WATSEKA -- Visitation for Lula Belle Durflinger, 66, of Watseka, will be from 1-1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Segur-Knapp Funeral Home, Watseka.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Oakland cemetery, Morocco, Ind. Rev. Joe Hughes will officiate.
Memorials may be made to Magnolia Wood Health Care Center, Watseka.
Mrs. Durflinger died Sunday (May 19, 2002) at Iroquois Memorial Hospital, Watseka.
She was born Aug. 27, 1935, in Watseka, the daughter of John Lester and Virginia Ruth Glines Sapp.
Her husband, Roger James Durflinger, whom she married
Nov. 1, 1952, in Watseka, died May 28, 1992.
Surviving are one daughter, Deborah Anglin of Strawn; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Roscoe and Nevada Durflinger of Donovan, John Durflinger of Rensselear, Ind., David and Rebecca Durflinger of Watseka; three sisters, May Albright, Marie Kissack and Nancy Durflinger, all of Watseka; and seven grandchildren.
One brother; one son; and one daughter, are deceased.
Mrs. Durflinger enjoyed fishing, outdoor activities, animals and crafts.
Nettie Kohl
Nettie J. Kohl, 84, of Watseka, died Monday (May 20, 2002).
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Friday until the 11 a.m. services at Baier Funeral Home, Watseka. Joe Hughes will officiate.
Burial will be in GAR cemetery, Watseka.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
She was born Dec. 19, 1917, in Chicago, the daughter of John and Milley Axtell McCloskey.
Her husband, Henry Kohl, whom she married
Dec. 26, 1935, in Kankakee, is deceased.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Mary Kohl, Jerry and Sandy Kohl, all of Watseka; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one sister, Nita Keller of Sheldon; and several nieces and nephews.
One grandson, Mark Kohl, is deceased.
Mrs. Kohl worked at Radio Condenser and Littlefuse for many years.
She enjoyed gardening and flowers.
Raymond Gould
Raymond L. Gould, 96, of Kankakee, died Sunday (May 19, 2002) at the Kankakee Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Cremation rites were accorded. Private services will be held at a later date.
R.W. Patterson Funeral Homes, Braidwood, are in charge of arrangements.
He was born June 7, 1905, in Milford, Iowa, the son of William James and Mary Ann Lowe Gould.
Surviving are one brother, Harold R. Gould of Wilmington; one sister, Helen M. Kassner of Deerfield; and 15 nieces and nephews.
Two brothers, Robert J. and William E. Gould; one sister, Inez M. Feltenz McClyman; and one niece, Gwenolyn Schauf, are deceased.
Mr. Gould spent much of his life working on area farms in Grundy County.
Sherre Martin
Sherre Martin, 28, of Kankakee, died Monday (May 20, 2002) at St. James Hospital, Olympia Fields.
Visitation is tentatively set for Friday with services on Saturday.
Arrangements are by Lax Mortuary, Kankakee.
Donna Wolfe
CHEBANSE -- Services for Donna M. Wolfe, 67, of Chebanse, were held May 20 at the Knapp Funeral Home, Clifton.
Mrs. Wolfe died May 16, 2002.
Burial was in Evergreen cemetery, Chebanse. Pallbearers were Tim Gernon, Art Brown, Glenn Houk, Steve Knapp, Bill Cotter and Bruce Schreffler.

CRETE -- Arlene A. Sons, 73, of Crete, died Tuesday (May 21, 2002) in Chicago Heights.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. Friday until the 7 p.m. services at the Hack Funeral Home, Beecher. Rev. Greg Howse will officiate.
Burial will be in Skyline Memorial Park, Monee.
She was born Nov. 19, 1928, in Crete Township, the daughter of Henry A. and Emma Smith Rehborg.
Surviving are her husband, Otto L. Sons, of Crete; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Larry L. and Linda Sons and William Sons, all of Crete; one daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Doug Oldham of Goreville; one sister, Adeline Rehborg of Crete; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Sons was a member of Cornerstone Christian Church.
Audrey DesLauriers
LAFAYETTE, Colo. -- Audrey M. Wulffe DesLauriers, 83, of Lafayette, Colo., formerly of Kankakee, died Saturday (May 18, 2002) after an extended illness.
A memorial service will be held July 18 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Kankakee.

Cremation rites will be accorded.
Among her survivors are her husband, Lawrence DesLauriers of Bradley; and her daughter, Ann Allegro of Kankakee.

DANVILLE -- Visitation for Edward James Surprenant, 61, of Danville, formerly of Kankakee, will be from 4-8 p.m. today, with an 8 p.m. prayer service, at the Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Catholic Church. Rev. Doug Hennessey will officiate.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

Mr. Surprenant died Monday (May 20, 2002) at his home.
His survivors also include a brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Mary Ellen Surprenant of Kankakee.

BEECHER -- Hertha Hofmann, 61, of Beecher, died Monday (May 20, 2002) in Valparaiso, Ind.
Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Hack Funeral Home, Beecher.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Beecher, where she was a member. Rev. Maynard Toensing will officiate.
Burial will be in St. John's United Church of Christ cemetery.

She was born Dec. 15, 1940, in Hammond, Ind., the daughter of Walter and Ann Lenz Schweitzer.
Her husband, Paul Hofmann, died in 1993.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Bridget Hofmann of Hammond, Ind., Timothy and Melissa Hofmann of Beecher; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Hildegard and Eric Haydl of Valparaiso, Ind., Helen and James Kaminski of Wichita, Kan.; and four grandchildren.

Visitation for Lois M. Johnson, 79, of Bourbonnais, was held 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Hertz-Thoma Funeral Chapel, Kankakee.
Services were private. Rev. Craig Sweet officiated.
Burial was in Mound Grove Gardens cemetery.

Mrs. Johnson died Sunday (May 19, 2002) at Momence Meadows Nursing Center.
Mrs. Johnson was the manager at Spiegel's from 1969 until they closed. She was also a self-employed beautician and had worked in shipping and receiving as a clerk for L&S; Bait Company.
She was born Nov. 8, 1922, the daughter of Fred Knoll and Lillian Kruse.
Surviving are her husband, Leonard W. Johnson, whom she married
Dec. 27, 1941, in Knoxville, Tenn.;one son, Terrance Johnson and his fiancee, Judith; and one grandson, Derek Johnson.
She enjoyed traveling, golf, cards and was an avid Cubs fan.
