Michael Joseph Aasen
Michael Joseph Aasen, 37, formerly of South Elgin, died October 14, 2003. He was born April 25, 1966 in Chicago, IL, the son of Carl and Patricia Aasen.
Survivors include his parents, Carl and Patricia Aasen; his siblings, Debbie (Jon) Swanson, Carl Aasen, Tammy (Vince) Schubbe; Sandy (Dale) Coughran, Robert (Susie) Aasen, Jenny (Jeff) Jackson; nieces and nephews, Brad, Nicky, and Eric Swanson; Amber, Amanda, Andrew Aasen, Vinnie, Stephanie, Timothy Schubbe, Becky, Jake Coughran, Taylor Aasen, D.J., Jessica, Jeffrey, Ashley Jackson; aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Funeral services and burial are private. There will be no visitation.

James R. Reams Sr.
James R. Reams Sr., 78, of Elgin passed away Monday, October 13, 2003 at Sherman Hospital, Elgin.
He was born October 7, 1925 in Kellerton, Iowa, the son of Roy and Georgia Stewart Reams.
He grew up in Taylorville, IL and had been a resident of Elgin for over 40 years. He had been employed by the State of Illinois as a mechanic for over 25 years before retiring. He was a projectionist in the Elgin area for many years. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth Bingham Reams, whom he married on March 19, 1955; four daughters, Barbara Hutson of Westchester, Colo, Jenny Pollnow of Elgin, Carol (Ted) Withers of Kirkland and Liz Reams of Elgin; a son, James R. Reams Jr., of Elgin; ten grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and a sister, Esther Smith of California.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Billy R. Reams in 1977.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 18, 2003 at 2 PM at Laird Funeral Home, Elgin. Burial will be private.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 12 Noon until the time of services.
Memorials may be given to the charity of ones choice.

Daryl J. Conro
Daryl J. Conro, 69, of Elgin passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2004 in his home, from Lou Gehrigs Disease (ALS), only 10 months after being diagnosed. He was born August 29, 1935 in Hampshire and was the son of Edward and Berneice Conro. He had been a resident of Elgin most of his life and he was a self-employed Carpenter Contractor, before retiring.
He was a veteran, having served in the Army. Member of Catholic Foresters, Court 729. Former member and past president of the Citizens Advisory Council of Elgin.
Survived by his wife, Marion; two sons, Steve (Pam Anderson) Conro of Sugar Grove, IL and Michael Conro of Montreal, Canada; two step-daughters, Vicki (Ken) Kellenberger of Elgin and Sara Fox of South Elgin, IL; one step-son, Steve (Pam) Schmidgall of Elgin; five grandchildren; his mother, Berneice Conro of Elgin; one brother, Darwin (Beverly) Conro of Hampshire, IL.
preceded in death by his father; one brother, Fr. Ron Conro.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00 AM in the Wait-Ross-Allanson Funeral Home, 51 Center St., Elgin with Fr. Edward Seisser officiating. Burial will be in Bluff City cemetery. Visitation will be Friday in the funeral home from 4:30 to 9:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to: Les Turner ALS Foundation, 8142 Lawndale, Skokie, IL 60076.

Sally J. Guetschow
Sally J. Guetschow, 69, of Carpentersville died Wednesday, October 13, 2004 at Sherman Hospital in Elgin. She was born in Elgin, Illinois on December 28, 1934. She was the daughter of Willis and H. Leona (nee Irving) Ehlert.
Mrs. Guetschow was a lifelong resident of Carpentersville and a life member of the First Congregational Church of Carpentersville. She was a former many year Sunday School Teacher and a member of the Women's Fellowship.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Gene A. Guetschow, whom she married on July 18, 1953; their sons, Steven (Diane) Guetschow and Robert (Kim) Guetschow both of Carpentersville; her granddaughter, Heather, and her grandsons, Cole, Christopher and Zachary; her sisters, Joanne (Peter0 Pratt of Kirkland, and Jeanne Schartow of Carpentersville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Lois Ciraulo in 1992.
Funeral services will be on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee. Private Burial will be in the Lakewood Memorial Park cemetery, Elgin. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. Please omit flowers; memorials may be made to either the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.

