Terry L. Saxe
Terry L. Saxe, 57 of Elgin passed away Sunday, July 4, 2004 at St. Anthony Medical Center, Rockford. She was born November 18, 1946 in Point Pleasant, NJ, the daughter of Earl and Joyce Woodruff Saxe. She was employed as a Nurse at Sears in Hoffman Estates.
Surviving are her three sons, Joseph (Lollie) Steinke of Marengo, Carry "Ben" Steinke of Elgin, Marshall (Natasha) Steinke of Cherry Valley, IL; two grandchildren, Lexi and Lynsey Steinke; her mother, Joyce Saxe of State College, PA; three sisters, Judith (Charles) Schneider of Kankakee, Peggy (Allan) LaFond of Kankakee, and Becky (Harry) Littell of California; one brother, David (Laura) Saxe of State College, PA.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 9 at 11:00 a.m. at Wait Ross Allanson Funeral & Cremation Services, Elgin, with Rev. Jeffrey Suits officiating. Burial will be in Arlington cemetery, Rockford, Illinois. Visitation will be held Thursday, from 4 to 9 p.m. in the funeral home.
Henry J. Trinkhorn
Henry J. Trinkhorn, 84, of Bartlett, formerly of Elgin, passed away Monday, July 5, 2004 at St. Alexius Hospital. He was born June 26, 1920 in Carpentersville, IL.
Mr. Trinkhorn was a member of the VFW of Bartlett.
Survivors include his daughter, Shurley (Al) Ruth Becker; eight grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura (nee King) Trinkhorn and a daughter, Sylvia (Harold) Roth Gunther.
Visitation will be on Thursday, July 8, 2004 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett (at Stearns Rd.), Bartlett. Military service will be at 8:30 p.m. Cremation will be private.

Charles E. "Chuck" Wuthrich
Charles E. "Chuck" Wuthrich, 74, of Galena, IL, formerly of Elgin died Friday, July 2, 2004 at University of Wisconsin Hospital, Madison, WI, from injuries received in an accident at his home on Friday. He was born on September 14, 1929 in Palaski, IA, the son of Alex and Katie (Strahm) Wuthrich.
Mr. Wuthrich married
Adair Kellenberger on November 7, 1953 in Morris, MN. They just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. He graduated from Elgin High School and was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a member fo B.P.O.E. Lodge #882 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #952 of Galena. He owned and operated a TV repair shop before starting Aqua Camper Corp., building houseboats in Galena. He was an avid gun enthusiast and reloader. He loved the outdoors, boating, hunting, fixing and repairing, tinkering and Chuckersized. He was a loving husband and father and enjoyed his grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife, Adair Wuthrich; three children, Diane (Keven) Gross of Nevada City, CA, Linda (Ron) Winter of Galena, IL, and Dan (Denise) Wuthrich of Aurora, IL; eight grandchildren, Kari and Nick, Michelle, Kate, Sam, Luke, Zack, and Katie; one sister, Julie Messner of Winthrop, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the Miller and Steinke Funeral Home, Galena, IL. Visitation was held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Beth A. Ferguson
Beth A. Ferguson, age 90, of Tucson, Arizona passed away Friday, June 29, 2001 at St. Joseph Hospital in Tucson, Arizona.
She was born May 11, 1911 in Chicago, Illinois to George and Mary Iten Allen.
Mrs. Ferguson graduated from Savanna Township High School in 1929 and attended Chicago Normal School of Physical Education in Chicago, Illinois. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois and her Master's from the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado. Mrs. Ferguson was a Physical Education Teacher in Savanna, Illinois and in Elgin, where she retired in 1968 as Department Chairman of Girls' Health and Physical Education.
Mrs. Ferguson is survived by a son, John "Jack" Cotter (Mary Kay Beacon) of Casper, Wyoming; a daughter-in-law, Dorothy M. Haorn of DeKalb, Illinois; two grandchildren, Steven Mark Ferguson of Conover, North Carolina and Jeffrey Allen (Ellen) Ferguson of Greer, South Caroline; two great-grandchildren, Emily Ann and Austin Ferguson; a sister, Ruth (Edward) Shafer of Aurora, Illinois and a cousin, Barbara (Dr. Ian) West of Elgin, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by a son, Allen Cotter Ferguson in 1963; two brothers, Clarence R. "Tubby" Allen and George Allen and a sister, Barbara Walshire.
Memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 11 at Yurs Funeral Home, St. Charles, Illinois. Rev. Joy Meyers officiating. Interment will be in Union cemetery, St. Charles, Illinois. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Veteran of Foreign Wars.
Margaret Harper
Margaret Harper, 79 of Elgin passed away Friday, July 6, 2001 at Pine Acres Care Center of DeKalb. She was born August 26, 1921 the daughter of Clayton and Harriett Holderness.
Survivors include dear Friends James and Alvera Sitzes of Sycamore.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Private services will be held Monday, July 9, 2001 at the Stout-Madison Funeral Home in Elgin. Burial is private and there will be no visitation.

