GRANT PARK -- Arlene A. Bohl, 86, of rural Grant Park, died Saturday (Jan. 18, 2003) at the Health Care Center in Lowell, Ind.
Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. today at the Hack Funeral Home in Beecher.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Grant Park, where she was a member. Rev. Christopher Pratt will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran cemetery in Grant Park.
Memorials may be made to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Grant Park.
She was born Nov. 24, 1916, in rural Grant Park, the daughter of Christopher and Augusta Carsten Pfingsten.
Her husband, Henry Bohl, whom she married
Sept. 22, 1940, died May 24, 1989.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Karen Bohl of Manteno, Lloyd and Regina Bohl of Grant Park; four grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.
One son, Homer Henry, who died in 1956; one daughter, Lola Lynn, who died in 1949; five sisters and four brothers, are deceased.
Lenual Suddarth
Services for Lenual Suddarth, 83, of English, Ind., formerly of Bourbonnais, were held Jan. 17 at the Kankakee Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes. Rev. Larry Schreffler officiated.
Mr. Suddarth died Jan. 14, 2003.
Burial was in All Saints cemetery, Bourbonnais. Pallbearers were Neal Bonds, Shelby Shannon, Samuel Thomas, Mark Brosseau, Jeffery L. Satterfield, Eric Brown and Jim Montgomery.
Clarabell Feller
WATSEKA -- Services for Clarabell Feller, 88, of Watseka, were held Jan. 17 at Baier Funeral Home, Watseka. Rev. Hubert Lytle officiated.
Mrs. Feller died Jan. 14, 2003.
Burial was in Iroquois Memorial Park cemetery, Watseka. Pallbearers were Dan Adams, Richard Corke, Jim Forrest, Joel and Michael Nasers and John Nimz.
Robert Ruyle
Services for Robert F. "Bob" Ruyle, 65, of Bourbonnais, were held Jan. 17 at Wesley United Methodist Church in Bradley. Rev. Jay DeMent officiated.
Mr. Ruyle died Jan. 14, 2003.
Burial was in Mound Grove Gardens cemetery. Pallbearers were Seth and Aaron Knupp, Todd Russell, Tim Zane, Jeff Marcotte and Bill DeBloewe. Honorary pallbearers were Dan Ruyle and Bob Russell.
Thomas Johnston
Services for Thomas Johnston, 53, of Kankakee, were held Jan. 17 at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Bourbonnais. Rev. Andy Hansen officiated.
Mr. Johnston died Jan. 13, 2003.
Burial was in Abraham Lincoln National cemetery in Elwood. Pallbearers were Pat Kane, Lee Case, Darren and Raymond Studer, and Darcy and Wade Mullett.
Richard Owen,

Visitation for Richard A. Owen, 78, of Bourbonnais, will be from 3-7 p.m. today, with a military ritual service at 5 p.m. by the Bradley VFW and Bradley American Legion at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Rev. Michael E. Curtis of Rantoul will officiate.
Burial will be in All Saints cemetery, Bourbonnais.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Kankakee Valley.
He died Friday (Jan. 17, 2003) at his residence.
Mr. Owen was a paint mixer with Valspar for 35 years.
He was born March 2, 1924 in Bradley, the son of Raymond and Jeannette Saindon Owen.
He married
the former Annabelle Bentz Nov. 7, 1942 in Bradley. They recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
Surviving are his wife of Bourbonnais; two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard J. and Marlene Owen of Bourbonnais, Mark A. and Debby Owen of Rantoul; one daughter and son-in-law, Nancy S. and Steve Bartruff of Kingman, Ariz.; grandchildren, Greg and Patti Owen, Jeff and Marge Owen, Christine Owen and fiance, Robert Papineau Jr., Mark Jr., Robbie, JeAnna, Stephen, Jeremiah and Janelle Owen, Kevin and Lindsey Hurst, Philip, April, Steven and Ryan Bartruff; great-grandchildren, Jennifer and Allison Owen, Rachel Prochazka and Tyler Ruder; four step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Melvin and Elizabeth Gilbert; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Marilyn and George Drolet, Ray and Julia Crivellone, Marcia Olejnieczak, Steve Schroder, and John Page; special cousins, Paul Owen and Jerry Young of Bradley; and special nieces, Vickie Lustig of Bourbonnais, and Debbie Porter of Schertz, Texas.
One brother, Robert; and one sister, Gloria Mae Oliver, preceded him in death.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.
He was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley.
Mr. Owen was a charter member and also a lifetime member of Bradley VFW Post 6502, a past commander, and a department inspector for the VFW.
He was a 59-year member of the Bradley American Legion Post 766, where he held several offices and was the commander twice.
Mr. Owen was a volunteer at the Manteno Veterans Home with over 3, 000 hours of service.
He was a 14-gallon blood donor for the American Red Cross.
Jack Pomon

