Jacqueline M. Fischer "Jackie"
Jacqueline M. "Jackie" Fischer, 75, of Lake in the Hills, formerly of Carpentersville, died Friday, February 6, 2004 at Sherman Hospital in Elgin. She was born in Wisconsin on November 20, 1928, the daughter of Bruce and Mary (nee Murphy) Kimball. Jackie was a many year resident of the Carpentersville-Lake in the Hills areas. She was a many year employee of School District #300 where she worked as a School Secretary at Golfview School in Carpentersville. She was a member of Saint Elizabeth Anne Seton Church in Crystal Lake and a former many year member of St. Monica Church in Carpentersville.
She is survived by her three children, Jeff Rich of Lake in the Hills, John Rich of Maurice, Louisiana and Amy Fitzsimmons of Elgin; five grandchildren, Jason, Kristen and Melissa Rich, Kelsey and Meredith Fitzsimmons. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Clarence "Red" Fischer on October 28, 1989.
Visitation will be on Monday from 3 to 7 PM in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee. Funeral Services and burial will be Wednesday in Lena, Wisconsin. Please omit flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
Willie Lockett
Willie Lockett, 78, of Elgin, died Friday at Sherman Hospital.
Willie was Assistant Pastor at the Bethesda Church of God in Christ, Elgin for 17 years, and a proud member for 26 years. Also, his hobbies included gospel singing and playing the guitar.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 10, 2004 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the O'Connor-Leetz Funeral Home, Elgin, and again from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the Bethesda Church of God in Christ, 454 Hickory Pl., Elgin, with the Pastor James L. Elmer Harold Moll
Elmer Harold Moll, 97, of Crystal Lake died Wednesday, January 21, 2004 at Sunrise Assisted Living of Crystal Lake. He was born March 27, 1906 in Rockford, Iowa, to Henry and Ida Moll. He married
Dorothy Bruns in 1933.
He was employed for 44 years with the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul & Pacific Railroad as a Ticket Agent. He was a 1923 graduate of Garner High School and a 1925 graduate of Hamilton University in Mason City, Iowa.
He was a former resident of Rockford, Iowa; Garner, Iowa; Chicago; Sioux Falls, SD; Willow Lake Estates in Elgin; and Hearthstone Village in Woodstock.
He was known as "Poppy" to his grandchildren and great grandsons.
Survivors include a son, Richard (Eloise) Moll of Los Altos, California; a daughter, Lois Kathryn (Ted) Voss of Cary; Four granddaughters, Adrienne Moll of Eugene, Oregon, Patricia Moll of Brussels, Belgium, Kathleen (Todd) Page of Belvidere, Illinois and Sandra (Mark Osmulski) Voss of Denver, Colorado; two great grandsons, Dylan and Devon Page of Belvidere.
He was preceded in death by his wife; two brothers, Walter and Erwin Moll; and six sisters, Hulda Moll, Esther Abele, Lillie Moll, Gladys Hagerman, Meta Moll and Delia Duesenberg.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1 PM Sunday, February 15, 2004 at Cary United Methodist Church, 500 First Street, Cary, Illinois. The Rev. Carol Cory will officiate.

Gertrude Rohlwing, 88, of Elgin passed away Saturday, February 7, 2004 at Rosewood Health Care. She was born on April 22, 1915 in Des Plaines, IL , the daughter of Gustav and Anna Michehl Kerschke
Member of St. John's Lutheran Church if Elgin, IL for 66 years. Also a member of the Ladies Aid Society of St. John's Lutheran Church.
Surviving are her husband Arnold whom she married
on September 4, 1937; three sons, Donald (Teri) of Bartlett, Kenneth (Sue) of St. Charles and Arinie (Karen) of Elgin; 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Maynard Deloise Burkett
Maynard Deloise Burkett, 85, a resident of Streamwood for 45 years, passed away February 5, 2006 at St. Alexius, Hoffman Estates. He was born on June 17, 1920 in Rochester, IN.
Maynard was a WWII US Army veteran, Member of VFW Post 5151, Streamwood. Past Post Commander VFW Post 6366 in Northlake. School Bus Driver for School District U46.
Beloved husband of the late Angela and Annabell.
