Leona Frye
CISSNA PARK -- Leona H. Frye, 84, of Cissna Park, died Saturday (May 4, 2002) at Hawthorne Inn Nursing Home in Danville.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Knapp Funeral Home in Cissna Park with a 3:45 p.m. rosary.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Penfield. The Rev. Bill Keebler will officiate.
Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Church or the donor's choice.
Mrs. Frye was born Feb. 11, 1918, in Rankin, the daughter of Clifford L. and Nora May Pierce Marshall.
Her husband, Lester Frye, whom she married
June 6, 1937, in Watseka, died Jan. 24, 1979.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Norletta and Edward Bryleski of Danville; one son and daughter-in-law, James and Mary Frye of Las Vegas, Nev.; two brothers, Clifford Leroy Marshall of Paxton and Richard Marshall of Mahomet; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
One brother, Jack Marshall; and one great-grandchild, are deceased.
Mrs. Frye was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Rankin.
She served as a bookkeeper for Drs. Wirsing, Olaf, Foellner and Dodia for 28 years until her retirement.
She was a volunteer at Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka and was a member of Cissna Park American Legion Auxiliary.
She enjoyed gardening.
Shirley Blaylock
Shirley D. Blaylock, 67, of Bourbonnais, died Saturday (May 4, 2002) at her home.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. Tuesday until the 7 p.m. memorial service at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Bourbonnais.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Burial will be in All Saints cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to Hospice of Kankakee Valley.
Mrs. Blaylock was born Jan. 26, 1935, in Chicago, the daughter of Wellington J. and Irene Mosier Small. Her parents are deceased.
Surviving are her husband, Paul E. Blaylock, whom she married
Jan. 5, 1954, in Rensselaer, Ind., of Bourbonnais; one son, Tim Blaylock of Bourbonnais; five daughters and two sons-in-law, Doreen Blaylock of Limestone, Kathryn and Brian Kaack of Manteno, Barbara Blaylock of Owosso, Mich., Lee Blaylock and David Dillon of Kankakee, Julie and Tony Williams of Bourbonnais; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Larry and Glen Small of Hot Springs, Ark., Ronald and Eileen Small of Plainfield, Richard and Carol Small of Midlothian, Howard Small of Maryland; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
One brother, Donald Small, is deceased.
Thomas Cook
WILMINGTON -- Thomas O. Cook, 63, of Wilmington, died Saturday (May 4, 2002) at the home of his son in Morris.
Private services will be held.
Cremation rites were accorded.
Arrangements are by R.W. Patterson Funeral Homes Ltd., Braidwood Chapel.
Mr. Cook was born July 26, 1938, in Chicago, the son of Charles and Phyllis Westenfelder Cook. His parents are deceased.
His wife, the former Therese V. "Terri" Laurence, is deceased.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Louis "Ted" and Dr. Rhonda Cook of Morris; one daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Tom Porter of Aurora; four grandchildren; and one brother and sister-in-law, David and Deborah Kerr Cook.
Mr. Cook was employed for the past 40 years and was a current CEO of National Casein Co. in Chicago.
He was a member of Ducks Unlimited, the NAAHC, and the Lions Club of Chicago, where he formerly served as president.
Alice Goddard
Visitation for Alice P. Goddard, 91, of Bourbonnais, will be from 2-6 p.m. today at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Bourbonnais, and from 9:30 a.m. Monday until the 10:30 a.m. service at River Valley Christian Fellowship in Bradley. Rev. George Miller will officiate.
Burial will be in Goddard cemetery in Creal Springs.
Memorials may be made to River Valley Christian Fellowship.
Mrs. Goddard died Friday (May 3, 2002) at Provena Our Lady of Victory Nursing Home.
She was born Aug. 12, 1910 in Sunrise, Ill., the daughter of John and Stella Cole Duncan.
Her husband, Cecil Goddard, whom she married
in 1930, died in 1970.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Morton and Carol Goddard of Kankakee; two grandchildren, Scott and Kris Goddard, Christine and Aaron Wells, all of Bourbonnais; three great-grandchildren, Shane Wells, Travis Goddard, Brittani Overacker; and one nephew, Norman Duncan of Marion.
One son, James; one daughter, Roberta; and one brother, Earl Duncan, are deceased.
Mrs. Goddard was retired from Manteno State Hospital.
She was a member of the River Valley Christian Fellowship and a member of the Golden Agers.
