Eileen Pearl "Ikey" Bross
Eileen Pearl "Ikey" Bross, of Streamwood, formerly of North Adams, MA, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2003 at her home. She was born March 1, 1923, the daughter of David and Louise (nee McLain) Bunting.
She is survived by her husband, Walter "Rocky"; her children, Donna (late Don) Byrnes fo Mukwonago, WI, JoAne (Richard) Spizziri of Elgin, Sally (Bob) Phillips of Elgin, Jacqueline Bross of Elgin, Karen (Mike) Cook of Elgin, Roberta (late Gregg) Quinlan of Baltimore, MD, Rebecca (Don) Wagner of Streamwood; siblings, Mabel (late Buck) Williams, Gerald (Diane) Bunting, Donald Bunting, all of North Adams, MA; grandchildren, Christian, Michelle (Bob), Lisa (Bruce), Stephanie (Mike), Richard (Amanda), David (Jessica), Brandon (Beth), John, Erin, Kristin, Eric, Patrick, Ryan, Shawn; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Benjamin, Anthony, Elisabeth.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Eleanor, Edna, Norma, Marjorie, Barbara and Nancy.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday, August 2 at 10:00 a.m. at Countryside Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Bartlett cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Provena Hospice, 87 N. Airlite, Ste. 120, Elgin, IL 60123.

Kenneth J. Koehler
Kenneth J. Koehler, 89 of Elgin passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2003 in Rosewood Care Ceter. He was born March 19, 1914 in Volga, So. Dakota and was the son of Jacob and Florence Koehler. He had been employed by Elgin Corrugated Box Co. in Elgin for many years before retiring.
He was a former long time member of the First United Methodist Church of Elgin, member of B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge No. 737 of Elgin.
Surviving him are his wife, Ruth; one daughter, Karen (Vito) Botticello of Auburndale, Florida; 3 step-daughters, Carol Benson of Seminole, Florida, Mary Hitzeman of Owatonna, Minnesota and Sue (Julius) Padegimas of Hampshire, IL.; two grandsons, Alex (Sara) Miller of Sacramento, California and Adam Miller of Sacramento, California; one great-grandson, Jacob David Carlson of Phoenix, Arizona; seven step-grandchildren; one sister, Marjorie Walser of Madison, Wisconsin; two nieces, Marilyn Barger and Sandy (Bill) Butler; three nephews, Robert "Bud" McGraw, Jerry (Kathy) McGraw and Jim Walser.
preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Betty Schmidt Koehler in 1970; second wife, Florence Carlson Koehler in 1987; and one sister, Virginia McGraw.
Funeral Services will be held Friday August 1, 2003 at 1:30 p.m. in the Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin. Burial will be in Bluff City cemetery. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 Noon until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Heart Association.
Anna Marie Lopez
Anna Marie Lopez, 24 of Loves Park, IL, formerly of Elgin passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2003 in Rockford from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born April 29, 1979 in Elgin, the daughter of Terence Lopez and Sherri Davis Lopez. She had been a resident of Elgin for most of her life before moving to the Rockford area.
Surviving are her mother, Sherri (Lorenzo) Martinez of Carpentersville; her father, Teddy (Bertha) Lopez of Elgin; her son, Deandre Lamont Adams; two sisters, Angela Lopez of Carpentersville, Gabriala Lopez of Elgin; a half brother, Teddy Lopez; her maternal grandmother, Judy Markham of Elgin; her paternal grandmother, Anna Mendez of Elgin; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 2, 2003 at 9:30 a.m. at Laird Funeral Home, Elgin. Rev. Miroslaw Reikowski officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park, Elgin. Visitation will be held Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

Marjorie Moore, of West Chicago passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2003 while in Montana.

