Priscilla Fae Reel
Priscilla Fae Reel, 53 of Elgin passed away Sunday, June 23, 2002 in Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield. She was born December 11, 1948 in Elgin and was the daughter of Delmer and Bernieta Reel.
Member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Elgin.
Surviving are her parents of Elgin; two sisters, Christine (Daniel) Reneau of Fishers, IN and Susan (Brett) Wolfe of Elgin; one niece, Laura (Brady) Genz of Indianapolis, IN; one nephew, Patrick Wolfe of Vienna, VA.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. in Washington Reformed Presbyterian cemetery, Highland Ave., Rd., Elgin with Dr. Robert Kasper officiating. There will be no visitation. Laird Funeral Home in Elgin is in charge of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Marklund Charities, 290 Town Center, Glendale Heights, IL 60139.

Edith V. Douglas
Edith V. Douglas, 84, of Elgin passed away Monday, June 25, 2001 in Sherman West Court, Elgin.
She was born Feb. 11, 1917 in Maple Park, the daughter of Harry and Mattie Nelson Freeland.
She had been a resident of Elgin since 1952.
Survivors include three daughters, Dorothy (Chelsie) Williams of Kentucky, Joyce (Robert) Leatherby and Cynthia (Mark) Knapp, both of Elgin; six grandchildren, Peggy (Dennis) Fetting, Connie (Michael) Norton, Michael (Jennifer) Leatherby, Julie Leatherby, Scott and Stephen Knapp; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; three sisters; and two brothers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward E. on May 5, 1988; and a brother.
Funeral services will be 7 p.m., Wednesday in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin. Burial will be private in River Valley Memorial Gardens, West Dundee.
Visitation will be 4 p.m., Wednesday until the time of services in the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.

William "Buffalo" Eggen
William "Buffalo" Eggen, 53, of Schaumburg passed away Monday, June 25, 2001 in his home.
He was born July 2, 1947 in Elgin, the son of Floyd and Virginia WasingerEggen.
He served in the US Army during Vietnam.
Survivors include his parents; his wife, Mary; little faithful companion "Gretchen"; and a sister, Mary Kay (Ken) Blumenstock of Marion.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and a brother, Terry.
Funeral Services will be 10 a.m., Friday in the Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park St., Elgin, the Rev. Thomas Niermannofficiating. Burial will be in Bluff City cemetery, Elgin.
Visitation will be 4-9 p.m., Thursday in the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the family.

Jerry R. Hayward
Jerry R. Hayward, 91, of Elgin passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2001 in Sherman Hospital, Elgin.
He was born September 3, 1909 in Fennimore, WI, the son of William and Nellie Mae Oleson Hayward.
He had been a resident of the Elgin and Geneva areas since 1914. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U. S. Army as an instructor at the Armored Replacement Training Center, Ft. Knox, KY.
Jerry and his wife, Gladys, were the co-owners of the Original Geneva Industries in Geneva. They were then associated with the Late Robert Alexander, a major housing developer, managing the sales of over 2700 new homes in Streamwood. Hayward Avenue in Streamwood is named for Jerry and Gladys. He was a member of American Legion Post 57 in Elgin and he was an avid expert fisherman.
Surviving are his wife, Gladys Ehrp Hayward, whom he married on October 5, 1935; a son, William E. (Elizabeth) Hayward of Portland, Oregon; two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Heather; a brother, Virgil A. (Mabel) Hayward of Elgin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Helen Mae Hayward, Vera Hayward Schutte and Dorothy Hayward Rover; and a brother, Charles W. Hayward.
Memorial Services will be held Friday, June 29, 2001 at 11 AM in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin with Rev. Sung Ja Moon officiating. Burial will be private in Bluff City cemetery. Visitation will be at the time of services only.

