Robert Jay Morley
Robert Jay Morley, beloved son of Trudy Morley and the late Fred Morley, passed away unexpectedly in St. Petersburg, FL on February 1, 2003.
Robert was born on August 8, 1947 in Elgin, IL and graduated from Elgin High School in 1965. In 1970, he was granted status as a conscientious objector and served his country for two years as a peace counselor in Washington, D.C. Robert then learned sign language and worked at Gallidet School for the Deaf until he moved to Atlanta, GA in the early 1980s where he was assistant to the director at GRID (Georgia Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf) for 13 years. Robert lived in Maine from 1995 to 1996 and was a volunteer at Downeast AIDS Network and a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church. He returned to Atlanta for a short time and then moved to Florida. Robert was a very special person and will be sadly missed by friends and family.
Robert is survived by his mother, Trudy Morley and brother, Douglas Morley, both of Lamoine; nieces, Martina Morley and Amy Morley; his aunt, Mary Morley; his uncle, Jim Mullen; and 12 cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Fred Morley, four aunts, five uncles, two cousins, and his dogs, Peaches and Corky.

Theresa M. Schroeder
Theresa M. Schroeder, 41, of Elgin passed away Thursday, February 27, 2003 in her home.
She was born September 28, 1961 in Highland Park, IL, the daughter of John and Mary Ebert.
Theresa had worked at Alderwood Health Care Center in South Elgin, IL, as the Activities Director. She enjoyed working with and caring for the elderly. She was a member of Women of the Moose #610.
She was married
to John P. Schroeder for 21 years, and is survived by their three children; Denise M., Erin T. and John P. Schroeder II all of Elgin; four sisters, Alice Martins of Carpentersville, IL, Julie (David) Cunningham of OH, Denise Ebert of KY and Trisha (Chris) Chapman of KY; a brother, John Ebert of KY; her mother of KY; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Memorial Mass will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. in the St. Laurence Catholic Church, (corner of Jewett and Standish), Elgin, with Fr. Joseph F. Kulak officiating. Memorial visitation will be held on Sunday from 3 to 8 PM in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the family.
Olive Seyller
Olive Seyller, 92, of Hampshire passed away Friday, February 28, 2003 at Kishwaukee Community Hospital in DeKalb.
She was born August 31, 1910 in Scottsburg, IN, the daughter of William and Mary (Murphy) Bartle.
Olive married
Maurice E. Seyller on October 13, 1934 in Elgin and they resided in Burlington until moving to Hampshire in 1950. Mrs. Seyller had been employed as a Cafeteria Manager at the Hampshire High School and at the Hampshire Elementary School. She also assisted her husband in the operation of Seyller Transports of Hampshire for many years.
Olive was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hampshire, the United Methodist Women, the Hampshire Women's Club and the Order of the Eastern Star of Genoa.
Surviving are her daughter, Maureen (Richard) Mikyska of Marengo; former daughter-in-law, Patricia (Jerry) Eck of Sedona, AZ; four grandchildren, Robert (Halle) Cox of St. Charles, Brenda (Johathon) Courtney of Hampshire, Brian (Jennifer) Seyller of Minneapolis, MN, and Todd (Jessica) Seyller of Prescott, AZ; and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Maurice on June 22, 1992; her son Jerry Seyller on September 4, 1973; and three brothers, Fern, Orville and Claude Bartle.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Monday, March 3, 2003 at the First United Methodist Church, 207 Grove Ave., Hampshire with the Rev. Daniel Davis officiating. Burial will be in the Hampshire Center cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 6 PM Sunday at the Fredrick Funeral Home, 284 Park St., Hampshire with services by the Order of the Eastern Star at 5 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be directed to the First United Methodist Church of Hampshire.
Anna M. Weightman
Anna M. Weightman, 87, of Crystal Lake died Friday, February 28, 2003 at Fair Oaks Health Care Center in Crystal Lake.
