Lorene Ritter
GRAND HAVEN, Mich. -- Visitation for Lorene Augusta Ritter, 86, of Grand Haven, Mich., will be from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the noon services at the Kankakee Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes. Rev. John Marvin will officiate.
Burial will be in Kankakee Memorial Gardens cemetery.

Mrs. Ritter died Friday (Jan. 24, 2003) at the North Ottawa Care Center in Grand Haven, Mich. She had been a resident of Christian Haven Home in Grand Haven since October, 2002.
She was born March 25, 1916 in Pulaski County, the daughter of William G. and Blanche Peterson.
Her husband, Gilbert Louis Ritter, whom she married
in 1941, died in 1961.
Lorene is survived by sons Darrell (Phyllis) Moreland, Gordon (Eileen) Ritter, all of Grand Haven, Mich.; daughters Sandra LoGalbo of Joliet, Caron (Steve) Arbuthnot of Kankakee, and Maleia (Steve) Sullock of Pinson, Tenn.; 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Owen Peterson.
Mrs. Ritter retired from Bear Brand Hosiery Company in Kankakee.
She enjoyed quilting, gardening, fishing, traveling, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Byron VadeBonCoeur
Byron A. VadeBonCoeur, 73, of Kankakee, died Friday (Jan. 24, 2003) at Riverside Medical Center.
There will be no visitation or services.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Inurnment will be in St. Anne Catholic cemetery in St. Anne.
Arrangements are by Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Bourbonnais.
Mr. VadeBonCoeur was born Oct. 11, 1929 in St. Anne, the son of Arthur and Evidelle Stahl VadeBonCoeur.
Surviving are two sisters, Norma Jean Williams of Piper City, Sister Alice Jean VadeBonCoeur, S.L. of Nerinx, Ky.; three brothers and one sister-in-law, Dwayne and Jane VadeBonCoeur of California, Robert VadeBonCoeur of Midlothian, and Patsy VadeBonCoeur of Kankakee; 12 nephews and six nieces.
Three brothers, Gerald, Earl and Roland VadeBonCoeur, are deceased.
Anna Wheeler
Anna "Ann" J. Wheeler, 90, of Kankakee, died Friday (Jan. 24, 2003) at Riverside Medical Center.
Visitation will be from 3:30-8 p.m. today at Hertz-Thoma Chapel in Kankakee, with a 3:30 p.m. wake service, and services at 10 a.m. Monday. Rev. Richard Pighini will officiate.
Burial will be in Kankakee Memorial Gardens cemetery.
Memorials may be made for Masses or to the donor's choice.
Mrs. Wheeler was born July 18, 1912 in Kankakee, the daughter of Stanley and Helena Schultz Janczak.
Her husband, Donald L. Wheeler, whom she married
in June 1939 in Kankakee, died May 24, 1977.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Roe and JoAnn Wheeler of Kankakee; two daughters, Patricia Bland and Dayle Seitz, both of Kankakee; one son-in-law, Richard H. Seitz of Grant Park; one sister, Viola Moisant of Kankakee; one brother and sister-in-law, Florian and Tris Janczak of Greenville, S.C.; 11 grandchildren, Marlene Wheeler and Tim Wheeler, both of Lockport, Dennis and Jody Wheeler of Frazee, Minn., Don Wheeler of Lake Geneva, Wis., Gerald and DeAnn Brinkmann, Roger Bland, and Chad and Michelle Williams, all of Kankakee, Michael and Joy Bland of Bonfield, David Bland of Chicago, Ruthann and Jack Reitz of Sauk Village, and Donald and Alexandra Seitz of Grant Park; 10 great-grandchildren, Tim, Matt, Jake, Kim, Scott, Stacey, Jenna, Maddie, MaKayla, and Madison; and many nieces and nephews.
One son-in-law, William Bland; one brother, William Janczak; and six sisters, Geneva Dixon, Antionette Bujonwski, Mary Ostrowski, Lillian Bertrand, Stella Iverson and Bernice Houde, are deceased.
Mrs. Wheeler retired from Kankakee Roper in 1969 after more than 20 years. Prior to Roper she worked at Bear Brand Hosiery in Kankakee.
She was of the Catholic faith.
She was a volunteer for the West Kankakee Fire Auxiliary.
She enjoyed traveling, bowling, crocheting, and playing cards with her family on Sunday afternoons.
Ardena Cluver
CISSNA PARK -- Visitation for Ardena A. Cluver, 80, of Cissna Park, will be from 4-8 p.m. today at the Knapp Funeral Home in Cissna Park, and from 10 a.m. Saturday until the 11 a.m. services at St. John's Lutheran Church in Ash Grove, where she was a member. Rev. Mark Lohnes will officiate.
Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran cemetery, Ash Grove.
Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, Ash Grove or to the donor's choice.
She died Thursday (Jan. 23, 2003) at the Gilman Nursing Pavilion.
Mrs. Cluver was a piano teacher for over 30 years and church organist for over 40 years.
