Lillie Cooper
CHICAGO -- Lillie Mae Cooper of Chicago and a former area resident, died Monday (May 13, 2002) at Trinity Hospital, Chicago.
Visitation will be from 5-6 p.m. Sunday, followed by services at 7 p.m., at True Vine of Holiness Missionary Baptist Church, 400 East 111th St., Chicago.
Her husband, Emerson Cooper Jr., is deceased.
Surviving are two sisters, Hazel Sykes-Gonzalez of Sun River Terrace and Rosetta Mason of Kankakee.
One daughter, Patricia "Tricia" Cooper, is deceased.
Robert Mogged
PIPER CITY -- Visitation for Robert Mogged, 68, of Piper City, will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, with an 8 p.m. rosary service, at the Reilly-Redenius Funeral Home, Piper City.
A funeral Mass will be con-celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Peter Catholic Church, Piper City, by Revs. John Balluff and Denis White.
Burial will be in Calvary cemetery, Piper City.
Memorials may be made to the Handicap Access Project of St. Peter Catholic Church, Piper City; the Community Cancer Center, 407 E. Vernon, Normal, IL 61761; or to St. James Hospice, 301 W. Washington St., Pontiac, IL 61764.
Mr. Mogged died Wednesday (May 15, 2002) after a lengthy battle with cancer.
He was born Oct. 3, 1933, in Altamont, S.D., the son of Otto and Ida Lena Fritz Mogged.
Surviving are his wife, the former Patricia Colravy, whom he married
Aug. 25, 1956, at St. Peter Catholic Church, Piper City; four sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Kim Mogged, Timothy and Ann Mogged, Paul and Sharon Mogged, all of Piper City, Michael and Tina Mogged of Flanagan; two daughters and sons-in-law, Shellan and Richard Schwank of Godfrey, Maureen and Ricky McIntosh of Normal; one sister, Evelyn Glazer of Clifton, N.J.; six brothers, Otto Mogged of Payson, Ariz., Roy Mogged of Martinton, Harvey Mogged of Bartonville, Charles Mogged of Carlsbad, N.M., Glenn Mogged of Piper City, Harry Mogged of LaHogue; and 18 grandchildren.
He was a 1951 graduate of Piper City High School and attended the University of Illinois for two years. He was raised in Aroma Park, Danforth and Piper City.
He was a U.S. Army veteran serving from June 1953 to May 1955 with the 580th Helicopter Transport Company. He was a member of the Chatsworth American Legion Post.
Mr. Mogged was the owner of Robert Mogged Construction retiring in 1999 after 32 years.
He was a Brenton Precinct Democratic Committeeman and a Ford County Democratic Chairman. He was a past member of the Lions Club, Piper City; and a past Cub and Webelos Scoutmaster.
He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Piper City.
He was an avid Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bears fan.
Ruth Moore
Ruth Moore, 87, of Bourbonnais, died Thursday (May 16, 2002) at Momence Meadows Nursing Home.
Arrangements are pending at the Bourbonnais Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes.
Stanley Milne
JOLIET -- Stanley G. Milne, 81, of Joliet, and the father of a Coal City resident, died Saturday (May 11, 2002) at Provena Villa Franciscan in Joliet.
Services were held May 15 at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home in Joliet.
Burial was in Woodlawn Memorial Park in Joliet.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater Illinois Chapter.
He was born Oct. 5, 1920, in Clemenston, Minn., the son of Frank and Agnes Milne.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Adeline E. Milne of Joliet; five daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and John Clark of Racine, Wis., Linda and Fred Madsen of Milwaukee, Wis., Judy and Jim Leslie of Crown Point, Ind., Gail and Joe Scarcelli of Joliet, Betty and Brian Blottiaux of Lockport; one son and daughter-in-law, Gordon and Cathy Milne of Coal City; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Jean and Richard Nell of Toole, Utah, Isabele Culbertson of Puyallup, Wash.; and several nieces and nephews.
Six brothers and two sisters are deceased.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during World War II and a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the U.S. Army in 1966 after 22 years of service. He was a member of Cantigny Post 367 VFW, the American Canadian Grand Lodge A.F.&A.M.;, the National World War II Memorial and the Danville Scottish Rites.
He was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd.
Mr. Milne retired from Insta-Form in 1981.
Walter Bac
MOMENCE -- Walter Bac, 89, of Momence, formerly of Manteno, died Monday (May 13, 2002) at Stonecrest Manor in Momence.
There will be no visitation.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Christ Church in Oak Brook.
Cremation rites were accorded.
Memorials may be made to the family wishes.
Cotter Funeral Home, Momence, is in charge of arrangements.
He was born July 14, 1912, in Harvey, the son of John and Sophie Madera Bach.
Surviving are one daughter, Carol Christiansen of Romeoville; one granddaughter, Samantha Christiansen of Romeoville; and one sister, Bernice Kozlowski of East Chicago, Ind.
Two brothers and one sister are deceased.
Mr. Bac had been a nurse at Manteno Mental Health Center.
Barbara Parker
ST. ANNE -- Barbara J. Parker, 39, of St. Anne, died Tuesday (May 14, 2002) at Riverside Medical Center, Kankakee.
Services will be private.
Momence Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
She was born Nov. 3, 1962, in Evergreen Park, the daughter of Roy and Olgo Senuta Parker. Her mother is deceased.
Surviving are her longtime friend, Nick Bathel of St. Anne; her father of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Pat and Dennis Young of River Edge, N.J., Cynthia and Ken Specha of Lemont and Marcia and Tim Biggar of San Diego, Calif.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Church of St. Anne.
Eva Emery
Eva Mae Emery, 71, formerly of Kankakee, died Monday (May 13, 2002) in Jonesboro, Ark.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Bourbonnais Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Burial will be in Kankakee Memorial Gardens cemetery.
Harry Menzel
LINCOLN -- Harry William Menzel, 85, of Lincoln, and the relative of several area residents, died Tuesday (May 14, 2002) in Lincoln.
He was born April 2, 1917, in Lincoln, the son of Julius and Carrie Jaggi Menzel.
He was a World War II veteran, opening and closing the base in Malden, Mo., where he met his wife, the former Dorothy Dean Earle. They were married
in 1943 in Malden.
Mr. Menzel retired from the Farm Service Corporation in Lincoln.
He is survived by his wife; four sons and daughters-in-law, Harry Earle and Jean Menzel of Kankakee, David and Patricia Menzel of Springfield, Michael and Marsha Menzel of Williamsville, Scott and Wendy Menzel of Louisville, Ky.
He is also survived by grandchildren: Kari and Shane Foster of Kankakee, Danielle Menzel of Morris Plains, N.J., Harry Carter Menzel of DeKalb, Evan Menzel and Jamie Menzel, both of Springfield, Dane and Cole Menzel of Williamsville, Scott Alex Menzel of Louisville, Ky.; and two great-grandsons, Samuel and Maxwell Foster of Kankakee.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday at the Fricke Funeral Home, Lincoln.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Lincoln United Methodist Church.
Interment will follow the services.

