WATSEKA - Visitation for Ellen L. Lade, 65, of Watseka, will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the Segur-Knapp Funeral Home, Watseka.
Private graveside services will be held in Liberty cemetery, Iroquois.

Mrs. Lade died Tuesday (March 12, 2002) at Northwestern Hospital, Chicago.
She was born Oct. 5, 1936, in Donovan, the daughter of Roy W. and Zelda Ferry Fry.
Surviving are her husband, Leo Lade, whom she married
May 29, 1954, in Sheldon, of Watseka; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Duane Lade of Iroquois, Roy and Denise Lade of Fowler, Ind., Leo Jr. and Lena Lade of Sheldon; one daughter, Joy Moreland of Watseka; one brother, Ronald Fry of Iroquois; two sisters, Jane King of Sheldon, Carol Disosway of Monticello, Ind.; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild and two stepgrandchildren.
One son, Tommy, is deceased.
She was a graduate of Donovan High School.
Mrs. Lade enjoyed cooking.
Florence Lorene Orr
DANFORTH - Florence Lorene Orr, 95, of Prairieview Lutheran Home, Danforth, formerly of Gilman, died Tuesday (March 12, 2002).
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Thursday until the 11 a.m. services at the United Methodist Church, Gilman. Rev. Gary Fairchild will officiate.
Burial will be in the Gilman cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church, Gilman, where she was a member.
Redenius Funeral Home, Gilman, is in charge of arrangements.
She was born Dec. 14, 1906, in Boswell, Ind., the daughter of Dorrie and Emma Anderson Kelley.
Her husband, W.D. Orr, whom she married
Aug. 27, 1930, in Lowell, Ind., died Oct. 20, 1994.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Warren and Ruth Orr of Gilman; two grandchildren, Brad and Lori Orr of Gilman and Karen Oldridge of Danforth; and four great-grandchildren.
One brother, Lester Kelley, is deceased.
She was a graduate of Boswell High School, Boswell, Ind., and attended Purdue University.
Mrs. Orr had been a bookkeeper.
She was a member of the Eastern Star, a lifetime member of Iroquois Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and the Mary Martha Circle.
Genevieve F. Tompkins
PEOTONE - Genevieve F. Tompkins, 88, of Peotone, died Tuesday (March 12, 2002) at ManorCare Health Services, Kankakee.
Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Thursday at the Fedde-Helfrich Chapel, Peotone.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, where she was a member. Rev. Michael Ginter will officiate.
Burial will be in Assumption cemetery, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church.
She was born July 15, 1913, in Chicago, the daughter of John and Felicia Zentera.
Her husband, Hiram D. Tompkins, died in 1959.
Surviving are three daughters, Alberta Overocker of Monee, Eileen Cummins of Apple Valley, Calif., Jeannie Scheiman of Peotone; one son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Judy Tompkins of Peotone; 14 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
One daughter, Linnie Harris, died in 1997.
Mrs. Tompkins was a former restaurant cook.

Irene Tanner, 88, of Kankakee, died Tuesday (March 12, 2002) at Miller Healthcare Center.
Arrangements are pending at the Hertz-Thoma Funeral Chapel, Kankakee.
Jennetta I. Kincade
ONARGA - Visitation for Jennetta I. Kincade, 91, of Onarga, will be from 11 a.m. Thursday until the 1 p.m. services at the Knapp Funeral Home, Onarga. Ralph Wise will officiate.
Burial will be in the Onarga cemetery.

Mrs. Kincade died Sunday (March 10, 2002) at Iroquois Memorial Hospital, Watseka.
Mrs. Kincade had been the secretary for the family business, Kincade Trucking.
She was born Aug. 5, 1910, in Hopkins, Minn., the daughter of John and Ione Michela.
Her husband, Harold Kincade, whom she married
in Albion, died March 3, 1986.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Gene and Gerrie Hastings of Lac Du Flambeau, Wis., Butch and Ann Kincade of Houston, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Marcell and Bill Maltman of Onarga; 12 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
One brother; one sister; and one daughter, Jerry Corvillian, are deceased.
She enjoyed watching soaps and had a passion for wrestling.

