Roger W. White
Roger W. White, 66, of Bartlett, formerly of Willow Lake Estates, Elgin, died Sunday, February 15, 2004 at Sherman Hospital in Elgin. He was born on January 21, 1938 in Chicago, the son of Daniel R. and Magdalene (nee Rossi) White.
He is survived by his sisters, June (Daniel) Smith of Carpentersville and Gerrie Koziol of Des Plaines; his sister-in-law, Barbara Berkenheier of Bartlett; nieces and nephews, Patricia (Gerard) Dziuba, Kenneth (Judy) Koziol, Karen (Jon) Keith, Linda (Ledner) Cunningham, Richard (Margaret) White and Linda (Bob) Winfrey; many grand nieces and grand nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his step mother, Ann Makys White; his son, Troy in infancy; and his brother, Robert White.
Family and friends will meet for Funeral Mass on Friday at 11 AM in the St. Catherine of Siena Church, West Dundee. The Rev. Richard A. Rosinski will officiate. Burial will follow in the Dundee Township East cemetery, East Dundee. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5 to 8 PM in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee and on Friday in church from 10 AM until time of Mass. Please omit flowers, memorials may be made to the Heart Fund.

Mona Lovett
Mona Lovett, 84, of Deerfield, formerly of Elgin, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2005 in Highland Park Hospital. She was born on January 18, 1921 in Rockford, IL. Mona had worked as a Buyer for the Joseph Spiess Company for many years, prior to her retirement, and currently, part time, for Reid Communications in Elgin, and for her son, Rehadmoney.com of Gurnee, IL. She was an avid bowler, and an accomplished seamstress. Mona enjoyed vacations by the Ocean. She had endless energy. Mona will be dearly missed.
Survivors include two children, Jay (Karen) Lovett of Gurnee, IL and Vicki Ann Lovett of Libertyville, IL; three grandchildren, Jim (Karen) Lovett, Sean Lovett, and Dean Canberis; two great-grandchildren, Nicholas Lovett and Samantha Schak.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Chuck Lovett in 1988; and two brothers, Donald and Robert Foy.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2005 at 1:30 P.M. in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin. Burial will follow in River Valley Memorial Gardens, West Dundee. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12:00 Noon until the time of services in the funeral home. As a two time cancer survivor, Mona requested omission of flowers, with Memorials to the American Cancer Society.

Father Aloysius Sieracki
Father Aloysius Sieracki, O. Carm. Member of the (Chicago) Province of the Most Pure Heart of Mary of the Order of Carmelites, age 75, died February 17, 2005.
Son of the late Peter and Mary (Krol) Sieracki. He is predeceased by his siblings, Mary (late Frank) Byers, Louise (late Edwin) Kandyba, Helen (late Jack) Wall, Joseph, Leonard (late Alice), Peter (Dorothy). He is survived by his brothers Norbert (Jean), Edward (Ursula), Thomas (late Judy) and sister, Barbara (Richard) Smykowski. Beloved by twenty eight nieces and nephews as well as countless great nieces and nephews.
Visitation, Sunday, February 20, 2005, 4pm to 8pm, The National Shrine of St. Therese, 8501 Bailey Road, Darien, IL 60561. Mass of Christian Burial, Monday, February 21, 2005, 11 am Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 8404 Cass Avenue, Darien, IL 60561. Interment at Mount Olivet cemetery, Chicago, immediately following.
A Chicago native, alumnus and former teacher at Mount Carmel High School, Chicago. Taught math at Marquette University. Graduate of Illinois Institute of Technology with a Chemical Engineering degree. Masters in Math from Notre Dame University. Served in the United States Army in the Chemical Division, prior to entering the Carmelites; former Delegate to the Lay Carmelites. An avid Chicago Cubs fan and published poet, he enjoyed retirement at Carmelite Carefree Village retirement home, Darien.

