Robert H. Zitzka
Robert H. Zitzka, 66, of Carpentersville. passed away Saturday, February 23, 2002 at Sherman Hospital. Born July 7, 1935 in Hurley, MO, the son of John and Suzie Valentik Zitzka.
He is survived by his wife, Marianne; two sons, Robert W. (Mary) of South Elgin and David (Jane) of Carpentersville; six grandchildren and one great-grandson.
preceded in death by his parents, a sister, and nine brothers.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, February 27, 2002 at 10:00 A.M. at Madison Funeral Home, Elgin with Fr. Dominic Cassidy officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation Tuesday, February 26, 2002, 5-9:00 P.M. at Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park, Elgin. Please omit flowers. Memorials may be made.

Frances M. Anderson
Frances Muirhead Anderson, age 48, died at home Monday, February 24 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born March 23, 1954 in Plato Center, IL. She was a graduate of Burlington Central High School and The University of Illinois. She and her husband Lee were married for over 21 years and resided in Wheaton for the past 13 years. Fran worked in human resources at both Farmers and Zurich Insurance for over 20 years, and more recently as a human relations consultant.
Fran was an active worker in the Wheaton community, including volunteer work with youth and seniors, as well as in many capacities at First Congregational Church of Glen Ellyn. She also was active in the operation of the Bridge Communities, providing help for those needing housing and living assistance. Fran loved creative cooking, gardening, animals and outside activities. She was well known by family, friends and neighbors as a loving wife and mother, a generous friend, and a trusted counselor.
She is survived by her husband Lee, her children Erin and Garrett, her parents Glen and Betty Muirhead of Plato Center, IL, her father and mother-in-law, Ed and Lois Anderson of Elmhurst, her brothers Gordon (Jill) Muirhead of Plato Center, IL, Arthur (Martha) Muirhead of Washington, D.C. and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held 3-9 p.m. Thursday, February 27 at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. Wheaton. A memorial service will be held Friday, February 28 at 10:30 a.m. at First Congregational Church of Glen Ellyn, 535 Forest Ave., Glen Ellyn. Donations may be made to Bridge Communities Inc., 505 Crescent, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137 or the American Cancer Society, 999 N. Main St., Glen Ellyn, IL 60137.

Kelly L. Brockner
Kelly L. Brockner, 32, of Elgin passed away Saturday, February 22, 2003 in Elgin from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born July 17, 1970 in Elgin the daughter of Phillip "Pat" and Judith Sphatt Brockner. She had been a resident of South Elgin and Elgin all of her life. She was a graduate of Larkin High School in 1988 and Northern Illinois University in 1999. She had been employed by Menards in Elgin for eight years and was currently employed by First Community Bank in Elgin. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Elgin. She loved to snowmobile and to garden.
Surviving are her mother and stepfather, Judy and Ed Fitchie of South Elgin, father, Pat Brockner of Elgin, fiance, Anton Kossakowski of Elgin, brothers Andrew Brockner of Colorado and Nathan (Jeannette) Fitchie of Elgin, sister Bethany Fitchie (Joel Aromi) of South Elgin, three uncles, Stanley (Shirley) Sphatt of Elgin, Tom (Janice) Brockner of Elgin and James "Wally" (Beth) Wallmuth of York, PA, many cousins, close friend Becky Jurs and the Kossakowski family.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Roscoe and Josephine Brockner and Edward and Florence Sphatt, aunts Mary Wallmuth, Collete Mahle, Beverly Geldmacher and Peggy Sphatt, uncle Don Geldmacher and cousin Steve Sphatt.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 27, 2003 at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Elgin with Rev. Olin Sletto officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Laird Funeral Home, Elgin and Thursday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Jim Thorpe Association or Ray Graham Association for Developed Mentally Disabled.

Perry B. Cooley
Perry B. Cooley, 50, of Marengo, IL died Tuesday, February 25, 2003 in his home following a long illness. He was born on March 16, 1952 in Elgin, IL, the son of Bruce and Mary Jane Lewis Cooley. On April 17, 1981 in Waukegan he married Kathleen Groenland. He was a U.S. Army Viet Nam Veteran and a machinist with Brake Parts Inc., McHenry, IL.
He is survived by his wife of Marengo, five sons: Brian Miller of Lake in the Hills, Steven and Jason Miller, both of McHenry, Eric Cooley of Marengo and Sean Gallager, a grandson, Shane Miller, four brothers: Michael Cooley of McHenry, Steven (Katherine) Cooley of Lake Villa, Jeffrey and Daniel Cooley, a sister, Bonnie Swegle of McHenry and his parents of Lake Zurich.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday, February 28, 2003 at the Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E. Grant Hwy., Marengo, IL 60152. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2003 in the funeral home with Chaplain Nicolle See Grasse officiating. Interment will be in Marengo City cemetery. Memorials may be made in his name to The American Cancer Society, 143 First St., Batavia, IL 60510.