She was born Sept. 18, 1922, in Ash Grove Township, the daughter of Alvin and Anna Schaumburg Hasselbring.
Her husband, Ernest W. Cluver, whom she married
May 25, 1941, in Cissna Park, died Feb. 6, 1994.
Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Anne and Sam Drayer of Rankin, Beth and Charles Nave of Kankakee, Julie and Max Bauer of Normal; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Three brothers, Arnold, Ardell and Aaron Hasselbring; one son, Mark Cluver; and one great-grandson, Trey Luecke, are deceased.
Richard Davies
PEOTONE -- Richard A. "Rick" Davies, 46, of Bloomingdale, formerly of Peotone, died Wednesday (Jan. 22, 2003) at the Bloomingdale Pavilion.
Cremation rites were accorded.
He was born May 3, 1956 in Waco, Texas.
Surviving are his father and stepmother, Richard J. DDS and Cathy Davies of Naples, Fla.; one brother and sister-in-law, Lee R. and Beth Davies of Wheaton; and one sister and brother-in-law, Ruth M. and Craig Farmer of Lake Zurich.
His mother, Ruth Mesenbrink Davies, died in 1992.
Audrey Hoger
PEOTONE -- Audrey Jane Hoger, 77, of Peotone, died suddenly Thursday (Jan. 23, 2003) at her home.
Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Fedde-Helfrich Chapel, Peotone, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
Burial will be in the Peotone cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lloyd and Monroe Striggow, Alan, Shawn, Trevor and Chris Hoger and Bill Albers.
Memorials may be made to Immanuel United Church of Christ, Peotone, or to the Peotone Paramedics.
She was born April 15, 1925, in Will Township, the daughter of Erwin and Dorothy Stadt Albers.
Surviving are her husband, Sylvester Hoger, whom she married
Dec. 17, 1944 in Beecher, of Peotone; two sons and daughters-in-law, Clyde and Judi Hoger of Lake City, Fla., Elroy and Sharon Hoger of Manhattan; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild and one step-great-great-grandchild; and one brother and sister-in-law, Leon and Eunice Albers of Beecher.
Mrs. Hoger was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Peotone.
Jack Pomon
A funeral Mass for Jack Daniel Pomon, 22, of rural Kankakee, was celebrated Jan. 22 at St. Teresa Catholic Church. Rev. Gregor Gorsic officiated.
Mr. Pomon died Jan. 18, 2003.
Burial was in the Aroma Park cemetery. Pallbearers were TJ Foulks, Corey and Lenny Pomon, Chris Foulks, Jason, John and Joseph Precup and Dan Buckman.
Madelin Sullivan
A funeral Mass for Madelin L. Sullivan, 94, of Bourbonnais, was celebrated Jan. 20 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Kankakee. Rev. Charles Wheeler officiated.
Mrs. Sullivan died Jan. 16, 2003.
Burial was in St. James cemetery, Irwin. Pallbearers were Joe, Andy, Josh, Jeremy and John Berns and J.D. Walck.
Tessie Clark
A funeral Mass for Tessie C. Clark, 104, of Kankakee, was celebrated Jan. 22 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Rev. Charles Wheeler officiated.
Mrs. Clark died Jan. 16, 2003.
Burial was in Mt. Calvary cemetery. Pallbearers were Paul Gerth, Steven and Dr. Joseph Mayotte, Clark and Jerome Gregoire and Tim Blanchette.
Alexis "Pat" St. Aubin
MANTENO -- A funeral Mass for Alexis L. "Pat" St. Aubin, 90, of Manteno, was celebrated Jan. 22 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Manteno. Revs. Edward Grotovsky, Tony Nugent and Edward O'Malley and Deacon Pete Henrisey co-officiated.
Mr. St. Aubin died Jan. 17, 2003.
Burial was in St. Joseph cemetery, Manteno. Pallbearers were Timothy, Kenric and Stephen Miller, Christopher LaMore and Bryan and Scott Sacadat.
David Schaumburg
WATSEKA -- Services for David D. Schaumburg, 68, of Watseka, were held Jan. 22 at the Baier Funeral Home in Watseka. Rev. Harold Grafe officiated.
Mr. Schaumburg died Jan. 19, 2003.
Burial was in Oak Hill cemetery, Watseka. Pallbearers were Kevin Bossong, Mark Hustedt, Lafe Milar Jr., Ron Corke, Terry McTaggart and Clint Schaumburg. Honorary pallbearers were Brent and Brice Redeker.
John Taden
CRESCENT CITY -- Services for John Nathon Taden, 52, of Frostproof, Fla., formerly of Crescent City, were held Jan. 23 at the Baier Funeral Home in Watseka. Rev. Gary Milton officiated.
Mr. Taden died Jan. 18, 2003.
Burial was in GAR cemetery, Watseka. Pallbearers were Allen Johnson, Larry Leppard, Doug Post, Melvin and Roy Redman and John Schoolman.