Marion R. Buck
Marion R. Buck 82 of Elgin passed away Friday, July 30, 2004 in her home after fighting Aplastic Anemia. She was born June 12, 1922 in Elgin the daughter of William and Minnie Otte. She grew up in Elgin where she lived her entire life except for 5 years in Skokie. She married
Robert D. Buck on January 16, 1943 after he returned from service in Europe during W.W. II. She was a homemaker who dedicated her life to the welfare of her family. During her last months of her life she was sustained by many kind souls, especially her friend, Carol Thies Pearson, her daughter-in-law, Karen and her caregiver Angie Tan.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Elgin.
Surviving are her husband, Robert D. Buck; her family of 3 sons, James (Karen) Buck of Sycamore, John Debbie) Buck of Geneva and Jeff (Amy) Buck of Davis, California; 5 grandchildren, Lisa (Jimmy) Halterman, Trisha, Evan and Justin Buck and Kathy (Tim) Beasley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Irene Shinberger and 3 brothers, Clarence, Harold and Irvin Otte.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, Aug. 2 at 11:00 A.M. at Wait Ross Allanson Funeral and Cremation Services, Elgin Chapel, with Rev. Hannibal Frederick officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park, Elgin. Visitation will be held Monday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services in the funeral home. Marie J. Floto, 97 of Elgin passed away Thursday, July 29, 2004 at Rosewood Care Center, Elgin. She was born July 4, 1907 in Gilberts the daughter of John and Mary Genz Mc Mahon. She had been a resident of the Elgin area all of her life and was a graduate of Elgin High School Class of 1925. She married
Elmer L. Floto on May 8, 1927. She was Corporation Secretary and Treasurer of H.L. Pierce Motor Sales Inc. and Harry L. Pierce Motor Sales where she was affiliated for over 50 years.
She was a Charter member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Elgin. She was a Charter member of Zonta Club of Elgin.
Surviving are a cousin-Mrs. Frank(Cese) Gannon of Elgin formerly of Hampshire.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband-Elmer L. Floto, 2 brothers-William J. and Clarence J. McMahon.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 3 at 10:30 A.M. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Elgin with Revs. Roger Pollock, Martin Balzer and her Godson Rev. Donald E. Bendewald officiating. Santiago A. Franco
Santiago A. Franco, 76. of Huntley died Thursday, July 29, 2004 at St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin. He was born July 20, 1928 in Argentina to Santiago and Teresa Franko.
Survived by his wife of 53 years, Nelida; four children, Diana (Kelly) Jones of Geneva, Jorge of Huntly, Beatriz (Emroy) Menk of Poplar Grove, IL and John (Ralene) of Elburn, IL; six grandchildren, David, Ken, Jennifer, Christina, Domenic and Juan; seven great-grandchildren, Alexis, Austin, Devon, Jared, Amber, Dylan and Steven; a sister, Mercedes Ares of Argentina; and many nieces and nephews.
His love and devotion were the foundation of the family he held so dear.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Kevin Milnamow
Kevin Milnamow, 47, of Elgin passed away Saturday, July 31, 2004 in Provena St. Joseph Hospital from cancer. He was born September 25, 1956 in Chicago and was the son of John and Patricia Milnamow. He had been a resident of Elgin most of his life. He was a self employed insurance agent for Farmers Insurance Co. in Elgin and was a former coach with the Continental Little League in Elgin. He was a member of St. Laurence Catholic Church, the Elgin Riverside Club and the Ern Club.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia; a daughter, Maggie Milnamow of Elgin; three sons, Brian Milnamow of Chicago, and Sean and Kyle Milnamow of Elgin; three sisters, Annmarie (Mitch) Steffen of Bloomington, IL, Jeanne Milnamow of LaGrange Park, IL and Nancy (Jim) Van Dyke of Elgin; four brothers, Paul (Penny) Milnamow of Elgin, Mark (Wanda) Milnaow of Ft. Atkinson, Wisconsin, Bill (Ellen0 Milnamow of Wheaton and Tim Milnamow of Elgin; his father- and mother-in-law, George and Lorraine McGann of Elgin; five sisters-in-law, Kathy (Mike) Doherty of Elgin, Mary (Steve) Matison of Sycamore, IL, Jean LeRoy, Lorrie Tucker and Barb (Mike) McGrath all of Elgin; a brother-in-law, George McGann of San Antonio, Texas; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday at 11 AM in St. Laurence Catholic Church. Burial will be private. Visitation will be in the Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin on Monday from 4 to 9 PM and then on Tuesday in Church from 10:30 AM until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family for their education.
Lorraine K. Myers
Lorraine K. Myers, 86, of East Dundee, former many year resident of Sleepy Hollow and the Holmstad of Batavia died Friday, July 15, 2004 at Sherman Hospital in Elgin. She was born November 21, 1917 in Winona, MN.
She was the daughter of Richard and Ella Kuhlman. Lorraine was a longtime and active member of the First Congregational Church of West Dundee where she served as a former Deaconess and a member of the Women's Fellowship. She was a many year member of several of the morning ladies bowling leagues at Masi' Bowling Alley in West Dundee.
Lorraine was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was loved by all who knew her and surely she will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her sons, Gerald G. Jr. (Lynn) Myers of Pasadena, CA and Richard (Andrea) Myers of Gilberts; her seven grandchildren who she was especially proud of, Katelyn, Annie, Charlie, Morgan, Mitchell, Jeffery and Terry; her great-grandchildren, Lindsey, Alyssa, Jake, Jennifer, Nicholas and Isabelle; her niece, Connie Palmieri of MD; her grand nephew, Jeff and her grand niece, Christina Beth.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 56 years, Gerald G. "Jerry" Myers on February 15, 2001; a grandchild; and her sister, Ruth Morris.
Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2004 at 4:00 p.m. in the First Congregational Church 417 W. Main St., West Dundee. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made to either the First Congregational Church, West Dundee or the Rutland Dundee Fire Fighters Association.

