PONTIAC -- Lyle B. Cushing, 86, of Pontiac, and the husband of a former Dwight resident, died Wednesday (Feb. 19, 2003) at the ASTA Care Center in Pontiac.
Cremation rites were accorded.
An inurnment service will be held at a later date. Rev. Mike Hillyer will officiate.
Burial will be in Southside cemetery, Pontiac.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
Duffy Funeral Home, Pontiac, is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Cushing was a chef at several restaurants and was a distributor for the 7-UP Company for many years.
He was born June 16, 1916, in LeRoy, the son of Miner and Lillian Barnhart Cushing.
Surviving are his wife, the former Mabel Thomas, whom he married
March 30, 1947, in Dwight, of Pontiac; one brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Lorraine Cushing of Port St. Charlotte, Fla.; and one sister, Helen Ortman of Grosse Point, Mich.
One brother, George, is deceased.
He attended schools in Pontiac and the University of Illinois.
Mr. Cushing served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge, the Veteran of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
Dora Ellis
PAXTON -- Dora M. Ellis, 98, of Paxton, formerly of Cissna Park, died Tuesday (Feb. 18, 2003) at Asta Care Center in Paxton, where she had been a resident since October 1991.
Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. Friday until the 1:30 p.m. services at the Ford-Baier Funeral Home in Paxton. Rev. Terry Strom will officiate.
Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran cemetery, Cissna Park.
Surviving are two daughters and one son-in-law, Lois and William Olive of Glenview, Beverly Nuss of Paxton; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Sandra Girot
MARSEILLES -- Sandra L. Girot, 63, of Marseilles, and the daughter of a Coal City resident, died Thursday (Feb. 13, 2003) at her home.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Feb. 17 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marseilles, where she was a member. Rev. Bo Schmitt officiated.
Burial was in Riverview cemetery in Marseilles. Pallbearers were Don Townsend, Dan Kendall, Billy Schank, George Youngling, Joseph Bruno and Jim Smolik.
Mrs. Girot retired in 2001 from Rivershores Center in Marseilles.
She was born Dec. 18, 1939, in Joliet, the daughter of Paul "Chick" and Elsie "Dollie" Smith Cairns.
Her husband, Joseph G. Girot, whom she married
in 1959, died in 1996.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Joey and Debbie Girot and Steve and Robyn Girot, all of Marseilles; three grandchildren; her mother of Coal City; one sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Don Babjak of Braidwood; and one brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Carol Cairns of Goose Lake.
Her father, and her mother-in-law, Mary Girot Woodin, are deceased.

PEOTONE -- Delores L. Gollnick, 75, of Peotone, died Wednesday (Feb. 19, 2003) at Bradley Royale Healthcare Center.
Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. at the Fedde-Helfrich Chapel in Peotone.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Peotone, where she was a member. Rev. Michael Ginter will officiate.
Burial will be in Skyline Memorial Park in Monee.

Miss Gollnick was a retired personnel director for Goldblatt's.
She was born Sept. 24, 1947, in Chicago, the daughter of Arnold and Kate Lenz Gollnick.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Wilbur Burton of Manteno; two granddaughters; two nephews, Kevin and Kenneth Gollnick; and special friends, Sister Norma Giannini and Audrey Pacella, both of Oak Lawn.
One brother, Fred A. Gollnick, is deceased.
She was a member of the Royal Neighbors.

CISSNA PARK -- Visitation for Elaine M. Jacob, 72, of Cissna Park, will be from 4-8 p.m. today at the Knapp Funeral Home in Cissna Park, and from 10 a.m. Friday until the 11 a.m. services at St. John's Lutheran Church-AshGrove, where she was a member. Rev. Mark Lohnes will officiate.
Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran cemetery, Ash Grove.

She died Tuesday (Feb. 18, 2003) at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
She was born Sept. 11, 1930, in Artesia Township, the daughter of Fred and Bertha Seggebruch Cluver.

Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Les Houk of Bloomington; one son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Laurie Jacob of Seymour; three grandchildren; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Evelyn and Jack Morton and Vivian Yergler, all of Cissna Park; and one brother, Delwood Cluver of Cissna Park.
One sister, Lois Knapp, is deceased.
She was a member of St. John's Ladies Aid and the Cissna Park American Legion Auxiliary. She had sung in the church choir for many years.

