Wilma E. Wickes (nee Eastman)
Wilma E. Wickes, age 75, of Arlington Heights, passed away June 4, 2001.
Loving mother of Ronald (Deanna) Wickes, Nancy (Richard) Syversen, Connie (John) Tracy, and Steven Wickes. Cherished grandmother of Eric, Ann and Christopher Syversen, A.J. and Austin Wickes, Matthew, Adam and Laura Tracy. Dear sister of Maxine Brown, Jerry Eastman, and Pat (John) Moore. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 6, from 3-9 p.m. at Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine, IL. For info (847) 358-7411.

Mildred Johnson
Mildred Johnson, 88, of Elgin went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 28, 2004. She was born in Chicago on May 9, 1916.
Mildred worked as a hairdresser for many years, and then in the customer service offices of Sears.
She is the dear sister of Ruth McGrath of Clearwater, FL, and Evelyn Hallen of Niles. She is the dear aunt of several nieces and nephews and close friend of Sue and Ralf Merkau and family of South Elgin.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Florence Colbaugh and a brother, Bror Johnson.
Memorial serivce will be held on Sunday, June 6, at 3:00 p.m. at the Bible Fellowship Church, 5333 151st St., Oak Forest, IL (708-535-0205). Laird Funeral Home, Elgin is in charge of arrangements. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.

Eileen Mae Beckman
Eileen Mae Beckman, 78, of Sycamore, passed away Monday, June 4, 2001 at the University of Illinois Medical Center in Chicago.
She was born Nov. 3, 1922 in Burlington, the daughter of George and Emma (Peplow) Schairer.
Eileen married Lloyd H. Beckman on Jan. 13, 1945 in Burlington. Mrs. Beckman received her teachers certificate from the Northern Illinois Teachers College and was a 4th grade teacher for the Burlington Elementary School for 24 years. She was also a member of the Burlington Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Lloyd; two sons, David (Sue Anne) Beckman of St. Charles and Daryl (Mickey) Beckman of Sycamore; three grandchildren, Angela Beckman, Robert and Karen Beckman; and a brother, Elmer Schairer of Sycamore.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Schairer.
Private Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday at the Fredrick Funeral Home, 284 Park St., Hampshire, the Rev. Soon Sun Lee of the Burlington Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Burlington Union cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made in her name to the Howard Thomas Elementary School in Burlington.

George Mac Donald Fehrmann
George Mac Donald Fehrmann, 85, of Elgin passed away Saturday, June 2, 2001 at Heritage Manor, Elgin.
He was born Nov. 9, 1915 in South Elgin, the son of John and Patricia Brown Fehrmann.
He was a retired Mortician from Reber Mortuary and Paint Salesman. Active in Christian Service Brigade at Elgin Bible Church. Former member of Elgin Toastmaster's club and served in the Army Medical Corps in the Pacific Theater in WWII.
Survivors include his wife, Lois, whom he married June 1, 1946; three children, Paul (Virginia) Gordon of Ohio, Kevin (Nancy) Mac Donald of California and Glenna Ma Fehrmann of Elgin; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann Fehrmann of Ohio; a sister, Louise Sevall of Wisconsin; two nephews, Jon Sevall of Wisconsin and Don Sevall of Texas; and several great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gordon; and a sister, Monetta Wahlberg.
Funeral Services will be 1 p.m., Friday in the Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park St., Elgin, the Rev. Phil Congdon officiating. Burial will be private in Bluff City cemetery, Elgin.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Elgin Bible Church.

Joanne Guthrie
Joanne Guthrie, age 47, of Elburn, passed away June 5, 2001 at Loyola Medical Center, Maywood, IL., where she had been in a coma since Wednesday, May 30 following a fall at her home.
Arrangements are being completed at Conley Funeral Home, Elburn, IL.

Betty A. Moll
Betty A. Moll, 62, of Rockford died Saturday, June 2, 2001 in O.S.F. St. Anthony Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 4, 1938 in Chicago, the daughter of Louis and Dorothy (Jarvis) Moll.
She lived three years in Rockford coming from Carpentersville.
Survivors include two brothers, Paul (Connie) Moll of Rockford and Richard (Pat) Moll of Madison, Wis.; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, and many special friends including those who were at the hospital day and night with Betty.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert.
Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 6, 2001 in St. Edward Catholic Church, 3026 11th St., Rockford, Fr. James R. Keenan officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Tuesday in Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine, Machesney Park, Ill.

