Almeda Clark
DURAND - Visitation for Almeda Sophia Clark, 84, of Durand, formerly of Cullom, will be from 11 a.m. until the noon service Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Cullom. Rev. Ed Stone will officiate.
Burial will be in West Lawn cemetery in Cullom.
Memorials may be made to the family's wishes.
Arrangements are by Harris-Martin-Burke Funeral Home in Cullom.
Mrs. Clark died Monday (June 11, 2001) at Rockford Memorial Hospital.
She was born Jan. 21, 1917, in Sullivan Township, Livingston County, the daughter of George and Anette Margaret Hack Billerbeck.
Her husband, Mareen T. Clark, whom she married
June 30, 1937, in Cullom, died Nov. 15, 1986.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Roger and Loretta Clark of South Beloit, and Terry and Linda Clark of Grand Junction, Colo.; three grandchildren, Lynn and Derek Horkan, Thomas and Mindy Clark, and Patricia Clark; and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Clark taught for two years.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Cullom, and attended Grace Lutheran Church in Loves Park.
June Heaney
JOLIET - June Ann Heaney, 76, of Joliet, mother of a Coal City resident, died Friday (June 8, 2001) at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.
Services were held June 11 at St. Jude Catholic Church, where she was a member.
Burial was in Abraham Lincoln National cemetery.
Mrs. Heaney was born in Joliet, the daughter of Steve and Louise Meyers McGowan.
Surviving are her husband, David J. Heaney of Joliet; one daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Bill Worthington of Coal City; one son and daughter-in-law, David P. and Kim Heaney of Joliet; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Three sisters, Mary Lou Scott, Rita Stonitsch, and Betty Smith, are deceased.
Neary Speed
HOPKINS PARK - Neary Speed, 67, of Hopkins Park, died Tuesday (June 12, 2001) at home.
Services are scheduled for Saturday at Union Baptist Church in Hopkins Park.
Arrangements are being handled by Lax Mortuary.
M. Edwin Marlin
Marshal Edwin "Ed" Marlin, 54, of Glenview, formerly of Kankakee, died Sunday (July 29, 2001).
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at the Donnellan Family Funeral Home, 10045 Skokie Blvd. at Old Orchard Rd., Skokie.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Glenview, where he was a member.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sr. Paulanne's Needy Family Fund c/o Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 1775 Grove St., Glenview, IL 60025.
He currently was managing director, marketing/client service officer of Bear Stearns Asset Management. He formerly was a vice president for Interand Corporation; a deputy director of the Illinois Department of Commerce and Community Affairs; and had served as director of Business Affairs and Chief Investment Officer for Kankakee Community College.
Surviving are his wife, the former Sharon Schockey, of Glenview; one son, John Marlin; one brother and sister-in-law, Kevin and Brenda Marlin; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Janet and Craig Schwarzentraub; and three nieces, Katherine, Beth and Kim.
His parents, Maurice and Maxine Marlin, are deceased.
He received a bachelor of science degree in marketing and an MBA in finance from the University of Illinois.
Mr. Marlin had taught in Kankakee School District and had managed the Racquet Club of Kankakee.
He was a member of the Kankakee Country Club.
Ida Dawson
Ida L. Dunbar Dawson, 95, of Kankakee, formerly of Lovington and Lake City, died Sunday (July 29, 2001) at her daughter's home in Kankakee.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Wednesday until the 11 a.m. services at the Reed Funeral Home, Sullivan.
Burial will be in Keller cemetery, Lovington.
At her request, memorials are suggested to the Lovington Ambulance Service.
Mrs. Dawson had worked at Munch's Drugstore in Lovington and was postmistress at Lake City 1967 to 1979. She also did sewing and alterations in her home.
Ida was born Nov. 12, 1905, the daughter of Harvey and Ruth Threewit Markley, in Fayette County, the oldest of eight children.
She married
C.W. Dunbar on Jan. 11, 1927 and he preceded her in death on Jan. 10, 1951. She then married
H.O. Dawson in October of 1960 and he preceded her in death in November 1967.
Surviving are her daughter, Vivian Brumitt of Kankakee; a very special friend, Debby Sherwood of Sullivan; one brother, Ivan Markley of Kankakee; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters; three brothers and one son-in-law.
She had been a member of the Lovington Methodist Church since 1942.
Ida made her home in Lovington from 1942 until 1960; in Lake City from 1960 to 1995 when she came to Kankakee and made her home with her daughter.
She loved flowers, gardening, cooking, crocheting and people.
Herschel Graybeal
MANTENO - Visitation for Herschel "Bud" Graybeal Jr., 82, of Manteno, will be from 2-9 p.m. today at the Community-Opyt Funeral Home, 14338 S. Indiana Ave., Riverdale.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Redeemer Lutheran Church, South Holland. Rev. John Lange will officiate.
Burial will be in Oakland Memory Lanes, Dolton.
Mr. Graybeal died Saturday (July 28, 2001) at Riverside Medical Center, Kankakee.
Mr. Graybeal had been a funeral director for more than 50 years.
He was born Dec. 2, 1918, in Chicago.
His wife, the former Edna Allen, died in 1991.
Surviving are two daughters and one son-in-law, Joan Zerebniak of Lansing, Sherri and Ronald Zielinski of Manteno; one sister, Betty Bickham of Crestwood; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
One brother-in-law, John Bickham, is deceased.
He was a past member of the Riverdale-Dolton Kiwanis and the Dolton Chapter of Rotary International.
He was a member of the Illinois Funeral Directors Association and Risen Savior Lutheran Church.
Mr. Graybeal had been a volunteer at Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey and at Redeemer Lutheran Church in South Holland.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during World War II.
Gerald Bouvier
COAL CITY - Gerald Bouvier, 63, of Coal City, died Monday (July 30, 2001) at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center.
Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Thursday at Ferrari Funeral Services, 1044 Ferrari Drive, Coal City.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Assumption Church. Revs. Donald O'Connor and Tom Corely will officiate.
Burial will be in Mt. Olivet cemetery, Braidwood.
Memorials may be made in his name for Masses at a church of the donor's choice.
He was born Dec. 11, 1937, in Massena, N.Y.
Surviving are his wife, Therese Bouvier; his mother, Mary Bouvier; two daughters, Michele and Nicolle Bouvier; one son, Michael Bouvier; two stepchildren, Sean (Jennifer) McGinn and Kelly McGinn; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Joseph and Arlene Bouvier, Maurice Bouvier, Lawrence and Mary Ann Bouvier, James and Pat Bouvier; five sisters and four brothers-in-law, Hilda and Bill Hinman, Marie and Ed Riley, Jeanine LeBoeuf, Julia and Joseph Revai, Mary and George Perry; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
His father, Leo Bouvier; and one brother-in-law, Don LeBoeuf, are deceased.
Mr. Bouvier was the president of the Legion of Mary Joliet Diocese.

