Ellen E. Skinner
Ellen E. Skinner, age 75, of South Elgin, IL, died Wednesday, September 25 at her home in South Elgin.
She was born August 17, 1927 in Chicago to John and Hennrietta (Tiggelaeur) Lindgren. She was a hostess for many years with the Manor Restaurant. She had been involved with scouting, and while raising her four children she also cared for many children who were very dear to her.
Survivors include her son, Mark (Jan) Skinner of East Peoria, IL, two daughters, Dr. Kaye E. Skinner of Arizona and Karen Poquette of Plainfield, IL; a brother, Albert (Joann) Lindgren of Chicago Ridge, IL; two sisters, Jeannette Disabato of Arizona and Pearl Lindgren of Missouri; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth A. Skinner whom she married
on January 5, 1946 and who preceded her on February 7, 1988; a son, George; and a brother, John.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 30, 2002 at 11 a.m. at Wait Ross Allanson Elgin Chapel. Dr. Kaye E. Skinner will officiate. Burial will take place at Bluff City cemetery, Elgin. Visitation on Sunday, September 29 between 2-6 p.m. at the chapel.
The family has requested no flowers with memorials to Hospice of Northeastern IL, 410 S. Hager Ave., Barrington, IL 60010.
John H. Eslick
John H. Eslick, 73, of Elgin passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2003. He was born September 18, 1930 in Iron Mountain, MI and was the son of Howard and Esther Eslick.
Survivors include his wife, Mary (nee Murphy) Eslick; his daughter, Jean Eslick; his sister-in-law, Kathryn Green; a nephew, Joe Green; two nieces, Patty Green and Nancy (David) Cummings.
Prayer Service will be held on Monday, September 29 at 9:00 a.m. at Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral Home, 330 W. Golf Rd., Schaumburg to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Elgin for Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Queen of Heaven cemetery. Herman "Skipper" Gruber
Herman "Skipper" Gruber, 66, of Elgin passed away Thursday, September 25, 2003. He was born December 22, 1936 in Barrington, IL and was the son of Herman and Vera Gruber, and stepson of Oscar Hauri. Herman was a resident of Elgin, IL for most of his life, and had been employed by Baker-Road Co. prior to his retirement.
He is survived by three daughters, Ellen (Scott) Parrish of TN, Dale (Rick) Friese of Elgin, Pauline (Dennis Mika) Gruber of Downers Grove, IL; two sons, Daniel (Jill) Gruber of Grayslake, IL and Andrew (Lisa) Gruber of Crystal Lake, IL; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nancy Bates of CA, Carol Bauers of WI; one step-sister, Kathleen Myers of Wisconsin, IL; one step-brother, Lawrence Hauri of WI; two half-brothers, Kenneth Hauri of Gages Lake, IL, James Hauri of Waukegan, IL; his step-father, Oscar Hauri of WI.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Susan Gruber; one brother, Herbert Gruber.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin, with Chaplain Gary Blobaum officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be on Sunday from 12:00 noon until the time of services in the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Hospice of Northeastern Illinois.
Thomas P. Hardwick
Thomas P. Hardwick, 50, of Gilberts, died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2001 in his home.
He was born in Chicago on Aug. 11, 1951.
Tom was an eight year resident of Gilberts and a former many year resident of Des Plaines. He was employed by the Illinois State Police Dist. #15 for 26 years, having earned the rank of Master Sergeant. He was a member of the St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church of Dundee Township.
Tom is survived by his wife of 22 years, Peg, whom he married
on Oct. 20, 1979; two sons, James and Thomas, both of Gilberts; his mother, Dolores Hardwick of Park Ridge; a brother, James (Susan) Hardwick of Akron, Ohio; his father and mother in law, Kenneth and Evelyne Martin of Princeton, Wis.; and many friends.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m., Saturday in the St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church of Dundee Township, 18N377 Galligan Rd., the Rev. Allan R. Buss officiating. Burial will be private.
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m., Friday in the St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church of Dundee Township.

