MILFORD - Visitation for Olin L. Looker, 71, of Milford, will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Knapp Funeral Home in Milford, where services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Burial will be in Maple Grove cemetery, Milford.

Mr. Looker died Friday (March 1, 2002) at home.
He was born Oct. 1, 1930 in Watseka, the son of Olin E. and Anna M. Gibson Looker. His parents are deceased.
Surviving are his wife, the former Carolyn Brewer, whom he married
June 26, 1955 in Milford; three daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Bill Langellier of Milford, Gayle and Mark Seals of Ithaca, Mich., Jill and Wayne Buhler of Clayton, N.C.; one son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Pam Looker of Sidney, Ohio; his twin brother and sister-in-law, Ivan and Verna Looker of Watseka; a special "adopted" daughter, Mahelet and Joseph Senbetta of Carol Stream; 10 grandchildren; one aunt; two nieces and nephews; and one brother-in-law, Wayne Albert of Big Pine Key, Fla.
One brother, Ernest; one sister, Marie; and one son, James, are deceased.
Mr. Looker was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army Artillery.
Martha Turner
Martha A. Turner, 83, of Kankakee, died Saturday (March 2, 2002) at her home.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hertz-Thoma Chapel, where services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Rev. Steven Friese will officiate.
Burial will be in Kan-kakee Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
Mrs. Turner was born April 19, 1918 in Wellington, the daughter of Dale and Alice Fields Endsley.
Surviving are her husband, Robert Turner, whom she married
Sept. 25, 1937 in Crown Point, Ind., of Kankakee; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert D. and Darlene Turner of St. Anne, James M. and Ann Turner of Kankakee; one daughter, Mary Keener of Kankakee; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.
One stepbrother; one stepsister; and one son-in-law, James Keener, are deceased.
Mrs. Turner enjoyed gardening, collecting dolls and feeding wild birds.
Johnsie Hawkins
MARION - Services for Johnsie M. Hawkins, 74, of Marion, formerly of Kankakee, were held today at Clancy Gernon Funeral Home, Kankakee.
Burial was in Kankakee Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Hawkins died Thursday (Feb. 28, 2002) at Marion Memorial Hospital.
She was born March 19, 1927 in York, S.C., the daughter of John and Mary Rose Donnelly. Her parents are deceased.
Her husband, Ambers "Curly" Hawkins, whom she married
Jan. 17, 1944, died Oct. 11, 1984.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Gary Knorr of Marion; one sister, Teretha Spencer of Pillion, S.C.; two grandchildren, Brian Knorr of Marion, Kimberly and Paul Longtin of Kankakee; and two great-grandchildren, Ryan Hoffinditz, and Jaiden Longtin.
One daughter, Brenda Kay; and one grandson, Kevin; four brothers; and two sisters, are deceased.
Mrs. Hawkins was a retired supervisor and last employee of Bear Brand Hosiery Co.
She was a member of Peoples Church and enjoyed music.
Gloria Jacot
BREVARD, N.C. -- Gloria M. Jacot, 73, of Brevard, N.C., formerly of Sheldon, died Friday (March 1, 2002) at Translyvania Community Hospital.
Arrangements are being handled by the Moore Funeral Home in Brevard and by the Knapp Funeral home in Milford.
Interment will be in Sugar Creek cemetery at Stockland at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, to the Salvation Army or to the Animal Lighthouse.
Mrs. Jacot was born March 3, 1928, the daughter of Medwin and Goldie Johnson Warrick.
She married
Charles Jacot in Sheldon Feb. 5, 1950. He survives, along with one sister, Norma Schaumburg, of Milford.
She was the 1946 valedictorian of Sheldon High School and attended Stephens College in Columbia, Mo., and Indiana University.
Gertrude Lamie
WATSEKA - Gertrude I. Lamie, 87, of Watseka, died Saturday (March 2, 2002) at Iroquois Resident Home in Watseka.
Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. Friday until the 1:30 p.m. service at First Presbyterian Church in Watseka. Rev. Frank Fisher will officiate.
Burial will be in Iroquois Memorial Park in Watseka.
Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Iroquois Resident Home, or to the donor's choice.
Arrangements are by Segur-Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka.
Mrs. Lamie was born May 18, 1914 in Grant, Fla., the daughter of Frederick and Mary Koester Wengert.
Her husband, Melvin Lamie, whom she married
Dec. 31, 1962 in Crescent City, died in September 1987.
Surviving are one brother, William Wengert of Groveland, Calif.; and two sisters, Martha Lottinville of Hoopeston, and Edith Sieling of Naples, Fla.
One brother; and one son are deceased.
Mrs. Lamie was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Watseka.
She was employed at Western Condensor and TRW for over 25 years.
Elnora Whitlow
Elnora Whitlow, 79, of Kankakee, died Saturday (March 2, 2002) at Oakwood Annapolis Hospital in Wayne, Mich.
Arrangements are pending at Jones Funeral Home.
Donald Pement
37-year Ford employee
PARK FOREST - Donald Lee Pement, 67, of Park Forest, father of Manteno residents, died Saturday (March 2, 2002).
Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. Tuesday at Brown Funeral Home in Manteno, where services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Elder Marvin Jones will officiate.
Burial will be in Deselm cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the family's wishes.
Mr. Pement retired after 37 years from Ford Motor Company Stamping Plant in Ford Heights.
Mr. Pement was born Sept. 28, 1934 in Deselm, the son of Harold and Mable Shreffler Pement.
Surviving are his wife, the former Sharon Burton, whom he married
Feb. 2, 1957 in Deselm, of Park Forest; one son, Donald John Pement and fiancee, Linda Kruzel of Monee; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Karen Cooper of Park Forest, Patricia and Robert Sandling, Jacqueline and Paul Latimer, all of Manteno, Kimberly and Woody Roeske of South Chicago Heights; one sister-in-law, Kathy and Bob Buckman of Bonfield; two brothers-in-law, James Burton of Bourbonnais, John Burton of Utah; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; one aunt; one cousin; and several nieces and nephews.
Two brothers-in-law, Chuck Howard and Harold Buckman, are deceased.
He was a member of Community of Christ Church in Bourbonnais.
He was a member of Sauk Village Moose, and was a collector of model cars, Ford models and knives.
Anna Potts
COAL CITY - Anna Potts, 88, of Coal City, died Friday (March 1, 2002) at Morris Hospital.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Reeves Funeral Home in Coal City and from 9 a.m. Wednesday until the 10 a.m. service at New Hope Presbyterian Church in Coal City. Rev. Richard Johnson will officiate.
Burial will be in Braceville-Gardner cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dennis Best, Chris and Russell Potts, Paul Nelson, Ted Smith and Louis Ruffatti.
Memorials may be made to New Hope Church or to Trinity Services Capital Campaign.
Mrs. Potts was born March 13, 1913 in Coal City, the daughter of Battista and Agnes Truffa.
Her husband, Harold Potts, whom she married
May 18, 1935 in Morris, died in 1982.
Surviving are her children, Richard and Toni Potts of Mesa, Ariz., David and Charlene Potts of Morris, Kathy and Robert Plott of Union, Ky.; and two grandchildren.
Two sisters, Kathryn Potts and Lucille Jackson, are deceased.
Mrs. Potts was employed as a cook with the Coal City school district for many years.
She was an active member of New Hope Presbyterian Church in Coal City, and a member of the Coal City Senior Citizens Club.
Silas Metcalf
WAUKEGAN - Silas Lee Metcalf, 83, of Waukegan, formerly of Momence, died Saturday (March 2, 2002) at Terrace Nursing Home.
Private services were held March 5 at Peterson Funeral Home in Waukegan.
He worked for Johnson Motors and Outboard Marine Corporation of Waukegan for 42 years. He led the development of the V-4, V-6 and V-8 outboard engines as well as Wankel Rotary engine applications, retiring in 1983 as an officer of Outboard Marine Corporation and vice president of marine engineering and research.
Mr. Metcalf was born July 14, 1918 in Forsythe, Mont., the son of Neil and Florence Snapp Metcalf.
Surviving are his wife, the former Charlotte Louise Fuller, whom he married
April 14, 1945 of Waukegan; two stepsons, John and Lee; three grandchildren, Lisa Wogan of Momence, Laci Pogue of Gurnee, and Skye Metcalf of Gurnee; and six great-grandchildren.
One brother, Paul Metcalf; one sister, Betty; and one grandchild, Michael Metcalf, are deceased.
Mr. Metcalf had worked at the Garden of Eden golf course and the Momence brickyard.
He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy on a design team responsible for a firefighting pump and small engine used to pre-heat bomber engines.
Leo LeClaire
Visitation for Leo A. "Doc" LeClaire, 88, of Kankakee, will be from 3-7 p.m. Friday, with a 4 p.m. wake service at the Senesac Kankakee Funeral Home.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
Burial, with military rites by the St. George American Legion Post, will be in St. George cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the new building fund for St. George Catholic Church.
Mr. LeClaire died Sunday (March 3, 2002) at Miller Center.
Mr. LeClaire and his wife owned and operated the General Store in St. George for 35 years, retiring in 1977. He also drove a school bus in St. George for many years.
He was born Aug. 13, 1913, in St. George, the son of Nazaire and Lucy Ruel LeClaire.
His wife, the former Margaret L. "Bobby" Banks, whom he married
Nov. 26, 1942, in Alexandria, La., died Dec. 18, 1992.
Surviving are three sons and one daughter-in-law, Stephen and Kay LeClaire of Bedford, Texas, Michael LeClaire of Los Angeles, Calif., Gary LeClaire of Kankakee; two daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and James Homan of Kankakee, Dorothy and Phillip White of Richmond, Melbourne, Australia; one sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Bob Shafer of Momence; four grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.
One grandson, Jason Homan; four brothers, Hector, Paul, Homer and Henry LeClaire; and four sisters, Alma Tramblay, Cecile, Antionette and Marie LeClaire, are deceased.
He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during World War II in the European Theater of Operations. He was a member of the St. George American Legion Post.
He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and the Bradley Euchre Club. He was a former member of the St. George Holy Name Society.
