Eloise (nee Salmon) Abbott, 65, of Plain, Wis., formerly of Bartlett, died, Friday, Aug. 31, 2000.
Survivors include her beloved husband, Edward; her loving children, Greg (Lori), Alan (Laura), Paul (Pam), Lisa (John) and Susan (Lynn); proud grandmother of Kevin, Mark, Neal, Jeannie, Mary Ellen, Eloise, Sara and Grae; and cherished sister of Mary, Rita, John, Collette, Nora, Barbara, Tom and Joan.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Eleanor.
A Memorial Mass will be 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 15, 2001 at Resurrection Catholic Church, 30W350 Army Trail Road (at Rt. 59), Wayne.

Amelia A. Klock
Amelia A. Klock, 104, of Hampshire, passed away Thursday, September 6, 2001 at Provena St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin after a short illness.
She was born October 19, 1896 in New Labanon, IL the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Engel) DuMoulin. Amelia married
Harry N. Klock on April 25, 1917. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Hampshire and the V.F.W. Auxiliary.
Survivors include her son Kenneth (Thelma) Klock of Kirkland, daughter Ruby "Betty" Gorenz of Burlington, her sons Maurice "Bud" Klock and Arlo (Doris) Klock of Hampshire; grandchildren Gordon (Carolyn) Klock, Dennis (Debbie) Klock and Linda (Garry) Willit of Kirkland, Ronald (Jean) Klock of Kingston, Connie (Marty) Swiderski of San Clemente, CA, Karen (Bill) John and Kathryn Gorenz of Burlington, Marla (Bruce) Peterson of Rockford, Marcia (Carl) Von Hooijdonk of West Bath, ME and 15 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harry, two sisters Emma Maynard and Anna Fischbach, two brothers William DuMoulin and Edward DuMoulin in infancy, and her two sons Robert A. Klock and Donald W. Klock.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Saturday, September 8, at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 297 E. Jefferson St., Hampshire with the Rev. Joseph Nicolosi officiating. Burial will be in the St. Charles Borromeo cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 PM Friday at the Fredrick Funeral Home, 284 Park St., Hampshire with Rosary at 4:15 PM.

Darlene JoAnn Martin
Darlene JoAnn Martin, 71, of Elgin passed away Thursday, September 5, 2002 in Sherman Hospital. She was born July 28, 1931 in Chicago and was the daughter of John and Julia (nee Jisa) Svoboda.
Dari attended the University of Illinois and married
James L. Martin on October 31, 1953. She was a loving wife and mother and devoted her life to her family and friends. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Elgin.
Surviving are her husband, James L. Martin; four sons, Steven Martin of Chicago, Daniel Martin of Round Lake Beach, IL., Paul Martin of Chicago and John (Christine) Martin of Aurora, IL; two grandchildren, Kimberly and Robert; one sister, Lorraine (Fran) Welch of Morris, IL.; two brothers, Ronald Svoboda of Sonoma CA. and Richard (Lee) Svoboda of Arlington, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister-in-law, Lillian "Kit" Svoboda.
Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 9, 2002 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Bluff City cemetery. Visitation will be in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin on Sunday from 4:00-8:00 PM and then on Monday at the church from 9:30 AM until the time of the Mass.

James "Gov" H. Thompson
James "Gov" H. Thompson, 71, of Marengo died Friday, September 6, 2002 at Rosewood Care Center. He was born on May 24, 1931 in Elgin, IL., the son of Walter and Cora Laue Thompson.
On June 14, 1958 in Huntley, IL., he married
Carol Reh. James farmed in the Marengo area for over 30 years and was a member of the McHenry County Farm Bureau. He retired in December of 2001 from Catty Corp. in Huntley, IL., after 45 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Carol of Marengo; daughter, Dawn (Robert) Wagner of Union, IL.; two grandchildren, DeAnn and Cinda; one sister, Marilyn Swanson of Union; a brother Dale (Beverly) Thompson of Genoa, IL.; and his mother of Belvidere, IL.
He was preceded in death by his father; and a brother, Donald.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Sunday, September 8, 2002 at the Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E. Grant Highway, Marengo, IL. 60152. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM Monday, September 9, 2002 in the funeral home. Interment will be in Harmony cemetery.

