Clem "Pete" Ramey
Clem "Pete" Ramey, 81, of South Elgin passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at Alderwood Care Center, South Elgin. He was born February 20, 1923 in Meiear, Texas, the son of Audie and Annie Jones Ramey. He had been a resident of the Elgin area since 1957 and had been employed at the Elgin Sweeper Co. before retiring in 1985.
He was a member of Calvary Pentecostal Church, St. Charles.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Barbara Graff Ramey; his sister, Daisy Blair; and his brother, Claudie Ramey.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 18 at 1:00 p.m. at Wait Ross Allanson Funeral and Cremation Services, Elgin Chapel with Pastor Rick Wheeler officiating. Burial will be private in Bluff City cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

Sophie F. Farve
Sophie F. Farve, 58, died Friday, June 15, 2001 while sleeping at her home.
She was born on October 15, 1942 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Azia and Martha Husen.
Prior to retiring she worked for 25 years at the Sears Service Center in Schaumburg, IL. She is preceded in death by her parents; and a granddaughter, Ashley.
She is survived by a son, Jesse (Jennifer) Farve of Machesney Park, IL; a daughter, Mrs. Dawn (Jorge) Ramirez of Rochelle, IL; a sister, Mrs. Lillian (Bob) Schamne of Belvedere, IL; and eight grandchildren, Adam, Zachary, Brandy, Amber, Megan, Michael, Jesse Jr., and Kalah.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, June 23, 2001 at the Unger Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle with Pastor Scott Hawes officiating.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
Adrienne M. Wescott
Adrienne M. Wescott, 59, of Elgin passed away Sunday, June 17, 2001 in her home.
She was born August 15, 1941 in Chicago, the daughter of Edward and Loretta Massion.
She is survived by her husband, Larry; a son, Richard (Dee Dee) Carlson of Modesto, CA; a sister, Bette (Don) Greer of Hampshire, IL; a brother, Ray (Suzanne) Massion of Hampshire; two grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and many special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 19, 2001 at 10 AM in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin with the Rev. Dominic Cassidy officiating. Burial will be in River Valley Memorial Gardens, West Dundee.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 4 to 8 PM in the funeral home.
Lora M. Anderson
Lora M. Anderson, 82, of Elgin, passed away Monday, June 16, 2003 in Oregon, Illinois.
She was born March 3, 1921 in Barrington, the daughter of the late George and Marie (Jahnke) Reuter.
She was a life long resident of the Dundee-Elgin area, had worked for Sears Roebuck and Company in Elgin, Spring Hill Mall for years, elgin Watch and as a hostess at the milkpail.
She is survived by a daughter, Susan Anderson of Pasadena, California; a son, Richard (Carol) Anderson of Oregon, Illinois; grandchildren, Peter and Anderson of Oregon, Illinois; four sisters, Mabel Harmening and Irene (Albert) Blaschke of Arizona, Helen Vallario of California, Ruth (Alfred) Murphy of Illinois; six brothers, William Reuter and Leroy (Shirley) Reuter of Illinois, Raymond (Verna) Reuter of Wisconsin, Eugene (Linda) Reuter of Missouri, Walter (Ruby) Reuter of Illinois and Leonard (Sue) Teuter of Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Leroy J. Anderson on March 21, 2002.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Friday in the Miller Funeral Home, 504 West Main Street, West Dundee with the Rev. Harry Bartlett officiating. Interment in Dundee Township cemetery, East Dundee, Illinos.

