Frank LaVallee, 65, died Thursday, June 6, 2002 in Victorville, CA.
Born in South Bend, IN and a former resident of Streamwood, IL, he loved sailing and was a member of the United States Power Squadron.
He is survived by his wife, Marianne; sons, Michael, John (Marueen), Thomas (Rene); and daughters, Lynn (Greg) Maund and Katie (John) Uidl; stepsons, Christopher Waters and Greg Waters; step daughter, Lorrie (Bill) Null; and 15 grandchildren.
Services will be held June 13, 2002 at 7 PM at St. Hillary's Episcopal Church, 11305 Hesperia Road, Hesperia, CA, 92345.
Donald Paul Godfrey
Donald Paul Godfrey, age 58, of St. Charles, died Sunday, June 8, 2003 at Delnor-Community Hospital in Geneva, IL. He was born June 29, 1944 in Geneva, IL to Ralph and Wilma Godfrey.
Don was a member of St. John Neumann Church. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was an avid outdoorsman and truly enjoyed watching his children grow up and playing in various sporting events.
Don is survived by his wife of 27 years, Mary Kay, three children, Jeff, Brad and Kristen Godfrey all of St. Charles, his mother, Wilma of St. Charles, three brothers, Jerry (Sherry) of St. Charles, Gene of St. Charles and Dennis of Sycamore and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph in 1998.
Funeral mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 11 at St. John Neumann Church, 2900 East Main Street, St. Charles. Msgr. Robert B. Hoffmann officiating. Burial will be in Union cemetery in St. Charles, IL. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3-8 p.m. at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 East Main Street, St. Charles with a liturgical wake service at 7:30 p.m.
Charles Louis Schild
Charles Louis Schild, 79, of Elgin, IL died Saturday, June 7, 2003 at Sherman Hospital Elgin after a long battle with Leukemia.
He was born October 1, 1923 in Ludington, Michigan to Peter and Margaret (Shivley) Schild.
Charles was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during World War II. He retired after 40 years at McGraw Edison/Toastmaster, rising to National Service Manager, the last 10 years employed by Suitmate, South Elgin, he had been a long-time resident of Lake-in-the-Hills and Crystal Lake, spending the last 15 years at Willow Lake Estates in Elgin. He was a member of Algonquin/Lake in the Hills VFW Post #10779, American Legion of Algonquin Post #670, Willow Lake Social Club and Bowling League, he was a past member of "Lake-in-the-Hills" Lions Club and former Village Trustee of Lake in the Hills and an avid lifelong suffering White Sox fan.
Survivors include his son, Gary (Mary) Schild of Shorewood, IL; his daughter, Kathi (Ron) Comm of Barrington; his sisters, Dolores Rahter of Columbiana, Ohio, Renee (John) Dufon of Dorr, MI; grandchildren, Jennifer, Michael and Cory Schild and Bradley Comm; his special friend, Delores "Dee" McCoy of Elgin; a sister-in-law, Barbara (Larry) Buchanan of Bloomingdale; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Vera Colleen (May) Schild, whom he married
in 1950 and who preceded him in 1990.
Funeral and burial will be private at Maplewood cemetery in New Lenox, Illinois.
Memorials in his name may be made to the Leukemia Society or to the American Kidney Foundation.

Lawrence W. Dumproff "Larry"
Lawrence W. "Larry" Dumproff, 58, of St. Charles died Monday, June 7, 2004 at Delnor Hospital in Geneva. He was born January 21, 1946 in Elgin to Albert W. and Flora (nee Austin) Dumproff. He was an Air Force Veteran.
Lawrence is survived by his wife, Susan (nee Ace) Dumproff; his two daughters, Emily Lyn and Katie Ann of St. Charles; his two sisters, Alice (Bill) Sullivan of Mississippi and Kay (John) Siebler of Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be on Friday, June 11, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Hosanna Lutheran Church on Crane and Randall Roads in St. Charles. Rev. Barry Scott will officiate. Burial is Private. Visitation will be on Thursday in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee from 5-8 p.m. and in church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Memorials may be made to the family.
Paula M. (Wiedermann) Hodgson
Paula M. (Wiedermann) Hodgson, 57, of Naperville, died Saturday, June 5, 2004 at home after a long and courageous battle against Huntington's Disease.
An RN, she was born in Elgin, Illinois, and was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter T. Wiedemann and her brother, Charlie Wiedemann.
Paula is survived by her devoted husband of 30 years, Dave Hodgson, and she was a loving, caring mother to John, Kate, Sarah, and Emily Hodgson, also of Naperville. She was the sister of Jessie Wiedemann-Diaz of Ottumwa, Iowa and James and Joseph Wiedemann. She was an aunt to several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held Juen 27, 2004, at St. Luke's Presbyterian Church, 3910 Highland Ave., Downers Grove, IL at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her name be directed to The Huntington's Disease Society of America- Illinois Chapter, P.O. Box 8383, Rolling Meadows, IL 60008.
Robert "Bob" Mack
Cherry Valley, IL Robert "Bob" Mack of Rockford died June 6, 2004 at his home.
Born March 5, 1938 in Slatington, PA to Norman and LaRue (France) Mack. married Roberta O'Neill, December 2, 1976. Served as a Paratrooper in Germany, 1957 until 1959. Member of the Moose Lodge #799, Mason's 32, Scottich Rites and Shiners.