Naann M. Toomey
Naann M. Toomey, 76, of Elgin, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2005 in Sherman Hospital, Elgin. She was born on October 19, 1928 in Elgin and was the daughter of Clifford and Lillian Miller. She was a resident of Elgin all of her life and graduated from Elgin High School.
Member of the Highland Ave. Church of the Brethren.
Survivors include her husband, John Toomey of Elgin, to whom she married on November 19, 1949; three children, Scott (Caroline) Toomey of Elgin, Craig (Rosalie) Toomey of Tampa, FL, Shawn (Mark) Barnwell of Elgin; eight grandchildren, Kathy, Stephanie, Matthew, Joshua, Debra, Jessica, Ryan, and David; two great-grandchildren, Amanda and Danielle; one brother, Roland Miller of FL; three sisters, Shirley (Robert) Jones of Elgin, Carlene (Gary) Morton of CA, and Linnea Jo (Charles) Smith of CA; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Raymond and Robert Miller.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 1:00PM at the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin, with Rev. Joel Kline officiating. Burial will follow in River Valley Memorial Gardens, West Dundee. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4-8PM in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.

Verna L. Vollman
Verna L. Vollman, 92, of Elgin passed away Tuesday February 15, 2005 in the Apostolic Christian Resthaven, Elgin. She was born on April 5, 1912 in Elgin and was the daughter of Fred G. and Alma Rasch Volstorff. Verna had lived in Elgin all her life, and attended Elgin Schools. She worked many years at Vollman Supermarket. After the store closed, she worked in the Men's Department at Ackmann's Department Store.
She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church of Elgin.
Survivors include her son Fred R. (Karen) Vollman of Elgin.
Six Grandchildren; Rebecca Carlson of Elgin, Linda Gough of Madison, WI, Christine (Jon) Tichnor of Crystal Lake, IL., Brian (Sandra) Gough of Cross Plaines, WI., Craig (Kristin) Vollman of Elgin, and Curt (Victoria) Vollman of Racine, WI. Seven Great Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A Step sister Erma Langles of Amana, IA also.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph F. Vollman. Her daughter and son in law, Betty Lou and Douglas Gough. Her brother Fred A. Volstorff and a sister Iris D. Wahl.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday February 19, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. in the Wait Ross Allanson Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 51 Center St., Elgin, IL with Pastor James Fandrey officiating. Burial will follow in Lakewood Mem. Park. Visitation will be on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services in the funeral chapel. Memorial may be made to the Apostolic Christian Resthaven or Calvary Lutheran Church.

Marian Rojas-Cooper
Marian Rojas-Cooper, born December 11, 1947. Devoted mother of Kevin, Jason, Jared, and Marissa. Beloved friend of Conrad Rayford. Dearest grandmother of Gianni Damonte, Jasmine and Amiyah.
Marian is survived by three brothers, and six sisters, many nieces, nephews, and numerous friends. She was loved by many.
Visitation Tuesday, February 19, 2002, 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. Services at 7:00 p.m. Casey Funeral Home, 4540-50 W. Diversey Avenue, Chicago. Interment Wednesday, February 20, 1:30 p.m. Irving Park cemetery, Chicago. 773-777-6300.

James Charles Driscoll
A memorial Mass of the Resurrection was held for James Charles Driscoll, 73, of Westfield, WI, at 11:00 AM Friday, February 15, 2002 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, in Westfield. Fr. Rick Heilman and Fr. Daniel Kelly celebrated the Mass.
Born March 11, 1928, in Elgin, the son of Daniel and Alta (nee Springer) Driscoll, he died Sunday, February 10, 2002, at his home.
Mr. Driscoll was an Air Force Veteran. He married Patricia A. Zadakus on October 24, 1965 in Las Vegas, NV and together they lived in Lombard, where he worked construction, operated a service station and eventually drove a truck for Belfast Auto Parts in Lombard where he retired. They moved to the Township of Harris, Marquette County, WI in 1993. James and Patricia renewed their wedding vows on their 30th anniversary on October 24, 1995, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Westfield, where he was a member. He was a member of the Eagles and Moose Lodges and a member of Packwaukee Lions Club, where he was bestowed as a Melvin Jones Fellow.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Driscoll of Westfield; children, John (Jodie) Driscoll, Patrick Driscoll and Debbie Miller, all of Elgin; three grandchildren; brothers, Clair (Priscilla) Driscoll and Dennis (Elizabeth) Driscoll, both of Seattle, WA. He is also survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, John Driscoll.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.

