Debra Ann Schuldt (nee Livingston)
Debra Ann Schuldt (nee Livingston), age 39, passed away January 19, 2006 at Good Shepherd Hospital. She was a longtime resident of Carpentersville.
Beloved wife of Todd; loving mother of David, Jessica, Kaitlyn and Jacob; fond sister of Deanna (James) Hicks and Fred (Robin) Livingston, Jr.; beloved daughter of Fred and Carolyn Livingston; fond aunt of Joey, Alex, Brittany, Jimmy, Fred III and Shane.
preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents.
Debra was a wonderful mom, loving wife and a kind friend. Deb had a beautiful smile. She will always be remembered for her kindness and what a beautiful person she was.
The Celebration will be January 29, 2006 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, East Dundee from 3:00-8:00 PM. A memorial service will be held at the church January 30, 2006 at 5:00 PM. Donald M. Schleifer, M.D.
Donald M. Schleifer, M.D., 73, of Crystal Lake died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2001 in his home.
He was born in Chicago on July 16, 1927, the son of Fredrick and Winifred (nee Bailey) Schleifer.
He was a 42 year resident of the area and a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. He received his B.S.M. and M.D. from the University of Illinois, College of Medicine, Chicago. He did his residency and internship at the Cook County Hospital, Chicago. From July to Dec. 1956 he was at the Northwestern University Medical School doing Obstetrical and Gynecological Pathology. He was in private practice from March 31, 1958 to Nov. 14, 2000 when he retired.
He was a Diplomate of The American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1962. He was past Chairman OB/GYNE Department of both Sherman Hospital and Provena St. Joseph in Elgin. He was past president of Provena St. Joseph Hospital Medical Staff from 1971-9172 and Sherman Hospital from 1988-1989. He was an Assistant Professor at Rush Medical College, Rush University, Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center from 1995 to present. He was also a consultant at the Illinois Masonic Hospital, Chicago.
He belonged to many organizations such as the Elgin Seminar Club; Medical staff of Medinah Temple Chief of Medical Staff in 1980; the Elgin Masonic Temple Lodge #117, the Scottish Rite; The American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology; the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists; the American Medical Association; Ill. State Medical Society; Kane County Medical Society; Ill. Obstetrics and Gynecological Assoc.; American Society of Abdominal Surgeons; International Infertility Assoc.; Gynecological Urology Society; American Geriatrics Society; Flying Physicians Assoc.; the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons; American Cancer Society; Assoc. of Gynecological Laparoscopists; the Gynecologic Laser Society Pan American Medical Assoc. and the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology.
He was a Corporate Board Member and Trustee of Rockford Blue Cross and Blue Shield; a Corporate Member of Chicago Blue Cross and Blue Shield; was on the Board of Directors at Sherman Hospital; and the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.
He was the recipient of Sherman Hospital's Prestigious Medal of Honor on Sept. 22, 2000.
Survivors include his wife, Dina (nee Barajas) Schleifer, whom he married
on June 15, 1979; his children, Philip, Fredrick, Robert, Winifred and Donald; a grandson, William Donald; a granddaughter, Megan Marie; and two brothers, Philip Schleifer M.D. of Elkmound, Wis. and Thomas Schleifer of Wisconsin.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Saturday in the Immanuel Lutheran Church, East Dundee, the Rev. Scott Seidler officiating. Burial will be in Windridge cemetery, Cary.
Visitation will be 2-9 p.m., Friday in the church.
Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee is in charge of arrangements.

Manolia Schult
Manolia Schult, 87, of Carol Stream, formerly of Elgin, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2001 in her home.
She was born August 28, 1913 in St. Louis, MO and was the daughter of William and Lucy B. (Kent) Burroughs.
Manolia was a Registered Nurse. She graduated from St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing and worked for over 60 years in her profession. She received her Baccalaureate Degree of Nursing when she was in her 60's. She worked as a nurse for McGraw-Edison for over 20 years, as Assistant Director of Nursing at Sherman Hospital, was a nurse for Jewel Tea Co., Director of Nursing at the Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, worked for the Illinois Department of Public Health, and was employed by the Joint Commission for Accreditation of Hospitals for many years prior to her retirement at the age of 84. She was a lifelong member of Immanuel Baptist Church of Elgin, member of the Order of Eastern Star, member of the Friends of Judson College, and member of St. Joseph Hospital Alumni.
She is survived by daughter-in-law, Dorothy Schult of Carol Stream; three grandchildren, Lori (Tony) Hefel of Kansas, Lisa (Mark) Murphy and Michael (Deanna) Schult, both of Carol Stream; and five grandchildren, Jennifer, Adam, Caitlin, T.J. and Sean.
In addtion to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence in 1978; three sisters; a brother; two sons, James D. Schult in 1980 and Fred in infancy; and great-granddaughter, Jessica Hefel.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 29 at 11:30 AM in the Immanuel Baptist Church, 500 St. Charles St., Elgin with Rev. John Stensrud officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, Jan. 28, from 3-8 PM in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin and also on Monday at the church from 11 AM until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Immanuel Baptist Church.
Katherine F. Vick
Katherine F. Vick, 90 of Raleigh, NC, formerly of Elgin passed away Monday, January 22, 2001 in Raleigh.
She was born April 7, 1910 in Elgin, the daughter of Gustav and Catherine Reber Foell.
She had been a resident of Elgin most of her life before moving to North Carolina in 1987. Along with her husband, Harold A. Vick, they owned and operated Vick Drug Store in Elgin.
Survivors include her daughter, Judith Olson of Raleigh, NC; son, Tom (Mary) Vick of Greensboro, NC; three grandchildren; and three great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold A. Vick in 1984; two sisters, Ann Scheitlin and Marie Foell; four brothers, Otto, Walter, John and Gustav Foell
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 27, 2001 at 11:00 AM in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin, with the Apostolic Christian Church in charge of services. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park, Elgin.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of services in the funeral home.

