James "Pat" Delmore, 74, of Kankakee, died Thursday (April 4, 2002) at Provena St. Mary's Hospital, after a short illness.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Bourbonnais.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.

WATSEKA -- Lorene Goldsberry, 84, of Watseka, died Thursday (April 4, 2002) at her home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Saturday until the 11 a.m. services at Segur-Knapp Funeral Home, Watseka. Rev. Ray Jackson will officiate.
Burial will be in Prairie Dell cemetery, Iroquois.
Memorials may be made to Iroquois Memorial Hospice.
She was born Oct. 12, 1917, in Warren County, Ind., the daughter of Charles W. and Blanche Rains Felix.
Her husband, Herbert O. Goldsberry, whom she married
Feb. 11, 1939, in Pine Village, Ind., died April 12, 1980.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Brodney Sorensen of Watseka; one son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Katherine Goldsberry of Watseka; eight grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; and one stepgrandson.
One brother; one sister; one son; and one stepgrandson, are deceased.
Mrs. Goldsberry enjoyed quilting, crocheting, baking and gardening.

STREATOR -- Lucille C. Batkiewicz, 87, of Streator, and the sister of a Dwight resident, died Wednesday (April 3, 2002) at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Streator.
Visitation will be from 10-11:45 a.m. Saturday at the Solon and Baker Funeral Home, Streator.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at noon Saturday at St. Casimir's Church, Streator. Monsignor Jerome Ham will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Casimir's cemetery.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Francis T. and Judith Batkiewicz of Streator; one son-in-law, James G. Cheli of Ottawa; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Daniel and Joan Masley of Streator, George Masley of Lacon; one sister, Mary Morrissey of Dwight; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Martha Wheeler Murphy, 93, of Kankakee, died today (April 5, 2002) at ManorCare Health Services.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

DONOVAN -- Nellie Elizabeth Tiarks, 90, of the Donovan and Beaverville area, died today (April 5, 2002) at Iroquois Memorial Hospital, Watseka, just a few weeks after celebrating her 90th birthday.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Saturday at Segur-Knapp Funeral Home, Watseka, where private services will be held Sunday.
Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, the Donovan Church of Christ, Iroquois Memorial Hospice or to the donor's choice.
She was born March 3, 1912, in King City, Mo., the daughter of George and Daisy McVay Foster. Her parents are deceased.
Her first husband, Carl Sanders, whom she married
in 1930, died in 1948.
Her second husband, Victor Tiarks, whom she married
Nov. 4, 1951, in Donovan, died Nov. 23, 1992.
Early in her marriage she farmed while Carl served in World War II. She was a school lunch cook and operated a family cafe in Donovan for several years and then worked for many years as postal clerk in Beaverville before retiring in 1979.
She was an excellent quilter and loved outside work and activities.
She was proud of her family and its diversity and always compassionately committed to that family, her community and friends.
Surviving are three daughters and two sons-in-law, Barbara (Sanders) and Warren Jahn of Montrose, Colo., Mary (Sanders) and Donald Noonan of Danforth, Sally (Sanders) Hafstrom of Port Hueneme, Calif.; one son and daughter-in-law, John Roger and Teresa Sanders of Madison, Wis.; 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Four brothers are deceased.
Mrs. Tiarks was a volunteer for Hospice.
She was a member of the Donovan Church of Christ, the Beaverville American Legion Auxiliary and the Iroquois Historical Society.
She loved being and working outside. (Pd.)

CLIFTON -- A Liturgy for Mercedes Hasemeyer, 72, of Clifton, was held March 28 at Maternity BVM Church in Bourbonnais. Rev. John Peeters and Deacon Francis Chamness officiated.
Mrs. Hasemeyer died March 25, 2002.
Burial was in All Saints cemetery. Pallbearers were Jason and Tim Kyrouac, Chey Hasemeyer, Chris Davis, Alan Lowery and Joe Wilson. Honorary pallbearers were John Kar and Jack Gross.

PEOTONE -- A Liturgy for Burton E. Olsen, 76, of Peotone, was held March 29 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Peotone. Rev. Michael Ginter officiated.
Mr. Olsen died March 26, 2002.
Burial was in All Saints cemetery, Bourbonnais. Pallbearers were David Larsen, Ernest Bedell, Ascenzio Fernandez Jr., Todd Bertrand, Larry Olsen and Brandon Olmos.

CRESCENT CITY -- Services for Louis Schuster, 92, of Crescent City, were held March 29 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Crescent City. Rev. Harold Grafe officiated.
Mr. Schuster died March 26, 2002.
Burial was in St. Peter's Lutheran cemetery in Crescent City. Pallbearers were Vern, Kenneth and Norman Brutlag, Joe, Paul and Steve Geisler.

St. ANNE -- Services for Carroll "Fuzz" Eastman, 70, of St. Anne, were held March 28 at the Kankakee Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes.
Mr. Eastman died March 25, 2002.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Martin's Church in Martinton. Rev. Robert Coleman will officiate.
Burial will be in Mount Olivet cemetery in Martinton.

Mr. Arseneau died Friday (March 29, 2002) at Iroquois Memorial Hospital Resident's Home in Watseka.
Mr. Arseneau was a retired grain farmer and a Pioneer Seed Corn representative.
He was born Feb. 26, 1906 in Beaverville, the son of Edward and Adele Regnier Arseneau.
His wife, the former Isabelle Castongia, whom he married
Sept. 14, 1925 at St. Mary's Church in Beaverville, died March 25, 1991.
Surviving are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Romeo Arseneau of Martinton, Evelow and Nancie Arseneau of Crown Point, Ind.; three daughters and two sons-in-law, June and Maynard Hartlep of Watseka, Mae Redman of Hillsboro, N.M., Joyce and Richard Martell of Kankakee; two sisters, Vernall Girod of Kankakee, Verilda Arseneau of Beaverville; 26 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
One daughter, Betty-Jean Lade; two sons-in-law, Murl Lade and William Redman; one daughter-in-law, Iona Arseneau; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Melvin, Howard and Ivan; and one sister, Viola Castongia, are deceased.
He attended St. Martin's Church in Martinton.
He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and visiting with his large family. (Pd.)

Mrs. Hays had been a waitress.
She was a member of the Herscher United Methodist Church.