ONARGA -- Leslie V. Conn, 81, of Hot Springs, Ark., formerly of Onarga, died Wednesday (May 15, 2002) at the National Park Medical Center in Hot Springs.

Robert Allen

JACKSON, Tenn. -- Robert Lee Allen Sr., 74, of Jackson, Tenn., a former 50-year resident of Kankakee, died Monday (May 6, 2002) at his home.
Services were held May 11 at St. James Baptist Church, Humboldt, Tenn. Elder Robert Ferguson officiated.
Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery, Humboldt, Tenn.
He was born Sept. 7, 1927, in Humboldt, Tenn.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Robert Jr. and Cassandra Allen of Kankakee; two daughters and one son-in-law, Marie and James Armstrong and Kenna Allen, all of Kankakee; three sisters and three brothers-in-law, Mary Nell McLemore of Alton, Austin McLemore of Royal Lakes, Evelyn and Joe Williams of Decatur, Betty and Jimmy Banks of Springfield; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one aunt, Marie Alley of Raeford, N.C.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
His parents, Jim Allen and Bessie D. Allen Timberlake; one son, Richard Allen; one brother, James Allen Jr.; and one sister, Birdie Louise Bryson, are deceased.
He was raised and educated in Humboldt.
Mr. Allen had worked as an operator for Roper Corporation and later as a technician for Gaines Foods until his retirement.
He was a member of Zion Gate Missionary Baptist Church where he served on the Trustee Board. He also was an active member of Prince Hall Free Mason's "True Lodge 136'' serving as worshipful master and as secretary.

Rose Cooper
Rose Mary Cooper, 67, of Milwaukee, Wis., formerly of Kankakee, died Friday (May 10, 2002) at her home.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the House of Prayer Apostolic Church of God, Kankakee. Rev. Claudius Anderson will officiate.
Burial will be in Mound Grove Gardens cemetery.
Jones Funeral Home, Kankakee, is in charge of arrangements.
She was born June 25, 1934, the daughter of Virge D. and Susie E. Purnell Adams. Her parents are deceased.
Surviving are her husband, Daniel Lee Cooper Sr., whom she married
May 10, 1958; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Daniel Lee Jr. and Arnettea Cooper, Gregory Cooper, Jerome Cooper, all of Milwaukee, Wis., Cornelius and Dionna Cooper of Norfolk, Va.; three daughters, Mary Cooper, Martha Cooper and Beverly (Ronnie) Mays-Cooper, all of Milwaukee, Wis.; two spiritual daughters, Anita Harris and Linda Robinson, both of Milwaukee; two sisters, Bertha Parnell of Kankakee, Delores Burrell of Aurora; one brother, Ben Adams of Kankakee; 25 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Five sisters and two brothers are deceased.
She was a graduate of Lambert High School
Mrs. Cooper had worked at Manteno State Hospital from 1955-1975 as a dietary aide.
She was a member of All Nations Pentecostal House of Prayer in Milwaukee.
She enjoyed singing, sewing, cooking, reading and interior decorating.