CHATSWORTH - Visitation for Lillian Galle Cavanagh, 92, of ASTA Care Center, Pontiac, formerly of Chatsworth, will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, with a 4:45 p.m. rosary service at the Hager Memorial Home, Chatsworth.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Chatsworth. Rev. Richard Brunskill will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Patrick cemetery, Chatsworth.

Mrs. Cavanagh died Monday (March 11, 2002) at ASTA Care Center.
She was born April 30, 1909, in Fairbury, the daughter of Jacob and Lydia Huber Galle.
Her husband, Emmett Cavanagh, whom she married
Feb. 24, 1930, in Chicago, died April 15, 1983.
Surviving are one daughter, Ellen (Verle) Lawless-Saxton of Gold Canyon, Ariz.; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Daniel and Katie Cavanagh of Chatsworth, Michael Cavanagh of Chicago; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and two nieces.
One brother and one sister are deceased.
She was a graduate of Fairbury High School.
Mrs. Cavanagh was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society, the Chatsworth American Legion Auxiliary and the Germanville Community Club.

MELVIN - Lyle A. Brucker, 82, of Flint, Mich., formerly of Melvin, and the brother of a Cullom resident, died Saturday (March 2, 2002) at McLaren Regional Medical Center.
Services were held March 5 at Emanuel Lutheran Church, Flint, where he was a member.
Burial was in Flint Memorial Park.
Mr. Brucker was a carpenter.
He was born Jan. 12, 1920, in Sibley, the son of Albert and Anna Brucker.
His wife, the former Georgiana Horneber, whom he married
July 31, 1943, is deceased.
Surviving are one son, Richard A. (Jenny) Brucker of Boulder, Colo.; three daughters, Lynne (Dennis) Sass of San Diego, Calif., Julie (Jeff) Ekberg of Berthoud, Colo., Dawn Brucker of Flint and her fiance, Glen Thompson of Davisburg, Mich.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and one brother, Robert (Arlene) Brucker of Cullom.
One brother, Gene Brucker, is deceased.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran.

MANTENO - Morris R. Albrecht, 75, of Manteno, died Tuesday (March 12, 2002) at Riverside Medical Center, Kankakee.
Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. Thursday at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Manteno, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Memorials may be made to Risen Savior Lutheran Church or to the American Heart Association.
Mr. Albrecht was a retired superintendent of public works for the village of Dolton after 40 years of service.
He was born Dec. 23, 1926, in Dolton, the son of Walter and Lillian Grapentein Albrecht.
Surviving are his wife, the former Jean A. Schultz, whom he married
Feb. 16, 1952, in Dolton; one son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Mary Albrecht of Schaumburg; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Bonnie Albrecht of Peotone, Donna and Donald Cuthbert of New Lenox, Gail and Kevin Iwinski of Griffith, Ind.; one sister, Pat Rigoni of Valparaiso, Ind.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronald and Dolores Albrecht of Morocco, Ind., Wayne and Arlene Albrecht of Dolton; and eight grandchildren.
He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during World War II.
He was a member of Risen Savior Lutheran Church and the Manteno American Legion.
He enjoyed fishing, golfing, woodcarving and spending summers at his lake house in Indiana.

Mrs. Lewis owned and operated her own beauty salon in Chicago for many years.
Mrs. Lewis died Sunday (March 10, 2002) at Lehigh Medical Center, Lehigh Acres.
She was born Nov. 10, 1912, in Ashkum, the daughter of Thomas and Margaret Ryan Wallace.
Her husband, Evan R. Lewis, whom she married
March 18, 1972 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Clifton, died Aug. 16, 2000.
One nephew, Byron and Kay Wallace of Lehigh Acres, Fla. survives.
She was a member of the Catholic Church.
