Dorothy E. Bailey
Dorothy E. Bailey, 88, of Elgin, former 18 year resident of Carpentersville, died Thursday, January 29, 2004 at Sherman Hospital in Elgin. She was born on January 26, 1916 in Seattle, Washington, the daughter of John and Albajorge Kristhanson.
She is survived by her son, Anthony "Tony" of Elgin; her former daughter-in-law and friend, Annabelle Sousa of Orlando, Florida; her grandson, David Bailey of Orlando, Florida; her granddaughter, Rosalind Bailey of Murfreesboro, TN; and her great grandson, Alexander Bailey. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Anthony; and her sister, Lillian.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 10 AM in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee. Burial will be private. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1 to 5 PM in the funeral home. 847-426-3436.

Robert Carr Boeckh
Robert Carr Boeckh, 74, died January 28, 2004 at Sherman Hospital after a long illness. He was born January 29, 1929, in Chicago.
Surviving are his wife, June; two daughters, Sandra Lasiowski (Matt) and Donna Sue Vigna (Kenneth); four sons, Robert H. Boeckh, Lester Boeckh (Patti), Patrick Boeckh (Donna) Jean and Kendall Boeckh ( Mary Ann); three step-children, Amy Gardner, Diane Vicars (Larry) and Steven Vehmeier (Georgann) and 21 grandchildren.
Robert served on the Bartlett Police Force and retired from Plote Excavating Co. Most recently he was working for the City of Elgin as a crossing guard at Illinois Park School.
Bob was cremated. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date to be announced.

Richard A. Diehl
Richard A. Diehl, 75, of Eastgate Manor in Algonquin formerly of Carpentersville died Wednesday at his home. He was born September 14, 1928 in Chicago to John & Martha (nee Meunch) Diehl. He was a WWII Navy Veteran, a member of the King of Glory Lutheran Church in South Elgin.
Richard is survived by his 10 children: Chet of Wauconda, Peg Lindberg of Elgin, Sharon (Pete) Rodriguez of Carpentersville, Ralph of Corpus Christie, TX, Nancy (Chuck) Bessel of Bruce, WI, Ken of Crystal Lake, Ray (Marie) of Elgin, Mary (Paul) Letheby of Algonquin, Jack (Rhonda) of South Elgin & Jeff (Lynn) of Plainfield. He is also survived by 20 Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Grace A. on Sept. 12, 1988, granddaughters Consuelo & Elena Rodriguez, and his second wife Frances (nee Stumme) in 2002.
Funeral services will be at 10AM on Friday in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee. The Rev. Keith Perry will officiate. Visitation will be on Thursday at the funeral home from 4-8PM with prayers at 8PM. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association and the Diabetes Association.

John J. Drougas, Sr.
John J. Drougas, Sr., 86, of Hampshire, passed away suddenly Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at Provena St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin.
He was born July 22, 1917 in Chicago, the son of George and Teofila (Deptuch) Drougas. John married Dorothy G. Rink at St. Ann Catholic Church on July 29, 1943 in Hazelwood, Pennsylvania. He was a decorated World War II Army Air Corps Veteran, serving in the 97th Bombardment Group as a Staff Sergeant. He received the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal with six Oak Leaf Clusters for flying 51 missions as a tailgunner on B-17s over Europe.
They resided in Pittsburg and Zanesville, Ohio before moving to the Chicago area. He had been employed as a warehouse supervisor for Polk Bros. for over 25 years.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy; daughters, Patricia (Robert) Skarbonkiewicz and Christine Beu, both of Hampshire; a son, Michael (Susan) Drougas of Yakima, Washington; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a sister, Evelyn Georgeacopolous of Fort Lauderdale, FL; two brothers, George Drougas and Arthur (Mary) Drougas, both of Chicago; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, John J. Drougas, Jr. in 1982; brothers, James and Thomas Drougas.
Private family services were held.

John Matthew Herrell
John Matthew Herrell, 45, of Trevor, Wisconsin, formerly of Carpentersville died Monday, January 26, 2004 at his home. He was born in Chicago on July 2, 1958.
John was a Draftsman and Engineer. He also was a very talented self-employed Tattoo Artist who went by the pen name of Froggy.
He is survived by his parents, Jimmy and Marge Herrell of Carpentersville; his daughter, Mitzi Margaret Herrell of Trevor; his fiance and Mitzi's mother, Maria Leimueller of Trevor; his brother, Jimmie of Carpentersville; his sisters, Carrie (Dan) Davis and Santina Waters both of Carpentersville; his nephew, Ronald Leisey, II and his nieces, Crystal, Linda, Danielle, Nichole, Carrie and Courtney.
John was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Funeral services will be on Saturday at 5 p.m. in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee. Burial will be private.
Visitation will be on Saturday from 3 p.m. until time of service.
Please omit flowers. A memorial in care of the family has been established in his memory.