She was born in Huntley on April 11, 1915 to Robert and Anna Miller. She married
Charles Weightman in Huntley on March 11, 1939. She helped her husband run Cardunal Office Supply in Dundee.
Survivors include two sons, Jack (Mary) Weightman of Algonquin and Gary (Linda) Weightman of Algonquin, five grandchildren, Jodi (Darren) Tait of Gilberts, Michael Weightman of Downers Grove, Stephen Weightman of Durand, Julie Weightman of Algonquin and Angela Weightman of Seattle, WA, a great-grandson, Owen Tait and a sister-in-law, Florence (Art) Pelzer of Salem.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles in 1981, her infant son Charles, three brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2003 at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave. in Crystal Lake from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Pastor Paul Rice will officiate. Interment will be in Bluff City cemetery in Elgin. Samuel Willis
Samuel Willis, 88, of Elgin passed away Tuesday at his home. He was born May 18, 1914, the son of Joseph and Olevia Wheat Willis.
He is survived by two sisters, Agnes Austin of Elgin and Annette Willis of Chicago and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
Funeral will take place Monday at 10 a.m. a Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park St., Elgin. Burial will be private at Bluff City cemetery in Elgin. There will be no visitation.
Darlene G. Adoski
Darlene G. Adoski, 65, of South Elgin passed away Monday, February 28, 2005 at Provena St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin. She was born May 4, 1939 in Chicago the daughter of Frank and Florence Schroeder Caldarona. She had been a resident of Palatine for several years before moving to South Elgin in 2004. She was employed by Jewell Food Stores before retiring.
Surviving are three daughters, Julie (Dave) Drake of Arlington Heights, Joy (Gary) Hyman of South Elgin, Jill (Dave) Thomas of Crystal Lake; seven grandchildren, Alyssa and David Drake, Lauren Sisto, D.J. and Randy Thomas, Jennifer and David Hyman; great-granddaughter, Jordan; one sister, Elaine (Tom) Sroka of Florida; one brother, Chuck Caldarona of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Geri Pollock.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 5, 2005 at 2:30 p.m. at Laird Funeral Home, Elgin with Rev. Joseph F. Kulak officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be held Saturday from 12:00 NOON until 4:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
James H. Bohlander, Sr.
James H. Bohlander, Sr., 70, of Hampshire, IL and Fort Meyers Beach, FL, went home to be with the Lord on February 23rd, after a brave one year battle with illness, which he faced with an amazingly positive attitude making all of us who love him incredibly proud.
Jim had a lifelong passion for aviation, which included a 39 year career as a pilot for Capitol and United Airlines, which culminated in his flying the Boeing 747-400 on international routes and achieving the #1 ranking on the pilot's seniority list. He owned numerous aircraft over the years, including a WWII-P-51 Mustang and restored several antique aircraft including his award winning Staggerwing Beechcraft.
He is survived by his mother, Helen Torch; his wife, Shirley, whose caring and nurturing in the last months of his life were a tremendous comfort to all of us; his brother, George, whom he had a wonderful relationship with; his former wife, Phyllis Hecox; his sons, James Jr., David and Michael; his step-children, Robert Mecklenburg and Melissa Walters; and his grandchildren, Mary and Sarah Bohlander, Max, Angelica, Mary and Elizabeth Mecklenburg; Kayla and Jodi Done, and Brendan Walters; plus friends, neighbors and business associates too numerous to mention.
His love, caring and influence in our lives will be greatly missed.

M. Dorothy Brooks
M. Dorothy Brooks, age 91, of Elgin, died Saturday, February 26, 2005 at Sherman Hospital in Elgin, Illinois. She was born April 21, 1913 in Plato Township, Illinois to Ernest F. and Rose A. Yurs.
Mrs. Brooks retired from Hoffer Plastics in South Elgin and was a member of the Woodlawn Baptist Church in North Carolina.