Loving father of Therese (Douglas) Kates of Aurora; and Lisa (Colin Padal) Fiedler of Carol Stream; proud grandfather of Jason Bailey, Tamara (Brian) Larson, Tabatha Burkett, Leslie, Jamie, Matthew and the late Vanessa Fiedler; cherished "GG" of Olivia and Guinevere; father-in-law of Raymond Fiedler of Carol Stream; many loving nieces, nephews, friends and relatives. He'll also be missed by his faithful companion, "Midnite".

Elinor J. Engelking
Elinor J. Engelking, age 79 of Elgin, died Tuesday, February 7, 2006 at Provena St. Joseph Hospital.
She was born in Elgin September 5, 1926, the daughter of George and Minnie (Kramer) Van Kirk. On June 1, 1945 she married
Edward F. Engelking. Elinor had been employed by Illinois Bell Telephone Co. as an operator for several more years and became a business office representative for the company for several years until her retirement. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church.
Surviving are three sons, David (Juli) of Hampshire, Dale (Jan) of Plato Center, Douglas (Audrey) of Sycamore; a daughter, Debra Foster of Elgin; a brother, Richard Van Kirk of Round Lake, IL; seven grandchildren, Josh, Emily, Becky and Kelly Engelking, Amy McAulet, Heather Turner and Eric Foster; six great-grandchildren, Chuck Turner, Elinor, Hattie, Mitchell, Alzayda and Emmett McAuley.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward on September 23, 2003; a grandson, Patrick; and three sisters, Melva Grimshaw, Mary Lou Catavu and Charlene Hardt.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, February 11 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 535 N. McLean Blvd., Elgin. Rev. James E. Fandrey, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday at Wait-Ross Allanson Funeral and Cremation Services Chapel, Elgin, and on Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until time of the service at the church.
Albert O. Huske
Albert O. Huske, age 98, lived in Windson Park Manor in Carol Stream for 11 years, formerly of Elgin for 58+ years. passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2006 at his residence. He was born February 1, 1908 in Schaumburg Township, IL.
Mr. Huske was a golf professional at Glen Oak Country Club in Glen Ellyn for 30 years and a consultant for two years until he retired in 1972. He loved to teach and was considered to be one of the better teaching pros in the country.
Albert was educated in the Elgin School System. He loved golf and was an honorary member of the Glen Oak Country Club in Glen Ellyn.
He is survived by his loving son, David A. (Marjorie) Huske of Tequesta, FL, former long time resident of Glen Ellyn; cherished grandchildren, Cynthia (Philip) Schultz of San Francisco, CA and Mark Huske of Glendale Heights, IL; great granddaughters, Margot Schulz and Jane Elisabeth Huske.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret M. Huske; and 11 brothers and sister.

Blanche M. Sheffel
Blanche M. Sheffel, 84, of Elgin passed away peacefully Sunday, January 22, 2006 in the Apostolic Christian Resthaven of Elgin. She was born May 5, 1921 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Rudolph and O'Thelia (Vondracek) Sheffel.
Blanche was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Elgin and did not let her "golden years" or her health keep her on the sidelines. Though she never married
or had children of her own, Blanche considered it a blessing to actively minister children in Awana. She was also sought for counsel from the Scriptures and for her wisdom that came forth due to her close walk with Christ. Sunday mornings would find Blanche busily greeting and encouraging those who came in or went out the door into the sanctuary that she loyally attended for many years. She also volunteered at Judson College for many years for which she was rewarded with the Golden Eagle Award. Before retiring early from the corporate world Blanche, was an Employment Salary Manager and Salary Administration Manager for a large finance company.
Surviving are his counsins, Richard J. Fox and his children, Richard (Debra) Fox and Keith (Judy) Fox, and Raymond (JoAnne) Polibka and his children, David and Ann.
Survived by many friends and church members and will be dearly missed for all that she did and her great acceptance of her place in life.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 11, 2006 at the First Baptist Church, 1735 W. Highland Ave, Elgin, Dr. Jerry Cain will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to the First Baptist Church or Judson College. Laird Funeral Home, Elgin is in charge of arrangements.
