Fredia M. Lake
Fredia M. Lake, 62, of Huntley passed away Sunday, April 29, 2001 at Governor's Park in Barrington.
She was born September 2, 1938 in Marion, IL, the daughter of William and Mayme (Pritchett) Lautz.
Fredia married
Fred Schulten in 1958 and they resided in Lake in the Hills until his death in 1982. Fredia married
Harold Lake in 1985 and has resided in Huntley for the past 16 years. She was a former employee of the Union Specialty Corp. of Huntley and a member of the Christian Fellowship Church of Crystal Lake.
Surviving are her husband Harold; her mother, Mayme Drew of Marion, IL; three children, Suzanne (Michael) Groesser of Lake in the Hills, JoAnn Schulten and Herb (Gail) Schulten of Sharon, WI; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Marilyn (Kenneth) Tanner of Stone Fort, IL and Peggy (Don) Sprague of Marion; and a brother, Billy Joe (Maude) Galliher of Granite City.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Lautz; her stepfather, George Drew; and her daughter, Louann Schulten in 1998.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, May 3, 2001 at the James A. O'Connor Funeral Home, 11603 E. Main St, Huntley with the Rev. David Massey officiating. Burial will be in the Huntley cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the family.
Lillian Marie Rice
Lillian Marie Rice, 86, of Elgin, formerly of Willow Lakes, passed away on April 28, 2004 at Sherman Hospital. She was born May 16, 1917 in Chicago, the daughter of Christian and Marie (Olsen) Bender.
She was a member of the AARP Chapter #397.
She is survived by her two sons, James A. (Linda) Rice and Daniel C. (Theresa "Tera"); her grandchildren, Dawn (Sam) Salerno, Jeanne, Eric, Lisa, Christopher and Mary; and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cyrus in 1994 and a son, William Rice; two brothers, Edward and Robert Bender.
Visitation will be held Saturday, May 1, 2004 from 2 until 7 p.m. at Madison Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to American Diabetes Association would be appreciated.

E. Lorraine "Lal" Berg (nee Anderson), 87, of Bartlett, formerly of Park Ridge, IL, passed away Friday, April 29, 2005 at home. She was born January 11, 1918 in Chicago, IL. She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Park Ridge, IL.
She is survived by her children, Sam (Larry) Allen of Bartlett, IL and Lin (the late Michael) Henricks of Bartlett, IL; brother, Alvin (Jane) Anderson of Clarendon Hills, IL and Key Largo, FL; grandchildren, Brandi (Ryan) Harris, Jennie Allen, Nathan, Morgan & Carter Henricks; and great grandchild, Samuel Harris.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Tuesday, May 3, 2005 in the Countryside Funeral Home, South Bartlett Rd (at Stearns Rd.), Bartlett, IL. Interment will be private.

John C. Berner
John C. Berner, 71, of Elgin passed away Thursday, April 28, 2005 in Kindred Hospital in Sycamore, IL. He was born January 1, 1934 in Burlington, Iowa and was the son of Edwin and Marie Berner. He had been a resident of Elgin for the past 40 years and had been employed by the Elgin Mental Health Center for many years and then was manager of Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 1047 of Elgin and then served as secretary-treasurer of the Eagles. He was active with the Continental Little League for many years and he enjoyed Bingo.

Survived by his wife, Barbara; one sister, Ann (Joe) Sexton of Bristol, CT and one brother, Edwin (Francis) Berner of Burlington, New Jersey.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. in the Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin with Fr. Joseph F. Kulak officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Laurence Catholic Church building fund.
Sue Cerasa
Sue Cerasa, 77, of Elgin passed away Friday, April 29, 2005 in Geneva, IL. She was born on November 7, 1927 in Paducah, KY and was the daughter of Edward and Geneva Wilson. Sue had worked for the A&P; Food Stores for 25 years, and then she was a Dean's Assistant at Larkin High School in Elgin for 10 years prior to her retirement. Sue was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be dearly missed.
Survivors include three children, Richard (Marsha) Chandler of TX, Polly (George) Bradshaw of Winfield, IL, Karen (Rosario) Sparacio of Geneva, IL; her niece, Linda Gavlin; 10 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Cerasa in 2002; and her sister, Carolyn Viehl.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at 10 AM in the Christ Community Church, St. Charles, IL. Burial will follow in River Valley Memorial Gardens, West Dundee. William F. Czischki, Jr.
William F. Czischki, Jr., 57 of Elgin, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 27, 2005. Born December 20, 1947 in Elgin, the son of William F. and Violet (Zirk) Czischki.
Mr. Czischki retired as a Master Sargent in the US Air Force after 20 years of Service to our country.
Surviving are his Mother of Elgin; one Brother, John (Lynne) Czischki of Bartlett; one Sister, Peggy (Craig) Pflueger of Elgin; two nieces and two nephews; two great nieces and one great great niece.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1964 and one nephew.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 2, 2005 at 11:30 AM at the Wait Ross Allanson Funeral and Cremation Services, Elgin, Chapel.
Burial will be in the Bluff City cemetery in Elgin.

