H. Joan Linton, 72, of Monticello, Ind., formerly of Kankakee, died Friday (Feb. 21, 2003) at Monticello Healthcare Center.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Hertz-Thoma Funeral Chapel. Rev. John Antczak will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the family.
She was born Sept. 3, 1930, in Chicago, the daughter of Joseph and Marilyn Pride Graser.
Her husband, Kenneth M. Linton, whom she married
April 9, 1954, in Shelbyville, Tenn., is deceased.
Surviving are one grandson, Michael Linton of Monon, Ind.; one sister and brother-in-law, Rosemary and Bill Malory of Las Vegas, Nev.; and one brother and sister-in-law, David and Lisa Graser of New Orleans, La.
One son, Michael Linton, is deceased.
She was a 1948 graduate of St. Patrick's High School in Kankakee.

DOWNERS GROVE -- Thomas Eugene Markgraff, 49, of Downers Grove, and the son of a Custer Park resident, died Monday (Feb. 24, 2003) at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Services will be private.
R.W. Patterson Funeral Homes, Braidwood, is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Markgraff was employed as project manager for construction jobs in the Chicago area.
He was born July 8, 1953, in Chicago, the son of Charles Henry and Verna Leibert Markgraff. His father is deceased.
Surviving are his mother of Custer Park; one brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Suzanne Markgraff of Phoenix, Ariz.; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Kristie and Michael Kinch of Herscher and Laurie and Frank Antos of Custer Park.
Leone Newton
WILMINGTON -- Leone "Lee" Newton, 80, of Wilmington, formerly of Chicago, died Monday (Feb. 24, 2003) at Embassy Care Center in Wilmington.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 6 p.m. Thursday at St. Nicholas Tolentine Catholic Church, 3721 W. 62nd St. in Chicago, where she was a longtime member.
Freitag Funeral Home in Wilmington is in charge of arrangements.
She was born Oct. 10, 1922, in Chicago, the daughter of Walter and Marie Larsen.
Her husband, Oscar "Newt" Newton, is deceased.
Surviving are one brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Ann Larsen of Indiana; one sister, Flo Colombe of Chicago; and several nieces and nephews.
Two brothers, Howard and Harvey Larsen; and one brother-in-law, Ernie Colombe, are deceased.
Ruth Ritter
MOMENCE -- Services for Ruth Elizabeth Ritter, 87, of Momence, were held Feb. 24 at Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church in Momence. Rev. Keith GeRue officiated.
Mrs. Ritter died Feb. 21, 2003.
Burial was in Shrontz cemetery in Momence. Pallbearers were Gary Jr., Jeff and Dave Ritter, James Brister, Jon Lopez and Steve and Erik Laue.
Kathleen Perzee
CLIFTON -- Services for Kathleen M. Perzee, 48, of rural Clifton, wre held Feb. 21 at the Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton. John Coney officiated.
Mrs. Perzee died Feb. 18, 2003.
Burial was in the Clifton cemetery. Pallbearers were Derek and Todd Perzee, Kieth Withaft, Jason Hemp, Brent Leadingham and Josh Bailey. Honorary pallbearers were Lyle and Ashley Loy.
William Wyss
DANFORTH -- Services for William H. Wyss Jr., 80, of Danforth, were held Feb. 22 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Danforth. Rev. James Gerth officiated.
Mr. Wyss died Feb. 18, 2003.
Burial was in Wenger cemetery in Gilman. Pallbearers were Jon Conrad, Ted, Steve, Adam and Rodney Wyss and Sam Fanning.
Richard Scott
CHEBANSE -- Richard S. Scott, 83, of Chebanse, died Sunday (Feb. 23, 2003) in Palm Harbor, Fla.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Private family burial will be held at a later date in Evergreen cemetery in Chebanse.
Arrangements are by the Kankakee Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes.
Mr. Scott was an engineer for General Mills and had also worked for 38 years as an expediter for the Henkel Corp.
He was born Feb. 24, 1919, in Chicago, the son of James R. and Mary Zinser Scott.
His wife, the former Margaret Larsen, whom he married
Nov. 2, 1951, in Kankakee, died April 20, 2001.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, David J. and Ellen Scott of Palm Harbor, Fla., Richard P. and Kay Scott of Clifton; and two granddaughters, Sarah Scott of Annapolis, Md. and Erin Scott of Clifton.
Two brothers, James P. Scott and David D. Scott, are deceased.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Mr. Scott was a member of the United Church of Christ in Chebanse and in Clearwater, Fla.
He enjoyed tent camping and was a scout leader for many years in Chebanse.
David Shear
David Michael Shear, 44, of Kankakee, died Sunday (Feb. 23, 2003) at Provena Our Lady of Victory Nursing Home in Bourbonnais.
Cremation rites were accorded by Hertz-Thoma Crematory.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Kankakee Valley.

Mr. Shear had been a cook at Dale's Pizza.
He was born Jan. 5, 1959, in Kankakee, the son of Ronald and Janice Farmer Shear.
Surviving are his father of Cherokee Village, Ark.; his mother of Bourbonnais; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara and Dan Dunn of Bourbonnais and Nancy and Nick Goeckner of Ashmore.
One brother, Mark; maternal grandparents and paternal grandfather are deceased.
Ethel Wenzelman
taught Sunday school 50 years
Ethel Wenzelman, 90, of Kankakee, died today (Feb. 25, 2003) at Manorcare Health Services.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Hertz-Thoma Chapel, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday. Rev. John Keifer will officiate.
Burial will be in Kankakee Memorial Gardens cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Kankakee Valley.
Mrs. Wenzelman was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Bonfield, where she had taught Sunday School for more than 50 years and was a member of the Ladies Aid.
She was born July 24, 1912, in Kankakee, the daughter of George and Clara Knaack Harms.
Her husband, Calvin Wenzelman, whom she married
Nov. 27, 1935, in Bonfield, is deceased.
Surviving are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Darwin and Jolene Wenzelman of Bonfield, Dean Wenzelman of Pontiac; one sister-in-law, Pauline Harms of Custer Park; six grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Three brothers, Arnold, Howard and Clarence Wenzelman; and one sister, Alice Davis are deceased.
She enjoyed bowling.
Victoria Boguslawski
WWII vet
MOMENCE -- Victoria Boguslawski, 86, of Momence, died Wednesday (Feb. 26, 2003) at her daughter's residence after a lengthy illness.
Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Cotter Funeral Home in Momence.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Momence, where she was a member. Rev. Vernon Arseneau will officiate. Military rites by the Momence Honor Guard will follow Mass.
Inurnment will be in St. Patrick cemetery in Momence.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Mrs. Boguslawski was a secretary for St. Joseph's High School in Chicago.
She was born Oct. 15, 1916, in Chicago, the daughter of Joseph and Victoria Kwak Pawlikowski.
Her husband, John Boguslawski, whom she married
Nov. 9, 1949, in Chicago, died March 18, 1993.
Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Edward Miskell of Homewood, Karen and Joseph Pugh of Sugarland, Texas, Deborah and Richard Marks of Bloomingdale; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Two brothers and four sisters are deceased.
She was a World War II veteran serving with the U.S. Coast Guard as a yeoman second-class.
Mrs. Boguslawski was a member of the Council of Catholic Women.
