Edna Skibo
Edna Skibo, 73, of Elgin passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2003 at her home. She was born November 12, 1929 in Crystal Falls, MI, the daughter of Joseph and Ali Holmes Benda. She had been a resident of Carpentersville from 1960 until moving to Elgin in 1979. She was a graduate of Elgin Community College in 1974 with a degree in nursing. She was employed at Sherman Hospital in Elgin as a registered nurse for 25 years before retiring.
Surviving are her husband, Eugene, whom she married
on August 28, 1957, daughter, Tracy Lynn Skibo of Quinn, MI, son Mark Rochleau of Arcata, CA, three grandchildren, Tristan and Sophie Rochleau and James Schmidt, sister, Barbara Benda of Crystal Falls, MI.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 4 at Langenburg Funeral Home, Stambuagh, MI. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery, Crystal Falls. Laird Funeral Home, Elgin is in charge of local arrangements.
G.P. "Mike" Bolger
G.P. "Mike" Bolger, age 65, of Cleveland, Ohio, and Naples, Florida, passed away September 28, 2001 in Cleveland.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Lawrence Bolger; two daughters, Marcia (Jeffrey) Tanner and Susan (Chris) Smith; four grandchildren, Erin and Lauren Tanner, Shannon and Haley Smith; a sister, Patsy (Glen) Lose; a brother, Gary Bolger.
Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, October 2 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 2256 Clague Rd., Westlake, Ohio. Visitation will be held Monday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Berry Funeral Home, 23040 Center Ridge Rd., Westlake. Richard I. Eickstaedt
Richard I. Eickstaedt, 54, of Princeton, IL, formerly of Dundee and Huntley, Illinois.
He was born October 15, 1946 in Elgin, Illinois, the son of Fredrick and Leona Salow Eickstaedt.
He married
Dee Mesick on July 30, 1988 in Princeton, IL. He was an auto mechanic lastly working at Sullivan's Greenhouse in Princeton. He was an avid gardener and Landscaper. He had been a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in East Dundee, Illinois.
He is survived by his wife, Dee (Mesick) of Princeton; a daughter, Laurie Eickstaedt of Elburn, Illinois; five step children, Rick Mesick and Julie (Tim Hult) Mesick, both of Princeton, James Mesick of Huntley, Illinois, Penny (Fred) Lange of West Dundee, Illinois and Debbie (Rich) Sabynicz of Ingleside, IL; two nieces; three nephews; seven grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Lou Thelan of North Carolina and Bonnie (John) Mabe of Marengo, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Kenneth.
Funeral Services will be at 11 AM Wednesday, October 3, 2001 at the Jensen Funeral Home, 208 South Euclid Ave, Princeton, IL, 61356 with Rev. Doug Zimmerman officiating. Burial will be private.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday in the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
Michael S. Kahl
Michael S. Kahl, 44, of Huntley passed away suddenly Thursday, September 27, 2001 at Provena St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin from injuries sustained in an auto accident on Rte. 47 in Plato Township.
He was born August 2, 1957 in Elgin, the son of Fred and Ruth (Kolberg) Kahl. He was a 1975 graduate Huntley High School and remained a loyal supporter of Huntley athletics. Mike married Susan M. Montanye on May 5, 1984 in Huntley.
Mr. Kahl was an active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Huntley, serving as a church Elder and a member of the choir. He was also an avid bowler. He was employed as a mail carrier for the Algonquin Post Office since March of 1999.
Surviving are his wife, Susan; his children, Brett and Brittany Kahl at home; his mother, Ruth of Huntley; a brother, Larry (Cynthia) Kahl of Huntley; nieces, Heidi (Raymond) Van Bevren of Roswell, Georgia, Heather Kahl of Winston Salem, NC, and Bryan Kahl of Huntley; his in-laws, Bill and Ruth Montanye of Marengo; a brother-in-law, Bill (Laurie) Montanye of Huntley and their children, Kurt, Keith and Jenna Montanye.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fred on October 5, 2000.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, October 2, 2001 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 11008 N. Church St., Huntley with Rev. Charles W. Kittel officiating. Burial will be in the Huntley cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 PM Monday at the Trinity Lutheran Church and prior to Services on Tuesday from 10 to 11 AM.

William R. Miller
William R. Miller, 83, of Carpentersville died Friday, September 28, 2001 at Sherman Hospital, Elgin.
He was born on October 5, 1917 in Redfield, South Dakota.
He was a 38 year resident of the area. He was former owner and operator of Miller's Welding and Repair Service of Gilberts and a member of the Operating Engineers Union.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy L. Bast Miller. They married
November 7, 1941; four children; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two brothers; and three sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Marion J. Miller.
Funeral Services will be on Tuesday at 1 PM in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee. Burial will be private.
Visitation will be on Monday from 3 to 8 PM in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee.

