Earl "Tim" E. Frank
Earl "Tim" E. Frank, 89, of Genoa, died Wednesday, February 18, 2004 at the Bethany Health Care Center in DeKalb.
He was born February 11, 1915 in Elgin. He married
Mildred L. Kennedy on December 12, 1936 in Elgin. Tim was a life long resident of Genoa, moving to Barb City Manor in DeKalb in 2002. He was employed by Falls Products in Genoa for 37 years, retiring in 1983. He was a faithful and long time member of the Faith United Methodist Church of Genoa and a 50 year member of the Genoa Lions Club. Tim enjoyed talking and visiting with people. He especially loved his computer-surfing and chatting with his friends on the internet.
He is survived by two granddaughters, Mona (Steve) Pitstick of Maple Park and Kelli (Brian) Hickrod of Carpentersville; four great grandchildren, Scott, Dale, and Traci Pitstick and Hatti Hickrod; and one son-in-law, Lee (Donna) Carlson of Waterman.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred in 1994 and one daughter, Janice Carlson.
His Funeral Service will be Saturday, February 21 at 1:00 p.m. at the Slater-Butala Funeral Home of Genoa, with Rev. Daniel Diss officiating. Burial will be in the Genoa cemetery.
Visitation will be on Saturday from noon until time of Service at the Slater-Butala Funeral Home.

Doris M. Huntoon
Doris M. Huntoon, 81, died Wednesday, February 18, 2004 at her home in Elgin. She was born November 28, 1922 in Hampshire, the daughter of John and Emma (nee Dumoulin) Maynard. Doris was a devoted mother, a creative seamstress who took pleasure in sharing her talents and loved animals.
She is survived by her husband, Walter, who she met at the Elgin National Watch Company and married
June 6, 1944 in Hampshire; children, David of Albuquerque, NM, Carol Zamie of Elgin and Gary (Wanda Null) of Elgin; granddaughter, Kristin Huntoon of Elgin; two brothers, John and Edwin of Hampshire; a sister, Norma Gray of Hampshire; nieces and nephews; her other grandchildren, Jasmine, a black lab and three cats, Dolly, Chessie and Sugar.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Bernardine Walrack; and a brother, Alvin in infancy.
Memorial visitation will be held Saturday, February 21, 2004 at the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin from 2 to 4 PM. Norman R. (Redd) Moore
Norman R. (Redd) Moore, 69, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away Wednesday evening, February 18, 2004 in the emergency room of the Pinckneyville Community Hospital.
Mr. Moore was born in Payne County, OK, on May 12, 1934, a son of John and Jennie (Long) Moore. He married
Constance J. (Connie) Morgenthaler on December 22, 2001 in Pinckneyville and she survives.
During his lifetime he served with the U.S. Marines in the Korean Conflict, was a member of the Moose Lodge, American Legion, V.F.W., National Rifle Association, a member of the United Steel Worker's Union and retired in 1996 from Alcoa Aluminum after 35 years. He then returned to Pinckneyville . He was a former member of the Beaucoup Baptist Church, Pinckneyville .
Survivors include his wife, Connie of Pinckneyville ,; step-daughter, Laura J. Sronce of Toronto,OH; step-son, James C. Young of Elgin, IL; step-daughter, Billie Collins; a sister, Dorothy Lawyer and her husband, Gerald, of Elgin; three nephews, two nieces, and six step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Nelson R. Moore; and a sister, Mary Lou Moore.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. in the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville . Interment will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery, Pinckneyville .
Friends may call at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville , on Friday from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.

Berniece A. Pilcher
Berniece A. Pilcher, 91, of Batavia died Wednesday at her home. She was born July 30, 1912 in Chicago, IL. She attended Northern Illinois Teachers College from 1930 to 1932. She started teaching at a one room school at Pierce School in Wayne, from 1932 to 1937. Berniece also taught third grade at Streamwood Elementary School from 1961 through 1976.
She is survived by two daughters, Judith (Philip) Ingoglia of Ukiah, California and Valerie (Joseph) Caliguri of Setauket, NY; two sons, Roger (Sheri) Pilcher of Elgin and Ronald (Lynda) Pilcher of San Diego, California; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a sister, Barbara (Robert) Wolf of St. Charles, MO; she is also survived by her companion, Robert Sheehan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Carrie Ashley; and two brothers, Harry S. Ashley and Glenn (Edith) Ashley.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Monday at the Yurs Funeral Home, St. Charles. Burial will be at Union cemetery, St. Charles.

