Mrs. Lumkes died Feb. 11, 2003.
Burial was in Oakwood cemetery, St. Anne. Pallbearers were Jerald, Rick, John, Matthew, Ronald, Randy and Donald Hoekstra.
Elmer Stump
A funeral Mass for Elmer J. Stump, 81, of Bradley, was celebrated Feb. 17 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley.
Mr. Stump died Feb. 13, 2003.
Pallbearers were James Savoie, Lee Stump, Alex and Matthew Krupski, Jamie Ballou and Josh Stump.
Florence Williams
Services for Florence M. Williams, 98, of Bourbonnais, were held Feb. 17 at the Hertz-Thoma Funeral Chapel. Rev. Herb Thompson officiated.
Mrs. Williams died Feb. 14, 2003.
Burial was in Bloom Grove cemetery in Manteno. Pallbearers were James Moran, Raymond Harshbarger, Dean Haas, Wayne Blanchette, Gerald Rice and Richard Moran.
Esther Fuoss
PIPER CITY -- Services for Esther Fay Fuoss, 88, of Portland, Ore., formerly of Piper City, were held Feb. 17 at the Presbyterian Church in Piper City. Rev. Isabelle Davis officiated.
Mrs. Fuoss died Feb. 13, 2003.
Burial was in Brenton cemetery, Piper City. Pallbearers were David Gibb, Keith Henrichs, Jim Johnson, Robert King, Al Smith and Mike Van Antwerp.
Deanna Larsen
A funeral Mass for Deanna MacDonald Larsen, 43, of Bourbonnais, was celebrated Feb. 17 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley. Revs. John Antczak and Charles Wheeler and Deacon Leon Fritz officiated.
Ms. Larsen died Feb. 12, 2003.
Pallbearers were Mark Bernicky, Alan Moore, Mike Ely, Jeff Marshall, John Grebe, Brandon Vaughn and Greg Stefanski.
Geraldine Benoit
ST. GEORGE -- A funeral Mass for Geraldine Theresa Benoit, 75, a lifelong resident of St. George, was celebrated Feb. 17 at St. George Catholic Church. Rev. Kenneth Yarno officiated.
Mrs. Benoit died Feb. 13, 2003.
Burial was in St. George cemetery. Pallbearers were Bruce and Kevin Yonke, Eddie Benoit, Dennis Martin, Bill Benoit and David Ruder.
Orville Estill
A funeral Mass for Orville S. Estill, 83, of Bradley, was celebrated Feb. 15 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley. Rev. John Antczak and Deacon Andy Berg officiated.
Mr. Estill died Feb. 11, 2003.
Burial was in Mt. Calvary cemetery in Kankakee. Pallbearers were Doug, Margaret, Jane and Jeff Glenzinski and Sean and Nicole Estill.
Gilbert Schroeder

PEOTONE -- Visitation for Gilbert F. Schroeder, 80, of rural Peotone, will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Fedde-Helfrich Chapel, Peotone, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday. Rev. Clarence Bangs will officiate.
Burial will be in Skyline Memorial Park, Monee. Pallbearers will be Bill Meyer, Orville and Russell Mueller, Melvin Meyer, Ron Schroeder, Delmer Mueller, Ken Schroeder and Douglas Wilke.
Memorials may be made to the Anchorage of Beecher Activity Fund or to Immanuel United Church of Christ in Peotone, where he was a member.
He died Monday (Feb. 17, 2003) at the Anchorage of Beecher.
Mr. Schroeder was a retired farmer.
He was born Oct. 17, 1922, in Peotone, the son of William A. and Anna M. Wiggenhauser Schroeder.
Surviving are one brother and sister-in-law, Wilbur and Blanche Schroeder of Lansing; one sister and brother-in-law, Olga and Russell Wilke of Kingston, Canada; two sisters-in-law, Eloise Schroeder of Peotone and Dorothy Schroeder of Grover City, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
Three brothers, Paul, Elmer and Rudolf Schroeder; and two sisters, Helen Schroeder and Lillian Mueller, are deceased.

Patricia Liddell Walker, 38, of Milwaukee, Wis., and a former area resident, died Monday (Feb. 17, 2003).

William Wyss
DANFORTH -- William H. Wyss Jr., 80, of rural Danforth, died Tuesday (Feb. 18, 2003) at Prairieview Lutheran Home in Danforth, after a short illness.

