Susan T. Stansbury
Susan T. Stansbury, 84, of Genoa died peacefully Thursday, April 14, 2005, surrounded by her family.
She was born November 27, 1920 in Chicago, the daughter of Michael and Elizabeth Meravy. She married Robert R. Stansbury on September 24, 1949 in Chicago.
She was a waitress at the Golden Bear in Elgin and then worked as a hairdresser for the nuns in the infirmary at the Sisters of St. Joseph Immaculate Convent of Bartlett for 20 years. She served them with much tenderness and care.
She was a former member of the Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Elgin, being active in the Altar Guild, Ladies Aide and Bell Ringer. She was currently a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Genoa.
Susan loved to bake, entertain, sew, do crafts, go bowling, play games and cards and especially enjoyed gardening and growing roses. She helped those in need and people that were ill with meals. She had many good friendships that have lasted through the years.
Susan was a loving wife and mother, being survived by two daughters, Karen (Vance) Zimmerman and Diane (John) Beisner, both of Genoa; three grandchildren, Rob Legoo, Dan and Shawn Beisner; three brothers, Mike (Marie) Meravy and William (Arlene) Obert, both of Chicago and Joey (Frances) Obert of WI; one special sister, Katherine Brennan of Hebron; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 2001; two brothers, Steve and Jimmy Tallo; and two sisters, Mary Ochodnicky and Betty Niemi.
Her Funeral Service will be on Monday, April 18 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Genoa, with Rev. Harold W. Schmidt officiating. Burial will be at the Genoa cemetery.
Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-6:00 PM at the Slater-Butala Funeral Home, 132 W. Main, P.O. Box 8, Genoa, IL 60135. Memorial can be made to the Genoa Fodd Pantry in care of the Slater-Butala Funeral Home. For info (815)784-5191.

David Edward Steeves, Jr.
Visitation for David Edward Steeves Jr, 19, will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2005 from 3 to 8 PM, followed by a bilingual memorial service (Korean and English), at the Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin, IL, 60123. Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 10 AM in the St. John's Lutheran Church, 101 N. Spring St., Elgin, IL, 60120. Burial will follow in River Valley Memorial Gardens, 14N689 Rt. 31, West Dundee, IL.
He was born on March 6, 1986 in Londbranch, NJ and the son of David and Ok Kyong Steeves Sr. The family moved to Elgin in 1992, where he died unexpectedly on Friday, April 8, 2005. David was a graduate of Elgin High School in 2004 and was currently a student at Elgin Community College. He is dearly missed.
David is the beloved son of David and Ok Kyong Steeves of Elgin; brother to Lisa Steeves of Batavia and Anna Steeves of Elgin; and aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Memorials are appreciated to the David Steeves Trust Fund at any Harris Bank.

Bonnie Jo "Mickey" Duncan
Bonnie Jo "Mickey" Michelle (nee Pflaum) Duncan, 50, died Sunday, April 15, 2001 in her home.
She was born Dec. 1, 1950 in Grand Forks, N.D. and was a 31 year resident of Carpentersville.
Mickey is survived by her cherished husband, Jerry; two sons, Richard of St. Charles and Donovan (Angela) of Nashua, N.H.; a daughter, Rhonda of Hampshire; a step-daughter, Tanya of Bartlett; nine grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard W. and Mary Lou Pflaum.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Thursday in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee with Rev. Marla Parker officiating. Burial will follow at Dundee Township East cemetery, East Dundee.
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m., Wednesday in the funeral home.

Elaine M. Fox
Elaine M. Fox, 63, of Huntley, formerly of Elgin, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2001 in Provena St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin. She was born September 20, 1937 in Ottawa, IL the daughter of John and Mathilda Mitchell Budach. She grew up on a farm in Ransom, IL and was a Graduate of the University of Illinois. She had been a resident of Elgin for 33 years before moving to Huntley in 1999. She worked in the Elgin area as a Special Education Teacher before retiring. She enjoyed volunteer work with the Anderson Animal Shelter and Horizons for the Blind in Crystal Lake, an agency that provides services for the visually impaired. She had been a member of First United Methodist Church in Elgin for the past 35 years.
Surviving are her husband, John Fox whom she married on Aug 19, 1965; a daughter, Lisa (Dale) Cowan of Hampshire; a son David Fox of Chicago; a grandson Cody Cowan; and a brother Jack (Barbara) Budach of Ottawa.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 10 AM in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin with Rev. Mona Walker officiating. Burial will be in River Valley Memorial Gardens, West Dundee. Visitation will be held Friday from 4 PM to 8 PM in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Anderson Animal Shelter or Horizons for the Blind.

