WATSEKA -- Services for Lorene Goldsberry, 84, of Watseka, were held April 6 at Segur-Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka. Rev. Ray Jackson officiated.
Mrs. Goldsberry died April 4, 2002.
Burial was in Prairie Dell cemetery, Iroquois. Pallbearers were Scott Kingdon, Mike Wonch, Bill Stanley, Harold Trueblood, Tom Waters and Tony Rubio.
Anna Branka
MOMENCE -- Anna I. Branka, 81, of Momence, died Wednesday (April 3, 2002) at Momence Meadows Nursing Home.
Visitation will be private.
Services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick Academy Chapel, Momence. Rev. Denis White will officiate.
Burial will be in Calvary cemetery, Steger.
Memorials may be made to the family wishes.

She was born April 15, 1920, in Chicago Heights, the daughter of George and Pearl Jiendrsick Branka.
Surviving are one nephew, Robert and Pam Branka of Momence; one niece, Carol Branka of Chicago; and one great-niece, Brandi Branka of Momence.
Five brothers are deceased.
Miss Branka was a retired factory worker.
She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Momence.
Anne Stienmarch-Prue
Anne Elizabeth Stienmarch-Prue, 83, of Texas, formerly of the Kankakee area, died Monday (April 1, 2002) in Alamo, Texas.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Bradley Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bradley, where she was a member.
Burial will be in Mt. Calvary cemetery, Kankakee.
Memorials may be made to the family.
She was born Oct. 12, 1918, in Kankakee, the daughter of Walter and Margaret Chaplinski Stienmarch.
Her husband, Walter Leslie Prue, whom she married
Dec. 18, 1940, in Davenport, Iowa, died Sept. 9, 1997.
Surviving are two sons, Robert Leslie Prue of Beverly Shores, Ind., James Michael Prue of Milwaukee, Wis.; four daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Robert Mikkelson of Watseka, Nancy and Larry Mason of Phoenix, Ariz., Janice and Dave Gallanis of Milwaukee, Wis., Cathi and Roland Zochert of Portland, Ore.; one sister and brother-in-law, Bernice and Larry Utch of Alamo, Texas; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Four brothers, Frank, Julius, Bernard and Thomas Stienmarch; one sister, Stella Mackolondia; and one daughter-in-law, Beverly Prue, are deceased.
Mrs. Stienmarch-Prue enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting and needlework.
Edgar McGahan
WINDSOR -- Edgar V. McGahan, 73, of Windsor, and the father of a Manteno resident, died Wednesday (April 3, 2002) at his home.
There will be no services.
Burial will be in Windsor cemetery at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the Windsor United Methodist Church Building Fund.
Arrangements are by the Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home, Windsor.
He was born July 23, 1928, south of Charleston, the son of Edgar and Nora Sims McGahan.
Surviving are his wife, the former Patricia Soland, whom he married
July 13, 1947, in Windsor; one son, Edgar McGahan of Manteno; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; three sisters; and one brother.
One son, Michael; and one infant grandson, are deceased.
Mr. McGahan was retired from Schlumberger Well Services.
He was a member of the Windsor United Methodist Church.
Elmer Heldt

GRANT PARK -- Visitation for Elmer H. Heldt, 93, of rural Grant Park, will be from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Hub Funeral Chapel, Grant Park, and from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until the 10:30 a.m. services at St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Grant Park, where he was a member. Rev. Beverly Zell will officiate.
Burial will be in Heusing cemetery, rural Grant Park.
Memorials may be made to St. Peter's United Church of Christ or to Hospice of Kankakee Valley.
Mr. Heldt was a grain and dairy farmer for more than 50 years before retiring. He received the AMPI Dairy Milk Award for being director of the Whitaker School for five years. He was a member of the Kankakee Farm Bureau Board for two years. and Kankakee HIA Board sponsor for Blue Cross/Blue Shield for 30 years.
Mr. Heldt died Wednesday (April 3, 2002).
He was born March 19, 1909, in Washington Township, Beecher, the son of Charles and Pauline Klemme Heldt.
His wife, the former Maxine Hamann, whom he married
Nov. 25, 1933, at the parsonage at St. Peter's United Church of Christ, died March 10, 1994.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Byron and Cheryl Heldt of Kankakee, Norman and Irene Heldt of Grant Park; one daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Dennis Seitz of Beecher; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Four brothers and one sister are deceased.
He was financial secretary for St. Peter's United Church of Christ for six years and rang the church bell for 27 years.