Nora Wilson
SHELDON -- Nora Wilson, 93, of Seneca, S.C., formerly of Sheldon, died Friday (Feb. 14, 2003) at her home.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Sheldon cemetery. Rev. Karen Martin will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
Arrangements are by the Knapp Funeral Home in Sheldon.
She was born Sept. 9, 1909, in Sheldon, the daughter of Frederick and Hannah Applegate Williamson.
Her husband, Hustler Wilson, whom she married
April 1, 1932, in Galesburg, died Nov. 3, 1978.
Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Gloria Wilson of Laporte, Colo., Charles and Carolyn Wilson of Millersville, Md., Fred and Darlene Wilson of Rockford; one daughter, Marguerite Johnson of Seneca, S.C.; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
One brother, Garrett Williamson, is deceased.
She was a member of the Methodist church and enjoyed traveling.
Leonie Ruder
MANTENO -- Visitation for Leonie R. Ruder, 83, of Manteno, will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, with a 7 p.m. wake service at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Manteno.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Manteno, where she was a member.
Entombment will be in Mt. Calvary Mausoleum in Kankakee.
Memorials may be made to her church or to Bishop McNamara High School.
Mrs. Ruder died Tuesday (Feb. 18, 2003) at Provena St. Mary's Hospital in Kankakee.
She was born April 9, 1919, in Kankakee, the daughter of Olier "Harry" and Eugenie Kempen Crevier. Her parents are deceased.
Her first husband James G. Ruder was killed in World War II at the Battle of the Bulge.
She then married
his brother, A. Vernon Ruder Oct. 27, 1946 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Kankakee.
Surviving, besides her husband of Manteno, are four sons and daughters-in-law, James and Suzy Ruder of Kankakee, Rodney and Rita Ruder of Normal, William and Mary Ruder of Manteno, Theodore and Karen Ruder of Middletown, Conn.; one daughter and son-in-law, MaryLee and Joe Greco of Algonquin; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Cecelia and Gene Seamark of Kankakee, Sylvia Sippel of Bourbonnais; 10 grandsons, Romney and Amy Ruder, Ryan and Rasa Ruder, Ross Ruder, Matt and Jennelle Ruder, Chris Ruder, Adam Ruder, Andrew Ruder, Joe Greco Jr., Jake Ruder and Todd Ruder; three granddaughters, Megan and Mike Roche, Gina Greco and Molly Ruder; and three great-grandchildren, Randa Ruder, Jacob Ruder and Gabriel Ruder.
One brother, Lester Crevier; and one sister, Madelyn Griffis, are deceased.
Mrs. Ruder was a member of Provena St. Mary's Auxiliary, St. Joseph Catholic Church Council of Catholic Women and the St. Anne Sodality.
She enjoyed playing golf and bridge.
Nelrose Pence
Visitation for Nelrose Pence, 77, of Kankakee, will be from 4-8 p.m. today at the Bradley Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday. Rev. Craig Sweet will officiate.
Burial will be in Mount Hope cemetery in Cabery.

Mrs. Pence died Sunday (Feb. 16, 2003) at ManorCare Nursing Home.
She was born Dec. 1, 1925, in Kempton, the daughter of Clarence and Matie Blank Turner.
Her husband, Lloyd Pence, whom she married
July 8, 1950 in Pontiac, is deceased.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Doug and Debbie Pence of Louisville, Ky., Terry and Sharlyn Pence of Bradley; one daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Darell Westfall of Clifton; one sister, Nedra Tatro of Chebanse; one brother, Robert Turner of Kankakee; seven grandchildren, Shannon, Aron, Logan, Brock and Kolton Pence, Heather Fox and Becka LaLonde; four great-grandchildren, Tanner, Alana Rose, Andrew and Zach; and one sister-in-law, Kate Turner.
One brother, Kenneth Turner, is deceased.
She was a member of the Methodist faith.
She loved taking care of her family and enjoyed her ceramics and her doll collection.
Wilford Little

FOREST PARK -- Wilford Little, 87, of Forest Park, and the father of a Kankakee resident, died Saturday (Feb. 15, 2003) at The Pavillion of Forest Park, where he resided.
There will be no visitation or services.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Arrangements are by Lax Mortuary in Kankakee.
Mr. Little was a self-employed contractor.
He was born May 11, 1915, in Niagara Falls, N.Y.
His wife, Edith Little, is deceased.
Surviving are three sons and two daughters-in-law, Michael Morris of South Bend, Ind., Wayne and Joanne Morris of Oak Park, David and Sarah Morris of Kankakee; and five grandchildren.
One daughter, Kay Morris, is deceased.
Mary Huml
BRAIDWOOD -- Mary Angeline Huml, 89, of Braidwood, died Tuesday (Feb. 18, 2003) at Morris Hospital.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Homes, Braidwood Chapel.
Funeral services will be held from the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Saturday to the Immaculate Conception Church in Braidwood for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Rev. Steve Bondi officiating.
Interment will be in the Braceville-Gardner cemetery in Braceville.
Memorials in her name to the Braidwood Ambulance Fund, the Braceville-Gardner cemetery or to a fund of the donor's choice would be greatly appreciated.
Mrs. Huml was a local teacher for over 30 years mostly in Braidwood schools. She initiated the Children's Early Development Reading Program at several elementary schools.
She was born March 12, 1913, in Braidwood, the daughter of Peter and Effie Vaira Donna. Her parents are deceased.
Her husband, Frank Huml, whom she married
Oct. 16, 1937, in Braidwood, died Dec. 14, 2001.
Surviving are three sisters and one brother-in-law, Connie and Bruno Muzzarelli of Coal City, Elaine Testa of South Wilmington, Dolores Kusper of Huntington Beach, Calif.; one sister-in-law, Marion Henderson of Paxton; three nieces and one nephew, Lynn (Scott) Allison of Braidwood, Roberta (Larry ) Pilcher of Paxton and Judy (Larry) Smith of Canton, Mich., and Richard (Jeanette) Kusper of Newport Beach, Calif.; and two special great-nephews, Sean (Dawn, David) Allison of Braidwood and Shane Allison of Palmdale, Calif.
One brother, Vincent Donna; and one sister, Josephine Barnett, are deceased.
She was a graduate of Reed Custer High School in Braidwood and Illinois State University in Normal.
Mrs. Huml was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Braidwood and the Will and Grundy County Teachers Associations.
She enjoyed traveling extensively, golfing, fishing and current educational programs.
