Sheila G. Smith
Sheila G. Smith, 48, of Carpentersville died September 10, 2002 at Midwestern Regional Medical Center in Zion, IL.
She was born July 31, 1954, in Chicago, to Manuel and Hattie Gillenwater. She was a cashier for Home Depot in Elgin for 12 years.
Survivors include her husband, Bruce Smith of Carpentersville; two daughters: Teresa and Kristy Smith, both of Carpentersville; her grandchildren: Nicole and Alicia Featherstone of Carpentersville; her brothers: Ronald Gillenwater of Evansville, IN and David Gillenwater of Cicero, IL. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Carl Steven Gillenwater and John Clayton Gillenwater.
Visitation will be Thursday, 3-9 p.m., at the Windridge Funeral Home, 104 High Rd, Cary, where services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. Brother Roy Hazlerig of Twin Oaks Baptist Church of Carpentersville to officiate.

Donald H. Fehrman
Donald H. Fehrman, 83 of Elgin passed away on Wednesday at Manor Care Center in Elgin. He was born on January 15, 1920, the son of Fred and Emma (nee Buck) Fehrman.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 57 in Elgin.
He is survived by one daughter, Donna (Wayne) Walker of Elgin; one son, John (Jill) Fehrman of Pennsylvania; one grandson, Eric (Sarah) Walker of St. Charles.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marge in 1999; two brothers, Walter and Morris.
A private family service will be held. Memorials may be made to the American Legion Post 57.

Barbara Ann Insco
Barbara Ann Insco, 67 of Carpentersville died Thursday, September 11, 2003 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Chicago on December 14, 1935, the daughter of Martin and Florence Ries. Barbara was a 35 year resident of Carpentersville and retired from Motorola after 25 years of service.
She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Eddrick D. Insco; her son, Kenneth (Teddy) Insco of Perry, Michigan; her daughter, Brenda (Thomas) Fletter of Carpentersville; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Luella (Joseph) Batchlor of Deerfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Thomas Joseph Insco in 1970 and her daughter, Diana Lynn Insco in 1973.
Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee. Interment will follow in the Dundee Township East cemetery, East Dundee. Visitation will be on Saturday from 3:00-7:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 12:00 noon-6:00 p.m. in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee.

Edith J. Seegert
Edith "Tippy" Seegert, 94, formerly of Elgin died September 9, 2003 at Riverview Manor Nursing Home, Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin.
Mrs. Seegert was born July 3, 1909 in Elgin, Illinois to Paul and Lydia Botteron of Elgin. She married Clarence Seegert in 1929 in Elgin. Clarence died in 1942. Edith worked as a beautician and at the Milk Pail Restaurant, Dundee until her retirement. In 1995, Edith moved to Wisconsin Rapids to be near her son.
Survivors include her son, James (Judy) Seegert of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; one sister, Cecile Mischke of Elgin; six grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; her daughter, Sally Dolinski of Woodstock; one grandson; one great-grandson; two brothers; three sisters.
Edith's body will be cremated. Burial will be held at Bluff City cemetery in Elgin at a later date.
Edith enjoyed family, friends, gardening, cooking and travel.
She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She will be in our hearts forever.

Joseph Sipinski
Joseph Sipinski, 79, of Elgin passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2003 in Sherman Hospital. He was born April 1, 1924 in Poland and was the son of Jozef and Cecylia Sipinski.
He had been a resident of Elgin for the last 39 years and was a machinist employed by Hills-McCanna-Rockwell International for 36 years before retiring.
Member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Elgin.
Surviving are his wife, Valentina; three sons, Gene Sipinski of Elgin, John (Paula) Sipinski of Elgin, Joseph W. (Lisa) Sipinski of Elgin; four grandchildren, Joshua, Jeremy, Nicole, and Stephanie; two step-grandchildren, Shauna and Taylor Johnston.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; one brother.
Prayers will be said Monday at 9:30 a.m. in the Laird Funeral Home, 310 State St., Elgin and then Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mt. Hope cemetery, Elgin. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Prayers for the Christian Wake will be said Sunday at 4:00 p.m. Memorials may be given to St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Penelope Vida "Penny" Jorgensen
Penelope Vida "Penny" Jorgensen, 9 months, of Carpentersville passed away Friday, September 10, 2004 in Lutheran General Hospital, Park Ridge, IL. She was very much loved, and will be dearly missed by her many family and friends.
She is survived by her parents, Steven and Jacqueline (Bueno) Jorgensen Jr. of Carpentersville, IL; maternal grandparents, Jose M. and Jossy Bueno Zavala of Rockford, IL; paternal grandparents, Steven and Lourdes Jorgensen Sr. of Carpentersville, IL; her God parents, Tio Chuy and Laura "Bebe"; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2004 at 11 AM in the St. Monica's Catholic Church, Carpentersville with Rev. Fabio Garzon officiating. Burial will follow in Dundee Township East cemetery, East Dundee. Visitation will be on Monday from 4 to 8 PM in the Laird Funeral Home, 120 S. Third St., West Dundee, IL.