Gerald L. "Jake" Powers
Gerald L. "Jake" Powers, 62, of Elgin passed Wednesday, February 18, 2004 at his home. He was born February 7, 1942 in Elgin the son of George and Helen Sommers Powers. He had been a resident of Elgin for over 30 years. He was a graduate of Marian Central High School in Woodstock in 1960. He was employed by Smurfit Stone Packaging in Schaumburg. He was a veteran in the U.S. Army. Jake was a lifelong Bears fan and family man. He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Elgin.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Dwyer Powers whom he married
on January 16, 1965; two children, Patrick (Carolyn) Powers of Elgin and Rebecca (Rick) Kelly of Elgin; five grandchildren, Kayla, Taylor, Logan, Brianna and Shannon; one brother, Robert (Barbara) Powers of McHenry; four sisters, Linda (Larry) Rice of Woodstock, Donna (Ken) Jensen of Woodstock, Rita Rehaste of Orange, CA, and Cindy (Jim) Sweeney of Blaine, MN; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Sandra Dorazio of Silver Lake, WI; mother-in-law, Margaret Dwyer of Elgin; brother-in-law, Michael (Nancy) Dwyer of Mansfield, OH.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Richard Powers; and a nephew, Bill Rice.
Funeral Mass will be held Monday, February 23, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Elgin. Visitation will be held Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Laird Funeral Home, Elgin. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. Thomas More Catholic School.
Sharon L. Robinson
Sharon L. Robinson, 68, of South Elgin, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2004 in Sherman Hospital, Elgin. She was born on February 17, 1936 in Elgin, and was the daughter of Arthur and Beulah Sutherland Robinson. Sharon was a 1953 graduate of Elgin High School. She retired in 1991 from Illinois Bell Telephone Co.
Member of the South Elgin Community Methodist Church. Active Member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and Secretary of the Fox Valley Council. 50 year Member of the Fox Valley Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star Member #265, Batavia, IL and a Dual member of MayFlower Chapter #555, Wauconda, IL, past Matron of the Batavia Chapter. Grand Representative of Alabama in Illinois. Past Grand Officer, Member of the Northern IL White Shrine Association. Past Honored Queen of Job's Daughters Bethel #61.
Survived by her sister, Lola Wind of Elgin, IL; one nephew, James (Adelaide) Wind of Fort Wayne, IN; two nieces, Marlee (Gary) Browne of Slater, MO and Linda (Richard) Slinko of South Elgin, IL. In addition she will be greatly missed by three great-nephews, 2 great-nieces and 3 great-great nieces.

Leona Streeter
Leona Streeter, 84, of West Dundee died Thursday, February 17, 2004 at the Rosewood Care Center in Elgin. she was born in Kankakee, IL on March 10, 1919 the daughter of Edward and Elizabeth (nee Taul) Schulze. She was a resident of the Dundee area for 54 years and a member of the First Congregational Church of West Dundee and the Womens Fellowship of the church. She was also a member of the Order Of The Eastern Star #279 Chebanse, IL.
She is survived by her son Dale (Gail Buhrow) Streeter of East Dundee, her grand-daughter, Amanda (Fiance Pat DeMarsh) of Dundee, her grandson, Andrew; her cousin, Howard Taul of Mountain Home, AR, her sister-in-law, Ruth Streeter of Clifton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leon A. Streeter of June 20, 1993. They married
July 7, 1937.