Joseph M. Klein Sr.
Joseph M. Klein Sr., 86, of Bartlett for 38 years died Friday, April 29, 2005 in Winfield, IL. He was born September 6, 1918 in Winfield, IL. He was retired from Hunt Wesson Food, a former delivery driver for Doc's Drugs and a school crossing guard.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Charlotte (nee Wanders) they married
in 1958; loving father of Joe Jr. (Denise) of Wheaton, Sandy (Sonny) Hammond of California, Ken of Bartlett and the late Joyce; cherished grandfather of Alex, Alek, Zach and Carly.

Peggy M. Jennings
Peggy M. Jennings, 90, of Elgin, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2001 in Sherman Hospital, Elgin.
She was born Oct. 12, 1910 in Elgin, the daughter of Fred and Mabel (Bame) King.
Peggy was a resident of Elgin for all of her life, and was a resident of Countryside Manor of Elgin.
She was employed at the Elgin National Watch Factory for 30 years prior to her retirement. Peggy enjoyed the tours and travel with the Senior Citizen groups of Elgin. She was a member of the Community United Methodist Church of South Elgin.
Survivors include four children, Carol Edwards of Elgin; Mary Lou (Phillip) Wicklund of South Elgin, Joy (Mahlon) Schweitzer of South Elgin and Diane (Daymond) Waschow of West Dundee; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and eight great great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Jennings in 1977; and her daughter, Barbara in infancy.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Thursday in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin, the Rev. Mary Wise officiating. Burial will be in Dundee Township East cemetery, East Dundee.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Wednesday in the funeral home.

Albert Medina
Albert Medina, 74, of Carpentersville died Saturday, April 28, 2001 in Waycross, Ga.
He was born in Chicago on July 29, 1926, the son of Albert and Frances (Garcia) Medina.
He was a 32 year resident of the area. A member of the St. Monica Church, a 35 year employee of Chicago Rawhide as a Tool & Die maker, retiring in 1989. He was a WWII Army Veteran, a former 31 year member of the Dundee American Legion Post #0679 and an avid golfer. A former Ranger at the Wing Park Golf Course and a former School Bus Driver for District 300.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia (Steve) Lytle of Joliet; two sons, Daniel (Antoinette) of Carpentersville and Russell (Rosemarie) of Elgin; nine grandchildren; his son-in-law, Steven Boettger of Kirkland; two sisters, Adelita Granado and Josephine Aragon; and three brothers, Louis, Jose and Ernest.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Genevieve; his wife, Mary Louise; two brothers, Lucas and Horacio; and a daughter, Robin Boettger.
Prayers will be 9:15 a.m., Friday in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee to St. Monica's Church in Carpentersville for 10 a.m. Mass. Burial will follow in the Dundee Township East cemetery, East Dundee.
Visitation will be 3-9 p.m., Thursday in the funeral home.
Harvey H. Rohrsen
Harvey H. Rohrsen, 84, of Elgin, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2001 at Poudre Valley Hospital in Ft. Collins, Colo.
He was born Jan. 30, 1917 in Plato Center, the son of Henry and Emma(Lenschow) Rohrsen.
Mr. Rohrsen worked for Coca Cola Bottling Co. for over 25 years as a Route Salesman throughout the Elgin and neighboring communities. Prior to working with "Coke" he lived and worked on the family farm near Plato Center. He was a 1934 graduate of Plato Center High School and lived in Plato Township for nearly 50 years. During his high school and later years, he loved to play the guitar and sing, even having his own radio show during the 1930's. In 1942, he married
Marjorie Tegtman of Hampshire. They were married
for 54 years and after they both retired they enjoyed traveling toHawaii until her death in 1996. During the past two years, Mr. Rohrsen resided in Ft. Collins, Colo. with his niece, Valerie Rohrsen Trujillo and her husband, Joe.
Mr. Rohrsen was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Pingree Grove.
Survivors include his sister-in-law,Helen Rohrsen of Hampshire and a niece, Valerie Rohrsen Trujillo of Ft. Collins, Colo.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie; and a brother, Harold Rohrsen of Hampshire.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday, May 4 at the Fredrick Funeral Home, 284 Park St., Hampshire, the Rev. Loren Krout officiating. Burial will be in Hampshire Center cemetery.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
