Doris J. Huberty
Doris J. Huberty, 79, of Aurora passed away peacefully at home on August 18, 2002 after an extended illness. She was born May 15, 1923 in Chicago, Illinois.
Doris is survived by four sons Thomas R. (Trudy) Huberty of Sugar Grove, IL, James R. Huberty of Chicago, IL, William L. (Connie) Huberty of St. Charles, IL, and Robert N. (Karrie) Huberty of Aurora, IL; five grandchildren Nicole, Matthew, Erin, Kevin, and Justin Huberty; her cousin Dolores "Rusty" Johnson of Chesteron, IN; 18 nieces and nephew; and she was comforted for the last 2 years by her caregiver, Vicki.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence E. Huberty; her parent Lucille and Matthew Kuhnen; and her brother Robert M. Huberty.
Funeral from THE DALEIDEN LAKE STREET MORTUARY will be Wednesday, August 21, 2002 at 11:30 a.m. to St. Nicholas Church at 12:00 p.m. Fr. David R. Engbarth will officiate with interment at Mt. Charlotte E. Toberman (nee Gay)
Charlotte E. Toberman (nee Gay), 86, formerly of Carbondale, IL, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2002 in the Rosewood Care Center, Elgin.
She was born December 21, 1915 in Florissant, MO, and was the daughter of Frank and Bertha Gay.
She married
George A. Toberman on October 9, 1939 and moved to Carbondale, IL to raise her family. Charlotte was an active member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, and served as a volunteer at the Carbondale Memorial Hospital for many years.
Survivors include three sons, Robert G. (Van Ethel) Toberman of Las Cruces, NM, Richard K. (Beverly) Toberman of Dewitt, IL and Gary W. (Dee) Toberman of Carpentersville, IL; nine grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and a sister, Marguerite (Michael) Schweichs of Hartford, CT.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2002 from 3 to 8 PM in the Laird Funeral Home, 120 S. Third St. (Corner of Third and Oregon), West Dundee, IL. Funeral Services will be at the St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Carbondale, IL on Saturday, August 24, 2002 at 2 PM.
Glenda Jean Banning
Glenda Jean Banning, 62, of Carpentersville passed away Thursday August 18, 2004. Born August 18, 1942 in Price, Utah.
Resident of Carpentersville for the past 14 years. She had been a leader in Boy Scouts of America with Troop 18 in Elgin.
She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was a Moose Heart Alumni.
Surviving are her husband, James Banning; one son, Robert (Amy) Banning of Carpentersville; two grandchildren; one sister, Erma (Charles) Palmer of Longmont, CO; two brothers, Chester (LaDonna) Hall of Price, UT and James Hall.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Douglas Heaton officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be on Saturday in the church from 9:30 AM, until time of services.

James M. Barber
James M. Barber, 78, of Carpentersville died Thursday, August 19, 2004 at Sherman Hospital in Elgin. He was born on August 27, 1925 in Oceana, West Virginia. Mr. Barber was a 45 year resident of the Carpentersville area. He was a former 30 year employee of Hills-McCanna of Carpentersville. For 13 years he served in the United States Army, having battle time during World War II. He was a life member of Carpentersville VFW #5915.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Helen L. (nee Byrd) Barber. They married
on September 4, 1946; their children, Diane (Timothy) Ruffin of Abilene, Texas, James C. Barber of Alabama, Duane S. (Julie) Barber of New Orleans, LA, Mary (Dennis) Andraetta of Hazelcrest, IL and Luanne (Johnnie) Goston of Elgin; 10 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; three brothers, Wiley Byrd, Curtis (Jeanne) Byrd and Howard (Margaret) Ellis all of North Carolina. Many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Private Family Funeral Services will be held at 8 PM on Friday in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee with the Rev. Ronald Juran officiating. Burial will be private.

Helen Clark
Helen Clark, 74 of Elgin, passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2004 in her home. She was born April 22, 1930 in Buncombe, IL and was the daughter of Leland and Elda Toler.
Resident of Elgin most of her life and was a graduate of Elgin High School. She was a school bus driver for District #U46 for several years and then she worked for the Kane County Assesor's office, before retiring.
Surviving are her husband, Norman; three sons, William (Carol) Clark of Phoenix, AZ, Thomas (Laura) Clark of Huntley, IL and Dale Clark of Elgin; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Jonathon, Cody and Nick Clark; one brother, William Toler of Stockton, CA.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3:00 PM in the Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin. Burial will be private in Bluff City cemetery.
Visitation will be on Saturday from 1:00 PM, until time of services.

