresa Grandenitti of Carol Stream, Nancy Costello of Plainfield and Narda LaPonte of Chicago; a brother-in-law, Carl (Mary) LaPonte of Schaumburg; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Emmett Costello.
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m., Thursday, in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Elgin, the Rev. Thomas Dempsey officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael the Archangel cemetery, Palatine.
Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Wednesday in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin and Thursday from 9:15 a.m. until the time of Mass in the Hospitality Center at the Church.

Gladys Lomax
Gladys Lomax, 84, of Elgin, formerly of Abingdon, IL, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2001 at Delnor Community Hospital in Geneva, IL.
She was born December 8, 1916 in Rushville, IL, the daughter of Loren and Mary Edna (Fey) Tharp.
She married
Marvin M. Lomax in August 1956 in Quincy, IL. She was a homemaker and farmed for many years with her husband in Indian Point Township, Knox County, IL.
Survivors include two sons, Marvin (Cheryl) Lomax Jr. of West Jordan, UT and Lloyd Lomax of Rockford; a daughter, Charlene (Myron) Goldman of Elgin; five grandchildren, Dillon and Lucas Lomax, and David, Jonathon and Sarah Goldman; a brother, Albert Tharp of Equality, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 18 at 2 PM in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Chapel, 206 N. Washington St., Abingdon with Rev. Raymond McLaren officiating. Burial will be in Abington cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6-8 PM and Wednesday from 10-11 AM.

Ausencio Munoz
Ausencio Munoz, 86, of Elgin, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2001 at Sherman Hospital, Elgin.
He was born Dec. 18, 1914 in Jalisco, Mexico, the son of Blas and Maria Lousia Padilla Munoz.
He was a coffee maker at a local nursing home.
Survivors include his children,Rebecca (Eulalio) Diacz of Elgin, Sofia (Salvador) Monjaraz of Elgin, Socorro (Ruben) Jimenec of Mexico, Rosario Canales of Elgin, Aurora (Severiano) Munoz of Mexico, Martha Jimenez of Elgin, Jesus (Hermelinda) Munoz of California, Alfonso (Estela) Munoz of California and Manuel (Rosa) Munoz of Mexico; 43 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; two sisters of Mexico; and two brothers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Deloris who passed away in 1984; two brothers; and four children.
Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 18, 2001 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Father Hector Moreno officiating. Burial will be in Bluff City cemetery, Elgin.

Geraldine Helen Ovyn
Geraldine Helen (Ranche) Ovyn, 72, of Woodstock, formerly of Chicago and Lake in the Hills, died Sunday, April 15, 2001 at Sherman Hospital, Elgin.
She was born Feb. 7, 1929 in Chicago, the daughter of Irene and Benjamin Ranche.
She lived in Chicago until 1956 at which time she moved to Lake in the Hills. She moved to Woodstock in 1989. On April 15, 1950, she married
Daryl Charles Ovyn at St. John Berchmans Church in Chicago.
She was a church secretary for 12 years at St. Margaret Mary church in Algonquin. She was active in the Woman's Auxiliary of Lake in the Hills, started the first girls baseball league and was the original Girl Scout Leader for Troop #569 in Lake in the Hills.
In Woodstock she was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the director of the funeral luncheons. She belonged to the Woodstock Moose, Silver Key Club and was a volunteer for Memorial Medical Hospital working in the gift shop. Also a member of the Hospital Aux. and a volunteer for Woodstock Food Pantry. She was a professional cake baker and decorator.
Survivors include three daughters,Judith (Charles) DeNardo of Waukesha, Wis., Joyce (James) Klein of Howell, Mich. and Darlene (James) Warner of Lake in the Hills; nine grandchildren, Tina (Mark) Dutcher of Watertown, Wis., Kelly DeNardo, Erin DeNardo, Jason Klein, Jordan Klein, Jonathan Klein, Benjamin Warner, James Warner and Elizabeth Warner; a sister, Shirley (Paul) Nowak of Arlington Heights; nine nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daryl on May 3, 1991; her parents; a sister, Gene Michiels; her grandparents; twin grandsons, Mark and Matthew Warner; and a niece.
Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m., Friday, April 20, 2001 in St. Mary Church. Interment will be in Calvary cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Thursday at the Schneider-Leucht-Merwin-Cooney Funeral Home, Woodstock.
Memorials may be made for Masses for both Geri and Daryl.
Teresa Rotundo
Teresa Rotundo, 95, of Carpentersville died Thursday, April 12, 2001 in her home.
She was born April 18, 1905 in Siano, Italy, the daughter of Giovanni and Santa (Rubino) Cacia.
She was an 80 year resident of the Carpentersville area and a member of the St. Catherine of Siena Church. She married
Raffaele Rotundo March 11, 1922 and came to America. Teresa proudly received her American Citizenship in 1922. Former owner of the Halfway House of East Dundee, tailor for B. G. Garments of Elgin, former Farmer and Nursery owner, The Original Pizza Chef for Masi's of Dundee, former employee of Moretti Fireworks Co.
She is survived by two sons, Louis (June) of Edgewater, FL and John (Gertrude) of Carpentersville; grandmother of 16; great grandmother of 22; and a sister, Anna Cacia of Siano, Italy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raffaele; four sisters, Pasqualine, Rosa, Angela and Maria; five brothers, Salvatore, Giuseppe, Taliano, Raffaele and Giovanni; a grandson, Ralph; and a daughter-in-law, Joyce.
Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, April 18, 2001 at 10 AM in the St. Catherine of Siena Church with the Rev. Richard Rosinski officiating. Burial will follow in the Dundee Township East cemetery, East Dundee.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 17, 2001 from 4 to 9 PM in the Miller Funeral Home and in Church on Wednesday from 9 AM until time of Mass.
Lyle Gordon Rouley
Lyle Gordon Rouley died April 4, 2001.
Survivors include two sisters, Dolores B. Rouley and Phyllis A. Ruddell; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Lucy Rouley; and a sister, Ruth Ellen Walker.
Services of Remembrance will be 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 18, 2001 in the Community Funeral Home, located on Rt. 25 between Rts. 72 & 68, East Dundee.
