Floyd E. Reiser
Floyd E. Reiser, 73, of Marengo, formerly of Hampshire, died Thursday, January 15, 2004 at Sherman Hospital in Elgin, IL. He was born on February 16, 1930 in Elgin to Edward V. and Lorena E. Seyller Reiser. On October 5, 1991 in Marengo at Zion Lutheran Church, he married
Lois Freise.
Floyd was a U.S. Army Korean veteran, former proprietor of Dreymiller and Kray in Hampshire and since his retirement for the last 12 years at Wisted's Supermarket in Marengo. He was a member of the Hampshire American Legion Post.
Survivors include his wife of Marengo; a daughter, Cheryl (George) Leutke of Mondovi, Wisconsin; a son, Edward (Carol) Reiser of Genoa, IL; four grandchildren, George and Christine Leutke and Kelly and Amy Reiser; a brother, Lowell "Whitey" (Arlene) Reiser of Hampshire; four sisters, Leila "Sis" (Norman) Deihs of Ft. Atkinson, Wisconsin, Rita (Morris) Kiefer and Carol "Jean" (Gaylord) Schendel all of Bull Shoals, AR and Carolyn "Joan" (Henry) Theis of Maple Park, IL.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 PM Sunday, January 18, 2004 at Zion Lutheran Church, 412 E. Jackson St., Marengo, IL, 60152 and from 10:30 AM Monday, January 19, 2004 until time of funeral service at 11:30 AM with Pastor Glen Borhart officiating. Interment will be in McHenry County Memorial Park, Woodstock, IL. Memorials in his name to Zion Lutheran Church.

Ronald L. Tewell
Ronald L. Tewell, 79, of Elgin, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2004 in the Provena St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin. He was born February 4, 1924 in Morgan, KY and was the son of Josephine Dance. Ronald was a Veteran and served in the U.S. Marine Corps during W.W.II. He had worked for the Milwaukee Road 38 years prior to his retirement.
Survivors include his wife, Armilda, whom he married
April 5, 1945; two daughters, Diana Watermann of Elgin, and Marsha (Steve) Bryant of Elgin; three grandchildren, Todd (Jennifer) Watermann, Kimberly Watermann, and Jeff Bryant; two great-grandchildren, Derrick Streety and Lauren Watermann.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 20 at 10:00 a.m. in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin. Burial will be in Bluff City cemetery, Elgin. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3-7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
Ruth Heinz
Ruth Heinz, 88, of West Dundee, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2006 at Rosewood Health Care Center, Elgin.
Ruth was born February 13, 1917. She was a member of Bethleham Lutheran Church West Dundee. Ruth was retired from Wieboldt's where she worked for 20 years.
She is survived by her husband, Edward; one daughter, Kim Marie (Robert) Von Neupert of Waukegan; two sons, Paul (Janet) Heinz of MI and David (Sandra) Heinz of West Dundee; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

Gloria Pedtke
Gloria Pedtke, 62 of East Dundee died Sunday, January 15, 2006 at Sherman Hospital. She was born April 26, 1943 in Pharr, TX, the daughter of Joseph and Connie (Cortez) Sierra.
Gloria was a graduate of Northern Illinois University where she earned her Double-Masters in Education and Reading. She was a school teacher at District 300, and in her 40 years of education she taught at various schools. However, the majority of her teaching tenure was at Golf View Elementary School in Carpentersville where Gloria was a born teacher. Her life touched countless children in the Dundee/Carpentersville area, and her love of teaching did not stop with her job as she passed on her love of teaching to her several nieces and nephews, of which six are teachers. She blessed us all with her kindness, generosity and love of life.
Gloria is preceded in death by her father, Joe Sierra.
She is survived by her loving husband, Melvin of 40 years; one son, Chad of Dundee; mother, Connie Sierra; two sisters, Carmen Madrigal and Anna (Doug) Fischer; one brother, Joe Sierra; four nieces; and four nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2006 from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the O'connor-Leetz Funeral Home, Elgin. Vernell L. "Jim" Richardson
Vernell L. "Jim" Richardson, 86, of Virgil died Saturday, January 14, 2006 at his home. He was born May 20, 1919 in Hampshire. He was the son of Fred and Edith (Nee Brunschon) Richardson. Jim was a dairy farmer for most of his life and served as Kane County Farm Bureau Director of Dairy Herd Improvement. He was a 40 year member of the American Milk Producers Service, Inc, and a long time 4-H Leader in Kane County. Jim was also a member of the Saint Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church of Pingree Grove.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Norma, whom he married
on February 27, 1944 in the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in East Dundee. A daughter, Sandra Fischer of Elgin; a son, Steven (Jean) Richardson of Maple Park; three grandchildren, Matthew (Tyler) Richardson of Batavia, Mary (Kurt) Long of Sycamore and Julie Richardson of Maple Park; a step granddaughter, Jonetta Sherrill; two great granddaughters, Kennedy and Kaya Richardson. Other survivors include his brother, Frederick (Elaine) Richardson of South Elgin; his sisters, Doris Kahle of Tupelo, OK and Velma (LaVerne) Holtz of Hampshire; a sister-in-law, Elmina Richardson of Elgin; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Donald; and his sister, Della.