Troy R. Creighton
Troy R. Creighton, age 79, of South Elgin passed away July 30, 2001 in Provena St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin. She was born August 6, 1921 in Corinth, MS the daughter of John and Fannie Polk. She had been a resident of the Elgin area since 1967. She had been employed at the Elgin Mental Health Care Center before retiring.
She as a founding member of Living Gospel Church of god in Christ of Elgin. She was the original Mother of the Mothers Board of the church.
Surviving are her loving daughter, Marie Taylor of South Elgin; sister, Ernastine Davis of Corinth, MS; godson, Rev. Walter H. Blalark of Elgin; goddaughter Lindgale Buckhana of Elgin and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William "Bill" Creighton in May of 1980.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 7 p.m. in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin with Rev. Walter Blalark officiating. Burial will be held Monday, August 6 at 10:00 a.m. in National cemetery, Corinth, MS. Visitation will be held Friday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services in the funeral home.

Shirley Swanson, 78, of Elgin, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2001 in Provena St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin.
She was born May 27, 1923 in Ohio, the daughter of Arthur and Frances Swanson.
Survivors include a cousin, James (Judy) Phillips of Elgin.
She was preceded in death by herparents.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m., Friday in the Stout-Madison Funeral Home, 252 S. State St., Elgin, Fr. Dominic Cassidy officiating. Burial will be in River Valley Memorial Gardens, West Dundee.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m., Thursday in the funeral home.
Audrey R. Thurnau, R.N.
Audrey R. Thurnau, R.N., 75, of Woodstock, formerly of East Dundee died Tuesday, July 31, 2001 at the Woodstock Memorial Hospital, Woodstock.
She was born in Ringwood, Ill. on Oct. 11, 1925, the daughter of Raymond and Mabelle (nee Krohn) Merchant.
She was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a 1946 graduate of Sherman Hospital School of Nursing and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Woodstock.
Survivors include two sons, Jeff(Carrie) of Vancouver, Wash. and Scott (Sandi) of Woodstock; and a sister, Rita (Paul) Hill of Woodstock.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elroy Thurnau in 1982; a brother, KennethMerchant; and a sister, Darlene Cooney.
Funeral Services will be 10 a.m., Friday in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee, the Rev. Dr. Lana Thompson Sutton officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Reformed Presbyterian Church cemetery, Elgin.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Thursday in the funeral home.