ASHKUM -- Visitation for Ethel R. Bruns, 85, of Ashkum, will be from 4-7 p.m. today at the Knapp Funeral Home, Clifton, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday. Rev. James Gerth will officiate.

Mrs. Bruns died Tuesday (April 2, 2002) at the Merkle-Knipprath Catholic Home, Clifton, after a lengthy illness.
She was born March 4, 1917, in Clifton, the daughter of Sam and Caroline Bull Sorensen.
Her husband, Henry M. Bruns, whom she married
Dec. 19, 1935, in Danforth, died Dec. 19, 2000.
Surviving are three sisters, Vialta Reiniche of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Nora Dominic of Lakeland, Fla., Delores DuCharme of Kankakee; and several nieces and nephews.
Three brothers and one sister are deceaesd.
Mrs. Bruns was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Danforth.

PIPER CITY -- A memorial service for Herbert "Herb" Mosher Bradbury, 87, of Piper City, will be held at noon Sunday at the Presbyterian Church in Piper City, where he was a member. Rev. Jan Miller will officiate.
There will be no visitation.
Private inurnment will be in Brenton cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Mr. Bradbury died Saturday (March 30, 2002) at Sabine County Hospital, Hemphill, Texas, after a sudden illness.
Mr. Bradbury was a farmer all his life. He was a licensed plumber and electrician and owned and operated Bradbury Plumbing and Heating in Piper City. He also was past president of an area fertilizer company.
He was on the Piper City Village Board for many years.s
He was born March 24, 1915, in Roberts, the son of Robert E. and Amy Mosher Bradbury.
His wife, the former Opal Marie Weber, whom he married
Feb. 15, 1941, in Burlington, Iowa, died Nov. 16, 1998.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Carol Bradbury of Piper City, Ronald and Jackie Bradbury of Bonfield; one daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Charlie Kerchenfaut of Piper City; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Dorothy Bradbury of Roberts.
Three brothers, Frank, Robert and Ralph; one sister, Helen Nash; one granddaughter; and one great-grandson, are deceased.
He was a licensed pilot for many years.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Lions Club.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Mr. Hubert died Tuesday (April 2, 2002) at Iroquois Memorial Hospital, Watseka.
He was born May 1, 1938, in Martinton, the son of Leland R. and Cecile L. Langellier Hubert.

Feb. 6, 1982, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Kankakee, of Martinton; one sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and John Lyon of White Bear Lake, Minn.; four nieces and four grand-nieces; and several cousins.
One sister, Cecilia Fisher, is deceased.
Mr. Hubert had been a farmer.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus; the Kankakee Model Railroad Club and the Martinton Lions Club.
He loved traveling, snow skiing, fishing and gardening.

Joyce Hill, 67, of Kankakee, died Wednesday (April 3, 2002) at Riverside Medical Center.

Kathleen Hatfield
CULLOM -- Visitation for Kathleen "Kay" A.E. Hatfield, 83, of Cullom, formerly of Joliet and Plainfield, will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Harris-Martin-Burke Funeral Home, Cullom.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Abraham Lincoln National cemetery, Elwood. Rev. Edward R. Stone will officiate.

Mrs. Hatfield died Tuesday (April 2, 2002) at OSF Saint James Hospital, Pontiac.
She was born Feb. 6, 1919, in London, England, the daughter of Samuel Albert and Amy Elizabeth Sartan Little.
Surviving are her husband, Ralph H. Hatfield, whom she married
May 7, 1946, in Paxton, of Cullom; one son and daughter-in-law, Gerald "Jerry" and Betty Hatfield of Wilmington; one daughter and son-in-law, Geri and Bill Lohnes of Tremont; three grandchildren; two stepgrandsons and two step-great-grandsons.
One infant son, Glen Arthur Hatfield; one brother, Albert Little; and one sister, Margaret Hatfield, are deceased.
Prior to her marriage she drove private hire for her father and also had done factory work in England. She had worked for several years at Admiral Television in Bloomington and served as an election judge in Will County.
Mrs. Hatfield became a naturalized U.S. citizen Nov. 17, 1959.
She was a member of the VFW Post 367 Auxiliary, Joliet, and the Brides of Foreign Wars in Joliet.
She enjoyed playing euchre and bingo.