Richard G. "Dick" Lindquist, Sr.
Richard G. "Dick" Lindquist, Sr. 71, of West Dundee, Hayward Wisconsin and Long Boat Key, Florida formerly of Sleepy Hollow died Monday, January 26, 2004 at the St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth, Minnesota.
He was born October 23, 1932, the son of Glenn H. and Beulah (nee Gurke) Lindquist. Dick was the former co-owner and co-operator for 45 years of Elgin Blueprintery. He was a 50 year member and former Past President of the Elgin Turners. Dick volunteered at the Hayward Carnegie Library and the Northwood's Humane Society. Dick loved to fish, golf and play cards and a die hard Chicago Cubs Fan. He had a great sense of humor and was always quick with a joke.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years: Margie (nee Steichen) Lindquist. They married on January 9, 1954. Their children; Candance Muzzey of Plato Center, Carrie Mellom of West Dundee and Pam (Randy) Reidl of Hayward, WI. Seven grandchildren; Stacy, Jimmy and Timmy Mellom, Matthew and Michael Lindquist, Kenny and Keely Muzzey. Three brothers; Bruce (Kay) of Cary, NC, Kenneth (Phyllis) and Keith (Donna) both of Hampshire, one sister; Carol (Robert) Taylor of Peach Tree City, GA and a sister-in-law; Phyllis Lindquist of Antioch.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son; Richard Jr., Twin daughters in infancy Mary & Carol, three Grandchildren in infancy and a brother Robert.
Family and Friends will meet for funeral mass on Saturday January 31, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. in the St. Catherine Of Siena Church, West Dundee. The Rev. Richard A. Rosinski, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in the River Valley Memorial Gardens, West Dundee. Visitations will be on Friday from 4-9 p.m. in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee and on Saturday in church from noon until the time of mass. In lieu of flowers, masses would be appreciated or memorials to either Hayward Carnegie Library or the Northwoods Humane Society would be appreciated.

Geraldine F. Pouncey
Geraldine F. Pouncey, 81, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at the Michealsen Health Center in Batavia, Illinois. She was born June 22, 1922 in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Grover and Elizabeth (nee Scott) Stuckey. She was united in marriage to Emmett A. "Cricket" Pouncey on November 12, 1948 in Wichita, Kansas.
She was formerly a member of the First Baptist Church in Augusta, Kansas, where she was active in many youth and senior citizen groups. Geraldine was also active with the DAR, as well as the Butler County 4-H programs.
Geraldine is survived by her two sons, Duane Pouncey of St. Charles and Scott (Carolyn) Pouncey of Elgin; three granddaughters, Megan, Chelsea and Kirby; and a great granddaughter, Tara Lee.
In addition to her parents, Geraldine is preceded in death by her husband, Emmet; and a brother, Scott Stuckey.
A Memorial service will be held on Monday, February 2, 2004 at 2:30 PM at the Ahlstrand Chapel in the Holmstad Retirement Community, 700 West Fabyan Parkway in Batavia. Reverend Larry Dieckman and Reverend Roger Crites will officiate. Private burial will be in Elmwood cemetery in Augusta, Kansas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Geraldine's name may be directed to The Michealsen Health Care Chapel Fund, 831 N. Batavia Ave., Batavia, IL, 60134.

Nancy J. Comenduley
Nancy J. Comenduley, age 64, of East Dundee died Friday, January 27, 2006 at Sherman Hospital in Elgin.
She was born on November 6, 1941 in Evanston, IL, the daughter of the late Frank and Cecilia (nee Paltek) Janusz. On May 19, 1964 in Chicago she married Bernard P. Comenduley. Nancy was an assistant manager with Illinois Material Handling in Elgin. She also was a 16 year employee of Page Jewelers in West Dundee.
She is survived by her husband, Bernard, of 41 years; five children, Daniel of Chicago, Michael of Elmhurst, Matthew (Haunani) of Arlington Heights, Melissa of Seattle, WA, and Steven of N. Las Vegas; three grandchildren, Blake, Brady and Burke Comenduley; two sisters, Annette (Larry) Staszkiewicz and Susan Janusz; a brother, Frank (Lynn) Janusz.
Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. in the St. Catherine of Siena Church, West Dundee. The Rev. Richard A. Rosinski, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in the Dundee Township East cemetery, East Dundee. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 30, 2006 from 3-9 P.M. in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee and on Tuesday in the Church from 9:00 A.M. until time of Mass.