Wilmer J. Rohlwing
Wilmer J. Rohlwing, 79, of Huntley passed away Thursday, September 4, 2003 in his home.
He was born January 16, 1924 in Schaumburg the son of William and Alma (Gieseke) Rohlwing. He was a graduate of Arlington Heights High School. He farmed with his father on the homestead on Rohlwing Road in Schaumburg until 1957 when he moved with his family to a farm in Huntley. Wilmer married
Elizabeth L. Hillmer on April 26, 1947 at the St. John Lutheran Church in Forest Park. He retired from farming in 1963 and began a 27 year career as a District Representative for the Aid Association for Lutherans, retiring in 1989.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Huntley and very active serving through the years as an Elder, Trustee, Chairman of the Congregation, and on the Building Committee.
He served on the Huntley Planning Commission from 1975 until 1999, serving as Chairman for 14 of those years. Upon his retirement form the Planning Commission, September 13, 1999 was declared Wilmer Rohlwing Day in Huntley in his honor.
Survivors include son, David W. (Lauren) Rohlwing of Elgin, two daughters, Nancy (Craig) Dvorak of Huntley and Joyce (Rick) Schmidt of Kirkland; eight grandchildren, Brett and Nicole Rohlwing, Amy (Brian) Nied, Scott and Rebecca Dvorak, Michael, Megan and Sarah Schmidt, and one great-grandchild, Jacob Nied. Also, brothers, Arnold (Gertrude) John (Mae); Melvin (June) and twin brother, Elmer (Evelyn) Rohlwing, and sister, Verona Hinrichs.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth on August 30, 1995, brothers, Norbert and William, and an infant sister, Alma.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday, September 8, at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 11008 N. Church St., Huntley with the Rev. Charles W. Kittel officiating. Burial will be in McHenry County Memorial Park in Woodstock.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 PM Sunday at the James A. O'Connor Funeral Home, 11603 E. Main St., Huntley and at the Church prior to services on Monday from 10 to 11 AM.

Viola Schultz
Viola Schultz, 95, of East Dundee died Friday, September 5, 2003 at the ASTA Healthcare Center in Elgin. She was born in East Dundee on December 20, 1907, the daughter of John and Anna (nee Kleinschmidt) Ganschow. Mrs. Schultz was a life long resident of the Dundee area and a many year member of the First Congregational Church of Carpentersville.
She is survived by her sons: Sidney (Minnie) Schultz of Virginia and Dennis (Joanne) Schultz of East Dundee, six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one sister: Irma Nord of West Dundee and one brother: Arnold Ganschow of East Dundee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Edward, a son and daughter in infancy, two brothers: Martin and Otto Ganschow, two sisters: Edna Toppel and Esther Gannow.
Memorial Services will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. in the First Congregational Church, 30 N. Washington St., Carpentersville. Private burial will be in the Dundee Twp. East cemetery in East Dundee. Linda L. Stahl
Linda L. Stahl, 51 of Elgin passed away Thursday, September 4, 2003 in her home. She was born November 12, 1951 in Elgin and was the daughter of William and Lucille Stonebreaker. She had been a resident of Elgin all her life and was employed by Bluff City Materials of Bartlett.
Surviving are two sons, Jason (Courtney) Stahl of Elgin and Ryan Stahl of Tucson, Arizona; one brother, Ronald (Constance) Stonebreaker of Elgin; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. in the Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin with Rev. Roger Pollock officiating. Burial will be in Bluff City cemetery. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and then on Monday from 12:00 noon until time of services.
Ronald J. Zezniewski
Ronald J. Zezniewski, 62, of Carpentersville, died Thursday, Sept. 4, 2003, at his home. He was born in Chicago on February 28, 1941, the son of Joseph W. and Harriet R.D. (Nee Gabryszewski) Zezniewski.
Ron was a resident of the Carpentersville area since 1983. He was a United States Army Veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Mary J. Ciepley; nine children, Michael Ciepley of Carpentersville, Tammy (Wayne) Nowak ofClinton, Wisc., Mark Ciepley of Aurora, James (Laura) Lopez of Genoa, Mathew (Amy) Ziepley, Amy (Mathew) Ciepley, Martin (Dawn) Ciepley, Mitchell Ciepley and Robert (Belinda) Zezniewski, all of Carpentersville; 16 grandchildren; one brother, Jim (Judy) Zezniewski of Hampshire; one sister, Gloria (George) Ulm of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Jordan Nowak.
Visitation will be on Monday from 5-9 p.m. in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee. Services and interment will be private. Please omit flowers.

