Flora Jordan
Flora Jordan, 92, of Chicago, and the relative of Hopkins Park residents, died Friday (May 24, 2002) at Riverside Medical Center, Kankakee.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Thursday until the 11 a.m. services at Leak Funeral Home, 7838 South Cottage Grove, Chicago. Rev. Hezekiah Brady Jr. will officiate.
Burial will be in Lincoln cemetery, Blue Island.
She was born June 25, 1909 in Jackson, Miss. Her parents are deceased.
Surviving are one daughter-in-law, Sarah Jordan of Hopkins Park; two grandsons, William III and Patricia Jordan, Darryl and Julie Jordan, all of Hopkins Park; one granddaughter, Gwendolyn and Edward Roby of Chicago; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one nephew and one cousin.
Her husband; one son; and one sister, are deceased.
She attended Pembroke Community Reformed Church.
She was a member of Robichaux Senior Citizen Club Park District.
She enjoyed cooking, sewing, doing crossword puzzles and loved to travel.
George Yasenchak

MORRIS -- Visitation for George Yasenchak, 82, of Morris, formerly of Dwight, will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Hager Memorial Home, Dwight.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Dwight, where he was a member. Rev. James Rickey will officiate.
Burial, with military rites by the American Legion Post, will be in Round Grove cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Morris Hospital or to the donor's choice.
Mr. Yasenchak died Monday (May 27, 2002) at Walnut Grove Health Care Center, Morris.
Mr. Yasenchak had been an insurance agent for State Farm Insurance Agency retiring in 1982. He was also a musician for over 50 years and had his own orchestra, The Merry Men.
He was born April 28, 1920, in Chicago, the son of John and Mary Dudas Yasenchak.
Surviving are his wife, the former Alta Irene Clover, whom he married
Nov. 19, 1940, in Davenport, Iowa; one daughter and son-in-law, Judith and Wayne L. McComb Jr. of Morris; one son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Becky Yasenchak of Sherwood, Ore.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Seven brothers and four sisters are deceased.
He completed high school in Chicago.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving during World War II. He was past commander of the American Legion Post.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Coal City Musician's Local, the Pontiac Moose and the Streator Elks Club.
Jennie DaCosse
CLIFTON -- Visitation for Jennie Lazzara DaCosse, 91, of Clifton, formerly of Kankakee, will be from 9 a.m. Thursday at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Bourbonnais, until the 11:30 a.m. celebration of the funeral Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bradley, where she was a member.
Burial will be in Mt. Calvary cemetery, Kankakee.
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Mrs. DaCosse died Monday (May 27, 2002) at Merkle-Knipprath Nursing Home, Clifton.
She was born May 17, 1911, in Kankakee, the daughter of Vito and Leno Banano Lazzara.
Her husband, Laverne DaCosse, whom she married
Aug. 21, 1948, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, died Oct. 11, 1998.
Surviving are two nephews, Lawrence and Marilyn Skelly of Joliet, Richard and Jean Skelly of Kankakee; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
One sister, Susie Skelly, is deceased.
Mrs. DaCosse had worked at Florence Stove.
She was a member of Madonna de la Rocca.
She enjoyed cooking.
Larry Houston
Larry L. Houston, 17, of Kankakee, died Sunday (May 26, 2002) at Riverside Medical Center.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. Friday until the 10:30 a.m. services at Lax Mortuary, Kankakee.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
He was born Oct. 17, 1984, in Chicago, the son of Gloria Houston and Larry Ladd.
Surviving are his parents of Kankakee; three brothers and one sister-in-law, Leonard and Amy Houston, Samanael Houston, all of Kankakee, Reginald Houston of Phoenix, Ariz.; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Cynthia and Larry Barnett of Phoenix, Ariz., Gloria Houston and Vloria Houston, both of Kankakee; maternal grandmother, Cassie Houston of Kankakee; special friend, Detra Lanice Barker of Kankakee; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
One brother, Lawrence Houston; and one sister, Claudia Houston, are deceased.
He was a member of International Deliverance Outreach Ministry.
Mr. Houston was a junior at Kankakee High School.
He loved to make others laugh. He played basketball and loved to rap and watch Dragon Ball "Z."
Laurance Russell
COAL CITY -- Laurance Allen Russell, 60, of Coal City, died Tuesday (May 28, 2002) at Hines Veterans Hospital in Maywood.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Thursday until the 1 p.m. services at the First Presbyterian Church, Braidwood, where he was a member. Rev. Coleman Coates will officiate.
Burial will be in the Abraham Lincoln National cemetery, Elwood.
Memorials may to made to the American Cancer Society.
R.W. Patterson Funeral Homes, Braidwood are in charge of arrangements.
He was born Sept. 18, 1941, in Oak Park, the son of Robert Frank and Laura Ellen Liepart Russell. His parents are deceased.
Surviving are two sons, Gary Steven Russell and Carl Robert Russell, both of Plano; one granddaughter, Savannah Russell; and one sister and brother-in-law, Bobbi and William Borbas of Plainfield.
He was a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1963-65.
Mr. Russell was a retired tool and die maker. He was formerly employed at Spraying Systems in Bellwood and had also been employed as a High Value Freight Guarantor for the Railway System.
He loved trains.