Visitation for Jack Daniel Pomon, 22, of rural Kankakee, will be from 3-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Kankakee Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes and from 9 a.m. Wednesday until the 10 a.m. celebration of the funeral Mass at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Kankakee, where he was a member. Rev. Gregor Gorsic will officiate.
Burial will be in the Aroma Park cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the family wishes.
He died Saturday (Jan. 18, 2003) at Riverside Medical Center.
Mr. Pomon was a union carpenter out of Joliet and worked for GW Thidel Construction.
He was born Jan. 31, 1980 in Kankakee.
Surviving are his father and stepmother, George and Debra Pomon of Bradley; his mother and stepfather, Debra and John Foulks of Danforth; his fiancee, Deanna Skeen of rural Kankakee; one sister, Kelly Foulks of West Dundee; seven brothers and one sister-in-law, T.J. Foulks of Danforth, Corey and Kristina Pomon of Kankakee, Lenny Pomon of Montana, Chris Foulks of Raleigh, N.C., Jason Precup and John Precup, both of Bourbonnais, Joseph Precup of Bradley; maternal grandparents, Evert and Tina Crabtree of Cropsey; paternal grandparents, George and Pearl Pomon of Bradley and Dean and Maxine Foulks of Monticello, Ind.; aunts, Kathleen and Andy Pristach of St. Anne, Denise and Lonnie Hish of Denver, Colo., Diane and David Graves of Tampa, Fla., Donna Ward of Grand Rapids, Mich., Diane and Jerry Batterbee of Upper Peninsula, Mich., Marty and Russell Winger of Walcott, Ind.; uncle, Dan and Linda Leman of Francesville, Ind.; one niece, Isabella Marie Pomon of Kankakee; and anxiously awaiting the arrival of nephew, Nicholas Jackson Pomon in one month; great-grandmother, Eula Perkins of Etoile, Ky.; and special family friends, Bob and Linda Skeen of rural Kankakee.
His great-grandfather, Ed Perkins, is deceased.
He was a 1999 graduate of Bishop McNamara High School. He was an artist and had been accepted into the American Academy of Art.
Mr. Pomon enjoyed his time living in Montana and Alaska working in construction. He also enjoyed woodworking, fishing and camping. He loved the outdoors and spending time with Deanna. He had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed everyone he met. He was never happier than when he was helping someone else. Most of all, he loved his family and friends with all his heart.
No words can ever express how many lives Jack touched and just how much he will be missed.
Gerald Ragain
WILMINGTON -- Visitation for Gerald Ragain, 68, of Wilmington, will be from 3-8 p.m. today at the Reeves Funeral Home in Wilmington, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Interment will be in the Abraham Lincoln National cemetery in Elwood.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Kuzma Care Cottage are appreciated.
He died Thursday (Jan. 16, 2003) at Morris Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
Mr. Ragain worked for R.W. Dunteman for 32 years as a superintendent, and then for Issert Construction for 10 years, retiring from the Local 150 union of operating engineers.
He was born Feb. 8, 1934, in Kankakee, the son of Miskel and Marge Ragain. His parents are deceased.
Survivors include his loving wife, the former Margaret Klegman, of Wilmington; two daughters, Barb (Jeff) Lardi and Beverly (Conrad) Stanley, all of Wilmington; two sons, Joseph (Sheena) Ragain and Charles Ragain, all of Wilmington; two special nieces, Melissa and Vicki Klegman; nine grandchildren, Jeff and Tony Lardi, Etty and Beth Stanley, Matt, Jackie, Nicole, Maggie and Zachary Ragain; one great-granddaughter, Kayla Oswald Lardi; three brothers, Larry (Sharon) Ragain, Richard (Mary Ellen) Ragain and George (Doris) Ragain; one brother-in-law, Les Sorensen; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
One sister, Shirley Sorensen, is deceased.
He was a Korean War veteran.

Corrinne Schaaff, 71, of Kankakee, died Saturday (Jan. 18, 2003) at her home, following a sudden illness.
Visitation will be from 9-10:45 a.m. Thursday at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Kankakee.
David Schaumburg

WATSEKA -- David D. Schaumburg, 68, of Watseka, died Sunday (Jan. 19, 2003) at Magnolia Wood Health Care in Watseka.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the 11 a.m. services at the Baier Funeral Home in Watseka. Rev. Harold Grafe will officiate.
Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery in Watseka.
Memorials may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Crescent City, Baby Fold, or to the donor's choice.
Mr. Schaumburg was the Middleport road commissioner for 34 years.
He was born Oct. 28, 1934, in Bryce, the son of Louis and Edna Hoppe Schaumburg. His parents are deceased.
Surviving are his wife, the former Dorothy Stilwell, whom he married
Jan. 8, 1970, in Watseka; two stepsons and daughters-in-law, Bruce and Sheila Miller of Kentucky, Stephen and Lori Miller of rural Watseka; one sister, Norma Wade of Clinton; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and godsons, Brent and Brice Redeker.
One sister, Mary; four brothers, Roger, Stan, Eiman and Dwayne, are deceased.
Mr. Schaumburg was active in the Watseka Little League and the Babe Ruth ball teams.
He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Crescent City.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a Cardinals fan.
Alexis 'Pat' St. Aubin

MANTENO -- Visitation for Alexis L. "Pat" St. Aubin, 90, of Manteno, will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Manteno.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Manteno, where he was a member.
Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery, Manteno.

Mr. St. Aubin was a retired longtime farmer in the Manteno area and businessman. He was the former owner/operator of Manteno Hardware. He was also a real estate broker.
He also was a Manteno Township Board trustee and was active in community affairs.
He died Friday (Jan. 17, 2003) in Palm Beach, Fla. after a short illness.
He was born April 28, 1912, in St. George, the son of Emile and Louise Contois St. Aubin.
Surviving are his wife, the former Virginia Wilson, whom he married
Nov. 20, 1937, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Kankakee, of Manteno; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Barbara and James Miller, Patsy and Darrel LaMore, all of Manteno, Jacqueline Sacadat of Peoria, Donna and David Dombroski of San Diego, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
One grandson, Michael Miller; three brothers, Artel, Hector and Leo; and two sisters, Mabel Senesac and Rita Savoie, are deceased.
Mr. St. Aubin was a member of the Holy Name Society at his church and a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus member.
He enjoyed playing bridge and golfing.