Survivors include wife; son, Steven Mack of Rockford; brother, Donald Mack of PA and nephews, David, Donald and Daniel.
Predeceased by parents and daughter, Candace in December 1979.

Loretta C. Schnaubelt (nee Breen)
Loretta C. Schnaubelt, formerly of Elgin, IL, died peacefully in her home in So. Burlington, Vermont on Feb. 10, 2004 after a brief illness. She was born in Chicago on September 10, 1910 to Michael and Victoria Lohmiller Breen.
She graduated Chicago Teachers College and Loyola University, and taught second grade for eight years, and English Literature at Nazareth Academy in LaGrange Park, IL. She particularly liked reading French and tutoring French students. She was a member of St. Thomas More Parish in Elgin, IL from 1971 to 1997. Loretta was an avid aviator as well as a teacher and homemaker. She began flying in 1933, became a licensed pilot in 1935, and was one of the early members of the National Women Pilots Association, the Ninety-nines. Her husband was a barn stormer and airline pilot, and they both belonged to the OX-5 Club of Illinois. Together they raised their family with frequent excursions into the sky in single engine planes, giving the children a special bird's eye perspective on life. He son is a retired airline pilot, and her daughter is a teacher, married
to a teacher. Three of her grandchildren are pilots. Three are educators. Loretta found many new friends in Vermont, and she relished her annual tours over Vermont in a Cessna 172, including last Fall's celebration of her 93rd birthday. She passes on her zest for life, her enthusiasm for learning, and her love of family and friends to all who knew her.
She is survived by her son, John and his wife Beth, of Lake Geneva, WI, and by her daughter Ann Earle, and her husband Peter, of Richmond, VT, and by 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
She was preceded by her husband of 56 years, Jack Schnaubelt, in 1993, by a daughter Kathleen in 1982, and a son James in 1993.
A funeral mass was held in So. Burlington, VT on Thursday Feb. 12, 2004. Friends are welcome to join the family for an interment service at the River Valley Memorial Gardens in West Dundee, Illinois on June 23, 2004, at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may go to Hospice of the Champlain Valley VNA, 1110 Prim Road, Colchester, VT 05446.
Herman J. Born
Herman J. Born, 85, of Elgin passed away Monday, June 4, 2001 in Elgin.
He was born March 28, 1916 in Elgin, the son of Herman and Emelia Born.
He had been a resident of Elgin all of his life. He was a graduate of Elgin High School Class of 1934. He had been employed by Ackemann's Dept. Store in Elgin starting 1945 and worked there until the stores closing and was Interior Designer and Department Manager before retiring. He was a veteran of WW II serving in the U.S. Army in the European Theatre including the Battle at Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Elgin. He was active with the Channing St. YMCA with the Building Committee and Youth Programs. He started the Senior's exercise program which he faithfully attended for over 30 years. He was one of the founders of the Anderson Animal Shelter in May of 2001 for his devoted work the shelter named in his honor the new Veterinarians Clinic. As an animal lover he was a member of the Kerry Blue Terrier Club, Chicago and its parent New York for 50 years. He showed, groomed and judged for the Kerry Blue Terrier Club.
Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Tyler Born, whom he married
on Feb. 14, 1948; several nieces and nephews; and his special calico cat, "Calley".
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers; and four sisters.
Memorial Services will be 7 p.m., Monday in the First Presbyterian Church, Elgin, the Rev. Peter Boeve officiating. Burial will be private in Bluff City cemetery, Elgin.
There will be no visitation. Laird Funeral Home, Elgin is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Elgin, The Anderson Animal Shelter or the charity of your choice.
Vivian Davenport
Vivian Davenport, 88, of Elgin, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2001 in Asta Care Center, Elgin.
She was born August 29, 1912 in Iowa.
She was member of the AmericanLegion Auxillary for over 50 years and volunteered for various projects throughout the years. Member of Elgin Senior Center.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol Heckman of Florida; a sister, LaVaun Conro of Elgin; a brother, William(Marjorie) Cole of Arizona; and six grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen; and a daughter, Norma Jean Ross; and a sister, Arlene Panzer.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 13, 2001 at Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park St., Elgin. Burial will be in Bluff City cemetery, Elgin.
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m., Tuesday in the funeral home.
Mable G. Lamp
Mabel G. Lamp, 84, of Elgin passed away Saturday, June 9, 2001 in Provena St. Joseph Hospital.
She was born September 10, 1916 in Benton, Illinois, the daughter of Robert and Margaret (Gamblin) Cohoon.
Mable married
LaVere Lamp on November 2, 1946 of Elgin and resided here ever since. She was very active with the Sybaquay Girl Scout Council, involved with the camping program and the recipient of the Juliette Low Statuette and the Thanks Badge for outstanding volunteerism. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Elgin, a past member of the Senior Regent of the Woman's Loyal Order of the Moose #799, past member of the Ladies of the Elks of Elgin, a past member of the Eagle's Club and a past member of the Provena St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary.
Survivors include two daughters, Karin (Brad) Jacobson of Hampton, New Hampshire and Sally (Bruce) Crawford of Hampshire, IL; and two grandchildren, Collin Jacobson and Leigh Crawford.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, LaVere Lamp in 1981; four brothers; and four sisters.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 1 PM in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin with Rev. Robert Linstrom officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday starting at 12 Noon until the time of services in the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Elgin.