Carol Josette Ebel, Phd
Carol Josette Ebel, Phd, age 73, of Crystal Lake, IL died Saturday, February 22, 2003. She was born November 13, 1929 to Clarence J. and Irma (Ritt) Ebel who preceded her in death.
Carol graduated from Valparaiso University with a B.A. Degree in 1951. She received a Masters Degree from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN and earned a Doctoral Degree from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, CO. She taught at Blue Island High School, Blue Island, IL Carol was an instructor at Ferris Institute, Big Rapids, MI. She was Associate Professor at Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, IL until her retirement. Carol was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Algonquin, IL and there established an educational scholarship in memory of her parents.
She is survived by her twin brother, Clarence Joseph (Gerda) Ebel Jr. of Boulder, CO, her sisters, Katheryne E. Brown of Merrillville, IN, Marie Ebel-Clark of St. Charles, IL, Louise (Ted) Wachholz of Arlington Heights, IL and Florence (John) Weck of Algonquin and several nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services were held on Tuesday, February 25, 2003 at Wait Ross Allanson Algonquin Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Rollin Kuznik of St. John's Lutheran Church in Algonquin officiating.
Burial at Union cemetery, Crystal Lake, IL following services on Tuesday. No visitation.
Memorials may be directed to St. John's Lutheran Church, 300 Jefferson Street, Algonquin, IL 60102 or to a charity of one's choice.

Dorothy "Doty" L. Kramer (Welch)
Dorothy "Doty" L. Kramer (Welch), 85, of Elgin, passed away Monday in her home. She was born February 11, 1918 in Elgin, and was the daughter of Lewis and Meta Welch. Doty had worked her whole life, and was a homemaker with her family.
Survivors include five children, Louis (Wilma) Kramer of Willis, TX, Jerry (Janis) Kramer of Elgin, IL, Barb (the late Donald) Axelsen of St. Charles, IL, Richard (Claire) Kramer of Elgin, IL, Carol (Greg) Heine of Elgin, IL, 17 grandchildren and 11 great -grandchildren.
preceded in death by her parents, her husband Milton "Mike" Kramer in 1983, one brother, Wilbur Welch of Cape Coral, FL.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin, with Rev. Roger Pollock officiating. Burial will be in Bluff City cemetery in Elgin. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made it Doty's name to Vitas Hospice Care, Lombard, IL.

Neil L. Murphy
Neil L. Murphy, 68, of Lake in the Hills, formerly of Elgin, passed away Sunday in Sherman Hospital, Elgin. He was born February 13, 1935 in Oak Park, IL and was the son of Leonard and Frances (Jones) Murphy. Neil was a graduate of the University of Illinois, and served in the U.S. Army Reserve. He was the plant manager at Flexonics and Teledyne for many years prior to his retirement. Neil was a longtime coach and volunteer at the Elgin Classic Little League. He was a member of the Eagle's Club of Elgin and the Elk's Lodge 737.
Survivors include four children, Michael (Dierdre) Murphy of Lake in the Hills, IL, Brian Murphy of Elgin, Daniel (Allyn) Murphy of Texas and Kevin (Nicole) Murphy of Cary, IL, nine grandchildren, Zachary, Josh, Austin, Gannon, Quintin, Matthew, Reagan, Keegan and Ian, his brother, Robert (Karen) Murphy of Elgin, IL, his sister, Jean Murphy and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 26, 2003 from 4-8 p.m. in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin. Burial will be private in St. Mary's cemetery, Gilberts, IL.

Jean R. Parisi
Jean R. Parisi, 84, of Genoa, formerly of the Dundee area, died Monday, February 24, 2003 at Bethany Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in DeKalb. She was born in Primero, CO on October 17, 1918, the daughter of Vincent and Josephine (nee Tuttoilmondo) Cina.
Jean was a 38 year resident of the area and a former member of St. Catherine Of Siena Church in West Dundee. For many years Jean worked along with her husband and son in the operation of their family real estate business, Dundee Realty.
She is survived by two children: Donald Parisi of Algonquin and Francine (John) Mills of Hampshire, one sin-in-law: Jim Rosado of Hampshire, 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, one sister: Mildred Rossini of Atherton, CA. Many nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frank Parisi in 1988 and one daughter: Janice A. Rosado in 2002, one brother, Joseph Cina.
Funeral Mass will be on Thursday at 10 a.m. in the St. Catherine Of Siena Church, West Dundee. The Rev. Richard A. Rosinski, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in the River Valley Memorial Gardens, West Dundee. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 3-9 p.m. in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee and on Thursday in church from 9 a.m. until time of Mass. The family has asked for the omission of flowers.