SAUNEMIN -- Keith P. Klepp, 87, of Verona, and the father of a Saunemin resident, died Tuesday (Feb. 18, 2003) at Morris Hospital.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Seals-Campbell Funeral Home, Marseilles, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday. Rev. Barb Gotschall will officiate.
Burial will be in Riverview cemetery in Marseilles.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth A. and Glenna Klepp of Saunemin.

DWIGHT -- Hazel Mae Kline, 94, of Shawano, Wis., formerly of Dwight, died Tuesday (Feb. 18, 2003) at Evergreen Healthcare in Shawano.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Friday until the 1 p.m. services at Hager Memorial Home in Dwight. Rev. Stephen Lauricella will officiate.
Burial will be in Oak Lawn cemetery, Dwight.

Mrs. Kline retired from Owens Glass in Streator after 20 years of service.
She was born May 1, 1908, in Minonk, the daughter of Philip and Rose Schudder.

Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Doris and Bill Steichen of Shawano, Wis.; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Four brothers and one sister are deceased.
Mrs. Kline was a member of the Lutheran church.
She loved to crochet and made many afghans.

Doris M. Liesenfelt, 85, of Kankakee, died Wednesday (Feb. 19, 2003) at Riverside Medical Center.
There will be no visitation and services will be private.
Burial will be in Cedar Park cemetery, Calumet Park.
Kankakee Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Liesenfelt was a homemaker.
She was born April 11, 1917, in LaGrange, the daughter of Fredrick H. and Minnette Stille Smith. Her parents are deceased.
Her husband, Mathew V. Liesenfelt, whom she married
May 3, 1941, in Chicago Heights, died in 1985.
Surviving are two daughters and one son-in-law, Diana and Joe Vits of Kankakee, Joan Liesenfelt of Denver, Colo.; three grandchildren, Lynn Ross of Denver, Colo., Jennifer Vits of Kankakee, Susan and Stephen Cornett of Bourbonnais; and four great-grandchildren, Joshua Vits, Zachary Cornett and Kayla and Megan Michel.
One brother, J. Wallace Smith; and one sister, Lois St. Pierre, are deceased.
Mrs. Liesenfelt was a member of the Presbyterian faith.
She enjoyed sewing and gardening.

He died Tuesday (Feb. 18, 2003) at Prairieview Lutheran Home in Danforth, after a short illness.
Mr. Wyss was a farmer and, along with his wife, operated Wyss Country Store for 25 years. He also was a partner in several sale barns and a livestock dealer.
He was born May 12, 1922, in Pekin, the son of William H. Sr. and Mary Moser Wyss. His parents are deceased.
His wife, the former Mae M. Stemke, whom he married
Jan. 12, 1944, in Danforth, died July 26, 1994.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Barbara Wyss of Lawrence, Kan.; three daughters and one son-in-law, Carol and William Conrad of Clifton, Gayle Wyss of Gilman, Lisa Kay Wyss of Cissna Park; one sister, Maryann Fanning of Milford; one brother, Robert Wyss of Paxton; three sisters-in-law, Sandy Wyss and Wilma Wyss, both of Cissna Park, Peg Wyss of Lady Lake, Fla.; seven grandsons, Jon and Beth Conrad of McKinney, Texas, Jeff Conrad of Bourbonnais, Ted Wyss of Houston, Texas, Steve and Tammy Wyss of Denver, Colo., Adam Wyss of Lawrence, Kan., Brent and Nick Saathoff of Gilman; and two great-granddaughters, Emma Conrad of McKinney, Texas and Emma Wyss of Denver, Colo.
Three brothers, Don, Jack and Gerald, are deceased.
He was an active supporter of Iroquois County 4-H clubs and the 4-H fair.
He was a true salesman and enjoyed the art of the deal. He loved visiting with family and friends and enjoyed trips to Hawaii and Las Vegas, playing cards and fishing.

MOMENCE -- Lillian Ashline, 85, of Momence, formerly of Bradley, died Saturday (Feb. 15, 2003) in Momence.

Mrs. Ashline was born June 1, 1917 in Kankakee, the daughter of Herman and Margaret Gigl Brueggert.