Pamela K. Baker
Pamela K. Baker, 45 of Burlington passed away Sunday, June 15, 2003 at Loyola Medical Center, Maywood. She was born June 6, 1958 in Elgin, the daughter of Donald and Karen Irps Pelletier. She had been a resident of the Elgin area all her life. She was a graduate of Elgin High School, Class of 1976, Elgin Community College and Northern Illinois University. She was a Registered Nurse and had been employed by ENA Emergency Nurses Association, Sherman Hospital, Elgin and Rockford Memorial Hospital. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Elgin and loved antiqueing.
Surviving are her husband, Mike Baker whom she married
on May 17, 1980; a daughter, Jennifer Baker of Burlington; her parents, Donald and Karen Pelletier of South Padre Island, Texas; a sister, Megan Seifert of West Dundee; two brothers, Brent (Mary) Pelletier of Flower Mound, Texas and Todd Pelletier of Flower Mound, Texas; nephews and niece, Brandon Pelletier, Chelsea Pelletier, Mason Seifert, David and Chris Majchrowicz; a sister-in-law, Marge (Mike) Majchrowicz of Eagle River, Alaska; mother-in-law, Martha Baker of Huntley.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her father-in-law, Robert Baker.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2003 at 11 AM at Laird Funeral Home, Elgin with Rev. Roger Pollock officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4 PM to 9 PM and Wednesday from 10 AM until the time of services in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Jennifer Baker Education Fund.
Delores "Ann" Cummings
Delores "Ann" Cummings, 72, of Elgin, formerly a longtime resident of St. Charles, died Sunday, June 15, 2003 in Sycamore. At the time of her death she was being lovingly cared for at the home of her daughter Debrah and son-in-law David Bloch.
She was born April 23, 1931, in Elgin, the daughter of Russell and Bertha (Leetzow) Bird.
On July 16, 1948, Ann married
William A. Cummings, Sr. They made their home in St. Charles where they raised their family. Ann had been a member of Women of the Moose, Chapter #512 in St. Charles since 1964. In 1996, she retired from the Butler Corporation in Elgin to be at home to care for her mother-in-law, Augusta Cummings.
Ann is survived by her children, Francis (Connie) Cummings of Morton, IL, William Cummings, Jr. of Markham, IL, Robert (Connie) Cummings of Lansing, KS, Donald (Debbie Rarrat) Cummings of Hazelcrest, IL, Debrah (David) Bloch of Sycamore, IL, Catherine (William) Mundt of Waco, GA, Cynthia (James) Littledale of Elgin; her grandchildren, Crystal DeBurkarte, Jeannie, Julie and Kristen Cummings, Kelly (Ray) Payne, Todd (Amanda) Long, Alyssa and Nicole Bloch, Laura (Kelby) Deas, Scott (Jill) Mundt, Daniel Mundt, Eleanor (Michael) Clark, William (Arianne) Cummings III, Charles Cummings, Ralph and Russell Kerns, Robert Cummings Jr., April (Aaron) Woolven, Crystal, Kelsea, David, Michael, Amanda and Ashley Cummings, James Grocke, Jeffrey, Jessica and Jillian Littledale; nineteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, David (Eleanor) Bird of Aberdien, MD and Russell Bird of Elgin; two sisters, Betty Whitmere of Hawaii and Dorothy Quinn of Texas.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William in 1985; an infant son; a grandson, Francis David Cummings Jr.; sisters Peggy Bush and Geraldine Heath; a brother, Donald Bird.
A visitation for Mrs. Cummings will be held Friday, June 20, 2003 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Norris Funeral Home, 100 S. Third St., St. Charles, IL 60174. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m., also at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lakewood Memorial Park, Elgin, IL.

Blanche N. Ettner
Blanche N. Ettner, 93, of DeKalb, formerly of Elgin, died Sunday, June 15, 2003 at the Rockford Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 7, 1910 in Prairie Grove, AR, the daughter of William O. and Fannie (Brooks) West.
She married
Gordon Ettner on May 19, 1932 in Arkansas. They spent 61 years together.
Blanche was a cashier for Ackemann's and Town & Country Women's Dress Shop in Elgin. She was a member of the Sherman Hospital Auxiliary and the Faith United Methodist Church in Elgin. She did volunteer work and was the Head Librarian at the Oak Crest Retirement Center in DeKalb until the age of 90. Blanche loved to read, do crossword puzzles and enjoyed sewing.
She is survived by two daughters, Gail (Ronald) Schabacker of Rochelle and Le Anne McCathren of Spokane, WA; five grandchildren, Amy (Ken) Bartle of Oswego, Mark Schabacker of Rochelle, Lisa (Rick) Hosmer, Jason (Michelle) McCathren and Kim McCathren all of Spokane, WA; eight great grandchildren, Abby and Autumn Bartle, Brendan, Amanda, Brooke and Callie Hosmer, Aubrey and Miles McCathren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1993; a granddaughter; two sisters, Madge Sharp and Josephine Halier.
There will be a Graveside Service on Saturday, June 21 at 11:45 AM at Lakewood cemetery in Elgin. Then a Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM Saturday at the Oak Crest Retirement Center Chapel, 2944 Greenwood Acres Dr. in DeKalb. A luncheon will follow.

William Lee Haggard
William Lee Haggard, 70, of Elgin, IL, died Tuesday, June 17, 2003 at Sherman Hospital, Elgin.
He was born February 23, 1933 in Winner, SD to Elmer C. and Verna L. (Stolenberg) Haggard.
William had served in the Navy, as a fighter pilot, serving on the aircraft carriers, USS Ticonderaga and the USS Bennington, William then joined United Airlines serving then as a 747 Captain retiring after 33 years.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra (Levar) Haggard; three sons, Scott (Nancy), Eric and Paul (Diane) all of Elgin; two daughters, Gale (Rod) Glover of California, Karen Haggard of Elgin; two brothers, Marvin and Tom Haggard both of California and Karen Haggard of Elgin; two brothers, Marvin and Tom Haggard both of California. 15 grandchildren; and a great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his grandson, Ryan Hagged.
Memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2003 at 7 PM at the Wait Ross Allanson Elgin Chapel with Rev. Edward Seisser officiating.
The family will greet friends and relatives after 6 PM at the chapel until the services at seven PM.

Ruth M. Johnston
Ruth M. Johnston, 74, of Carpentersville passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2003 at the Provena St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin.
She was born in Chicago, July 21, 1928.
She was a 35 year resident of the Carpentersville area.
Survivors include her children, Donna (Thomas) Cabula of Yorkville, IL, Barbara A. (Eddy) Hernandez of Carpentersville and Glenn (Barbara) Johnston of Texas; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a sister, Grace Berger of Mundelein.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George Johnston; and a brother.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 18, 2003 from 4 to 8 PM in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee.
Services and interment are private.