Leslie W. Knowles, 100, of Bourbonnais, died today (May 29, 2002) at Provena St. Mary's Hospital, Kankakee.

Mary Einfeldt
Visitation for Mary Lou Einfeldt, 74, of South Pasadena, Fla., formerly of Kankakee, will be from 4 p.m. Friday until the 7 p.m. services at Hertz-Thoma Funeral Chapel, Kankakee.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Mrs. Einfeldt died Friday (May 24, 2002) at Palms of Pasadena Hospital in South Pasadena.
She was born Feb. 17, 1928, in Terre Haute, Ind., the daughter of Walter Andrew Sr. and Bertha Louise Brandenstein Schultz.
Her husbands, Martin Fieleke and Harold Einfeldt, are deceased.
Surviving are four daughters and one son-in-law, Sharon Fieleke Lowey of Kankakee, Stephanie Fieleke Kibbons of Big Fork, Mont., Dawn Einfeldt of South Pasadena, Fla., Judi Einfeldt Crowley and Larry Crowley of South Pasadena, Fla.; two stepsons, Gary and Geri Einfeldt of Kankakee, Rick and Sherry Einfeldt of Bourbonnais; one sister and brother-in-law, Teresa and Roger Giguere; one sister-in-law, Beverly Schultz; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
One brother, Walter Schultz; and one sister and brother-in-law, Alberta and Everett Fieleke, are deceased.
Mrs. Einfeldt was a retired Mental Health Tech III from Shapiro Developmental Center.
She was affiliated with Calvary Chapel in Florida.
She enjoyed reading, sewing, puzzles, traveling and outdoor activities.
Her greatest achievement was her family.
Lois Holmes Mann
LIMESTONE TOWNSHIP -- Services for Lois Holmes Mann, 96, of Limestone Township, were held May 25 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Kankakee. Revs. Donald Mann and Morris Chalfant officiated.
Mrs. Mann died May 22, 2002.
Burial was in Mound Grove Gardens cemetery. Pallbearers were Don and Bob Butz, Ken Naese, Roger Peters, Rodney Ohm and Wally Kiedaisch.
Dorothy McCray
CISSNA PARK -- Services for Dorothy E. McCray, 79, of Cissna Park, were held May 25 at the Knapp Funeral Home, Cissna Park. Rev. John Lang officiated.
Mrs. McCray died May 21, 2002.
Burial was in Amity cemetery, Milford. Pallbearers were Aaron, Chad, Adam and Michael McCray, John Harris, Tim Rich and Scott Vogel.
Lena McKinney
Services for Lena McKinney, 88, of Bourbonnais, were held May 26 at College Church of the Nazarene, Bourbonnais. Her son-in-law, Lenny Wisehart, officiated.
Mrs. McKinney died May 24, 2002.
Burial was in Mound Grove Gardens cemetery. Pallbearers were Keith Campbell, Ryan Hauge, Christopher Pollack, J.B. Burton and Brady Wisehart.
Jack Anderson
Services for Jack L. Anderson, 64, of Manteno, were held May 28 at the Brown Funeral Home, Manteno. Rev. Harvey Gaither officiated.
Mr. Anderson died May 23, 2002.
Burial was in Elmwood cemetery. Pallbearers were Rich Mahler, Tim, Steve and Charles Anderson and Delbert McQueen.