Floyd Walter "Mac" McArthur
Floyd Walter "Mac" McArthur, 67, of Huntley, IL. formerly of Elgin. died Monday, April 16th at Provena St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin. Born October 8, 1933 in Elgin to Walter & Sarah (nee Schmidt) McArthur.
He had been a bus driver for the City of Elgin. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Elgin where he was a member of their choir. He grew up in Elgin attending the Immanuel Baptist Church. He was a past member of the Elgin Navy Club. The family is proud that he was an organ donor.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Wiese, his childhood sweetheart, whom he married on April 8, 1972. His four sons; Jake (Mary) Bons of Elk Grove Village, Ron (Caren) Bons, Joe (Jean) Bons of Edgewood Washington and Ken (Tanya) Bons of Island Lake, Illinois. A daughter; Julie (David) Garrett of Plato Center, Illinois. A brother; Robert (Esther) McArthur of South Elgin. His brother-in-law and sister-in-law, "Brother" Bill & Marlene "Sis" Holle of Marengo, Illinois. His two aunts, Sid Schmidt & Mildred Schmidt both of Elgin. An uncle, Norman Schmidt of Elgin and his Mother-in-law, Cecilia Wiese of Elgin. 12 grandchildren, Lisa, Phil, Kaitlyn, Joseph "B.J.", Amy, Isaac, Rusty, Martin, Destiny, Cheyenne and Boston Bons, and Annie & Cliff Garrett. "Pa" will also be sadly missed by his "Little Ones" he held and loved for so many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Mary McArthur, and Ruby McArthur (in infancy) and his granddaughter, Amy Sue Bons.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 AM, Thursday, April 19, 2001, at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Jeorge Holms of New Life Church in Addison will be officiating. Burial will be at Lakewood Memorial Park cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 18th, from 3:00PM to 8:00PM at the Wait Ross Allanson Elgin Funeral Chapel.
Memorial Contributions are requested in Floyd's name be made to the family.

Voldemar Oper
Voldemar Oper, 83, of Elgin, passed away Monday, April 16, 2001.
He was born in Estonia and was a long time resident of Elgin.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Salme (nee Joosep); devoted father of Linda (Michael) Oper and Tiina (James) Arcara; dear grandfather of Gabrielle and Gwenyth Arcara.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Frank J. Plank
Frank J. Plank, Jr. 85, of Elgin died April 16 at the Alden Poplar Creek Care Center in Hoffman Estates. Born September 2, 1915 in Chicago to Frank J. Sr. & Cecelia (nee Prawudowits) Plank.
He was 3rd & 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus of Father O'Conner Council #887, Chicago, a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church. He also was a member of the Willow Lakes Estates Pinochle Club.
He is survived by a son Frank J. (Joyce) Plank III, daughters, Mary Ann (Frank Head) West of Carpentersville and Elizabeth (Thomas) Gray of Rolling Meadows, a brother John of Downers Grove, 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a niece Ruth (Will) Kilbourne of Lansing, MI.
He preceded in death by his parents, wife Frances and a brother Leo.
Funeral Services will be Friday, April 20 at 9:15 AM from the Miller Funeral Home to St. Thomas More Catholic Church of Elgin at 10 AM. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery, McHenry. Visitation will be Thursday, April 19, from 4-8 PM in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee.

Ricky Ross
Ricky Ross, 34, of Bartlett passed away on April 17, 2001 at home. He was born July 11, 1966.
He was a member of Ironworkers Union Local No. 1.
Loving father of Devin Godzicki and Ashley Ross. Dear son of Jerry Ross and Dee Harrington (Ross). Loving grandson of Evelyn Rawson. Brother of Gerald Ross, Robert Ross and Deanna Laskero. Uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Will be held Saturday, April 21, 2001 at the Pafford Funeral Home, Lexington, TN. Burial will take place in Little Fork Church cemetery, Huron, TN. Visitation will be Thursday 3-9PM at Ahglrim & Sons Funeral Home, 485 S. Bartlett Road, Streamwood.

Nolan D. Schiebout
Nolan D. Schiebout, 50, of West Dundee, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2001.
He was born Oct. 19, 1950 in Orange City, Iowa, the son of Abe and Nelvera Roos Schiebout.
He was Program Manager for Motorola in Arlington Heights. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him. He was a member of Christ the Lord Lutheran Church, Elgin, where he sang in the choir.
Survivors include his wife, Annette, whom he married on Oct. 4, 1975; two children, Jessen and Kyle; his parents of Orange City, Iowa; two sisters, Rev.Arlyce Schiebout of Canada and Dr. Denise (Joseph Dixon) Schiebout of Michigan; a brother, Firman (Cheryl) Schiebout of China; and nieces and nephews, Matt and Sara Schiebout, Janson and Christina LaBond and Benjamin, Thomas and Andrew Dixon.
Funeral Services will be 10 a.m., Thursday, at the Christ the Lord Lutheran Church (corner of Tina Tr. and W. Highland Ave.), Elgin, the Rev. Steven Srock officiating. Burial will be in River Valley Memorial Gardens, West Dundee.
Visitation will be 3-8 p.m., Wednesday in the Laird Funeral Home, 120 S. Third St. (Corner of S. Third and Oregon St.), West Dundee and on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services in the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for the Schiebout Children's Education Fund.

Henry E. Schumacher
Henry E. Schumacher, 79, of Battle Lake, MN formerly of Carpentersville died April 16, in Sparta, WI. Born March 21, 1922 in Carpentersville to John H. & Mabel G. (Lorenz) Schumacher.
He was a WWII Army Veteran and a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Carpentersville.
He is survived by his daughter Vicki (Alvin) Jambor of Hampshire sons, Dennis (Char) of Elgin, and Thomas (Regina) of Sparta, WI; sisters Lorraine (Merle) Holland of S. Elgin and Eleanore "Dolly" Schumacher of Leesburg, FL; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Vivian, two brothers, a sister and a grandson.
Funeral Services will be Friday, April 20, in the Miller Funeral Home at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Lakewood Memorial Park in Elgin. Visitation will be from 12:00 (noon) until time of services on Friday.
