WILMINGTON -- Thomas A. Lynch, 60, of Wilmington, died Sunday (April 14, 2002) at Rosewood Care Center.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Freitag Funeral Home, Wilmington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday.
Burial will be in Abraham Lincoln National cemetery, Elwood.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
He was born July 8, 1941, in Rincon, Ga., the son of Hubert and Annie Kessler Lynch. His parents are deceased.
Surviving are his wife of 38 years, the former Judith B. Fiehl; one daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Mark Shetina of Wilmington; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Joanne Lynch of Granger, Ind.; four grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, William and Bobbie Lynch of Georgia; one sister and brother-in-law, Grace and Alvin Mock of Georgia; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Mr. Lynch was a former employee of Personal Products of Wilmington and was currently employed with Montgomery Production Inc. of Montgomery.
He was a member of the Wilmington Moose Lodge.
Robert Kane
CULLOM -- A memorial Mass for Robert P. Kane, 72, of Cullom, was celebrated April 10 at St. John's Catholic Church, Cullom. Rev. Thomas Holloway and Msgr. Tom Maloney officiated.
Mr. Kane died April 6, 2002.
Burial, with military honors by the Skinner-Trost American Legion Post 122 of Cullom, was in St. John's cemetery, Cullom. Honorary pallbearers were John Cunningham, Frank Penn, Donald Mylcraine, Bill Ommen, Mark Jehle, Wayne Fecht and Estellee Clifton.
Robert Zeedyk
Services for Robert Zeedyk, 80, of Kankakee, were held April 13 at American Lutheran Church, Kankakee. Rev. Raymond Barclay officiated.
Mr. Zeedyk died April 9, 2002.
Burial was in Danforth cemetery. Pallbearers were Michael Anglin, Robert Gray, Steven and David Van Landuyt, Dean Steeves and Bill Brennan.
Morris Langellier
MILFORD -- Services for Morris R. Langellier, 56, of Milford, were held April 13 at the Knapp Funeral Home, Milford. Rev. Neil Larimore officiated.
Mr. Langellier died April 10, 2002.
Burial was in Maple Grove cemetery, Milford. Pallbearers were Kenneth Matson, Brent Baker, Troy and Ray Langellier, Michael J. Thomas, Gerald and Ronald Langellier and Jeremy Schunke.
Lou Ella Stevens
CISSNA PARK -- Services for Lou Ella A. Stevens, 80, of Cissna Park, were held April 15 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Ash Grove. Rev. Mark Lohnes officiated.
Mrs. Stevens died April 11, 2002.
Burial was in St. John's Lutheran cemetery, Ash Grove. Pallbearers were Danial and Michael Stevens and James and Jess Rieches.
Bertha Smithling
PIPER CITY -- Visitation for Bertha Ann Smithling, 63, of Piper City, will be from 4-9 p.m. Thursday at the Reilly-Redenius Funeral Home, Piper City, and from 1 p.m. Friday until the 2 p.m. services at Living Word Church in Roberts. Rev. Rick Spangler will officiate.
Burial will be in Brenton cemetery, Piper City.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Mrs. Smithling died Monday (April 8, 2002) at her home after a one-year illness.
She was born Jan. 5, 1939, in Pontiac, the daughter of Sylvester Earl and Nellie Pillsbury Tull. Her parents are deceased.
Surviving are her husband, Alfred W. Smithling Jr., whom she married
June 28, 1976, in Indianapolis, Ind.; two sons, Richard Tull and Charles Phinney, both of Piper City; two daughters, Patricia Phinney and Jeannette Rood, both of Piper City; nine stepchildren, Robin, Billy, Debbie, Dena, Timmy, Jeff, Jenny, Chad and Lisa; 37 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Robert Tull of Fairbury, Jerry Tull of Piper City, Roger Tull of Harrisburg, Ill., Patrick Tull of Omaha, Neb.; and one sister, Judy Conaway of Flint, Mich.
One son, David Phinney, is deceased.
Mrs. Smithling had worked as a chef and was also a caregiver to the homeless.
She attended Living Word Church in Roberts.
She enjoyed arts and crafts.
Dorothy Beasley
WILMINGTON -- Dorothy C. Beasley, 84, of Wilmington, died Monday (April 8, 2002) in Carol Stream.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Freitag Funeral Home, Wilmington.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Rose Catholic Church, Wilmington.
Cremation rites will be accorded after Mass.
Inurnment will be in Abraham Lincoln National cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Rose School or to Kuzma Care Cottage.