Gail R. Patterman
Gail R. Patterman, 64, of Geneva, Illinois, passed away on Monday, June 4, 2001, at Delnor-Community Hospital in Geneva.
She was born May 15, 1937 in St. Charles, IL, the daughter of Jayne Benson (nee Berry) and the late Raymond Benson. Mrs. Patterman was a member of the United Methodist Church of Geneva where she was active in the church choir. She was employed for 14 years by the St. Charles School District as a librarian cataloger. She graduated from St. Charles High School and the College of DuPage with a degree in library science. Gail was active in the Geneva Community Chest, Women's Auxiliary of the former Geneva Community Hospital, Music Boosters, and the Sport Boosters.
Surviving are her husband, Ralph N.; two daughters, Lori (Tom) Hansen of Geneva and Lisa (Pete) Post of Shabbbona, IL; a sister, Kris (Frank) Johnson of Geneva; a brother, Jim (Marilyn) Benson of Hixson, TN; five grandchildren: Cody and Haylei Hansen; Lindsay, Lucas and Garrett Post; and a great-granddaughter, Vanessa.
She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m Friday, June 8, 2001, from the United Methodist Church of Geneva, 211 Hamilton St.; Rev. Melissa Early will officiate. Private burial for the family will be held Friday afternoon at Oak Hill cemetery, Geneva.
There will be no visitation.

Frederick E. Rickert
Frederick E. Rickert, age 67, of West Chicago, passed away Tuesday June 5, 2001 at Central DuPage Hospital. He was born March 3, 1934, the son of the late Edward and Elsa Rickert.
He is survived by his wife, Joan; daughter, Denise "Denni" (Jorge) Fuentes; son, James; and grandsons, Luis and Juan Fuentes.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be held Friday June 8, 2001 at The Countryside Funeral Home, with Rev. Chris Bell officiating. Burial will be in Wayne Township cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 7, 2001 from 3:00-9:00 PM at The Countryside Funeral Home, 950 South Bartlett Road. (at Stearn's Rd.), Bartlett, IL. (630)289-7575.

Albert F. Schmidt
Albert F. Schmidt, 81, of Elgin, Ill died Monday, June 4, 2001 at his home in Elgin.
He was born November 7, 1919 in Dundee, Ill, the son of Albert W. and Martha (nee Schumacher) Schmidt.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of Elgin V.F.W. Watch City Post # 1307 where he was the Commander from 1976 to 1977 and he was a member of Elgin's American Legion Post #57.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth (nee Allison) Schmidt, whom he married April 5, 1941; his son, Albert F. (Judith) Schmidt of Elgin; three grandchildren, Eric (Sandra) Schmidt of Crystal Lake, Ill, Suzanne (Anthony, Jr.) Lapano of Glen Ellyn and Jason (Christy) Schmidt of Elgin; his great grandson, Sean Lapano at home in Glen Ellyn.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Vernon; a sister, Ruth Miller; and an infant son, Larry Lee Roy in 1950.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, June 8, 2001 at Wait Ross Allanson Elgin Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Hannibal Frederich of St. John's Lutheran Church, Elgin officiating. Burial will be at Dundee Township cemetery-East.
Visitation will be on Thursday, June 7, 2001 from 4 to 8 PM at the funeral chapel.
Omission of flowers has been requested by the family.

Frances A. Stannard
Frances A. Stannard, 93, of Elgin, formerly of San Antonio, Texas, Elmwood Park and Chicago passed away Monday, June 4, 2001 in Provena St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin.
She was born Sept. 26, 1907 in Jasper, Texas, the daughter of Henry E. and Laura E. (Fagen) Trottie.
Survivors include five children, Ursula Weller and Willard (Suzette) Stannard, both of San Antonio, Texas, Stanley (Yvonne) Stannard and Mary Steen, both of Elgin and Betty (Jerry) Hattendorf of St. Charles; proud grandmother of 17; and great-grandmother of 11.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Doctor S. Lloyd Stannard in 1977, six sisters; and a brother.
Funeral services will be 7 p.m., Thursday in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin, the Rev. Michael Stadtmueller officiating. Burial will be in San Antonio, Texas.
Visitation will be held on Thursday starting at 5 p.m. until the time of services in the funeral home.