She enjoyed crocheting and quilting.
Annette Belluso
Visitation for Annette Rosella Belluso, 86, of Kankakee, will be from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Bourbonnais, with a 5 p.m. wake service.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Rose of Lima Chuch in Kankakee.
Burial will be in Mount Calvary cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Kankakee Valley or to St. Rose of Lima Church.
Mrs. Belluso died Friday (May 3, 2002) at her home.
She was born Aug. 1, 1915 in Bourbonnais, the daughter of Archille and maria Laroche Boucher.
Her husband, Joseph Isacco Belluso, whom she married
July 3, 1934 at Maternity Church, died in 1997.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Doris Belluso of Kankakee; three daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and John Lagacy of St. Anne, Sandra and Tom Terry of St. Paul, Minn., Kathryn and Dave Langevin of Fairfield, Conn.; one brother, Joseph Boucher of Bradley; 18 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
One son, Michael; and one brother, John; and four sisters, Isabelle Betourne, Rita Hanson, Angela Nelson and Ethel Stankowicz, are deceased.
Mrs. Belluso was a teacher at St. Martin and St. Rose Schools, and St. Joseph's Seminary.
She was employed at Bear Brand Hosiery for three years.
Clarence Schubbe
PEOTONE -- Clarence Schubbe, 90, of Peotone, died Saturday (May 4, 2002) at Manorcare Health Services in Kankakee.
Arrangements are pending at Fedde-Helfrich Chapel in Peotone.
Edward Lustik
ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Edward A. Lustik, 89, of St. Paul, Minn., formerly of Bradley, died Wednesday (May 1, 2002).
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Hertz-Thoma Chapel with a 6 p.m. wake service.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley. Rev. John Antczak will officiate.
Burial will be in All Saints cemetery, Bourbonnais.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made for Masses.
Mr. Lustik was born March 3, 1913 in Bradley, the son of Anzelm and Mary Flerin Lustik.
His wife, the former Josephine Kremer, whom he married
May 2, 1942 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Kankakee, is deceased.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Monica and Marc Brower of White Bear Lake, Minn.; one brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Vera Lustik of Bradley; and two grandchildren, J. Nicholas Brower of Castine, Me., and Meredeth Brower of St. Paul, Minn.
One son, Charles; three sisters, Loretta Sarakine, Josie Shalek, and Sister Sabina Lustik OP; and two brothers-in-law, George Sarakine and George Shalek, are deceased.
Mr. Lustik was a tool and die maker for many years at LS Bait in Bradley.
He retired from McKibben Engineering in St. Anne.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley.
He was a lifelong member of Knights of Columbus St. Viator Councel, enjoyed river fishing, and was a great woodworker.
Frank Casino
Frank Casino, 77, of Bradley, died Saturday (May 4, 2002) at Riverside Medical Center.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday at Fitzpatrick Funeral Directors.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley.
Burial will be in All Saints cemetery in Bourbonnais.
Memorials may be made to the family.
Mr. Casino was born Oct. 8, 1925 in Bradley, the son of Charles and Mary Domino Casino.
Surviving are two sisters, Josephine Minor of Chicago, Mary Buttle of California; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Carl and Dorothy Casino of Bradley, Bennie Casino of Champaign; and several nieces and nephews.
Two sisters are deceased.
Mr. Casino was a teacher in the Manteno School district, and was a physical education coach.
He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps, 1st Lt. in the 8th Air Force, B-24 tail gunner, flying 31 missions.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley, and enjoyed boating and fishing, and was an avid collector.
Gladys Thoeming
Gladys Lucille Thoeming, 87, of Kankakee, died Wednesday (May 1, 2002) at Riverside Medical Center.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Mound Grove Gardens cemetery. Rev. Kathy Sweet will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the family.

She was born Oct. 25, 1914, in Tuscola, the daughter of Charles Fred and Lorena Sarah Gaddy Thoeming.
Surviving are one sister, Ina Jean Gunn of Kankakee; two nephews, Jack Rogganbuck of Kankakee, James Rogganbuck of Caulfield, Mo.; one niece, Margaret Prizak of Dickinson, Texas; and several cousins.
One brother, Robert Thoeming, is deceased.
She took her nurses training at St. Mary's Hospital.
Miss Thoeming was a registered nurse at Pasavant Hospital for 20 years and then worked for Northwest Memorial Hospital.
She loved her cats, flowers and gardening.