George J. Waterson
George J. Waterson, 83, of St. Charles, formerly of Carpentersville died January 16, 2006 at Brighton Gardens in St. Charles. He was born August 11, 1922 in St. Louis, MO to George F. and Marie (nee Snyder) Waterson. He was a World War II Army veteran with Merrill's Marauders stationed in China, Burma and India Theaters and a former 30 year employee of Bell & Howell in Lincolnwood, IL.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Gladys (nee Schwickrath) whom he married
December 20, 1942; his children, Robert (Linda) Waterson and Barbara (Richard) Zulpo; eight grandchildren, Peter (Deborah), James (Anne), Joseph (fiancee, Tricia Rippinger) Waterson, Ronald, Michelle and Christopher Bovin, Tatiana and Nicholas Zulpo; six great grandchildren, Nicholas, Kyle, Jacob and Luke Waterson and Blake and Tyler Waterson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Robert J. Waterson.

Francis F. "Rick" Halley
Francis F. "Rick" Halley, 58, of McHenry died Thursday evening, January 16, 2003 at Sherman Hospital in Elgin.
He was born January 15, 1945 in Chicago to Frank and Christine (Homan) Halley.
On June 19, 1965, he was united in marriage with Kathleen Kalavas at St. Sylvester Catholic Church in Chicago. Formerly a resident of Streamwood for 28 years, Mr. Halley lived in McHenry since 1996. He was employed by Jewel Foods in Melrose Park for 35 years as a diesel truck mechanic and for five years as a foreman. Mr. Halley was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Johnsburg. He was a quiet gentleman, whose family life and activities came first. He always enjoyed helping others. Favorite activities included fishing and boating on the Chain of Lakes.
Mr. Halley is survived by his wife of 37 years, Kathleen; four children, Robyn (Robert) Mandarino of South Elgin, Jason (Kellie) Halley of Effingham, Jeremy Halley of McHenry and Megan (David) Pontarelli of McHenry; seven grandchildren, Andrew, Alyssa, Anna, Zachary, Austin, Joseph and Aaron; four brothers, Robert Lindsay of Willow Springs, IL, Michael Lindsay of Worth, Timothy (Rose) Lindsay of Rockford and Joseph (Sue) Racine of Alsip; a sister, Sharon (John) Eakstries of Joliet; and his stepmother, Ginger Halley of Bridgeview.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his step father, Robert Lindsay.

Wilma I. Krabbe
Wilma I. Krabbe, 90, of Elgin passed away Thursday, January 16, 2003 at Sherman Hospital, Elgin. She was born July 17, 1912 in McLeansboro, IL the daughter of Will and Susan Tolley. She had been a resident of Elgin for the past 70 years. She had been employed by the Elgin National Watch Co. and Joseph Spiess Dept. Store before retiring.
Surviving are a daughter, Susan Sitter of Elgin, a son, Charles (Kay) Krabbe of Elgin, two grandsons, Michael (Sarah) Sitter of Elgin and Andrew Sitter of Elgin and two great grandsons, Ryan Max Sitter and Jackson Edward Sitter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Max R. Krabbe on February 23, 1999, two sisters and two brothers.
Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, January 20, 2003 at Laird Funeral Home, Elgin with Rev. Peter Boeve' pastor of First Presbyterian Church officiating. Charles S. Webb
Charles S. Webb, 86, of Carpentersville died Thursday at his home. He was born in Chicago on July 30, 1916, the son of Charles S. and Martha (nee Drexschmidt) Webb. He was a resident of the Carpentersville area for 48 years, a World War II veteran and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a 32 years employee of the United States Post Office, a majority of that time at the Carpentersville Post Office. Charles was an active member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church of West Dundee. He served his congregation as former treasurer and mens club president. Following retirement, Charles enjoyed many things, including building a garage at his home, camping with his family, and playing horse shoes and golf.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years: Laura D. Waechater Webb. They married
on January 15, 1944. Two daughters, Karen (Luis) Padron of Elgin and Janice (Irwin) Kashmier of Crystal Lake, one son-in-law, Larry (Evie) Lukasik of Crystal Lake, 11 grandchildren, Chad (Gwen) Kashmier, Brian Kashmier, Elizabeth (Mike) Battaglia, Sara, James and John Padron, Aaron and Nathan Lukasik, Matt, Scott and Beth Eyles, one great granddaughter, Isabella Battaglia, one brother, Norman (Naomi) Webb of Crystal Lake.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Barbara Lukasik of January 30, 1982, two brothers, William and Herbert.
Funeral Services will be on Monday at 11 a.m. in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, West Dundee. The Rev. Steven Simon will officiate. Burial will follow in the Union cemetery, Crystal Lake. Irma E. (Woods) Dulen
Irma E. (Woods) Dulen, 106, of Elgin, died Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at Sherman West Court. The daughter of John and Clara (Curtis) Woods, she was born in Dubuque, IA on March 21, 1899.
Irma was a long-time member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Elgin, and a member of the St. Mary's Women's Club, as well as St. Peter's Cathedral Women's Guild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clifford Dulen of over 50 years; her sister, Mable Schwab; a brother,, Raymond Woods; and a grandchild, Larry Bliesener.
Irma is survived by two daughters, Jean Cousins of LaPorte, IN; Eileen Bliesener of Rockford, IL; five grandchildren, Kurt Dulin of Elgin, Keith Dulin of Sycamore, IL, Kathy Weston of LaPorte, IN, Kevin Rehberg of Carpentersville, IL and Jeanne Marquis of Huntley, IL; three great-grandchildren, Angelique Reeser of Aurora, IL, Jeanette Marquis of Huntley, IL and Neil Weston of LaPorte, IN; and a sister-in-law, Eileen Kusch of River Forest, IL.