John J. "Jack" Sullivan
John J. "Jack" Sullivan, 80, of West Dundee died Wednesday, February 18, 2004 at Provena-St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin. He was born in Chicago on March 29, 1923, the son of John J. and Esther (nee Woods) Sullivan. John was a 38 year resident of the Dundee area. He was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, West Dundee, the Knights of Columbus, a W.W.II Army Veteran, and a former West Dundee Police Pension Board member. He was a longtime friend of Bill W.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Patricia (nee Selzer) Sullivan, whom he married
on April 26, 1958; six children, Joanne (Edward) Zasada of Plato Twp., Stephen (Teresa) of Eagan, MN, Terence, M.D. (Carol) of Chicago, Cdr. Joseph (Lynda) of Oak Harbor, WA, Daniel (Barbara) of Durham, NC, and Mary of New York City, NY; thirteen grandchildren, Jennifer, Meghan, Kevin, Rachel, Alison, Caitlin, Jack, Timothy, Nikki, Gerrid, Brittany, Kelsy, and Lindsey; his sister, Mary Murphy of Oak Park; his sister-in-law, Roberta Sullivan of Berwyn; his mother-in-law, Delores Selzer of West Dundee; many nieces, nephews, and friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Thomas; his sister, Genevieve Ruzkowski.

Amy Lynn Bartee
Amy Lynn Bartee, deceased February 18, 2005. Born January 17, 1977 in Rochester, MN. She grew up in the Elgin, Belvidere area.
Amy was taken by her Lord Jesus Christ to her new life, she embraced his coming. Amy was a warrior. She dad battled ovarian cancer for over four years. Amy would always say it was another bump in the road. Amy was a very active member of the McKinley P.T.O. and also of the Girl Scouts at McKinley Troops 77 and 428, with her good friend, Renee Szuper. For the love of her children brought the family to the ballpark. Sierra was in T-ball with the Pirates, and Desiree and Deja with Cubs. Amy was a member of Assembly of God Church in St. Charles.
Amy is survived by her husband, D'Andre Bartee; and her three children, Desiree, Deja and Sierria; her mother and step-father, Jane and Don Pieper; her special cousin, Jessica Swabloom; and her two special aunts, Jill and Donna Atkinson; her in-laws, Terry and Tonya Hill; her sister-in-law, Rhaven Bartee and brother-in-law, Taurean Smith; and all of Amy's Guardian Angels.
A Memorial Service will be held at Madison Funeral Homes, 305 Park St., Elgin, 60120, Monday, February 21, 2005 at 6:00 PM. Burial will be private.

Father Aloysius Sieracki
Father Aloysius Sieracki, O. Carm. Member of the (Chicago) Province of the Most Pure Heart of Mary of the Order of Carmelites, age 75, died February 17, 2005.
Son of the late Peter and Mary (Krol) Sieracki. He is predeceased by his siblings, Mary (late Frank) Byers, Louise (late Edwin) Kandyba, Helen (late Jack) Wall, Joseph, Leonard (late Alice), Peter (Dorothy). He is survived by his brothers Norbert (Jean), Edward (Ursula), Thomas (late Judy) and sister, Barbara (Richard) Smykowski. Beloved by twenty eight nieces and nephews as well as countless great nieces and nephews.

Graduate of Illinois Institute of Technology with a Chemical Engineering degree. Masters in Math from Notre Dame University. Served in the United States Army in the Chemical Division, prior to entering the Carmelites; former Delegate to the Lay Carmelites. An avid Chicago Cubs fan and published poet, he enjoyed retirement at Carmelite Carefree Village retirement home, Darien.

Naann M. Toomey, 76, of Elgin, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2005 in Sherman Hospital, Elgin. She was born on October 19, 1928 in Elgin and was the daughter of Clifford and Lillian Miller. She was a resident of Elgin all of her life and graduated from Elgin High School.
Member of the Highland Ave. Church of the Brethren.
Survivors include her husband, John Toomey of Elgin, to whom she married
on November 19, 1949; three children, Scott (Caroline) Toomey of Elgin, Craig (Rosalie) Toomey of Tampa, FL, Shawn (Mark) Barnwell of Elgin; eight grandchildren, Kathy, Stephanie, Matthew, Joshua, Debra, Jessica, Ryan, and David; two great-grandchildren, Amanda and Danielle; one brother, Roland Miller of FL; three sisters, Shirley (Robert) Jones of Elgin, Carlene (Gary) Morton of CA, and Linnea Jo (Charles) Smith of CA; and many nieces and nephews.