William F. Jensen
William F. Jensen, age 58, of South Elgin, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2002 in Sherman Hospital. He was born September 16, 1943 in Chicago, the son of Walter and Della Kuyat Schwarzer. After his parents passed away, he was adopted at age 12 by his aunt and uncle, Erna and Ralph Jensen. He was a graduate of Lane Tech High School in Chicago. He was employed by Sears Department Store in Elgin and Montgomery Wards in St. Charles as a salesman and then was a truck driver with Schneider National Trucking. He was a veteran of Army serving the 82nd Airborne Division, 504 Infantry.
He was a member of Community United Methodist Church in South Elgin. He was a former member and director with the Elgin Jaycees. He was a member of the 82nd Airborne Association.
Surviving are his wife, Kathy McIntyre Jensen, whom he married on November 30, 1963; a daughter, Tammy (Paul) Wheatley of Elgin; a son, Tom Jensen of Elgin; three grandchildren, Dean, Sara, and Abigail; a sister, Jean Karczewski of Chicago; two brothers, Douglas Jensen of Tampa, FL and Paul (Angie) Jensen of Burlington, WI; also several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his adoptive parents; also two brothers, Walter and Fred Schwarzer.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at Community United Methodist Church, South Elgin with Rev. Mary Wise officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Laird Funeral Home, Elgin and Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services in the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Community United Methodist Church.

Bernadine Rifken
Bernadine Rifken, 79, of Elgin, passed away Tuesday at Sherman Hospital, Elgin. Born January 14, 1923 in Chicago, the daughter of Albert and Alice Field Winner. Member of Congregation Kneseth Israel synagogue, Elgin. Past president of valley Garden League. Life member of Hadassah and life member of B'nai B'rith.
She is survived by her husband, Ben Rifken Attorney; three daughters, Rita (Melvyn) Libman of CA, Laura (Howard) Waitzman of Deerfield and Linda (Robert) Oestmann of Hanover Park; two sons, Jeff Attorney (Sandra) Rifken of Elgin and Ned Rifken of CA; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; a brother, Leonard (Laurie) Winner of Elgin.
preceded in death by her parents and her step-mother, Gertrude Winner.
Funeral Thursday, February 21, 2002 at Congregation Kneseth Israel Synagogue, Elgin. Burial Bluff City cemetery, Elgin.

Lois Schneider
Lois Schneider, 91, of Hampshire passed away Monday, February 18, 2002 at Maplewood Care Center in Elgin. She was born March 28, 1910 in Hampshire the daughter of Christian and Bertha (Awe) Carlson.
Lois married Robert J. Schneider on October 25, 1932 in Hampshire.
Surviving are three children, Robert (JoAnn) Schneider of Hoffman Estates, Ann (Bob) Wilson of Rock Falls and Ila (Allan) Rogman of Crystal Lake, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-mother, Olive, her husband Robert on March 7, 1983, two brothers Walter and Joseph Carlson, and her sister Bertha Vogle.
Private funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2002 at the Fredrick Funeral Home in Hampshire with burial in the Hampshire Center cemetery.

Salvatore J. Storniolo
Salvatore J. Storniolo, 69, of Chicago. passed away February 17, 2002. U.S. Army Veteran, Korean War. Past Commander of American Legion Electric Post #769; Past Grand Knight and 4th Degree member of General Sherman Knights of Columbus Council; 1st President of Italian Catholic Federation of St. Eugene Church; member of I.B.E.W. Local #134 and Italian American National Union.
Beloved father of Thomas, John (Chris), Salvatore (Angie), Catherine (Chris) Olsen and the late Anthony; loving grandfather of seven; dear brother of Andrew (Kay), Frances (Mario) Codacco and Nancy (the late Bob) Babowice.
Visitation Wednesday 3 to 9 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 820 Talcott Road (at Cumberland), Park Ridge. Funeral Thursday 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Eugene Church. Mass 10 a.m. Entombment All Saints Mausoleum.

Robert Henry John Clark VanDusen
Robert Henry John Clark VanDusen, 86, of Elgin, died Friday, February 15, 2002 at Manor Care Health Center in Elgin. He was born November 24, 1915 in Bartlett Township, IL, the son of Frank and Clara VanDusen.
Mr. VanDusen was active in the Farm Bureau and F.F.A.
He is survived by two sons, Bob (Pat) VanDusen of St. Charles and Larry (Kris) VanDusen of Elgin; two daughters, Pat (Bruce) Crandall of Rantoul and Joan (Dick) Price of Venice, FL; 14 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Dorothy, and his wife of 52 years, Mina.
Visitation will be held at Wait Ross Allanson Funeral Home in Elgin from 4-8 P.M. on Thursday, February 21, 2002. The funeral service will be at 10 A.M. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church on Friday, February 22, 2002. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Diabetes Foundation.