Clinton Irving Heckert
Clinton Irving Heckert, 93, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2006.
Clinton was born October 11, 1912, in Mountain Lake Park, MD, and graduated from Aurora High School, Aurora WV, in 1932. After serving two years in the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) he married
Ruth Bittinger in 1934. Together they were among the first couples to reside in one of President F. D. Roosevelt's Homestead Communities at Dailey, WV, where Clinton was employed by Kenwood Sawmill. He was also Chief of the Volunteer Fire Department in Dailey. In 1944 they moved to Elgin, IL, where he was employed by the Brethren Publishing House. In the later years he also worked for the Cuneo Press in Chicago, IL, Shedd-Bartush in Elgin, IL, and the Brethren Press in Elgin, IL until his retirement in 1977. He was a member of the Highland Avenue Church of the Brethren in Elgin, IL, from 1944 until his death, and was active in many positions in the church. An avid rock collector, he was one of the founding members of the Elgin Rock & Mineral Society (ERAMS). Clinton and his second wife, Mildred, developed a rock, mineral and fossil education program with slide photos and specimens which they presented for a number of years to grade schools, clubs and social organizations. He will be remembered as a faithful family man and church member and for his kindness and patience toward those with whom he worked. In 1995 Clinton moved to Pinecrest Manor in Mt. Morris, IL, where he resided until his death on January 3, 2006. He is survived by a daughter, Jean Mionske (Charles) of Island Lake, IL,; and a son, David (Rebecca) of Oxford, OH,; and six grandchildren, Susan, Sandra, Amy, Aaron, Andrew and Benjamin; and eight great-grandchildren.
Clinton was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Martha Heckert; his first wife, Ruth Bittinger Heckert (1963); his second wife, Mildred Etter Heckert (1993); a daughter, Janet (1936); a son, James (2002); and his brothers, Carl and Elmer.
Memorial Services will be held at Pinecrest Manor on February 10, 2006, at 10:00 A.M. and the Highland Avenue Church of the Brethren , 783 W. Highland Av., Elgin, IL, on February 11, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be held at Eglon cemetery, Eglon WV. Memorial gifts can be made to Pinecrest Manor, Mt Morris, IL, or to Highland Avenue Church of the Brethren.
Charlie Nold "Hubert"
Charlie "Hubert" Nold, 87, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2006 in Green Cove Springs, FL.
Hubert was a resident of Orange Park, FL for the past 12 years. He was born in Round Pond, Arkansas in 1918 and moved to Illinois in 1952 where he worked for Hawley Products in St. Charles, IL, retiring in 1982 after 30 years of service.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Olive; sons, James H. (Patricia), Goodyear, AZ, Charles L. (Patricia), Cuba City, WI, and Bobby G. Nold (Patricia), Orange Park, FL; daughters, Betty L. York (Bob), Geneva, IL and Marilyn K. Medearis, Orange Park, FL; sister, Eloise Graves, Forrest City, AR; grandchildren, Michelle, Scott, Mark, Michael, Kevin, Timothy, David, Jennifer and Christina; great-grandchildren, Trevor, Morgan, Nicklaus, Elizabeth, Haley, Destiny, Launa and Parker.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2006, 2:00 PM in the chapel of JACKSONVILLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL. Family and friends will visit at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 18, 2006 from 6 until 8 PM.