She was born Aug. 18, 1917, in Minonk, the daughter of August A. and Theresa Feider Girsch.
Her husband, Harrison J. "Harry" Beasley, whom she married
Aug. 18, 1939, at Assumption Catholic Church in Coal City, died in 1992.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Harrison and Beckie Beasley of Houma, La., Harlan and Clare Beasley of Minooka; one daughter and son-in-law, Kandy and Dave Jedlicka of Carol Stream; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
One sister, Agnes Steyer; and one brother, Joseph Girsch, are deceased.
She was a 1935 graduate of Coal City High School.
Mrs. Beasley was past president and member for over 40 years of the Wilmington VFW Ladies Auxiliary and St. Rose Catholic Church.
Lileth Keever
ONARGA -- Visitation for Lileth L. "Dolly" Keever, 94, of Onarga, will be from 4-8 p.m. today at the Onarga Christian Church, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday. David Hamilton and Matthew Johnson will officiate.
Burial will be in Onarga cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Onarga Christian Church Building Fund.
Arrangements are by the Knapp Funeral Home, Onarga.
Mrs. Keever died Monday (April 8, 2002) at the Gilman Nursing Pavilion.
She was born Feb. 22, 1908, in Onarga, the daughter of Frank and Maude Wickizer Looker.
Her husband, Ermon W. Keever, whom she married
April 12, 1941, in Onarga, died in January 1973.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Doris and Perry Price of Onarga; two sons and daughters-in-law, Burt and Lyn Keever of Calumet City, Kenneth Paul and Saundra Keever of Homewood; 19 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
One brother; two sisters; one son; three daughters; and two grandsons, are deceased.
Mrs. Keever was a member of Onarga Christian Church where she taught Sunday School and played the piano for many years.
She was a charter member of the Get Together Club.
Linda McGuire
BRACEVILLE -- Linda P. McGuire, 74, of Braceville, died Tuesday (April 9, 2002) at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center, Joliet.
Visitation will be from noon Friday until the 2 p.m. services at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Homes, Braidwood Chapel. Rev. George Hendricks will officiate.
Burial will be in Mt. Olivet cemetery, Braidwood.
She was born April 20, 1927, in Cleveland, Tenn., the daughter of Earl and Pearl Waters Chambers.
Her first husband, George D. Carver, is deceased.
Surviving are her husband, Warren McGuire, whom she married
May 12, 1947, in Tennessee; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Janet McGuire of Knoxville, Tenn., Terry and Janet McGuire of St. Anne; four daughters and one son-in-law, Rita McGuire of Bourbonnais, Georgia Barnes of Kankakee, Cindy McGuire of Normal, June and Joe Hartsfield of Braidwood; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews; and three special friends.
Five brothers and four sisters are deceased.

SENECA -- Visitation for Ruth Celeste Weikum, 94, of Seneca, formerly of Custer Township, will be from 10 a.m. Saturday until the 11 a.m. services at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Homes, Braidwood Chapel.
Burial will be in the Custer Township cemetery, Custer Park.
Mrs. Weikum died Monday (April 8, 2002) at the Rivershores Nursing Home in Marseilles.
She was born Sept. 12, 1907, in Custer Township, Will County, the daughter of Walter J. and Myrtle Cunning Zilm.
Her husband, Fred J. Weikum, whom she married
Dec. 12, 1923, died in 1988.
Surviving are two daughters and one son-in-law, Joyce Brancato of Berwyn, Winifred and LeRoy Koukol of Seneca; one daughter-in-law, Georgette Weikum of Seneca; one son-in-law, Everett Harmon of Wentworth, Mo.; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two sisters, Lorraine Schaal of Custer Park, Doris Vosecky of Berwyn; one brother and sister-in-law, Junior Walter and Bettie Zilm of Braceville; and nieces and nephews.
Deceased are one daughter, Donna Lee Harmon died in 1985; two sons, M. Dale Weikum in 1990 and Lester F. Weikum in 1991; and two sisters, Charlotte in infancy and Lula Mae Dunn.
Mrs. Weikum enjoyed crocheting, sewing, doing word games and raising vegetables.
Elsie Carmichael
GILMAN -- Services for Elsie Louise Carmichael, 70, of Gilman, were held April 8 at the Redenius Funeral Home, Gilman. Rev. Donald J. MacDonald III officiated.
Mrs. Carmiochael died April 4, 2002.
Burial was in Gilman cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert, Edward, Eugene, William and Clifford Miller and Roger Peters. Honorary pallbearer was Dave Neeland.