Bertha Noble
Bertha Noble, 98 of Elgin passed away Thursday, January 26, 2006 at Sherman West Court, Elgin. She was born January 11, 1908 in Elgin the daughter of Karl and Victoria Bogle Hebeisen. She had been a resident of Elgin all of her life and had been employed at the Elgin National Watch Co. and Toastmaster before retiring.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Elgin. She was a former member of the Womens Aux. of the American Legion Post 57. She was an avid golfer and participated in the womens league's at Wing Park and Spartan Meadows.
Surviving are one brother, Alois Hebeisen of Geneva. Nieces, Viola Egger, Dolores Anderson, Marilyn Bender, Janet Riordan, Rosemary Pierro and Louis Areddia. Nephews, Robert Cox, Rick Cox, John Hebeisen, James Hebeisen, Thomas Hebeisen, Charles Hebeisen and William Weber.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Her beloved husband, Elmer. Sisters, Marie Weber and Agnes Cox. Brothers, Anthony, Joseph and Carl Hebeisen.
Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 31 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Elgin with Rev. James Canova officiating. Burial will be in River Valley Memorial Gardens, West Dundee. Visitation will be held Monday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Laird Funeral Home, Elgin Tuesday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of mass in the church. Memorials may be given to the charity of one's choice.

Charles A. Bradley
Charles A. Bradley, 94, of Elgin passed away Friday, January 26, 2001 in Sherman West Court, Elgin.
He was born December 25, 1906 in Elgin, the son of William and Theresa Wachter Bradley.
He had been a resident of Elgin all of his life. He was employed by the Elgin National Watch Company for over 28 years before retiring. He was a veteran of World War Two serving in the Navy as a Petty Officer, Ship Fitter 3rd Class stationed at the Submarine Base at Pearl Harbor. He was a member of St. Laurence Catholic Church of Elgin. He was a former member of VFW Post 1307 in Elgin and the American Legion Post 57 of Elgin.
Surviving are his son, William (Katherine) Bradley of Elgin; grandsons, Eric (Jennifer) Bradley of Elgin and Mark Bradley of South Elgin; great granddaughters, Katelynn and Karlee Bradley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Hilda DeLatte Bradley in 1999; three brothers, Robert, William and Edward Bradley; six sisters, Anne Burgeson, Mabel Beck, Margaret Mulhaney, Lauretta Keath, Ruth Davis and Hazel Grover.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 9:45 AM in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin to St. Laurence Catholic Church for Mass at 10 AM with Rev. Richard Russo officiating. Burial will be private.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 8:30 AM until the time of services in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the St. Laurence Catholic Church Building Fund.

William Goode
William Goode, 87, of Elgin passed away Friday, January 26, 2001 in Sherman West Court, Elgin.
He was born June 27, 1913 in LaGrange, IL, the son of John and Emma Knust Goode.
He had been a resident of Elgin most of his life. He was a veteran of World War Two, serving in the Army in Europe.
Surviving are a sister, Pearl Baustert of Elgin; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Adele and Marion; and three brothers, Joe, Edward and Raymond.
Private funeral services were held in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the charity of one's choice.

John L. Miller
John L. Miller, 51, of Carpentersville died Friday, January 26, 2001 at Sherman Hospital in Elgin.
He was born in Chicago on September 26, 1949.
He was a 21 year resident of the Carpentersville area. He was a member of the St. Monica Church of Carpentersville.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Trude Michel Miller. They married on September 11; two daughters, Bridget (Chris) Zikos of Hoffman Estates and Monica Miller of Chicago; his parents, Clarence and Ruth (nee Duhnsen) Miller of Arlington Heights; two brothers,Jerry (Pat) Miller of Salem, Wisconsin and James Miller of Wheeling; two sisters, Joanne (Steve) Walczynski of Arlington Heights and Jeanne (Tony) Hartmann of Streamwood; his mother-in-law, Mary Michel of Chicago; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday at 9:15 AM in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee to St. Monica Church of Carpentersville for Mass at 10 AM. Burial will follow in the Evergreen cemetery, Barrington.
Visitation will be on Monday from 5 to 9 PM in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee.