Scott B. Zierke
Scott B. Zierke, 42, of Marengo, passed away Thursday, Sept. 4, 2003, at Provena St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin. He was born November 30, 1960, in Elgin.
He was a graduate of Edwardsburg High School, Edwardsburg, Mich. and Michigan State University. He had been a resident of Marengo for the past seven years. He had been employed by the Northwest Herald Newspaper in Crystal Lake and R.R. Donnelly and Sons in Elgin.
Surviving are his mother, Janice McLaughlin of Marengo; brother, Michael (Kathy) McLaughlin of Edwardsburg, Mich., step-father Robert McLaughlin of Lake In The Hills; nephew, Andrew and niece, Olivia; his aunt and uncle, Betty (Orval) Volkening and his cousin, Linda (Chuck) Dishroon.
He was preceded in death by his aunt, Lucille Higgins.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 9 at 11:30 A.M. at Laird Funeral Home, Elgin with Pastor Dan Greegor officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park, Elgin. Visitation will be held Monday from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
Manuel F. Casas
Manuel F. Casas, 60, of Elgin passed away Friday, September 3, 2004 in Monterray, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He was born February 24, 1944 in Mexico. He had been a resident of Elgin for the past 42 years and had been employed by Shakeproof Division of Illinois Tool Works in Elgin for 33 years before retiring. His loving legacy lives in the hearts of his family.
He was a devoted husband to his wife of 35 years, Flavia. He was the cherished father of four children. His grandchildren were a source of great pride and joy. The memories they have are of a grandpa who played with them, laughed with them and hugged them. He was a man whose faith in God touched those he met. The rest of his family will remember him as a caring brother, favorite uncle and friend. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Elgin.
Surviving are his wife, Flavia Ruiz Casas; four children, Manuel Casas Jr. of Elgin, Jamie (Tara) Casas of Bartlett, Norma (Donald) Thiel and Marcos Casas both of Elgin; two grandchildren, Christina and Nicholas; and three sisters, Alicia Martinez of Elgin, Anselma Arrerdondo of North Carolina and Isabel (Jose) Garcia of St. Charles, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers.

Doris C. Coats
Doris C. Coats, 89, of South Elgin passed away Sunday, September 5, 2004 in Sherman Hospital. She was born February 18, 1915 in South Elgin and was the daughter of Herman A. and Alma Zierke. She had been a resident of South Elgin all her life and had been employed by the Elgin National Watch Co. for 13 years and later assisted her husband operate Coats Custom Kitchens in South Elgin. She was a member of the South Elgin Community United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a son, James (Darlene) Coats of South Elgin; two step grandchildren, Sean and Jason Kennedy; and two sisters, Gladys Palm of Woodstock, IL and Shirley (Robert) Lorenz of Carpentersville, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ellsworth on November 7, 2002; and a brother, Roy Zierke.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 PM in the South Elgin Community United Methodist Church with Rev. Mary Wise officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park. Visitation will be in the Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St. Elgin on Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM and then on Wednesday at the church from 12:30 PM to time of services. Tessie "Tess" Dawidziak
Tessie "Tess" Dawidziak, 58, of Elgin passed away Friday, September 3, 2004 in her home. She was born on April 16, 1946 in Germany and was the daughter of John and Angela Prokop. After immigrating from Germany with her family, Tessie lived in Chicago for 25 years and attended St. Clements High School. She had been a resident of Elgin for the past 31 years. Tessie spent her entire life collecting angles and playing bingo. She treasured most of all, spending time with her husband, daughters and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Elgin and a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary of Elgin.
Surviving are her husband of 39 years, Peter; five children, Jessica (Jon) Gospodarek of Carpentersville, Michelle (Clarence) Herrmann of Genoa, IL, Lori (Steve) Szurgot of Ohio, Angela (Scott) Speed of Elgin and Crystal (Artenio) Rosario of Carpentersville; 11 grandchildren, Justin, Jacklyn, Ryne, Joshua, twins Nicholas and Nicole, Jacob, Darlene, Karina, Tessa and Lexzandro; her mother, Angela Prokop; three brothers; and many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Prokop.
Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2004 at 10 AM in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Elgin. Burial will follow in River Valley Memorial Gardens, West Dundee. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 9 PM in the Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin and then on Wednesday in the church from 9:30 AM until time of the Mass. Virginia Keller
Virginia Keller, 86, of Burlington passed away Monday, September 6, 2004 at Provena St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin. She was born October 21, 1917 in Burlington, the daughter of George and Josephine (Seisser) Herrmann. Virginia married
Albert G. "Al" Keller Jr. on November 9, 1938 at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Hampshire. They operated a dairy farm in Burlington for 30 years. She had also been employed at Standard Pharmaceutical in Elgin and Playskook Mfg. in Hampshire.
Mrs. Keller was a life long member of the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She loved flowers and her gardens were showplaces.
Surviving are five children, Albert III "Skip" (Joan) Keller of Boscobel, WI, Marcia (David) Dieckman of Ladysmith, WI, Karla (Roger) Thrun of Elgin, Roger (Donna) Keller of Crystal Lake and Donna (Mike) Block of Burlington; 17 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren; four sisters, Catherine Haderer of rural Sycamore, Dolores Andersen of Burlington, Isabelle Stadler of Hampshire and Charlotte (Robert) Seyller of Burlington; and many nieces and nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 63 years, Al on March 21, 2002; son-in-law, Omar Dieckman; brothers, George, Albert and Carl Herrmann; and a sister, Antoinette "Bud" Seyller.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Thursday, September 9, at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 297 E. Jefferson St., Hampshire with Fr. Joseph Nicolosi officiating. Burial will be in the St. Charles Borromeo cemetery.