Lisa Richert
Lisa Richert, 31, of Dallas, TX, formerly of Elgin, passed away in Dallas, TX. She was born November 13, 1971 in Elgin, the daughter of Dianne Hein and the late Richard Richert. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Elgin and graduated from Elgin High School in 1989.
Survivors include one son, Clayton Stanphill, her mother, Dianne (Jack) Hein of Elgin, one sister, Lonna (Jeff) Zwernez of Elgin, one half-sister, Laura (Stan) Wilharn of Elgin, one half brother, Steven Hasemann of Georgia, two step-sisters, Jenny (Mike) Bruscoe of Elgin and Amy (Phil) Cotter of Hanover Park, one step-brother, Andy Hein of Chicago and a grandfather, John Poyer of Elgin.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Richert in 1989 and both grandmothers.
Funeral will take place Friday at 10 a.m. at Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park St. Elgin with Rev. Hannibal Frederich officiating. Burial will be at River Valley Memorial Park in West Dundee. Visitation will be Thursday, 6 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made for the education fund of Clayton Stanphill in care of Dianne Hein.

Mary B. Stryszyk
Mary B. Stryszyk, 89, of Elgin died Tuesday, February 25, 2003 at the Rosewood Healthcare Center in Elgin.
She was born in Chicago on January 15, 1914, the daughter of Lawrence and Marianna (nee Dzblo) Wilk.
Mary was a resident of Elgin for 13 years and a member of the St. Laurence Catholic Church of Elgin. For many years, Mary operated a sewing machine in the furniture industry prior to her retirement.
She is survived by her daughter, Rosalie (the late Christos) Siderakis of Elgin; a granddaughter, Sheila (James) Piotter of Fox River Grove; a great granddaughter, Samantha Piotter of Fox River Grove; and two nieces, Arlene (Marvin) Kuzdas of Palos Park, IL and Laverne (Richard) Erhardt of Indianapolis, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a great grandson, James Piotter on November 28, 2002; three sisters, Victoria Wilk, Agnes Klobucar and Catherine Kanikula.
Funeral Services will be on Thursday at 10 AM in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee with the Rev. Joseph Kulak officiating. Burial will follow in the Mary Hill cemetery, Niles.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 7 to 9 PM in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee.

Christina Elsa Durcansky (Dziwis)
Christina Elsa Durcansky (Dziwis), 80, of Aurora passed away peacefully, surrounded by loving family on Valentine's Day, Saturday, February 14, 2004 at Provena Mercy Center Hospital, Aurora. She was born December 18, 1923 in Poland (Lithuania) to the late Stephen and Gertrude (Moll) Dziwis, also preceded in death by her two sisters, Hilda Tzack and Helena Jacek and her husband, Julius Durcansky.
Christina came to Pittsburgh, PA from Poland in 1952, and worked at Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA until retiring in 1985. She was a parishioner of St. Stephens Catholic Church in Hazelwood, PA and also St. Catherines in Beacheview, PA.
She is survived by two daughters, Judy E. (Jim) Reardanz of Aurora and Margie Chuck) Pritchard of Pittsburgh, PA; three grandsons, Christopher S. Reardanz, Thomas C. and Stephen P. Pritchard; a nephew, Andrzej Jacek; a niece, Wanda Jacek; four great nephews and two great nieces all of Poland; and many friends in Pittsburgh.
At Christina's request, Cremation Rites were accorded. Graveside service was Thursday, February 26, 2004 at 11 AM at the Oakwood cemetery, Williams and Vine Sts. Wilmington, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Lung Association would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to:

Mildred Ilene Frank
Mildred Ilene Frank, 96, died February 19, 2004 in Colorado Springs, CO.
She lived in South Elgin and Elgin for 86 years, moving to Colorado in 1994. She was retired from Sears Roebuck and Company. She had been a member of the U.S. Air Force Mothers Club.
Mildred is survived by a son, Roger A. Frank of Emory, TX; her daughters, Joyce Whitsell Inoshita of Lihue, HI and Gail E. Smith of Florissant, CO; four sisters, Dorothy Bone of South Elgin, Shirley Evert of Elgin, Lois Fay of Portage, WI and Gladys Young of St. Germaine, WI; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Edwin H. Frank, who was co-owner of the Fox Trail Garage in South Elgin until 1969; her father Arthur Robbins; her step-mother, Florence Robbins.
Funeral services will be on Friday, February 27, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Madison Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5 until 8 p.m. Burial will be at Bluff City cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Odyssey Health Care (Hospice) of Colorado Springs, 4465 Northpark Dr. Suite 400, Colorado Springs, CO 80907.