Lyle T. Smith
Lyle T. Smith, 69 of East Dundee, died Monday, February 6, 2006 at Sherman Hospital. He was born on August 4, 1936 in Elgin, the son of Thomas and Frances (Paine) Smith.
Lyle was a life long resident of the area and a 1954 graduate of the Dundee Community High School. He was a former 29 year employee with Park Coffee Service in Barrington. Following his retirement he was employed by the Anvil Club in East Dundee. Lyle was a member of the First congregational Church in West Dundee for 55 years. He was an avid fisherman. Lyle loved to travel and spend time with his family and friends. He was very talented with his hands and could fix just about anything. Lyle also served in the U.S. Navy. He also served for 10 years on the East Dundee Planning Commission.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Carol (nee Wishon) Smith whom he married
on July 18, 1959; three children, Don (Kathy) Adams of Aurora, Steve (Janice) Smith of Lake In The Hills, Pam (Jerome) Johnson of Hampshire; seven grandchildren, Melinda, Amanda, Keri, Jill, David, Stephanie and Lauren; two great-grandchildren, Andrew and Samantha; two brothers, George (Dorothy) Garrison of California and Charles Smith of Bartlett.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Duane Garrison.
Visitation will be 4-8 PM on Thursday, February 9, 2006 in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee. Funeral Services and Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Congregational Church Building Fund, 417 W. Main Street, West Dundee, IL 60118.
Calvin A. Fanslow
Calvin A. Fanslow, 76, of Elgin passed away Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2001 in his home.
He was born June 6, 1924 in Chicago, the son of August and Anna Fanslow.
Calvin was a Veteran having served in the US Army during WWII. He worked for Continental Can Co. for 43 years, retiring in 1986. He loved life, family and friends. He was a member of the Algonquin American Legion Post #670.
Survivors include his wife, Lila(Belcher) Fanslow of Elgin; two daughters, Linda (Leon) Waksmundzki andDiane (Jim) Mertz; a son, Cal Falnslow Jr.; nine grandchildren, April (Mike),Jimmy, Shanon, Corin, Amber, Lindsey, Aaron, Kristine and Kari; two great-grandchildren, Linnae and Chloe; and his two canine pals, Tigger and Baylee.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin, the Rev. Steve Srock officiating. Burial will be in Dundee Township East cemetery, East Dundee.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Friday in the funeral home.

William A. Garcia
William A. Garcia, 43, of Carpentersville died Monday, Feb. 5, 2001 in Melrose Park.
He was born on May 27, 1957 in Chicago, the son of William R. and Lorraine (nee Witkowski) Garcia.
Bill was a life long resident of the Carpentersville area. He was an Eagle Scout and was a 1976 graduate of Irving Crown High School. He was a 1977 graduate of the Denver Automotive & Diesel College. He was a 25 year employee of Navistar of Melrose Park where he worked as an Experimental Engineering Test Technician. He was a member of the U.A.W. Local #2293 and a member of the Carpentersville Moose. Bill was a loving brother and devoted to his many nieces and nephews.
Survivors include a brother, Donald (Rhonda) Garcia of Carpentersville; four sisters, Marguerite (Richard) Papenbrok of Carpentersville, Janet (Steve) Jones of Hampshire, Carol Garcia of St. Charles and Annette (Ray) Puckett of Kingston; many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother in infancy; and a nephew in infancy.
Funeral services will be 9:15 a.m., Saturday in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee to St. Monica Church of Carpentersville for Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in the Dundee Township East cemetery, East Dundee.
Visitation will be 4-9 p.m., Friday in the funeral home.
William Graffenius
William Graffenius, age 72, of Lake In The Hills, died February 5, 2001.
Member of Peace Reformed Church of Mt. Prospect. He was employed for 40 years by Unocal Oil Co. before his retirement.
He is survived by his wife Margaret; two sons, Robert (Bonnie) and Donald; three daughters Linda Bills, Karen (Cliff) Dean and Lori (Mike) Baisden; grandfather of nine, great grandfather of two; a brother Henry; and a sister Midge (John) Bolt;
Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday at the Community Funeral Home, Rt 25 between Rts 72 and 68, East Dundee. Burial will be in Windridge cemetery.