Mrs. Brooks is survived by a son, Charles (Diane) of Grangeville, Idaho; a daughter, Virginia Brooks of Elgin; two brothers, Don (Helene) Yurs of Plato Center, Illinois and William (Marilyn) Yurs of Elkhorn, Wisconsin; a sister, Alice Arians of Plato Center, Illinois; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Forrest; a daughter, Linda Darling; a son, Dale Brooks and her brother, Charles Yurs.
Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 4, 2005 at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 E. Main St. (Corner of Rt. 64 and Rt.25), St. Charles, Illinois. Interment will be at Lakewood cemetery, Elgin, Illinois. Visitation will be Friday from 12 p.m. until the time of the funeral. Contributions may be made to the donor's choice.
Ruth C. Lamz
Ruth C. Lamz, 80, of Elburn died Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at Delnor Community Hospital, Geneva, IL.
She was born on May 19, 1924 in Bloomingdale the daughter of the late George and Irene Burke Rentner.
She was a devoted and beloved wife of Eldon A. Lamz whom she married
on August 22, 1944 in Wheaton.
Dedicated and devoted mother of Dale, David, Duane, Darlene, Daniel (Lisa) Lamz, and Debbie (Rock) Walsh; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert "Bob" Rentner. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter-in-law, Merrie Lamz and a sister-in-law, Jean Rentner.
Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 4, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 297 E. Jefferson Ave., Hampshire, IL 60140 Father Joe Nicolosi Celebrant.
Interment will be private.
Masses in her name would be appreciated.

William A. McClellen
William A. McClellen, age 55, of Elburn, formerly of Carpentersville, IL, passed away at the Jesse Brown Veteran's Center, Chicago, IL, Sunday evening, February 27, 2005, where he had recently become a patient. He was born in Chicago, IL, May 11, 1949, the son of Bernard A. and Jeanne (MacCourt) McClellen.
The family moved to Carpentersville in 1956, where William attended local schools and was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church. He excelled in sports and played on both the Hickory Hill Elementary school team as well as the church team. He loved to fish and was nic-named "Billy Bass". His mother was a model and as a child Bill was actually featured in a Montgomery Ward Catalogue in a fishing boat.
He was active in the Talented Youth organization and performed as "Anton the Great", a magician, with his sister, Cathy, as his assistant. Together, they performed for three days at the World's Fair in New York City, where they shared the stage with Guy Lombardo.
In his late teens, Bill enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he served in Viet Nam with the 101st Airborne. He returned home in 1968, with two purple hearts, but without his best friend, with whom he had enlisted. Bill was proud of his service to his country and was a member of the VFW in West Dundee, IL. He settled in Carpentersville, where he was united in marriage to Jamie Griffith in 1970. They were blessed with one son, Monti and made their home in the Dundee-Elgin area, until 1974 when Bill and Jamie went their separate ways.
Bill was an electronics genius in many ways and was employed at Motorolla in Schaumburg for some years, and later Shakeproof, in Elgin.
In 1998, Bill was united in marriage to Sandra Boryla and they came to make their home in Elburn. Through the years, she and Bill loved making annual trips to Las Vegas. Following a car accident, which fractured his neck, Bill was told that he had bone cancer. Through the years that followed, he endured a great deal of pain, but fought hard for life. He will be remembered as a kind and generous man with the hands of a magician and a heart of gold.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra of Elburn; one son, Monti McClellen of West Dundee, IL; five siblings, Cathy McClellen of Green Lake, WI, Robert (Patty) McClellen of Coal City, IL, James (Brenda) McClellen of Summerfield, FL, David (McClellen of Green Lake, WI and Brian (Patty) McClellen of Carpentersville, IL; one aunt and uncle, Marilyn and John Szurgot of Elgin; as well as nine nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and nephews; and many cousins. In addition, he leaves his wife, Sandra's seven children, and Sandra's 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two nieces.
Visitation will be held Friday from 12 Noon until 1 PM, immediately prior to Mass at St. Gall Catholic Church, Elburn, corner of Shannon and Main Streets. The Rev. Fr. Karl Ganss will officiate. Cremation will follow.
