John David Johnson
John David Johnson, 75, of Peoria AZ., died Friday, August 30, 2002. John was born in Westfield, Wisconsin on August 14, 1927.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Ann; sons, Camron J. and Kyle D. Johnson; brother, W. Lawrence Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 7, 2002 at 1:00 PM at Community Church of Joy, 21000 N. 75th Ave., Glendale, AZ.

William "Bill" Boldwyn
Mr. William "Bill" Boldwyn, 51, of Chatsworth, GA and formerly of Elgin died Wednesday, August 13, 2003 at Murray Medical Center. He was laid to rest on August 16 in Chatsworth, GA. He was the son of Raymond and Maudine Boldwyn.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Boldwyn of the residence; children, Billy Boldwyn of Chatsworth, GA; Stacy Boldwyn and John Boldwyn, both of Oklahoma; and Victoria Boldwyn of Gilberts, IL; brother, Robert Boldwyn of Dekalb, IL; sister, Mrs. David (Mary Lou) Aurand of St. Charles, IL; three grandchildren, Amanda Medina of Gilberts, IL; Jeiryn Boldwyn of Chatsworth and Jonathan Appleby of Anadarko, OK; nieces and nephews also survive.
preceded in death by one brother, Ronald and one sister, Ruth.

Louise D. Graf
Louise D. Graf, 86 of Elgin passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2003 at Tower Hill Nursing Home, South Elgin. She was born October 27, 1916 in Fort Scott, Kansas, the daughter of George and Elizabeth Greiner Sinn. She had been a resident of the Elgin area since 1935 and had been employed by LeeWards for over 20 years before retiring.
She attended the Apostolic Christian Church of Elgin.
Surviving are her daughter, Jane (Robert) Robison of Clarksville, TN; her son, Gary (Karen) Graf of Elgin; grandchildren, Deborah (Robert) Montavon of Elgin, Jennifer (Michael) Corcoran of Winter Springs, FL, Edward (Ashley) Robison of Clarksville, TN, Andrew Robison of Clarksville, TN; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Avery, Matthew, Eoin, Samantha, Mary, and Niall; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward Graf; sisters, Christina Schwind and Ida Sinn; brothers, Frederick, Joseph, George, August, William, Charles, Edward, and Michael Sinn.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 8 at 10:00 a.m. at Laird Funeral Home, Elgin. Burial will be in Bluff City cemetery, Elgin. Visitation will be held Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Apostolic Christian Church of Elgin.

John Matthew Hurtado
John Matthew Hurtado, 50, of Key West, FL passed away at the Miami VA Medical Center, Miami, FL on September 1, 2003 of natural causes.
A native of Elgin, IL and a local resident since 1991, when he moved to Key West, FL from Elgin, IL, he was a laborer in the construction business, a Catholic and a US Navy Veteran serving during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his mother, Jennie Hurtado of Elgin, IL; two brothers, James Hurtado of Hampshire, IL and Jeffrey Hurtado of Colorado; a sister, Linda Moore of Big Rock, IL.
Inurnment will be in Florida National cemetery in Bushnell, FL. VETERANS CREMATION AND BURIAL SOCIETY-CLEARWATER, FL. (727)467-0922.

Eleanor Grace Kouris
Eleanor Grace Kouris, 60, of Carpentersville passed away at her home on Wednesday, September 3, 2003. She was born October 29, 1942, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the daughter of Maxwell and Martha Aspedon Wright.
She grew up in Glenwood, IA and married Greg Kouris on October 27, 1966. They lived in Carpentersville since 1974.
Survivors include her husband, Greg; four sons, Jeff Bomer of Carpentersville, Jerry Bomer of Iowa, Jim Kouris off So. Elgin and Alex Kouris of Marengo; his father, Maxwell Wright of TX; two daughters-in-law, Cheryl Kouris and Rachel Kouris; and six grandchildren, Josh Bomber, Heather Bomer, Matthew and Billy Kouris and Joshua and Nate Kouris.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Martha Wright.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday, September 6, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church, Elgin with Rev. Tim Wills officiating. Burial will be private.
Visitation will be Friday, September 5, 2003 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park St., Elgin.

Loretta M. Lesher
Loretta M. Lesher of Algonquin, formerly of Carpentersville, died Thursday at her home. She was the daughter of Stephen and Frances (nee Kinowski) Liszkiewicz.
Loretta was a W.W.II Navy Veteran. She was a former longtime employee of Allstate Insurance.
She is survived by her nephew, Edwin Liszkiewicz; her nieces, Joan Ustrak, Gloria Sagula and Lorraine Kupczyk; many great-nieces and great-nephews, as well as two great-great-nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and three sisters.
Family and friends will meet for Funeral Mass on Saturday at 10:30 in the St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 111 S. Hubbard St. in Algonquin. The Rev. Ariel Valencia will officiate. Interment will follow in the St. Adalbert cemetery in Niles. Visitation will be on Saturday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. Please omit flowers; memorials may be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Dundee Township or the FISH Food Pantry. The Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee is in charge of arrangements.