Alice Fujimoto
Alice Fujimoto, 80, of Huntley passed away early Sunday morning, September 29, 2002 in her home.
She was born June 4, 1922 in California.
She was raised and educated in Japan and returned to California with an Elementary Teaching Degree. Alice married
Shigeto Fujimoto in 1939 in California. Following the outbreak of World War II, Shigeto, Alice and their infant son, Albert, were sent to the internment camp in Poston, Arizona. Following their release, they settled in Huntley where Alice has resided for the past 59 years. She had been employed by the H. D. Catty Corp for 12 years and Union Special of Huntley for 24 years. Alice attended the First Congregational Church in Huntley.
Surviving are two sons, Albert and Roy Fujimoto; two sisters in Japan; and numerous nieces and nephews in Japan.
Mrs. Fujimoto was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Shigeto in 1980.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM Wednesday at the James A. O'Connor Funeral Home, 11603 E. Main St., Huntley with the Rev. Dr. Walter I. Thyng officiating. Following cremation, burial will be in Huntley cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Nola Knake
Nola Knake, 94, of Elgin passed away Sunday, September 29, 2002 in Michealsen Health Care in Batavia.
She was born November 7, 1907 in Orland Park, the daughter of Herman and Katherine Sartorium Krog.
She was a graduate of nursing school in 1931. Previous member of St. Paul United Church of Christ.
Survivors include a sister, Esther Lobsinger of Tombstone, AZ; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Henry.
Graveside Service will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park on Tuesday at 10 AM.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 9 AM until 9:45 AM in Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park St, Elgin.
Tom N. Lincicome
Tom N. Lincicome, 66, of Elgin passed away Saturday, September 28, 2002 in Sherman Hospital.
He was born January 20, 1936 in Detroit, MI and was the son of Raymond and Marjorie Lincicome.
Tom was a graduate of North Central College of Naperville, IL. He was an Engineer, and had worked at Flexonics of Bartlett, Fermi Lab and Argonne National Labs. He retired from International Harvester in 2000. Tom enjoyed many things in life, most importantly his family. His love for the outdoors enabled him to enjoy many activities including hiking, camping, skiing, tennis, traveling, canoeing, sailing and visiting museums. His Christian faith and Scottish heritage was a major influence in his life and his legacy to his family. He is will loved and will be greatly missed. He was a member of Cornerstone United Methodist Church in Plato Center, a registered Professional Engineer, a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and a member of the Prairie Club of Chicago.
Survivors include his wife, Kay of Elgin; three daughters, Michelle (Jeff) Hayes, Renee (Tad) Dyer and Jennifer Lincicome; six grandchildren, Nicole, Jessica and Lucas Hayes, Matthew, Joshua and Nicholas Turnbull; two sisters, Audrey Munro and Patricia Russell; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM in the Cornerstone United Methodist Church in Plat Center (on Russell Rd near the corner of Muirhead Rd.), with Rev. Paul Meyers officiating. Burial will be in Plato Center cemetery.
Visitation will be on Monday in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin from 4 to 8 PM and on Tuesday at the church from 10:30 AM until the time of Services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cornerstone United Methodist Church or the American Diabetes Association.
Erma J. Ehlert
Erma J. Ehlert, 96 of West Dundee passed away Saturday at her home. She was born on August 6, 1907 in Burlington, Illinois. She is the daughter of Edgar and Alice (Johnnin) Bell.
She lived most of her life in Carpentersville until she moved to West Dundee. She was a Girl Scout leader in Carpentersville for many years. She enjoyed working for DC Cook for many years.
She is survived by two nephews, Jack (Agnes) Bell of Bartlett, Tom Bell of Crystal Lake; two nieces, Eunice of AZ and Barbara of Crystal Lake; a special friend, Connie Bombka of East Dundee; a God Child Cheryl Horvath of FL.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glenn; one sister, Blanch Green; three brothers, Donald, Charles, and Howard.

Richard Scott (Negron) Erling
Richard Scott (Negron) Erling, 37 of Cape Coral, Florida formerly of Elgin passed away Thursday, September 25 from injuries from a construction accident. He was born August 27, 1966 in Elgin and was the son of Dale and Nancy Erling.
Surviving are his wife, Lynn; one daughter, Amber Erling of Streamwood, IL; two stepchildren, Tanya and Ryan Baum of Elgin; his parents, Dale and Nancy Erling of South Elgin; one sister, April Erling of South Elgin; one brother, David (Renee) Erling of Lake in the Hills, IL; his father, Rene Negron of Elgin; two step-grandchildren, Taylor Baum and Mikayla Crumpton of Elgin.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. in the Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin with Rev. Thomas Niermann officiating. Burial will be in Bluff City cemetery. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Cyrill (Short) Hare
Cyrill (Short) Hare, 57, of Milwaukee, WI, formerly of Dundee, passed away September 27 at St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee after a fight with cancer. He was born may 16, 1946 in Winona, MN, the son of Herbert and Josephine Hare.
Survivors include his mother, Josephine Chuffo; three children, Brian and Becky Hare of Milwaukee, Michelle Zded; granddaughter, Ashley Hare of Dundee; one brother, Edward Hare of Elgin; one sister, Dianne (Willie) Simon of Elgin.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Hare; sister Ethel A. Hare. Funeral services will be Thursday, October 2 at 1:00 p.m. at Borgwarbt Funeral Home, Milwaukee. There will be no visitation. Burial will be private.

Cynthia L. Hoth, 49, of Port St. Lucie, FL, formerly of Carptentersville, IL, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2003 at her home.
She was born December 23, 1953 in Evanston, IL.
She was a graduate of Barrington High School in Barrington, IL.
Survivors include her mother, Elaine Hoth of Port St. Lucie, FL; and a brother, Lawrence (Therese) Hoth of Green Valley, AZ.

Nellie Iona Kliemann
Nellie Iona Kliemann (nee Benedict), 90, of Lake Marian, formerly of Marine City, MI died Sunday, September 28, 2003 at her home. Born on November 17, 1912 in Vanwert, Ohio to Benjamin and Maggie (nee Albright) Benedict.
Nellie is survived by her children, Arthur H. (Yong Cha), Dale A. (Nancy), and Bruce C. (Joanne) Hayden, Delores (Ed) Redding, Mildred (Robert) Everest, Lyndall Kliemann, Ann (Gary) Woods, Rudolph (Judy) Kliemann, Jr. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Charles Hayden, second husband Rudolph J. Kliemann, sons, Franklin D. and Raymond C. Hayden and three grandchildren.
Funeral and interment will be in Marine City, MI.