Lucille M. Higgins
Lucille M. Higgins of Elgin passed away Saturday, July 7, 2001 in Sherman Hospital, Elgin.
She was born in Elgin, the daughter of William and Florence Fohrman Zierke.
She had been a resident of Elgin and South Elgin all of her life. She was employed by Illinois Bell Telephone Co. for 30 years before retiring. She was a member of Illinois Bell Pioneers.
Surviving are a daughter, Linda (Charles) Dishroon of South Elgin; three grandchildren, Christina (James) Colborn of South Elgin, Brian (Keri) Dishroon of South Elgin and Gary Dishroon of South Elgin; a step granddaughter, Robin (Robert) Fogel of Gurnee; a great grandson, Andrew Dishroon; two sisters, Betty (Orval) Volkening of Elgin and Janice McLaughlin of Marengo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Higgins in 1981; and a brother, Robert Zierke.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 10 at 1 PM in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin with Chaplain Richard Gilbert officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park, Elgin.
Visitation will be held Monday from 4 to 8 PM in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
Nicholas J. Librande, Jr.
Nicholas J. Librande, Jr., 75, of Carpentersville, died Thursday, July 5, at his home.
He was born April 22, 1926 in Minot, North Dakota, the son of Nicholas and Catherine (nee Scarcello) Librande.
He was a 46 year resident of Carpentersville, and self-employed as a heating contractor. He served his community as a former volunteer fireman with the CCFPD for 10 years and was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran of WW II.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Hilda (nee Cummings); eight children, Catherine (Jeff) Surerus of Washington, Nicholas III of Carpentersville,Suzanne (Bob) Turner of Hampshire, Patricia (Bill) Radke of Geneva, Dianne (Randy) Hebert of Alabama, David (Laura) of Washington, Margaret and Jeff, both of Carpentersville; eight brothers and sisters, Mike of Washington; Sam (Doris) of Colorado, John (Dorothy) of Colorado, George (Sheila) of Oregon, Mary Kay of Idaho, Fran (Wayne) Doll of California, Theresa (Bob) of East Dundee and Liz (Chuck) Tanata of North Dakota; two sisters-in-law, Anne Librande of Carpentersville and Lan Librande of Washington; fourteen grandchildren, a great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
He touched the lives of many through his kindness, wit and integrity.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rose Archer; and brothers, Don, Tony & Jim.
Prayers will be 9:15 AM, Tuesday, July 10 in the Miller Funeral Home to St. Monica Church for Mass at 10 AM. Interment at River Valley Memorial Gardens, West Dundee.
Visitation will be 4-9 PM., Monday in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Carpentersville Paramedics, or Masses would be appreciated.
Gladys V. Maushak
Gladys V. Maushak, 99, of Marengo, died Wednesday, July 4, 2001 at her home.
She was born June 23, 1902 in Coral Township, the daughter of Fred and Sophia (Bahre) Maushak.
She taught in rural schools in McHenry County for 46 years, the longest period being in West Harmony and the Hawthorn District. She retired from teaching in 1968. She was a member of the Three M Club and enjoyed reading poetry, gardening and history.
Survivors include her nieces and nephew, Mary Wykes of Maryland, Lowell (Marge) Maushak of Utah, Marjorie (Boyd) Reid of Minnesota, Annette (Wayne) Kleckner of Wisconsin, Caroline (Milt) Awe of Hampshire and Susan (George) Batchelder of California; and many great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Lola Maushak and Grace Maushak; and five brothers; Curtiss, William, Wayne, Fred and George (in infancy).
Memorial Services will be 2 p.m., Sunday in the Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E. Grant Hwy., Marengo, the Rev. Allen Campbell officiating. Interment will be private.
Visitation will be 1 p.m., Sunday until the time of services in the funeral home.

Danny P. Peeples
Danny P. Peeples age 53 of Carol Stream passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2001 in Salem Indiana. He was born March 24, 1948 in Mississippi the son of R.B. and Mary Lou Clark Peeples. he had been a resident of Carol Stream for over 25 years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U.S. Army.
Surviving are three daughters, Natalie A. (Bob) Henson of Hanover Park, Nancy (Jose) Rodriguez of Streamwood, Jennifer Cortinas of Germany, one grandson, Danny Rodriguez, former wife, Janice Peeples of Carol Stream, several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Douglas Peeples in 1972.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, July 10 at 10:00 AM in Mount Hope cemetery, Elgin. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the American Red Cross or The Veterans Association. Information: Laird Funeral Home (847) 741-8800.

Mrs. Dorthy Lucille Rose, 69, of South Elgin, IL, formerly of McLeansboro passed away Friday, July 6, 2001.
She was born July 14, 1931 in Hamilton County, IL, the daughter of Jim and Dora (Dunahee) McKinney.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Russell Rose; two sons, Billy (Sandra) Rose of Jacksonville, FL and Charles "Chuck" Rose of Waco, TX; a daughter, Patricia (Jeff) Stone of Marengo, IL; six grandchildren, Jessica Rose and Andrew Mateos, David Stone, Wendy Stone, Kathrine and Michael Behm; and a brother, Loren McKinney of Frostproof, FL.
Mrs. Rose was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Services will at 1 PM Tuesday, July 10, 2001 at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with Rev. Robert Sefried officiating. Interment Crouch cemetery, Belle Prairie.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Monday at the funeral home.