Anna E. Stege
Anna E. Stege, 87, of Elgin, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2001 in Provena St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin.
She was born May 12, 1914 in Elgin, the daughter of Frank and Julia Slipek.
She had retired from Chicago Rawhide and was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ and the Elgin Women of the Moose #610.
Survivors include a son, Norman (Elna) Bellows of Elgin; two step-daughters, Lucille Nates and Vivian Crandall; a sister, Margaret Friedland of Elgin; a sister-in-law, Eleanor Stege of Elgin; four grandchildren, Joseph Bellows of Elgin, Steven (Rhonda) Bellows of Sycamore, Susan (Ken) Personius of Sycamore and Dawn (David) Rivera of Genoa; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred L. Stege, whom she married
in 1948 and who preceded her in 1979; two sisters, Elizabeth Garrison and Francis; and three brothers, Louis, Joseph and George Slipek.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Monday, Oct. 1, 2001 in Wait Ross Allanson Elgin Chapel, the Rev. Thomas O'Connor officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park.
Visitation will be 11 a.m., Monday until the time of services in the funeral home.

Donald David Allen
Donald David Allen, age 79, of St. Charles, Illinois died Friday, September 28, 2001 at Delnor-Community Hospital in Geneva, IL.
He was born October 28, 1921 in Hampshire, IL to Edgar and Martha (Peters) Allen. For over 52 years, Mr. Allen was employed by Country Companies as an insurance agent in the Kane County area.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy; a son, Gary (Carol) Allen of South Elgin, IL; a sister, Vivian (Kenneth) Thurston of Aurora, Colorado and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Carol Ann.
Funeral services and visitation were held by Yurs Funeral Home, St. Charles.
Robert "Bob" Anthony Eisler
Robert "Bob" Anthony Eisler, 34, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2001 after a prolonged illness.
He was born in Belvidere, but resided in Michigan for the last two years. He is remembered by many as "Quarter Barrel", a previous stock car driver at Sycamore Speedway; and an avid "Taz" collector.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Vedia and William Thornton of Dearborn, Mich.; a sister, Darcy Eisler of Hoffman Estates; and a nephew, Jonas Eisler of Rockford.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert James Eisler; and a brother, Chad Eisler.

Harold L. Herrmann, Sr.
Harold L. Herrmann, Sr., 88, of Hampshire, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2002 at the Alderwood Healthcare Center in South Elgin.
He was born February 12, 1914 on the family farm in Hampshire Township, the son of Frank and Sally (Seisser) Herrmann.
Mr. Herrmann was a life long resident of Hampshire Township where he operated a dairy farm for many years. Harold married
Cora C. Finzel on March 5, 1938 and she passed away February 27, 1974. Following her death, he married
Bernice Patterson on December 18, 1976 in Sycamore. He was a life long member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church of Hampshire and a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters.
Surviving are his wife, Bernice; his children, Sister Mary Harold O.P. of Venice, IL, Stanley Herrmann of Belvidere, Donna Zoellner of St. Charles; seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; three step children, Bess (Ken) Andersen of Sycamore, James (Roxie) Patterson of Kirkland and Lydia (Steve) Johnson of Byron; 11 step grandchildren; and ten step great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Cora; his sons, Harold Jr "Sonny" in 1990 and Michael in 1995; grandson, Timothy Herrmann in 1991; two grandchildren in infancy; six sisters, Rose Conro, Delia Conro, Eleanor Conro, Lorena Beard, Martha Barry and Bertha Engel;and five brothers, Frank, Clarence, John, David and Tony Herrmann.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Tuesday, October 1, 2002 at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 297 E. Jefferson St., Hampshire with the Rev. Fr. Joseph Nicolosi officiating. Burial will be in the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 PM Monday at the Fredrick Funeral Home, 284 Park St, Hampshire with Rosary at 4 PM and Wake Services at 7:30 PM. Visitation will also be held prior to Mass on Tuesday at the church from 10 to 11 AM.