Edward P. Istok
Edward P. Istok, 85, died Tuesday, June 26, 2001 in Sherman Hospital, Elgin.
He was born Aug. 27, 1915, the son of Stephen and Teofila Istok.
Survivors include two sons, James E. Istok and Robert J. (Joyce) Istok, both of Elgin; three grandchildren, Jacque Istok, Eisa Istok and Sarah Istok; two brothers, Fr. Adolph Istok C.R. and Steve Istok; and a sister, Theresa (I. Frank)Brzezinski.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marie; two brothers; and a sister.
Funeral Services will be 10 a.m., Saturday in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Fr. Edward Seisser officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael the Archangel cemetery.
Visitation will be 3-9 p.m., Friday in the O'Connor and Homeier Funeral Home, Elgin.
Memorials may be made to Knights of Columbus or St. Mary's Catholic Church.

James A. Klink
James A. Klink, 73, of Byron, died Sunday, June 24, 2001 in Swedish-American Hospital, Rockford.
Born July 7, 1927 in Crystal Lake, the son of John A. and Marie (Schroeder) Klink.
Married to Betty Manley September 5, 1953 in Elgin. He was a U. S. Air Force veteran and had been employed by Commonwealth Edison for 42 years, retiring in 1987. He was a past member of the Elgin JayCees and a member of No-Pi-Ming Hunting and Fishing Club in Hayward, WI, Byron Lions Club and was 1990 Byron Citizen of the Year. He was a member of All Saints' Lutheran Church of Byron and had been a member of the church council.
Survived by his wife, Betty of Byron; a son, David (Nancy) Klink of Byron; daughters, Janice Klink of Chicago and Lynda (Bryan) Langford of Montego Bay, Jamaica; and grandchildren, Lindsay and Ryan Klink and Deryck and Evan Langford.
preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Roger.
Services will be held at 2 PM Thursday, June 28, 2001 in All Saints' Lutheran Church, Byron with Rev. William Nelson, Pastor, officiating.
Visitation will be from 1 PM Thursday until time of services in the church.
Memorials may be made to All Saints' Lutheran Church Building Fund or the American Diabetes Association.
Arrangements were made by Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, Byron.

Herbert E. Schnadt
Herbert E. Schnadt, 100, of Richland Center, WI, formerly of Bartlett, IL passed away Monday, June 25, 2001 at his residence at Schmitt Woodland Hills.
Herbert was born in Illinois on September 7, 1900, the son of Herman and Caroline Thurnau Schnadt.
Herbert married the former Alice Olhaber and she preceded him in death in 1981. Herbert was Vice-President of the Bartlett State Bank for many years.
Survivors include a son, Glenn (Mary) Schnadt of Viola, WI; three grandchildren, Tom (Jonelle) Schnadt of St. Paul, MN, Sara Schnadt of Minneapolis, MN and Ann (David) Hallberg of Hebron, IN; three great grandchildren, Gwen, Katie and Dan Hallberg; a sister, Estella Schnadt of Richland Center, WI.
Memorial Services will be held at the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Bartlett, IL on Thursday, June 28, 2001 at 2 PM with Rev. Ed Zager and Rev Ted Preuss officiating. Burial will be in the Lakewood Memorial Park cemetery in Elgin, IL on Thursday, June 28, 2001 at 1 PM.
Memorials may be made to the Immanuel United Church of Christ, Bartlett, IL.