Gregg A. Esterland
Gregg A. Esterland, 43, of Elgin, died Thursday at his home. He was born October 4, 1960 in St. Charles.
Gregg enjoyed camping with his sisters and nieces in Wisconsin. Also boating, fishing with his brother-in-law, Ralph. Most of all Gregg enjoyed laughing and spending time with all his good friends.
Gregg is survived by his daughter, Holly Esterland of Somonauk, IL; two grandsons, Jordan Ritter and Nathan Esterland; four sisters, Jeanne (George) Bricher of Wellington, CO, Jill (Chuck) Borosak of Geneva, Tina Campbell of Elgin and Elizabeth Esterland (Robert Minnis) of St. Charles; one brother, Eric Esterland of Stewart; several nieces and nephews. Also many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walford "Swede" and Rosetta Esterland; a brother, John Esterland; also a nephew, Jake Bricher.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 24, 2004 at the Yurs Funeral Home St. Charles. Interment will be private. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
Donald Joseph Gintner
Donald Joseph Gintner, 74 of Elgin, formerly of Bloomingdale, IL passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2004 in his home. He was born February 1, 1930 in Cicero, IL and was the son of Joseph and Emily Gintner. He was a veteran having served in Korea.
Surviving are his wife, Martha; one daughter, Rebecca (Loren) Bustin of Wheaton, IL; one son, David (Susan) Barrow of Washington State; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Walter (Esther) Gintner of Washington State; and many adopted children and grandchildren.

Esther Terese Ramm
Esther Terese Ramm, 93, of Normal, IL passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2004 at Manorcare Health Services, Normal. She was born March 9, 1911 in Crystal Lake, the daughter of Ernst and Helen P. (Benson) Randau.
Mrs. Ramm married
Clarence David Ramm on September 18, 1936 in Crystal Lake, IL. She was a Past President of Bloomington Emblem Club.
Surviving are one daughter, Penny Kellogg of Bloomington, IL; three grandchildren, Bob (Buffi) Kellogg of Normal, IL, Michael (Julie) Ramm of Alabama, and Jolene Ramm of California; and one great-grandson, Jacob Ramm.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on April 9, 1971; and one son, David.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 20, 2004 at Lakewood Memorial Park, Elgin, IL with Rev. Mark Hamner officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the Calvert and Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Emblem Club Scholarship Fund. Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL is in charge of arrangements.
Bertha L. Beatty
Bertha L. (nee Miller) Beatty, 89, of Wheaton, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2001 in Wynscape Nursing Home, Wheaton.
She was born July 29, 1912 in Chicago. She was a resident of Elgin from 1960 to 1994.
Survivors include her loving children, Edward Jr. (Linda) of Elmwood Park, Ill., John (Robert Baker) of St. Charles, Linda (Vito) Treviso of Wooddale, Merritt(Dennis) Schultz of Buffalo Grove and Richard (Debbie) Beatty of Elgin; devoted grandchildren, Jill, Edward III (Gail) and James Beatty, Brian (Christine), Leanne and Timothy (Eden) Perry, Leslie (Mark) Phillips, Kerri Schultz, Jeffrey and Eric Beatty; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Myrtle (the late Arthur) Vorbau.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward W.; and a brother, Frederick (the late Helene) Miller.
Visitation will be 4-9 p.m., Thursday in the Williams-Kamp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Rd., Wheaton (1 blk. E ofNaperville Rd.). Interment will be private in Union cemetery, St. Charles.
Robert George Cole
Robert George Cole, 55, of Genoa, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2001 at his daughter's home in Genoa after a short but hard fought battle with cancer.
He was born Aug. 9, 1946 in Elgin, the son of Wilbur and Stella (Madison) Cole.
He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U.S. Air Force, being stationed in Korea. He was a graduate of the Hampshire High School - Class of 1964. He was an avid fisherman & loved sports. Bob was a Cubs fan to the end. He was a member of the Genoa VFW and was employed at Union Special in Huntley for over 25 years.
Survivors include four daughters, Ali (Steve) Fowler of Rockford, Jo Ann Heldt of Sycamore, Debbie (Joe) Hathcoat of Shabbona and Dawn Cole of Genoa; seven grandchildren, Ashleigh and Austen Fowler, Brittany, Paige and Aaron Heldt, Joshua and Joey Hathcoat; two sisters, Judy (Roy) Burke and Virginia (Nick)Casaras, both of Hampshire; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday in the Slater-Butala Funeral Home in Genoa, the Rev. Stephen Persson officiating. Burial will be in Hampshire cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Tuesday in the funeral home.

Mary E. Cronin
Mary E. Cronin, 70, of Elgin, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2001 in her home.
She was born July 5, 1931 in Dublin-Ontario, Canada, the daughter of Fergus and Mary (nee Eckert) Horan.
She had been a homemaker and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Elgin.
Survivors include her husband,Leonard Cronin, whom she married
on Oct. 4, 1952; two sons, Richard Cronin of Chicago and Raymond (Joyce) Cronin of Michigan; two daughters, Patricia(Donald) Elliott and Deborah Cronin, both of Elgin; and three grandchildren,Michelle Handy and Matthew Handy, both of Elgin and Joslyn Cronin ofMichigan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Lynette.
Funeral and burial services were held in Michigan.