Alice E. Lietzow
Alice E. Lietzow of Elgin passed away Thursday, September 26, 2002 at Provena St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin. She was born in Elgin the daughter of Elmer and Anna Neukom Henryson. She had been a resident of Elgin all of her life. She was a graduate of Elgin High School in 1931.
Surviving are her daughter, Sally A. Lietzow of Elgin and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Husband, Edward A. Lietzow in 1985, one sister, Eleanor Lietzow, three brothers, Clinton, George and Norman Henryson.
Funeral Services will be held Monday at 10:00 A.M. at Laird Funeral Home, Elgin with Rev. Martin Blazer officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park, Elgin. Visitation will be held Sunday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
Tom N. Lincicome
Tom N. Lincicome, 66, of Elgin passed away Saturday, September 28, 2002 in Sherman Hospital.
He was born January 20, 1936 in Detroit, MI and was the son of Raymond and Marjorie Lincicome.
Tom was a graduate of North Central College of Naperville, IL. He was an Engineer, and had worked at Flexonics of Bartlett, Fermi Lab and Argonne National Labs. He retired from International Harvester in 2000. Tom enjoyed many things in life, most importantly his family. His love for the outdoors enabled him to enjoy many activities including hiking, camping, skiing, tennis, traveling, canoeing, sailing and visiting museums. His Christian faith and Scottish heritage was a major influence in his life and his legacy to his family. He is will loved and will be greatly missed. He was a member of Cornerstone United Methodist Church in Plato Center, a registered Professional Engineer, a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and a member of the Prairie Club of Chicago.
Survivors include his wife, Kay of Elgin; three daughters, Michelle (Jeff) Hayes, Renee (Tad) Dyer and Jennifer Lincicome; six grandchildren, Nicole, Jessica and Lucas Hayes, Matthew, Joshua and Nicholas Turnbull; two sisters, Audrey Munro and Patricia Russell; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM in the Cornerstone United Methodist Church in Plat Center (on Russell Rd near the corner of Muirhead Rd.), with Rev. Paul Meyers officiating. Burial will be in Plato Center cemetery.
Visitation will be on Monday in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin from 4 to 8 PM and on Tuesday at the church from 10:30 AM until the time of Services.

Alfred C. Wendlandt
Alfred C. Wendlandt, 72 of Algonquin, IL. died Thursday, September 26, 2002 at The Fountains of Crystal Lake. Born July 22, 1930 in Chicago to Conrad and Martha Wendlandt.
He had been employed by the Illinois Tollway Authority as a computer technician.
Survivors include his sons, Brian (Denise) of Huntley, Gregory (Sharyl) of St. Charles, Donald (Tammy) of Crystal Lake, James (Cynthia) of Popular Grove, Jeffrey (Dalila) of Newton, Mass.; a daughter, Susan (Charles) Sears of S. Elgin; a sister, Ruth (Lloyd) Salsburg of Pinecrest, FL and 15 grandchildren.

on April 7, 1956 and who preceded him on April 25, 1992.

C. Michael Kimball
C. Michael Kimball, 70, of Elgin, passed away Friday, September 26, 2003 in his home. He was born in DeKalb, IL and was the son of Clyde and Cecelia Kimball. Michael was a Veteran and served in the U.S. Army. He grew up in Hampshire, IL and lived his adult years in the Elgin area. Mike loved his family, and was a hard working, fun loving man, who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Judith (Hendricks), two daughters, Mary Colleen (Scott) Dary of Elgin and Dawn (Ron) Dollman of Hampshire, his sister, Patricia (John) Kozik of St. Charles, IL, and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Mary Elizabeth Peterson.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 8 p.m. in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin, with Rev. Joseph F. Kulak officiating. Burial will be private on Tuesday in the River Valley Memorial Gardens, West Dundee. Visitation will be on Monday from 4 p.m. until the time of services in the funeral home. Angeline Krepel
Angeline Krepel, 83, of Elgin passed away Friday, September 26, 2003 at Sherman West Court. She was born January 15, 1920 in Chicago, the daughter of Leo and Emma Van Hecke Van DeVeire. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Elgin, an avid gardener, and she enjoyed sewing and reading. She was an avid bridge player at Elgin Senior Center. Enjoyed roller skating for 50 years.
Survivors include her husband Harold of Elgin, three children: Nancy (Robert) Kelso of Jonesburg, IL, Paul (Candace) Krepel of WI, Raymond (Joan) Krepel of Macomb, IL, five grandchildren: Matthew and Ryan Kelso and Scott, Kate and Mark Krepel, and one brother, Albert Van DeVeire.