Fred M. Peluso
Fred M. Peluso, 75 of Elgin, formerly of Chicago passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2003 at his home. He was born February 5, 1928 in Chicago, the son of Anthony and Anna Cicero Peluso. He had been a resident of Elgin for the past five years.
Surviving are his three daughters, Carol (William) Fodge of Geneva, Rosemary (David) Hansen of Burlington, Jane (Michael) Studt of Elgin; one son, Thomas (Donna) Peluso of Elgin; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; and one sister.
At his request private services were held at Laird Funeral Home, Elgin. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Provena St. Joseph Hospital.

Sean C. Roberts
Airman First Class Sean C. Roberts, 19 of Evanston passed away Monday, September 1, 2003 in Cumberland County, North Carolina from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born June 7, 1984 in Grand Junction, Colorado the son of Jack A. Roberts and Vicki A. Lopas.
He was a graduate of Evanston Township High School. He was a crew chief on a C-130 stationed at Pope Air Force Base in North Carolina.
Surviving are his mother, Vicki A. (Cecil) Smith of South Elgin; his father, Jack A. Roberts of Evanston; two sisters, Gabriell Smith of South Elgin and Ashley Roberts of South Elgin; two brothers, Joshua and Ethan Smith of South Elgin; his maternal grandmother, Myrna Lopas of Elgin; his maternal grandfather, Charles (Carol) Lopas of Grand Junction, CO; paternal grandfather, Everett (Doris) Roberts of Aurora, CO; paternal great-grandmother, Estle Sinclair of Burlington, CO; maternal great-grandparents, Charles and Marge Lopas of Grand Junction, CO.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 7, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. at Laird Funeral Home, Elgin. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services in the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Brookfield Zoo, 3300 Golf Rd., Brookfield, IL 60513

Wilmer J. Rohlwing
Wilmer J. Rohlwing, 79, of Huntley passed away Thursday, September 4, 2003 in his home.
He was born January 16, 1924 in Schaumburg the son of William and Alma (Gieseke) Rohlwing. He was a graduate of Arlington Heights High School. He farmed with his father on the homestead on Rohlwing Road in Schaumburg until 1957 when he moved with his family to a farm in Huntley. Wilmer married Elizabeth L. Hillmer on April 26, 1947 at the St. John Lutheran Church in Forest Park. He retired from farming in 1963 and began a 27 year career as a District Representative for the Aid Association for Lutherans, retiring in 1989.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Huntley and very active serving through the years as an Elder, Trustee, Chairman of the Congregation, and on the Building Committee.
He served on the Huntley Planning Commission from 1975 until 1999, serving as Chairman for 14 of those years. Upon his retirement form the Planning Commission, September 13, 1999 was declared Wilmer Rohlwing Day in Huntley in his honor.
Survivors include son, David W. (Lauren) Rohlwing of Elgin, two daughters, Nancy (Craig) Dvorak of Huntley and Joyce (Rick) Schmidt of Kirkland; eight grandchildren, Brett and Nicole Rohlwing, Amy (Brian) Nied, Scott and Rebecca Dvorak, Michael, Megan and Sarah Schmidt, and one great-grandchild, Jacob Nied. Also, brothers, Arnold (Gertrude) John (Mac); Melvin (June) and twin brother, Elmer (Evelyn) Rohlwing, and sister, Verona Hinrichs.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth on August 30, 1995, brothers, Norbert and William, and an infant sister, Alma.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday, September 8, at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 11008 N. Church St., Huntley with the Rev. Charles W. Kittel officiating. Burial will be in McHenry County Memorial Park in Woodstock.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 PM Sunday at the James A. O'Connor Funeral Home, 11603 E. Main St., Huntley and at the Church prior to services on Monday from 10 to 11 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be directed to the Trinity Lutheran Church.

Pattie Jo Russ
Pattie Jo Russ, age 61, of Benton, IL, formerly of Dundee, died Sunday, August 31, 2003 at Carbondale Memorial Hospital. She was born November 2, 1941 in Evanston, IL. The daughter of Raymond and Marcella (Bootz) Painter.
She is survived by her husband Fred Russ, whom she married December 1, 1962, in Morton Grove; three children, Travis (Geri) Russ of Cary, Justine Russ of Harvard, and Robert (Deborah) Russ of Libertyville; seven grandchildren, Adam, Nicole, Crystal, Ricky, Ray, J.R., and Mackenzie; a great grandchild, Diamond; three sisters, Rita Roberts of North Chicago, Susan Gartner of Chicago, and Rayanne Barrett of St. Louis; and two brothers, Dennis Painter of L.I.T.H. and Daryl Painter of Schaumburg.
She most recently worked at the Bank of Marion, Marion, IL. Previously she had worked at Elgin Federal Bank and Starck Realty in Dundee.
Visitation was held Thursday, September 4, 2003 at the KAHLE-MOORE FUNERAL HOME, 403 Silver Lake Rd., Cary, IL. Funeral is Friday at 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial is at Windridge cemetery.