Kenneth H. Mick
Kenneth H. Mick, Sr., 71, of Carpentersville passed away October 14, 2004 at his home.
He was the beloved husband of Mary Mick, nee Hewlett. Loving father of Kenneth (Peggy) Mick, Jr., Dennis (Candy) Mick, Cheryl Mick-Chandler of Flippin, Arkansas, and step-father of Bob (Sue) Hewlett, Mario (Rochelle) Hewlett, and Bernie Hewlett. Proud grandfather of 12 and great-grandfather of eight. Kind uncle to three nieces and nephews. Cherished son of the late Clarence (Myrtle) Dobbins.
Kenneth was employed as a driver for over 25 years for Elgin Motors, located in Elgin, Illinois. He was also a 30 year member of Teamsters Local 330.
Friends may gather Saturday, October 23, 2004 from 10:00 a.m. until time of the memorial service 10:30 a.m. at Windridge Memorial Park, 7014 South Rawson Bridge Road, Cary, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to Hospice of Northeastern Illinois, 410 South Hager Avenue, Barrington, Illinois 60010 would be greatly appreciated.

Elizabeth Sutoris-Thoren "Betty"
Elizabeth Sutoris-Thoren, 80, of Diamondhead, MS died Thursday, October 14, 2004 in Slidell, LA.
She was a native of Navoo, IL and a resident of Elgin, IL, before moving to Diamondhead, MS in 1992. She was of the protestant faith. She was a member of the Garden Club, and the Newcomers Club of Diamondhead, MS and an avid golfer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Frances Soetaert Dunavon.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Thoren of Diamondhead, MS; son, Richard Sutoris; a daughter, Martha Spurway of Meade, WA.
Her services will be private, at a later date.
Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis, MS is in charge of arrangements.

Dorothy Ann Chamberlain
Dorothy Ann Chamberlain, age 88, of Carterville and formerly of Elgin died Monday, October 13, 2003 at Oak Grove Rehabilitation Center in Carbondale.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2003 at 12:15 p.m. in the Bluff City cemetery in Elgin, Illinois, with the Rev. Martin Balder officiating.

Santos Cortes
Santos Cortes, of Elgin died Wednesday, October 15, 2003.
He was born in Puerto Rico.
Santos moved to the U.S. in 1955 and had been a resident of Elgin since 1966. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, and will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Anastacia; a son, Angel of Elgin; three daughters, Sonya, Lucy and Santa Cortes, all of Elgin; five grandchildren, Tatiana, Anastacia, Julian, Kelvin and Sonya-Dylan; a brother, Pablo; and a sister, Victoria Cortes of Puerto Rico.
Visitation will be Friday, October 17, 2003 from 4 to 8 PM at the O'Connor-Leetz Funeral Home, with Funeral Mass being celebrated Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Elgin at 8:30 AM with Fr. Leonardo Maldonado officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Hope cemetery.

Stanley G. Mozina
Stanley G. Mozina, 73, of Elgin passed away Thursday, October 16, 2003 in his home.
He was born February 22, 1930 in Chicago, IL and was the son of Stanley and Amalia Mozina.
Stanley was the founder of Accuforms Inc. of Elgin in 1970, which is now Integrated Print and Graphics Inc. of South Elgin. Throughout his life Stanley enjoyed music and had been a Professional Bass Player for many years. He was a member of Medinah Country Club of Medinah, IL.
Survivors include his wife, Jean, whom he married on February 23, 1952; a son, Gary (Barb) Mozina of St. Charles, IL; three grandchildren, Kristen (Christopher) Gerski of St. Charles, IL, Sandra and Jennifer Mozina both of St. Charles, IL; and two sisters, Angeline Volk of Huntley, IL and Evelyn (Leonard) Gregorich of Elgin, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, October 17, 2003 at 8 PM in the Laird Funeral Home with Rev. Joseph F. Kulak officiating. Burial will be private.
Visitation will be on Friday from 4 PM until the time of services in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Provena St. Joseph Hospice.