Ambrose H. Seyller
Ambrose H. Seyller, 79, of Hampshire passed away Saturday, June 23, 2001 in Elgin.
He was born July 28, 1921 in Burlington, the son of Walter W. and Marie K. (Weber) Seyller. He was a graduate of Burlington High School and enlisted in the Army in 1942, attaining the rank of First Lieutenant in the 109th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Unit. This Unit participated in the Invasion of Normandy, the Battle of the Bulge, and the release of the prisoners at the Dachau Concentration Camp. Following the service, he married Rita Rose Schiesher on January 14, 1948 at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Hampshire.
Ambrose operated a dairy farm for over 50 years and was a longtime sales representative for Pioneer Seed Corn, a lifetime member of the FFA Alumni, and a member of the Kane County Farm Bureau.
Mr Seyller was an active member of the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, serving as President of the Pastoral Council and in several other capacities. He was also a member of the Catholic Order of Forrester's, the American Legion Post #680, and the VFW Post @8043 all of Hampshire.
Ambrose loved to travel and spend time with his children and grandchildren. During his travels he was able to revisit the beach at Normandy and other battlefield sites in Europe, he received an award from the President of Luxembourg in appreciation of the liberation of Luxembourg.
Surviving are his wife, Rita; his children, Mary (Rick) Kastning of Malone, WI, Sandy (John) Eberly and Peg Thompson both of Hampshire, Walter "Hap" (Deborah) of Kingston, Joseph (Sandy) and Dan (Deb) both of Hampshire, Patricia (Bill) Maynard of Huntley, Ambrose, Jr. (Shelley) of Elgin, Paul of Geneseo and John (Lisa) of Hampshire; a sister, Veronica Yurs of Hampshire; his grandchildren, Kristine Waldschmidt, Laura and Matthew Kastning, Kelli and Danna Eberly, Gordon, Robbie and Jason Thompson, Sherry Busche and Karla Martinez, Chad Seyller (serving in the Marine Corps), Michelle and Timothy Seyller, Bill, Ron and Jim Seyller, Jennifer and Heather Maynard, Hannah and Halle Seyller, Kayla Seyller, Sarah Karman and Amber Rose Seyller; great grandchildren, Cody Waldschmidt, Tyler and Ashley Busche, Denetra and Draven Seyller, and three foreign exchange students from Norway, Espen Solnordal, Bjorn Holje and Mona Solvang.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandchildren, Amy Lynn Kastning and David William Maynard.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Wednesday, June 27, 2001 at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 297 E. Jefferson St., Hampshire with the Rev. Thomas E. Brantman officiating. Burial will be in the St. Charles Borromeo cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 PM Tuesday at the Fredrick Funeral Home, 284 Park St., Hampshire with Rosary at 3:15 PM.
Memorials may be made in his name to the Ambrose H. Seyller Memorial Fund (to benefit St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church) C/O Fredrick Funeral Home, P. O. Box 445, Hampshire, 60140.

Janet L. Zange
Janet L. Zange, 61, of Algonquin, IL passed away on Monday, June 25, 2001 at Loyola University Medical Center.
She leaves behind her most devoted and beloved husband, James R. Zange; three daughters, Kelly (James) Saelens of Aberdeen, Ohio, Karen (Michael) Ells of Lombard, Illinois and Kristy (David) Huddleston of Algonquin, Illinois; a step daughter, Beth Zange of Denver, Colorado; five beloved grandchildren, Madison (the gymnast), Riley (MJ) Saelens, Cassady (toddler) Ells, Brandon (hockey player) and Alec (the swimmer) Huddleston; her mother, Anna Rozzi Ruther of Crystal Lake, Illinois; and a sister, Bernadine Molson who live in Canada.
She was preceded in death by her father, Hubert Ruther, who passed away in 1994.
Mrs. Zange graduated from St. Patrick's Academy and Momence Community High School. She graduated from Eastern Illinois University and taught in the Illinois school system for ten years. She later retired after working 20 years for an Engineering firm in Elgin, Illinois.
Since retirement, Mrs. Zange has been a volunteer at the Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Interfaith Food Pantry and with the 'Lend A Heart' service group of St. Margaret Mary Church also in Algonquin, Illinois of which she has been a member of for 29 years. She was also a member of the church choir. She has been a member of the Algonquin Women's Club and the Friends and Neighbors Club.
Jan, as called by her friends, always told her friends not to wait until they retired to do the things they had always wanted to do. She told them to do them while they were young enough to be able to do and enjoy them. She also said to love your family with all your heart and to let them know that you love them.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3 to 9 PM at the Wait Ross Allanson Funeral Parlor in Algonquin. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 28, 2001 at 10 AM at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Algonquin with Father Michael Tierney officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Aplastic Anemia and MDS Foundation, Inc., P.O. Box 587, Annapolis, Maryland, 21404-0613.