Marcia L. Smith
Marcia L. Smith, 46, of Elgin and Thornfield, MO, died Sunday, August 31, 2003 in her sleep at home.
Marcia was born July 20, 1957, the daughter of Stuart and Joan Murray Smith in Waterloo, Iowa.
She was a very skilled semi dump truck driver and had her nickname, "the Martian", painted on the truck she operated. She also was the Office Manager for MEADOWS TRUCKING.
In the winter, she resided in Thornfield, MO, where she helped with the management and operation of a cattle ranch. She enjoyed the outdoors and hunting and fishing.
Survivors include her companion, George "Cy" Meadows of Elgin and Thornfield, MO.; her children, Melissa (Joshua) Lohrer of Stanwood, Iowa and Kelsey Boyle of Mansfield, MO.; her mother, Joan Crow; her stepmother, Wanda Smith; three grandchildren, Tyler, Tempest and Takoda Lohrer; a sister, Kriss (Jeff) Burkle; a brother, Jeff (Jan) Smith; a stepsister and stepbrother, Amy and Mike Menke; and many nieces and nephews. She will be truly missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Stuart Smith; a brother, Craig Smith; and her former husband, Theodore "Ted" Boyle.
A memorial serivce will be held at Grace United Methodist Church, 325 South St., Elgin, IL on Friday, September 5 at 7 p.m. Graveside service pending at Oak Hill cemetery, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
A memorial fund has been established in memory of Marcia.

Jane Elizabeth West
Jane Elizabeth West of St. Charles died August 20 at Central DuPage Hospital, Winfield. She was born July 10, 1924 in Elgin, the daughter of Roy Dunham and Irma (Schneider) Coleman.
She was a graduate of Elgin High School, Frances Harrington's Professional School of Interior Design and Northwestern University.
She is survived by two sons, Charles C. and George H. West; and four grandchildren, Bodi, Joshua, Allyson and Charles West, all of Morrison, IL.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. West; a brother, 1st Lt. George R. Coleman, killed in World War II; and a sister, Suzanne Coleman.
There will be no visitation or services. Burial will be private.

Gertrude W. Bahr
Gertrude W. Bahr, age 98 of West Dundee, at rest September 1, 2004. Beloved wife of the late William, who passed away on July 27, 1990; loving mother of Ruth Howanietz; cherished grandmother of Steven (Antonia) and Ronald (Linda); great-grandmother of 3 and great-great grandmother of 5.

Tessie "Tess" Dawidziak
Tessie "Tess" Dawidziak, 58, of Elgin passed away Friday, September 3, 2004 in her home. She was born on April 16, 1946 in Germany and was the daughter of John and Angela Prokop. After immigrating from Germany with her family, Tessie lived in Chicago for 25 years and attended St. Clements High School. She had been a resident of Elgin for the past 31 years. Tessie spent her entire life collecting angles and playing bingo. She treasured most of all, spending time with her husband, daughters and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Elgin and a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary of Elgin.
Surviving are her husband of 39 years, Peter; five children, Jessica (Jon) Gospodarek of Carpentersville, Michelle (Clarence) Herrmann of Genoa, IL, Lori (Steve) Szurgot of Oldio, Ohio, Angela (Scott) Speed of Elgin and Crystal (Armenio) Rosario of Carpentersville; 11 grandchildren, Justin, Jacklyn, Ryne, Joshua, twins Nicholas and Nicole, Jacob, Darlene, Tessa and Lexzandro; her mother, Angela Prokop; three brothers; and many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Prokop.
Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2004 at 10 AM in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Elgin. Burial will follow in River Valley Memorial Gardens, West Dundee. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 9 PM in the Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin and then on Wednesday in the church from 9:30 AM until time of the Mass. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Deloris E. Erlbacher
Deloris E. Erlbacher, 80 of Elgin, died Friday, September 3, 2004 at St. Joseph Hospital.
Deloris was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Elgin, also a member of American Legion Post #57, and Elgin Eagles Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vern Erlbacher; one sister, Agnes Schuchard.
She is survived by two sisters, Delvina Miller and Johanna Rinne, both of Elgin one sister-in-law, Ella Mae (Ed) Darnell of Elgin; also other sisters and brothers-in-law from Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Monday, September 5, 2004 at the O'Connor-Leetz Funeral Home, Elgin from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Funeral services and burial will be in Earling, Iowa. Memorials may be made in Deloris's memory to St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Elgin or the charity of one's choice. For more information, please call (847) 741-1400.