Gale D. Banbury
Gale D. Banbury 74 of West Dundee, died Wednesday October 16, 2002 at Sherman Hospital in Elgin. he was born in Aurora October 14, 1928 to Harvey and Mary (nee Bullock) Banbury.
He worked as a sales manager for ABF for 24 years, he had worked his entire career in the freight industry. He was a member of St. James Episcopal Church of West Dundee for 23 years. He was an active member of the Elgin Elks Club #737, the Loyal Order of Moose #799, the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, the Phoenix Club of Aurora, the Fox Valley Traffic Club and a social member of the Canteen Club #57 in Elgin. Gale was a avid golfer, who accomplished a "Hole-in-one". He also enjoyed snowmobiling in the Illinois and Wisconsin areas.
He is survived by his wife: Shirley (nee Dermott/Dupre) whom he married July 28, 1979 at the St. James Episcopal Church. Children: Michele Dupre, Michael Dupre, David (Tonya) Banbury, Gary (Shelly) Banbury, Karen (David) Macdonald, Mary Banbury, Judy Stallman, Debra Sigler; (13) Grandchildren; (1) Aunt: Elizabeth Townsend of Aurora. Many nieces, nephews and Friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, (1) Sister: Eleanor Kain, and (1) Sister in infancy.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 12:00 (noon) in the St. James Episcopal Church, 516 Washington Street, West Dundee, the Rev. Tom Atamian will officiate. Burial will be private.
Visitation will be on Friday from 4-8 PM in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee and lie in state from 11 AM on Saturday until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. James Episcopal Church or The American Heart Association.

Harvey J. Depper
Harvey J. Depper, 89 of Naples, Florida, formerly of Elgin passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2002 in Heritage Manor in Mendota, IL. He was born December 4, 1912 in Belleville, Illinois and was the son of John and Elizabeth Depper. He had been a resident of Elgin for many years, moving to Naples in 1973. He had been a Sales Manager for Sears Roebuck and Co. for many years before retiring. He was a veteran having served in the Army during W.W. 2. He was an avid golfer and was one of the organizers of the Elgin Elks Golf Tournament held in Naples every year in February. He was a member of United Church of Christ of Naples Florida; member of B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge of Naples, Florida; member of American Legion Post No. 57 of Elgin, member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1307 of Elgin; member of Elgin Lodge No. 117 A.F. & A.M.; member of Medinah Temple; and member of Elgin Shrine Club.
He is survived by one son, Kenneth (Kathy) Depper of Triumph, IL., one daughter, Donna Depper of Delavan, Wisconsin, nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and his special friend, Buddy Smith of Elgin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Leona in 1992, one daughter Cheri Lee Powell, one sister Marcella Zellmer, and one brother in infancy.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 P.M. in the Laird Funeral Home, 310 S.State St., Elgin with Rev. Thomas O'Connor officiating. Burial will be in Naples Memorial Gardens, Naples, Florida. Visitation will be in the Laird Funeral Home on Friday from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Memorials may be given to St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 220 Division St., Elgin, Il. 60120.

Irene E. Werner
Irene E. Werner, 84, of Elgin, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2002 in Provena St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin. She was born April 23, 1918 in Elgin, and was the daughter of Emil and Elizabeth (Volkening ) Werner.
Irene was a resident of Elgin for all of her life and was employed with the Elgin National Watch Factory for many years prior to her retirement. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Elgin.
Survivors include five nieces, Judy (Jerry) Behnke, Janet Werner, Wendy Bahr, Wanda (Gary) Huntoon and Penny Null; three nephews, James (Nancy) Werner, William Null and Gordon (Donna) Null; and many great-nephews and nieces; her sister-in-law, Henrietta Werner.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Edward Werner and one sister, Florence Null.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00AM in the St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 220 Division St., Elgin, IL 60120, with Rev. Thomas O'Connor officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Friday from 4-8:00PM in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin, and on Saturday in the church from 10:30AM until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church or the Sherman Hospital Cancer Center.

Henrietta Grant
Henrietta Grant, age 80 of Elgin, IL. passed away Wednesday October 16, 2002 at her home. She was born February 4, 1922 in Elgin, the daughter of Louis and Bertha Schneiderwind Wascher.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Elgin. She retired from David C. Cook Publishing in 1984, after 22 years of service.
Survived by two daughters, Ann (Dale) Reimer and Margaret "Peggy" Grant of Elgin; one son, Jack Grant of Elgin; two grandsons; and one great-granddaughter.
preceded in death by her parents; her husband Elmer; and one brother, William.
Funeral Services will be Monday October 21, 2002 at 9:30 AM from Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park St., Elgin to St. Joseph Catholic Church for Mass at 10:00 AM. Fr. John Earl will officiate. Visitation will be Sunday October 20, 2002 from 4-8 PM at Madison Funeral Home, Elgin. Burial will be at Mt. Hope cemetery in Elgin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northeastern Hospice, 410 So. Hagger Ave., Barrington, IL. 60010.