Dora Armenise, 89, of Bourbonnais, died Monday (July 30, 2001) at Riverside Medical Center, Kankakee.

ST. ANNE - Irene Cole, 54, of St. Anne, died Monday (July 30, 2001) at Provena St. Mary's Hospital, Kankakee.

Denise Marquis
DONOVAN - Visitation for Denise R. Marquis, 84, of Donovan, will be from 4-8 p.m. today, with a 7 p.m. wake service at the Clancy-Gernon-Houk Funeral Home, St. Anne. Rev. Robert Coleman will officiate.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at St. Mary's Church, Beaverville, where she was a member.
Memorials may be made to Iroquois Memorial Hospice.
Mrs. Marquis died Friday (July 27, 2001) at her home.
She was born Dec. 7, 1916, in Donovan, the daughter of Joe and Lucy Paquette Laney.
Her husband, William Marquis, whom she married

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, William and Diane Marquis of Donovan; one daughter, Brundy Marron of Tyler, Texas; one brother, Delmer Laney of Watseka; one sister-in- law, Helen Laney of Clifton; seven grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren.
One brother, Lomer Laney; two sisters, Isabelle Potts and Louise Laney; and one son-in- law, Tom Marron, are deceased.
Mrs. Marquis was a retired nursing technician at Shapiro Developmental Center.
Ruth Young
CISSNA PARK - Visitation and services for Ruth L. Young, 91, of Cissna Park, will be private.
Burial will be in German Apostolic Christian cemetery, Cissna Park.
Arrangements are by the Knapp Funeral Home, Cissna Park.
Mrs. Young died Monday (July 30, 2001) at her home.
She was born July 14, 1910, in Rankin, the daughter of Daniel and Elizabeth Witzig Gudeman.
Surviving are her husband, Ralph Young, whom she married
Dec. 1, 1940, in Cissna Park; two daughters, Ruby Young and Estherjean Schmid, both of Cissna Park; nine sons, Harvey Young of East Peoria, Norman Young of Fairbury, Duane Young of Chatham, Lester Young of Cissna Park, Lynn Young of Normal, Henry Young of Heathrow, Fla., Dale Young of McKinney, Texas, Melvin Young of Buckley, Morris Young of DeKalb; one sister, Martha Fehr of Fairbury; 38 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Two sisters; three brothers; and one grandchild, are deceased.
Mrs. Young was a member of German Apostolic Christian Church, Cissna Park.