Henry Zwicky
Henry Zwicky, a resident of Glendale, CA, formerly of Elgin, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2001 in Los Angeles, CA following a lengthy illness. Henry was born in Chicago, August 18, 1910, the son of Elsbeth Lietsinger and Henry Zwicky Sr.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Marjorie; three sons, Henry M. Zwicky of Santa Anna, CA, Larry B. Zwicky of Glendale and Lon Scherf of Kingman, AZ; and a step-daughter, Barbara Stowell Gosensen; two sisters, Dorothy Olson of Yucaipa, CA and Betty Brown of Alturas, CA and many nieces and nephews.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Jacob Zwicky of Phoenix, AZ and another brother, George Zwicky of Crystal Lake, IL and a sister Barbara Zwicky.
A service was held for Henry on Thursday, January 11 at 2:30 PM in the Faith Chapel of the Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills Mortuary. Interment took place following the service in the Murmuring Trees section of Hollywood Hills cemetery.

Helen DeWitt, 95, of Elgin, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2002 in Princeton, IL.
She is survived by a daughter, Sue Kosciewicz of Princeton.

Elsie L. Kelley
Elsie L. Kelley of Elgin, age 93, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2002 at Asta Care Center. She was born October 8, 1908 in East Dundee, the daughter of Henry and Minnie Jundnickel Puffpaff.
Elsie was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Elgin. She had been employed by the Waltham Watch and retired from Joseph Spiess Co.
Survivors include one daughter, Nancy (Sommers) Griffith; two grandchildren, Robert Buhrow of Elgin and Renee Jean Lieavitt of Byron, IL; two great grandchildren, Eric and Danielle Lieavitt; and a very special friend, Ruth Puffpaff, along with several nieces and nephews.

George W. Pierce
George W. Pierce, 83, of Elgin, passed away Friday, January 25, 2002. He was born May 21, 1918 in Elgin, and was the son of Harry and Margaret Johnson Pierce. He had been a resident of Elgin all of his life. George was employed by the City of Elgin as a Fireman for 34 years prior to his retirement. He was a Life member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #799, a 50 year member of the Elgin YMCA and a Ham Operator for over 50 years.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Luscher Pierce of Elgin; a daughter, Bonnie (Thomas) Taylor of Muncie, IN; a son, Dennis (Sue) Pierce of Elgin; three grandchildren, Michelle (Dan) Dodeler, Eric and Brian Taylor; a great-grandchild, Emily Dodeler; a sister, Licille (Foster) U'Dell of Pompano Beach, FL; three step children, David (Dee) Luscher of Elgin, Kathleen (Jerry) McGraw of Elgin and Richard Luscher of OR; four step grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren.

Lorraine R. Ripczinski
Lorraine R. Ripczinski, age 84, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2002 at Sherman Hospital. She was born in Minneapolis, MN to Frederick and Emma Ripczinski on August 8, 1917. She graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1939 with a degree in Physical Education. Received a M.S. from University of Wisconsin in 1953. She taught in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Highland Park, IL and taught kindergarten at McKenley for 35 years.
Retired in 1985 from U-46 and taught at Bright Beginners Pre-School for several years before retiring permanently. She was a member at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and active in Kane County Credit Union.
Miss Lorraine said she "never found a child she did not like". She had a gift for making each child feel special.

Clifford Clayton Habbley, 81, of Harvard passed away Sunday, January 22, 2006 at Mercy Harvard Hospital. He was born March 18, 1924 in Lily Lake, IL, a son of Frank and Mary Anna Meyer Habbley. He married
Marcella M. Dorow on May 25, 1946 at Zion Lutheran Church in Marengo, IL. He farmed in the McHenry County area and then worked at Woodstock Die Cast as a polisher, buffer and inspector until his retirement. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. He enjoyed gardening, card games, puzzles and dancing.
Survivors include his wife, Marcella of Harvard; five children, Ronald (Judy) Habbley of Woodstock, Randy (Sandy) Habbley of Union, Peggy (Richard) Master of Woodstock, Kurt (Debby Giles) Habbley of Harvard and Jeff (Mary) Habbley of Marengo; nine grandchildren, Jason Habbley of Chicago, Becky (Steve) Tanner of Madison, WI, Tom Habbley of Hanover Park, IL, Kristy Habbley of Schaumburg, Ryan Habbley of Marengo, Cole Habbley of Marengo, Adam Habbley of Union, Bobby Master of Woodstock and Chase Master of Woodstock; a sister, Lillian Schmarje of Woodstock; a sister-in-law, Lavalle Sandblom; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Emily, Gertrude and Edna; and a brother, Lawrence.

Elisa Millard, 73, of South Elgin passed away Sunday, January 22, 2006 at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN. She was born September 21, 1932 in San Bernardino, CA, the daughter of Frank and Grace Amador Reyes. She had been a resident of South Elgin since 1977.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Elgin, and member of NAIM with the church.
Surviving are one son, Edwin (Judy) Millard of South Elgin; three grandchildren, Elisa Mary, Monica Grace and John Edwin Allen Millard, who were her pride and joy; seven brothers and sisters; and many family and friends who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John A. Millard; two brothers; and two sisters.
Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 28, 2006 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Elgin. Burial will be in Mount Hope cemetery, Elgin.