Ena A. Battello
Ena A. Battello (nee Parutto), 87 of California died Friday, Aug. 31, 2001 in California.
She was born in Washington on Sept. 15, 1913, the daughter of Louis and Jenny Parutto.
She was known as "the cookie lady" and had lived for 55 years in Renton, Wash. and 25 years in Cle Elum, Wash. She spent her summers in Streamwood, Ill.
Survivors include her children, Judy (Don) Gunderson of California and Pat (Jim) Carl of Streamwood; her grandchildren, Kathy, Dennis, Mike, Mary, Jenny, Ray, Mark and Ted; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John F.; a son, John J.; two brothers, Joe and George Parutto; and a sister, Mary Kula.
Memorial Services will be 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 15 in the Countryside Funeral Home, 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd.), Streamwood.
Visitation will be 6 p.m., Saturday until the time of services in the funeral home.

Violet Bruns
Violet Bruns, 90, recent resident of Daphne, AL passed away on September 5, 2001.
She was a native of Chicago, IL.
Survivors include her daughter, Diane (James) DeJonge of Daphne; sister-in-law, Dorothy (Elmer) Moll of Crystal Lake; her nieces; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 15 great-great grandchildren.
Violet was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bruns in 1979; her son, Bob Bruns in 1998; and daughter, Joan Hickey in 1999.
Memorial services will be 2 PM, Saturday, September 15 in King of Glory Church at Randall & Hopps in Elgin.

June A. Jones
June A. Jones, 64, of Elgin, passed away Thursday, Sept. 13, 2001 in Provena St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin.
She was born June 19, 1937 in Morocco, Ind., the daughter of Elmo and Velma Caul Dodge.
She had been a resident of Elgin for the past 25 years. She was employed by Provena St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin as a Registered Nurse for 27 years and was Head Nurse of the Out-Patient Chemotherapy Dept. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Elgin.
Survivors include her husband, Paul H. Jones, Jr., whom she married on June 21, 1963; a daughter, Kelly Jones of West Dundee; a son, Paul H. Jones III of Bloomington, Ind.; a grandson, Paul H. Jones IV; a sister, Laura Jean Dodge and a brother, Raymond Dodge, both of Lowell, Ind.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Elmo Dodge.
Funeral Services will be 6 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 16, 2001 in Calvary Baptist Church, 551 Arlington Ave., Elgin, the Rev. Tim Wills officiating. Graveside services will be held Monday in Sanders cemetery, Lowell, Ind.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 5 p.m. until the time of services in the church.
Memorials may be made to the Benevolent Fund at Calvary Baptist Church, Elgin.
Laird Funeral Home, Elgin is in charge of arrangements.

Barbara Ann Brennan
Barbara Ann Brennan, 57, of Elgin, died Monday, Sept. 10, 2001 in Provena St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin.
She was born in Evergreen Park, Ill. on July 30, 1944, the daughter of Robert E. and Margaret (nee Reidy) Brennan.
Survivors include her daughter, Tammy (Eric) Gurke of Elgin; a brother; and three sisters.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Richard Kenneth Wiggins.
Funeral Services will be 2 p.m., Saturday in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee.
Visitation will be from noon until the time of services on Saturday in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

MaryAnn Frankowski
MaryAnn Frankowski, 68, of Gilberts died unexpectedly Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2001 in Sherman Hospital, Elgin.
She was born in Chicago on Oct. 26, 1932, the daughter of Edward and Helen (nee Soch) Mallman.
MaryAnn was a 42 year resident of the area. She worked for 18 years at Simpson Electric in Elgin. She enjoyed fishing, gardening and craft projects.
Survivors include her husband, Alex, whom she married on June 14, 1952; three daughters, Cathy (Greg) Liepitz of Wonder Lake, Cynthia Towalski of West Dundee and Susan Coyne of Minocqua, Wis.; a sister, Jean (Ken) Brown of Mt. Prospect; six grandchildren, Jasun (Christine) Liepitz of Cary, Todd of Wonder Lake, Andrea Towalski of West Dundee, Natalie Coyne of Wauconda, Dustin Coyne of Minocqua, Wis. and Melanie Towalski of West Dundee.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Bruce Thompson.
Funeral Services will be 8 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 15, 2001 in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Saturday in the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Charles A. Lexow, Jr.
Charles A. Lexow, Jr., 78 of Carpentersville, died Tuesday, September 11, 2001 at the Sherman Westcourt in Elgin.
He was born in Chicago on January 14, 1923, the son of Charles A. & Florence (nee Kester) Lexow.
He was a 39 year resident of Carpentersville. He was a 32 year employee of American Airlines. A member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Carpentersville a W.W. II Army Veteran having served with the 103rd MP Platoon. He was a life member and Past Commander of 3 Links American Legion Post of Chicago. He was a member of American Legion Post #57 of Elgin. He was a member of Dundee Lodge 190 A.F. & A.M. He also was a volunteer at Sherman Hospital, Elgin.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Shirley E. (nee Radisch) Lexow, whom he married on June 12, 1943; a son, Paul of Carpentersville; a daughter, Nancy (Doug) Antonik of Mt. Vernon, Ill.; four grandchildren, Richard & Michelle Lexow and Matthew & Jennifer Antonik; and a sister, Bernice Monroe of Worth, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Charlotte Olson and Virginia Christensen.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Saturday in the Trinity United Methodist Church of Carpentersville, the Rev. Robert Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the Dundee Twp. East cemetery, East Dundee.
Visitation will be 3-9 p.m., Friday in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee and on Saturday in the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
Please omit flowers, memorials may be made to either the Trinity United Methodist Church or the Hospice of Northeastern Illinois, Barrington.
